Today , I visit this Korean BCD tofu house during business trip with my colleagues. Fofu is very delicious and side dish is very fresh and refilled. Waiters are very kind. I was so happy with this food and restaurant.

Google
Highly recommend this place. Shortly after going over to this place, my partner and I fell in love with the food and staff’s hospitality. There’s about 20+ tables and the wait times are typically short. On a Saturday night, just expect about 30min of wait time. The moment you get seated, they bring you side dishes including the pickled cucumber and kimchi, with a small fish. The galbi dish with spicy beef soup is sensational! They serve it hot in a cast iron and you can hear it sizzle!! We always see the same staff working hard throughout the floor. Our favorite person is Sunny and she’s very helpful.

Google
BCD Tofu House-first time visit. The food was tasty pipping hot, the Kireab tea was good. The food pricing is about $2.00 - $3.00 more expensive than Gaya Korean Tofu & Grill, Torrance Blvd. Besides, the hot pots for food is much smsller than Gaya, that means, less food.

Google
BCD tofu staple in Korean tofu and barbecue short ribs. Silky tofu, classic stone pot rice. Piping hot even your ancestors would be proud!

Food is so good. Manager take care us very well. Very attentive, do not need to ask anything. They bring for us. Thank you for incredible service.

Google
BCD is a well-known restaurant specializing in sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) among Koreans. Their side dishes and main dishes are incredibly delicious. Since it's always packed with people, there's usually a wait.

Google
I’ve been a regular customer of this long-established restaurant for about 15 years. Recently, I visited for lunch after a long time. One of the highlights of this place is that the rice is always freshly cooked. The bone-in short ribs are slightly sweet, tender, and delicious. The service from the staff is impeccable; they are very sincere and attentive, ensuring that napkins are replenished and to-go boxes are provided without any wait. The prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean, and overall, it’s a highly satisfying Korean restaurant.

Google
Loved 😍 the tofu soup very well. The side dishes were constantly replaced. The fried fish was delicious. The spicy chicken, ribs, and bulgogi are as well. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
It's been years since we ate at BCD Tofu House in Torrance. I saw a yelp review and was craving something tasty for lunch. We recognized the restaurant after driving into their parking lot. We were seated quickly but it took a while for anyone to take our order. We ordered the spicy pork and kalbi combos off their lunch menu, which is good until 3 pm. With lunch, we had a choice of their tofu soups. I went with the dumpling soup and my husband ordered the one with beef. It was sizzling when brought to our table. We each also got a hot stone pot of rice. The portions were generous for lunch and we took the rest home for dinner. My husband enjoyed his spicy pork and I liked the kalbi. They were pretty busy on a weekday, but we were served pretty quickly once our orders were taken. I'll be back!

Yelp
Was looking forward to try this place as I heard it's great for groups. BCD is located at the end of Victory Center on the Yoshinoya or Del Taco side. It is in a large strip mall full of eateries. There were several parking spots available including some in the back. I arrived early to reserve a table for my friends and it actually was not busy yet and there were plenty of tables available for our group size. The wait staff made sure we had waters and utensils. Then other groups, individuals, and couples started coming in and they were getting quite busy. This place sure gets loud. It can be tricky to hear your friend sitting 2 chairs away at your table w/how the acoustics are here. Service was fine and a couple of wait staff served us. I don't go out to Korean food often as I have to be cautious of my certain food/spice allergies. I ordered a bulgogi plate w/the least amount of spice. It was tasty. This was almost a month ago so I honestly don't recall the sides that accompanied it. My friends enjoyed their variety of dishes. Not super memorable or remarkable but A-OK!

