Such a cute coffee spot! I instantly loved both the exterior and interior—the place has so much charm and character. It’s the kind of spot that just feels good to be in. The cozy vibe paired with the friendly and welcoming staff made the experience even better. Everyone was super kind and helpful, which made my visit feel extra special. I ordered the Ultralight Bean, a caramel latte with cold foam, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just smooth and satisfying. I was super impressed with the quality and care put into the drink. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their coffee and tea options. This place is definitely a new favorite! One of my favorite finding in Melrose and have seen myself coming back multiple times despite plenty other options around the area. It's also uncountable how many times I've recommended it to others. The location's strategic being at the heart of the city, though it may mean parking can sometimes be tricky. For those with lil' kids, they do provide a nice play room so you can enjoy a bit of chillin time over great cup of joe. I do love the contemporary atmosphere it features with the artsy paintings and posters around the walls. The baristas are all very helpful in assisting you to pick your order and even accommodate customization requests. On my initial visit, I went for their signature Vivid Cream Latte, which was their version of brown sugar latte with cream top and cocoa powder. The drink that made me fell in love with this place on first try, served just at right sweetness with great brown sugar taste that nicely didn't overpower the bold coffee flavor. The cream top also came as perfect balance to the cup, which sometimes atypical one ended up diluting the coffee. On my other visits when I wasn't really feeling like having cream top coffee, I would go for their hot brown sugar latte introduced by the barista as I wanted brown sugar in my coffee but not the cream. I ended up easily being its loyalist!

Saw this place recommended on Eater. Came in when i saw Frank La won the 2024 US Barista Championship. Tried the Vivid Cream Latte and on first sip was highly impressed with flavor. Worked in the shop for awhile. Good vibes on the interior with a small play area for kids and modern music (at an appropriate level)

Stopped by here on my way to Beverly hills first thing in the morning. It's a state of the art operation in terms of the coffee options. The pastries are from the place that does the ham and cheese croissant with a Corichon speared with a toothpick with a little loop at the end, you see them everywhere. It was deserted Monday morning at 8 am which was nice for me. My cappuccino was very good, would return! Fun art on the walls and some sort of children's (?!?) area.

I come here all the time to try the new seasonal drinks. This time I was very disappointed. I asked for the strawberry cheesecake drink and it tasted not very good especially for 7.5 dollars it's def not worth it. Usually they are very generous with their foam topping but for this drink I watched the gentleman pour barely any of it on top then sprinkled the topping. I thought the first sip will taste great especially with the foam but Maybe since there was barely anything it hit me with this bitter and gross taste. I've had plain lattes from this place without flavoring and I know the coffee is good but this drink is not it. After some agressive shaking I was able to mix it with the strawberry milk to the point where it is somewhat drinkable. I'll just stick to what I know from now on and not try new things here. It's just hard to be this disappointed when u pay basically 8 dollars for a coffee drink.

I stopped here 30 minutes before my call time on set the other day. I needed a relaxing and tranquil place to think about the day ahead and stock up on Coffee because I know Production wasn’t going to provide it. I accomplished all these things and the staff was lovely.

Be Bright Coffee is one of my favorite cafes on Melrose. It is has of the best quality of coffee, has a lot to offer to the community on Melrose and it is also Asian owned. Quality of coffee, the equipment and of course the staff look all friendly. I go in there and I’m never disappointed in any new drink I try which I love. The pastries are delicious to match with the drinks and the set up is cute and family friendly. This is their main location but they also do pop ups at the smorgasbord in downtown Los Angeles as well.

Cute spot, good vibes, nice staff. The standouts for me here were the corn latte which was excellent and the fact that there is an enclosure for kids haha. Not only did they enjoy it but they could be a little loud and nobody really can tell 😁

Parking was street parking only, but that's to be expected near the city. The coffee shop was small but it had a cute little charm to it and we loved it! There were plenty of seats. They also had a little area with toys for kids to play in. The service was great, very friendly. We ordered the toasted island latte, the vivid cream latte, and a cinnamon bun. The cinnamon bun would have been better if it was warmed up but overall had great flavor and yummy icing! The toasted island latte was DELICIOUS. Its creaminess and the texture with the toasted coconut flakes took it to another level! The vivid cream latte was adorable with the little design they put on the top. We loved that you could taste the brown sugar which added a whole different flavor to it! Overall this coffee shop was really good! Definitely would come back if we were in the area!

This is my favorite coffee shop in all of California. I live in San Luis Obispo and always make a point to come here and order a coffee for the morning and a second one to take home (with no ice). It's also not unusually for us to completely go out of our way during our visits to come here. Their Toasted Coconut is out of this world and my personal favorite. They also have an awesome seasonal menu when we go. They had a great black sesame latte in fall and this winter their Eggnog Latte was outstanding. If you need a pastry they have a great selection of both sweet and savory. Staff is always nice and there's metered parking available. Melrose is always crazy but I rarely have issues with parking. Definitely check this spot out if you're a true coffee lover!

