BCD Tofu House in Torrance is my favorite spot for tofu soup! The food is always delicious and affordable, with so many great options to choose from. I got the dumpling tofu soup and it was so comforting and flavorful. The Korean pancake was also delicious—crispy and perfectly cooked. The servers were nice and friendly, and the restaurant had a lively, busy vibe that made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food!

BCD tofu house is famous for its soontofu but other menus such as seafood pancake and hot stone bibimbap is also very good. Soon tofu is best when it's cold but even when during the summer time there are many other options to try. Must try korean food in Southbay area.

BCD is always value worthy. The portions are large and this location is generous with their banchans. The japchae could have used a little smokier but overall another great meal.

Highly recommend this place. Shortly after going over to this place, my partner and I fell in love with the food and staff’s hospitality. There’s about 20+ tables and the wait times are typically short. On a Saturday night, just expect about 30min of wait time. The moment you get seated, they bring you side dishes including the pickled cucumber and kimchi, with a small fish. The galbi dish with spicy beef soup is sensational! They serve it hot in a cast iron and you can hear it sizzle!! We always see the same staff working hard throughout the floor. Our favorite person is Sunny and she’s very helpful.

Today , I visit this Korean BCD tofu house during business trip with my colleagues. Fofu is very delicious and side dish is very fresh and refilled. Waiters are very kind. I was so happy with this food and restaurant.

After more than 20+ years of being a loyal customer, I can honestly say I have never experienced service this poor. From the moment our order was taken, we were rushed and made to feel like an inconvenience. We ordered drinks along with our food, but they never arrived. When I tried to get the original server's attention, she ignored and dismissed me, signaling for another server instead. At first, I gave her the benefit of the doubt because it was busy, until I watched her actively cater to surrounding tables, bringing them water, appetizers, and checking in repeatedly. It became impossible not to notice the pattern. Another server eventually came by and brought our drinks, which was appreciated, but after that, no one returned to our table. No offers for additional appetizers, no refills, no check-ins, NOTHING. Meanwhile, every table around us was being attended to consistently. By that point, I was so frustrated that I could no longer enjoy the meal. I wanted to take the food to go, but even that required me to walk to the counter to speak with the manager. After explaining everything, all I received was a brief apology. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Service like this makes it impossible to enjoy. I don't believe I can return after this, which is a shame given how long l've supported this place. I also feel it's important to note that I am African American and I feel as though that may have played a role in the way I was treated, I would like to not believe so, however it's something that needs to be highlighted not ignored.

Food is good and a very busy place. But Vegetarians should not go there. Servers have difficulty communicating. Very friendly place.

BCD Tofu House-first time visit. The food was tasty pipping hot, the Kireab tea was good. The food pricing is about $2.00 - $3.00 more expensive than Gaya Korean Tofu & Grill, Torrance Blvd. Besides, the hot pots for food is much smsller than Gaya, that means, less food.

Original tofu soup was delicious. The service was friendly and quick. The place was full of people, but wait time was less than 10 minutes. Would come back to this location again.

I have been a regular at this BCD for the past 5 years. I order via door dash & phone, have seen the ebs and flows before and after Covid. Nowadays this location seems to really skimp on their galbi & sometimes the seasoning is a hit or miss. The pricing does not reflect the amount of food we receive, in my opinion, compared to other tofu soup spots like Gaya.

I really enjoyed my visit to BCD Tofu. We usually go to a local tofu house near our place but we were doing errands clear across town and needed a good lunch. I haven't been to a BCD for a few years so I was really looking forward to it. Admittedly, we've been trying their BCD-branded tofu soup found in Asian markets and although those are passable, nothing compares to the dramatic wow factor of enjoying tofu soup in a restaurant (especially one that specializes in it). We were greeted and seated immediately after we walked in and had a few minutes to look over the menu before our server took our order. I went with the "Assorted - Spicy" which included clams, shrimp and beef. It also came with the classic stone pot rice, a small fried fish and banchan (side dishes such as kimchi, salted spicy squid, spicy cucumbers, fishcake and dried salty/sweet anchovies? ) I can't get enough banchan and BCD offers a nice variety. My tofu soup tasted great with the banchan and also white rice and egg mixed in. I was so satisfied and full by the end. Service is pretty good, you may have to get their attention when it gets busy but they will get to you as fast as possible. The whole team/staff works well together and it shows! Lots of parking in their lots although they do share the space with a ton of other businesses in the same plaza. Thank you BCD for coming through!

Been going to different BCDs for years because they have been consistently good wherever they are located. I always enjoy the fried yellow corvina fish they give when ordering soondobu. I love to get the dumpling soondobu with the hottest spice level. Fair warning though, I gave my dumpling to my cousin who was visiting from Hawaii and her face turned red and she broke out in a sweat from just the dumplings without the soup because it was too spicy for her. The service is always fast and friendly.

A great soon du boo chain that's been pretty consistent since they've opened in Cerritos/Artesia. It's great that they're opened late as well. I do love that their kim chee is more fresh than fermented. I usually split a combo with my mom or husband Because it's a good amount of food. Service is also good. Such a home staple so happy they're doing will.