Yelp
BCD Korean food is one of my top go places for good Korean food. I love the small fried fish that comes out first with all the ban Chan- totally love that! My favorite is the hot tofu soup. U get the veggie and the pork sometimes. The tofu is soft the soup tastes great it's not watery and it comes with rice and if you get the combo you can get chicken, bulgogi, spicy meat, Lani ribs and other meats. I usually get the chicken and it's very taster. The chicken marinade is delicious and the tofu soup on the side is a good pair for a mea. The ban Chan is delicious with the kimchi and jopchae being my favorites. bff is a definite try if you haven't been there. Goodeats definitely!

Yelp
I've eaten here once a long time ago so I'm glad that it tastes just as good as before. I thoroughly enjoyed my spicy Seafood Soon Tofu which had two shrimps, several clams, and one mussel. Lots of flavor and perfect with the various sides and piping hot rice. My company ordered the Dumpling Soon Tofu and a side of Beef Galbi which had great flavor. Service was very attentive and welcoming.

Yelp
This was my first time at this BCD location, and I had an overall wonderful dinner here. The galbi combo comes with a small tofu soup, and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people who are semi-hungry. The banchan (side dishes) are refillable and simple yet full of flavor. They accompany the galbi and tofu soup so well, and taste just as delicious with a bowl of rice. Would highly recommend anyone to come here for delicious Korean food!!

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, and price was reasonable. First time visiting BCD, but definitely won't be the last time.

Yelp
Returned after last year's visit, and this time around it was far better experience, notwithstanding the last visit was great, too. Glad to be there after lunchtime, so it was not crowded. Their complimentary banchan dishes were still unbearable. Of course, their rice and tofu soups were unforgettably delicious.

Oklee R.

Yelp
I think the food is good and tastes consistent with other BCD locations. The restaurant is clean as well. I think this location is slower though in terms of food preparation and service. Post-Covid, none of the servers will take the rice out of the stone pot and place it in a bowl (you're on your own), and if you want hot water poured into the pot, you have to ask multiple times.

Yelp
Service was questionable but the food slaps. The fried fish appetizer was a yummy introduction. I ordered the spicy seafood and beef combo soup and my friend ordered the spicy seafood soup. We ended up both getting the spicy seafood soup but I had 0 regrets. The broth was so flavorful and hot. The banchan was also great. Our server filled my friends rice bowl with some broth but skipped me for some reason and we never got water refills. Despite the wonky experience I would definitely reccomend.

Yelp
Atmosphere - Clean, lots of seating. Food / Taste - Ordered the combination meals with tofu soup. We got the Galbi, bulgogi and teriyaki chicken. We also ordered the mild seafood and dumplings tofu soups. Japchae and mandoo were authentic. Meats were tender and flavorful. Tofu soups were very tasty and remained hot. The banchan (kimchi, cucumber, fish cake, seaweed salad, Tako) was delicious. Customer Service - Excellent service! The staff were very helpful with all of our questions since it was our first time there. Price - Average

Yelp
Many of our friends raved about CBD tofu for the longest time and we finally decided to give it a try while looking for a place for lunch in a cool fall Saturday morning. Located in the eastern end of Torrance, it is a standalone building with plenty of parking spaces. The servers were very nice and we got seated right away. The menu is shown on the paper placemat on each seating and it was very easy to understand. All orders come with small complementary side dishes plus their signature salted small fried fish. I ordered non-spicy seafood tofu. It was ready in about 15 minutes and the bowl was boiling hot which is perfect to cook the complementary raw egg. The tofu had a very nice texture (firm but smooth) and the seafood were fresh. The soup broth was on the light side but not bland. The rice was served in a stone pot which kept it warm throughout the meal (one suggestion, the slightly burnt part of the rice at the bottom of the pot can be added to your soup, it is quite unique and tasty). The complementary side dishes were great, kimchi was well seasoned and not overly spicy, the small fish was tasty, but my personal favorite was potato salad (yes, potato salad!) Overall, a great meal and for sure we will stop by again soon.