I've been following Be Bright Coffee on instagram for a while and finally had the pleasure to try one of their lattes. My initial thoughts on this cute coffee shop is that it would be a great place to work with plenty of seating and they have wifi. They also have a cute kids corner if you want to entertain your children while sipping on good coffee. The staff were really friendly and made the drinks super fast. I got their limited time tiramisu latte and it was just as good as I hoped. It was creamy and tasted like tiramisu which was amazing. I wish it was a drink that lasted year round but I'm excited to try some signature drinks next time I visit.

Ironically, I went to Be Bright Coffee for the tea instead of the coffee, but really enjoyed the tea nonetheless. I love the interior because the light comes in and the inside is very bright (no pun intended). There is street parking in front of the store and the street parking is free on holidays. It can be crowded on the weekends, but that is LA. The service really nice and the owners very personable. I was really impressed by the way the tea was served and the flavor of the honey orchid tea. I would come back to try some of the other items if I ever I'm in the area again.

10/10 stars! Server in the pic was so nice and greeted everyone that came in. Such wholesome, positive vibes. Prices are very reasonable! Got my iced latte with cold foam and it was perfect. Will definitely be coming back

Staff is helpful and prepares your order quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Nice place to bring your kids as they have a small play area. Staff mentioned they sell out of their top pastries around 9am. Toasted Island Latte- 9/10 Smooth coffee flavor. Great option to try if you've already had their Vivid Cream. Coconut topping was burnt and hard.

Coffee is great, the staff is kind. The random built-in kid's play place ruins the vibe for sure. Not sure why a coffee shop needs a play place for children, but don't expect to be getting any work done here when it's in-use.

I read up about some good things about Be Bright Coffee. Owner and barista is 2024 US barista of the year. This guy has some street cred. Came here on a whim since I was in the neighborhood. I wanted to try some thing different so I tried their specialty drink, sweet corn latte einspanner. The grandmaster himself prepared this signature drink. Honestly, it didn't look well executed like most einspanners / cream top drinks. A bit sloppy. The drink itself was just okay and served half with ice. The sweet corn cream had little sweet corn cream flavor. Like, I mentioned, the drink wasn't executed well with uneven sweet cream layer and not enough for the sweet corn flavor to come out. I was a bit disappointed both and flavor and this premium drink served halfway full of ice. I'd like give this place an other chance some time soon and try something different. Likely an off day.

Very nice coffee shop on Fairfax avenue. The interior was very clean with a play area for children. The service was very quick, I received my coffee and pastries very quickly. The pasties were made with quality ingredients and complimented the coffee well.

Be Bright Coffee is a corner coffee shop in Melrose avenue in LA. It's spacious and has plenty of natural light, tables and a small child's room. They sell merch and coffee bags. Menu items have modest selection of teas and coffees that can be made cold. I came to grab a drip coffee. It was okay. Service was on point. Atmosphere was chill. Prices were fair. Plenty of street parking. Overall, it's a nice coffee shop.

Super cute ambiance, parking was slightly hard to find given that its melrose but not the worst since we went p early in the morn. Seating was easy, around 10 small tables, cute lil area for children to play in LOL. The space is p narrow but the aesthetic is r nice, I love the posters they have up on the walls. Most importantly, their drinks are delicious WOWOWOW and their service is impeccable, place smells like fresh pastries and the staff are super friendly and easy to get along with. Personally, this was a great yap sesh I had with my friend Paige, and we stayed for a good couple of hours comfortably. Def def recommend for those in the area! Saw other people studying too so I'm sure its doable : D

Possibly the best americano I've had to date! Strong WiFi, bright space--good for studying and working. The kids area is unique and sweet. Overall cozy and quaint. I do recommend bringing headphones because it gets a bit noisy during the rush.

I came here yesterday with a big group of friends and was not expecting to like my coffee as much as I did. I got the Ultralight Bean, but I had initially asked the barista to make it 50% sweet. She told me to try the coffee with no tweaks because it was already "not as sweet" so I listened. Absolutely AMAZING. It wasn't too sweet, nor was it bitter---it was just right. Coffee itself tastes good and wasn't watered-down. Ambience was alright, like a 7/10. Will be back again!

Their hot drinks are great but the cold ones are where they really shine. The iced coffees all have this incredibly smooth, luscious mouth feel that i truly cannot get enough of. LA's best coffee, i think. Decent place to work from, just started serving sandwiches.

Be Bright has got to be one of my favorite coffee spots to go to in LA. My love for them all started when I spotted them at Smorgasbord market fell in love with their AAPI menu. And then fell in love more with all the seasonal drinks. It's a perfect blend of coffee, sweetness, and creaminess from the foam. On top of that, every time I go to the store, the entire team is super friendly and overall chill vibes. Most recently, I tried the Black Sesame latte and it was out of this world! The slight crunch of the sesame every time you take a sip, words cannot describe my happiness.