It's been years since we ate at BCD Tofu House in Torrance. I saw a yelp review and was craving something tasty for lunch. We recognized the restaurant after driving into their parking lot. We were seated quickly but it took a while for anyone to take our order. We ordered the spicy pork and kalbi combos off their lunch menu, which is good until 3 pm. With lunch, we had a choice of their tofu soups. I went with the dumpling soup and my husband ordered the one with beef. It was sizzling when brought to our table. We each also got a hot stone pot of rice. The portions were generous for lunch and we took the rest home for dinner. My husband enjoyed his spicy pork and I liked the kalbi. They were pretty busy on a weekday, but we were served pretty quickly once our orders were taken. I'll be back!

Sunny and Mr Lee were Amazing with helping with ordering . Since we are not familiar with the dishes they made suggestions. The raw crab spicy was Amazing ! Corvina fish was superb !! Amazing staff and very very clean ..

Food is mediocre. The service is poor, the 2 female servers were always rushing and making mistakes even though more than half the restaurant was empty and we only had 3 people and ordered 4 things. It's also extremely loud inside, even with only a few tables of people. On the upside, the parking lot is convenient and there was no wait at lunchtime on a weekend. I've been to their location in Ktown which is only a little bit better in my opinion, and the one in Fort Lee NJ, which is amazing. Granted, I have to wait around an hour for the location in NJ, but I don't understand how the service, food and ambience can be so strikingly different for a chain restaurant.

A solid experience at BCD tofu house. I stuck with my classic pork dumpling tofu soup with the galbi. The variety of side dishes were a delicious touch that added to the hospitality and welcoming warmth of the restaurant. The service was fast and cordial. Definitely hit the spot for classic Korean comfort meals!

This is my go to tofu soup place! Always a hit and always consistent. Clean, friendly, and yummy!

Not going to lie, I've always considered myself a sdb snob because I've been eating it since I can last remember when I had the autonomy to choose where I've wanted to eat when I started eating out. So I'll admit I used to snicker to myself when people would say bcd is their fav sdb place. But after today's visit here I've learned to appreciate bcd for its availability and its menu...kind of like Starbucks & McDonalds. I had 6 hours of time today to complete all of the housekeeping tasks for the house and I was able to completely them in 3 hours and have 3 hours to myself. My sister was going to eat here at bcd after running some errands in the area and I decided to join her. We both ordered the galbi + tofu combo and we both agreed the galbi was sooooo good. The tofu was actually a lot better than I remembered in the past. Looking forward to my next visit at bcd.

Great food and service. BCD never fails to hit the spot. Still one of the better tofu spots that I'd rank up there with jang su jang (formerly Cho dang). Love their marinated raw crab, seafood pancake and all their tofu soups. Service is fast and friendly. Parking can be hard during peak meal times and there may be a wait so arrive early!

Was looking forward to try this place as I heard it's great for groups. BCD is located at the end of Victory Center on the Yoshinoya or Del Taco side. It is in a large strip mall full of eateries. There were several parking spots available including some in the back. I arrived early to reserve a table for my friends and it actually was not busy yet and there were plenty of tables available for our group size. The wait staff made sure we had waters and utensils. Then other groups, individuals, and couples started coming in and they were getting quite busy. This place sure gets loud. It can be tricky to hear your friend sitting 2 chairs away at your table w/how the acoustics are here. Service was fine and a couple of wait staff served us. I don't go out to Korean food often as I have to be cautious of my certain food/spice allergies. I ordered a bulgogi plate w/the least amount of spice. It was tasty. This was almost a month ago so I honestly don't recall the sides that accompanied it. My friends enjoyed their variety of dishes. Not super memorable or remarkable but A-OK!

I love BCD Tofu House! Everything I've ever eaten there never fails to make my taste buds super happy. It gets really crowded some days, but when I'm craving this, I would definitely gladly wait. Parking is also a little harder.. but if you don't mind a quick walk.. driving more into the plaza provides more spaces. Anyway, can't wait for my next trip over! I've been needing much of BCD Tofu House in my life lately!

Shocking how busy this place is! They have really great banchans and tofu here! The gluten safe side dishes include the kimchi, bean sprouts and all the tofus. The fried fish, cucumber kimchi, and tofu skin are not gluten free. I wish they offered sea weed, too! The service is quite fast even when they are busy. A good spot if you're itching for good Korean food!

Food was absolutely amazing DO NOT skip on the kimchi it's always fresh. Definitely recommend the short ribs they are tender every single time. The waiters are super friendly and helpful.

I've eaten here once a long time ago so I'm glad that it tastes just as good as before. I thoroughly enjoyed my spicy Seafood Soon Tofu which had two shrimps, several clams, and one mussel. Lots of flavor and perfect with the various sides and piping hot rice. My company ordered the Dumpling Soon Tofu and a side of Beef Galbi which had great flavor. Service was very attentive and welcoming.