Yelp
We arrived at BCD Tofu House and it was packed at 6:30pm. We were able to grab a parking spot that was close to Del Taco. The manager greeted us right when we entered and we grabbed the table in the corner of the room. It was extremely busy with all the tables taken and not easy to converse with the noise level. We ordered C1 - Kalbi Combo, it includes an order of Kalbi and a small Soon Tofu with beef and medium spiciness. And S3 - Soon Tofu with seafood with medium spiciness. When ordering only Soon Tofu, then it is the regular size of Soon Tofu. If ordering a combo, then it will be a small size of the Soon Tofu. To me, the medium is the level of spiciness comparable to hot salsa and the hot is the level of spiciness to habanero salsa. If ordering the Soon Tofu, a raw egg will be given. Crack the egg into the boiling Soon Tofu and with a spoon bury the egg to the bottom of the pot so the egg will cook. The egg shell should be set aside to be thrown away. All dishes come with a small fried fish, rice in stone pot, and assorted ban chan (side dish). The fried fish is delicious with lots of little bones. Scoop the rice into a small metal bowl. There should be a thin layer of slightly crispy rice left inside of the stone pot that had rice, fill that stone pot with hot barley tea. After finishing the rice, then the scorched rice barley tea can be eaten with the refill of the ban chan (side dishes). We will come back again!

Yelp
highlights: - very thankful the staff let us bring in our service animal dog - excellent customer service, made sure our water was refilled - wide variety and plenty of banchan - LA kalbi combo (5/5): got it with the soybean and honestly so good. to be honest, this combo was so much food and could easily feed 2 ppl - outdoor seating only available for dinner service - will def come back

Yelp
Delicious as always. Their team kept my side dishes filled and came by to check on me multiple time. My waitress Jenny was great!

Yelp
Came here with my coworkers. I was the first to arrive for a party of eight. I didn't particularly like how the lady responded when I asked for a table for 8 but not until my coworker walked in and she asked if she could help her, coworker says I'm with her, the lady smiled and immediately started getting a table ready. Mind you she had several minutes to start getting the table I asked for, before my coworker walked in but it's just my observation. Non the less, we ordered a lot of food and it was really good. 3 stars for service and 4 star for food.

Yelp
"They treated me like a backup dancer, not the main act" I came in expecting a meal worthy of a K-pop idol, but instead, I was left feeling like a forgotten backup dancer. After my food hit the table, it was like I became invisible. No water, no check-ins, no "how's everything?"--just me, sitting there, wondering if I had accidentally wandered into the twilight zone of bad service. Honestly, the food here is like the B-side track of a K-pop album--not terrible, but definitely not a hit. The K-town spots are the real headliners--better food, better vibes, and they actually treat you like you exist. This place? It's the trainee of restaurants, and it's got a long way to go before it debuts in my heart. Two stars because I didn't leave hungry, but I left thirsty... for both water and good service. Not coming back to this flop of a location.

Yelp
I LOVE BCD! And this place is super fire and generous. They always have a plethora of their side dishes (the fish is amazing) and are generous at giving a lot. I love getting their combo special with the galbi. On mothers day this year they offered free spicy crab or bulgogi to customers! Definitely a must try.

Linh H.

Yelp
Service was very bad, we came while the restaurant is half empty, but when we asked for an extra bowl of rice we raised our hands more than 10 times and one of the servers saw us yet walked away and never come back to check on us. Possibly the worst BCD place out of all the BCD places me and my boyfriend have went to. Food is great as always. We just ended up eating the rice in the hot stone without the extra bowl of rice. They didn't come check on us the whole time we were there but the moment we raise our hands again for a check they can suddenly see our hands through their peripheral vision and gave us our check, the server even stood by our table and wait for the check. Overall very bad experiences with all the servers and their service there.