Our family has been a regular at this place for over 10 years, and enjoyed their tripe soondubu, their banchan is a tasty variety and the change every few weeks is a welcome surprise. Over the past months, the manager seemed to always be at the establishment and helping out whenever he could. He regularly supported the staff and even went around to check each table for banchan refills or any requests, elevating the speedy service and adding a homely touch. Due to my mom's chemotherapy, she had a greater sensitivity & adverse reactions to some foods. Thankfully, soondubu was not one of them and their quality was always consistent, so we came looking forward to a night without stress and left with a full stomach. However recently, as business started to become better, it seems as though the staff has become more discriminating against those with health issues. Recently, my mom lost her hair, so it's been difficult to find a place she was comfortable with eating out. My family and I came today and were looking forward to eating here, but were met with an entirely different experience. As regulars, we knew what we wanted to eat and waited to order, as it was understandably busy during lunchtime. However, normally the staff serves banchan after ordering. I tried to ask for assistance to the few staff that were standing, especially as we were seated right next to the cashier and were close enough to reach the banchan set at the front, but after numerous times of raising my hand and asking for assistance, it seemed as though they deliberately ignored our requests and did not bother to acknowledge us. At this point, we had been waiting for 30 minutes after being seated and was honestly humiliated, and after speaking with the manager who did not seem to care in the slightest, we left the establishment. As a long time regular, I am very disappointed and will no longer be supporting the establishment with their lack of integrity and professionalism, and had I known this earlier we would have never came in the first place.

This was my first time at this BCD location, and I had an overall wonderful dinner here. The galbi combo comes with a small tofu soup, and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 people who are semi-hungry. The banchan (side dishes) are refillable and simple yet full of flavor. They accompany the galbi and tofu soup so well, and taste just as delicious with a bowl of rice. Would highly recommend anyone to come here for delicious Korean food!!

Where to begin!! We've been coming to BCD Torrance for years now. The service is wonderful, food is out of this world and you can't beat the speed it comes out. We love the friendly staff here, shout out to Sunny who is an ABSOLUTE ROCKSTAR!! I recommend the C1 combo with the tofu soup! You won't regret it!

Favorite place..Combo 1 with Dumpling Soup for me. Combo 1 with Kimchee Soup for the asawa. Mama Shonedogg. Loves the Lil fish. Good food and Jenny was our 1st server we met there.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the lady who helped me was incredibly kind. I was having lunch alone, but the staff frequently checked in to make sure everything was perfect, which made me feel very welcomed and cared for. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. 10/10 would recommend--this is officially my go-to BCD!

Returned after last year's visit, and this time around it was far better experience, notwithstanding the last visit was great, too. Glad to be there after lunchtime, so it was not crowded. Their complimentary banchan dishes were still unbearable. Of course, their rice and tofu soups were unforgettably delicious.

Atmosphere - Clean, lots of seating. Food / Taste - Ordered the combination meals with tofu soup. We got the Galbi, bulgogi and teriyaki chicken. We also ordered the mild seafood and dumplings tofu soups. Japchae and mandoo were authentic. Meats were tender and flavorful. Tofu soups were very tasty and remained hot. The banchan (kimchi, cucumber, fish cake, seaweed salad, Tako) was delicious. Customer Service - Excellent service! Many of our friends raved about CBD tofu for the longest time and we finally decided to give it a try while looking for a place for lunch in a cool fall Saturday morning. Located in the eastern end of Torrance, it is a standalone building with plenty of parking spaces. The servers were very nice and we got seated right away. The menu is shown on the paper placemat on each seating and it was very easy to understand. All orders come with small complementary side dishes plus their signature salted small fried fish. I ordered non-spicy seafood tofu. It was ready in about 15 minutes and the bowl was boiling hot which is perfect to cook the complementary raw egg. The tofu had a very nice texture (firm but smooth) and the seafood were fresh. The soup broth was on the light side but not bland. The rice was served in a stone pot which kept it warm throughout the meal (one suggestion, the slightly burnt part of the rice at the bottom of the pot can be added to your soup, it is quite unique and tasty). The complementary side dishes were great, kimchi was well seasoned and not overly spicy, the small fish was tasty, but my personal favorite was potato salad (yes, potato salad!) Overall, a great meal and for sure we will stop by again soon.

The food is delicious! I typically get the spicy kimchi beef soup but I've also tried some of their combo entrees too and everything has just been amazing! Super flavorful and the side dishes are also good!! Best kimchi I've had. The service is just as great! Everyone is sweet and welcoming and very attentive. As for the place itself, there's plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean and the vibes are friendly! Definitely recommend especially on a cold or rainy day for their tofu soup!

We ordered the bbq short rib and tofu. The tofu was fulfilling, short ribs were delicious and side dishes were excellent. The server was very attentive, friendly and has excellent customer service. This is our new korean spot. I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

BCD never lets me down. I was there for a family occasion and had the marinated crab. It was delicious. Our server Julia went above and beyond to take extra good care of us and brought extra banchan. Thanks to Julia and the rest of the team.

Food was amazing. Service was fast. My friends and I were there with a litter of kids and they were so kind. A gentleman gave our kids a lollipop. We appreciate the patience with so many loud kids. Kay was so sweet. She and other servers made sure we had what we needed. Great service. Definitely recommend!