Yelp
5+++ for BCD Torrance! We celebrated Mother's Day lunch on Sunday, 5/12/24. Glad we came early bc by 11:30 am, there was a line forming outside. They were able to get us seated quickly with 11 people at 11am. Jenny was our host and she was absolutely phenomenal! She was friendly, generous and gave us top notch service. Her hospitality is highly commendable. Food was delicious as always. Ambiance was homey and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the food and most especially, the Moms had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the delicious food. Thank you BCD and Jenny for serving us delicious food and fond memories that will last forever.

Yelp
You can't go wrong with a hot sizzling bowl of soondubu! I miss when it used to be like $7 lol. But nonetheless it is still delicious as ever. They serve you a small fried croaker and fresh side dishes before your main dish comes out. Love the rice in the stone pots. After you scoop out the rice, you can add the hot barley tea to the stone pot and eat it at the end of your meal. It tends to get quite busy, especially on the weekends. The only thing I will say is that the service could be better. They took away the little call bells so it can be difficult to get the attention of the servers when it's busy.

Yelp
3.8 rounded to a 4. This place is busyyyy. Business is bustling. Soft tofu stew is solid, but not amazingly good and worth going out of the way for. We tried the kimchi, mushroom, and mixed stews. We grabbed the combination sets. They have lunch special prices for a lot of their menu listings, but they don't apply on weekends and holidays. BCD specializes in soft tofu stew, but their non soft tofu stew menu items are so good. While I feel like their stews are like that of other places, their non-stew items are top notch. I also felt like the stews were a bit overpriced despite inflation. The LA galbi was great and the best thing there is there spicy raw marinated crab. The sauce for the spicy raw marinated crab is so succulent and probably the best I've had. Try out their spicy raw marinated crab combo! It comes with the SRMC, soft tofu stew, and a small grilled fish. The banchan/side dishes here are also sooo good. I loved the raw marinated squid. Inside the restaurant isn't the nicest, but not terrible. It's like a larger, old town mom and pop shop. But it is clean and busy. Service felt rushed and impatient however. Our service kept pushing us to order more. I understanding upselling and suggestive selling, but this felt a bit rushed, impatient, and almost demanding. They were quietly attentive however and were nice when we paid the bill.

Yelp
If you're a fan of soondubu, I'm sure you've been to BCD. BCD is considered the best soondubu restaurant, even among native Koreans from Korea. I'll write a separate review for the one in Ktown, but I wanted to write one specifically for this location since I think their spicy raw crab is seriously underrated and not mentioned enough. We usually get the set menu with the spicy raw crab, and it is SO worth it. I'm almost afraid to let the secret out, but they give you a huge amount for the set menu and it is seriously the best spicy raw crab I've had anywhere. I used to go to BCD in Ktown decades ago when they used to give it as one of the free banchan, and back then, you could ask for more if you finished it. Now it's off of their free banchan list but it still as delicious as I remember. To me, their soondubu tastes the same as the Ktown one, but this place is far less busy. Soondubu craving is real, and I'll always come to BCD when I get a hankering. Consistent and delicious.

Yelp
Great service! Sunny was an amazing server. She was very friendly and helpful! Her service will be our reason for returning
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
I like this spot better than the Wilshire one. It's small but it's not crazy. The consistency and flavor of the food is the same if not better since the chicken is cooked way better than the other spot. The wait is not insane and the service is great.
google avatar

Bianka C.

Yelp
We always pass by and it's always packed so decided to come in. We were a table of 6 adults and 3 kids and they sat us right away the whole place was full, every table was taken which is usually a good sign. But honestly for me everything was just mediocre. I want to say maybe I ordered the wrong thing but i feel I ordered almost everything on the menu. Maybe an off day? We ordered their spicy pork, bulgogi, Galbi, seafood pancake, tofu japchae, dumplings, assorted tofu soup, ham and sausage tofu soup and their original beef tofu soup. It was okay and service was kind of slow and didn't really check up on us or take empty plates out of the way for us or bring us extra plates and silverware. So overall it was just okay.
google avatar

Leslee R.

Yelp
Terrible service! The food was mediocre. Only the sides are worthy. Never got asked if we needed something. Servers ignore you when you ask for napkins. Employees looked overwhelmed. Wouldn't visit this location again.
google avatar

Monica C.

Yelp
It's alot more then tofu, I love this place, it's very good and the soup is always piping hot. A excellent Korean experience. Fresh and healthy eats.
google avatar

Lan N.

Yelp
I love BCD Tofu House! Especially for a cold night when I'm starving. You get so much food!! Is there anything better than banchan? I usually get the galbi+soondubu soup combo. It comes with a whole small fried fish! And an egg to put in your soup. Plus rice and all the banchan. We will usually get the japchae as well to share. It feels like a feast with it all laid out. The service is pretty fast. It can get packed, so there might be a little bit of a wait but they get ppl in and out pretty quick. Always a good, comforting go-to!

Marina S.

Yelp
Great food, casual and they were nice and let us stay past closing. Sunny was a great server and everything was really yummy.
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
Wow, a non-perfect experience at BCD? I'm hesitant to write this review as I feel my experience at this location is a one-off, but at the same time, it was distracting to get a sub-par experience when other locations have been have been respectful, this one seems to treat their guests differently based on where they're from. I hope that I do get to return here at some time, it has been a little while since I was there, I am just finishing this review late. Soon Tofu for life!
google avatar

Donna B.

Yelp
We went there today because we just wanted a bowl of comforting Soon Tofu - I got the dumpling and my friend got the assorted. We've been there before and it seem to be a lot more watered down this time and not as good as previous times. Also both the dumplings in my soup were broken open and I only got two! However it was still decent and hit the spot. Plus I love the Banchan dishes and the little fried fish that comes ahead of time. An extra plus for the rice and the clay cooker that you can scrape out and pour tea in - one of my favorite things! All the servers were very attentive and actually came around with more Banchan and you could pick which one she wanted which I really liked. I will certainly go back and try it again.
google avatar

Kumbi V.

Yelp
My first introduction to tofu soup was this exact spot. It comes with rice, banchans, and a small fried fish. Every now and then I crave tofu soup and this place always hits the spot. TIP: If you are ordering thru door dash, call after ur order is placed and ask to add an egg or to customize ur banchans.

修宇

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place if you have a lot of free time. Service is fucking horrible. I don't know what they are doing... Couldn't even get ahold of the waitress. Being to other BCD and this one is the worst.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Whoever answers the phone is very rude. They don't even let you finish your order before they try to hang up on you. I know they are busy, but every time you call, they either pick up and don't say anything or put the phone on busy. Please manage your employees.

Teniya J.

Yelp
The food as always was excellent the service was very fast and accurate the atmosphere was cozy for it to have been mother's Day weekend it was not that crowded if you had to wait you waited no more than 10 to 15 minutes prices have one up but that's to be expected see myself going back in the future again they're fried garlic tofu was the star of the night
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
Immediately, yes. Especially on cold days! This is the spot for comforting tofu soup. My friend and I shared the short ribs and each had our own tofu soup! Seafood tofu soup always hits! And they do not skimp out on the seafood/tofu. The spicier, the better, tbh. It gets crowded during dinner times and weekends! Great service too! Very attentive!
google avatar

Christopher K.

Yelp
I don't know about everyone else, but 순두부 is my favorite food. BCD never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere is busy and hectic, but that's part of the experience. I come about one every two months and you should too. The only thing that may be bad is that they don't give me enough 반찬 .
google avatar

Renee D.

Yelp
A must try! Took my husband here for the first time and he's been trying to go back everyday lol. I know you think of tofu as being boring but this place knows what they are doing! It was my first time going to this location. I normally go to the Wilshire location which is 24hours btw. Short ribs - 10/10 love Korean Short Ribs. Pork - 10/10 The marinated is sooo flavorful Tofu Soup - 10/10 It's literally a party in my mouth Sides - 10/10 All fresh
google avatar

Mints K.

Yelp
Amazing fast service place. Food is tasty. Would like to try spicy raw crab when we here next. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Janet K.

Yelp
3 1/2 stars for this location. The waitresses are great. They checked in on us several times and went above and beyond to take care of us. Unfortunately the food was not as good as the BCD in Cerritos. The tofu soup was overly spiced and yet lacking a depth of flavor. Warning to spice intolerant peeps. They amp up the spice overall on all their dishes so if you want medium spice ask for mild, etc.
google avatar

Joanmarie S.

Yelp
This restaurant is just what you need on a cold/rainy day! I was craving tofu soup and it did not disappoint as I left satisfied. I got the medium spicy tofu soup which came with rice, egg, and small dishes (including fried fish). My vegan sister was able to eat here as there is water based broth, though she still was given a fried fish. The inside is big and crowded. I recommend you coming 30 minutes before because we waited around that time to get seated after putting our name in. The person calling our names seemed a bit impatient and rushed. Also, we went around 8pm and it was still crowded inside so we had to talk louder than normal. Overall, this will hit the spot when you're looking for tofu soup!
google avatar

Katrina V.

Yelp
BCD Tofu House are in a couple of locations. This Sepulveda Torrance location is conveniently easy to spot when you're driving past. The excellence of their food is sharpness of taste. I love their soups. They are warm and hearty.

H L.

Yelp
Best service and reliable BCD quality. Staff is good with refills of side dishes a drinks.
google avatar

Stella L.

Yelp
Can't really go wrong here. BCD has been around for quite some time with many locations but it was my first time at this torrance location. Flavors and quality are the same for the most part but I did notice that my soup did not have as much tofu compared to previous experiences. The side dishes are not as good as the koreatown locations but not bad. The service is also quite slow and not well-managed. It got busy around lunch time with a waitlist but didn't have to wait too long. It was actually the first time that I noticed a fine print which offers a free soft drink to the designated driver of the party. I may have been one of the first to have asked for this as the employee was completely unaware of this.
google avatar

Vipula G.

Yelp
Weren't motivated enough to make the trick to Koreatown but when we discovered a location close to home - we had to check it out. I love everything about it! I am not korean, but love the food and while I can't lay claim to how authentic it is - BCD tofu house food is very, very delicious. Our favorite is the Galbi, Spicy Park Bulgogi,Kimchi Stew, Original BCD tofu soup. Always paired with a couple of bottles of soju! Just writing about it wants me to go and get a meal. The restaurant itself is unassuming, and we have never had a long wait in this location - which has been a huge win!

Y K.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Try not to go during rush hours. But if you can not avoid rush hour time. They will try to work hard to get you in sooner then later.

Amelia H.

Yelp
My friends and i came here after studying, the delicious food and quick seating made us all happy and relaxed. The waiters ensure u have the best experience in both meals and service! 10/10 recommend :) our waiter Sunny was the sweetest, a rare experience for teenage customers at restaurants. She made a wonderful impression. I am def coming here again

Yelp
Right after work I was taken to this nice restaurant that sounded familiar. Once arriving we had to wait outside and write on the waitlist. We didn't wait long and got ourselves the table. It smell so good and boy was I just started to chew. This was my first time and my great friend didn't mind to give me recommendations. And I went on simple. Picking the Soon Tofu original beef and went with the Mild Option. Didn't take long as we were served ice water. The entire time waiting I just read the menu and looked around, as this was a new experience for me. Once we got the food I dug in tried to follow what my friend was doing. As the tofu was boiling hot we were told the crack the egg and let it cook there. Serving my rice and eating some of the unlimited sides. After trying to figure out how this would all work, I finally dug in and ate as much as I could. It was very filling and was it affordable. I enjoyed it very much and I thank my good friend that insisted on taking me there!