Tried the Einspanner which was good (the cream is not too sweet). Price is reasonable compared to other LA cafes. They also have ample indoor seating. Location is on a busy area on Melrose which makes parking a bit tricky.

Before I get into anything else, I must start by saying, if you are looking for the best grilled cheese sandwich to ever exist, then look no further. Be Bright Coffee is where you need to go! I am not a coffee drinker, so apologies if you were looking for a review on the coffee as I cannot provide that. I can however provide you with an honest review of the great service, the chill vibe of this place, and the absolute deliciousness of the food they serve. Located in Melrose, this coffee shop brings in some bright vibes the moment you enter. It's very modern and vibrant. The staff is kind and caring, they took our order with smiles and asked us about our day. We ordered an avocado toast and a gochujang grilled cheese. It took about 15ish minutes for our food to come out, which felt like a little while because we were so hungry. But 100% worth the wait! I'll start off with the avocado toast: the avocado was whipped with I believe some sort of cheese, had a salty seasoning, and some greens on top. It was a bit too salty, but still light, airy, and refreshing. The gochujang grilled cheese: hands down the best grilled cheese my taste buds have ever encountered. The cheese was melted all the way through, there were caramelized onions in every bite, and the gochujang didn't make it too spicy, instead it balanced all of the flavors in a way I didn't know existed. I would have taken a star away for the avocado toast, since it truly was too salty. However, the owner came by and asked us for honest feedback on how the food was. It was only their second day of serving food and apparently the day before they had been told the avocado toast wasn't salty enough. You could tell he genuinely appreciated our feedback and would improve the recipe for those to come after us. All in all, Be Bright Coffee was a wonderful find and I would highly recommend trying out their food menu because they understand flavors at an elevated level.

Tried 2 drinks from the AAPI menu, both blew our mind. Great coffee, perfect sweetness and balanced flavor. The staff was very nice. I was overwhelmed by the options but they introduced and explained their menu with patience. Spacious and lots of ppl working/studying there. Would definitely recommend.

I love Be Bright Coffee! The coffee is delicious and the cold foam is even better :D service is great and always a light, happy atmosphere. Not very big but there's a children's corner with some games and 5 or so two person tables.

Friday around 4:05 pm my GF really needed to use the restroom; but we couldn't find one around. We noticed this cute little coffee shop and went inside. The inside was simple yet beautiful. We ordered a drink so that we could use the restroom. The tea we got ended up being really good too. Really just want to thank you guys for helping us out with a drink & a restroom in a time of need! You guys were already closed & still helped us; that's just amazing!

You must try the Vivid Coffee, so good. Coffee was so fresh, so full of flavor. This is my personal favorite. My wife enjoyed the sweet corn coffee. Both are iced. Staff was very nice. Very little wait Either way you can't go wrong, if you prefer more flavor, with sweet at the end then try the vivid.

I go here all the time at first because I just love their drinks. I first tried them at Smorgasburg and fell in love so when they opened up the Brick & Mortar I was thrilled. The staff is so amazing and friendly and make each drink with such care. The cafe is really cute and calm, with a little kids area. I get the Einspanner but everything they make is delicious

I loved this beautiful and bright coffee shop on Melrose. The island latte is delicious and we sat and had a brownie cookie. It's comfortable on a warm day and the barista actually remembered my name on the way out and thanked me for stopping by. Service was excellent. People there seemed content studying. There is a large menu of drinks and a cute children's play area too.

Such a cute little coffee shop on Melrose! I stopped by prior to going to the melrose trading post to get some caffeine in me and this place was the cutest! The ambiance definitely feels artsy and a little bit hipster. The coffee has a nice flavor to it and the staff were super nice. I will say parking is a bit difficult, but you can't really find any place with good parking in LA. Overall: 8.5/10 Drink: 8/10 Ambiance: 9/10

This is a coffee place for people that take it seriously. I don't like their darker roasts but their specialties especially on the weekends are great. The baristas definitely know their stuff and are a step above your average hipster baristas.

A friend recommended this location for their matcha. I ordered the ceremonial matcha (a higher quality matcha) with their soft cream on top. It tasted very milky & I barely tasted the matcha to be honest, yet for some reason I still really enjoyed sipping on my drink‍ I would recommend you not to get the soft top. The worker was super sweet so I appreciate the service.

It was love at first SIP ... lol I have only had their Ultralight beam coffee and I can confidently say anyone who tries it will love it. I have shared my obsession of this drink with friends and family and they all have enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and great at making an excellent coffee.

Loved the pumpkin pie latte and apple pie Danish. Such an eclectic space with plants and animal pics (loved the squid ink pasta-eating giraffe). Congrats on the barista championship!

Discovered this place by accident today. We stopped by our favorite place on Melrose La Chouquette for a baguette and some savory pastries. Unfortunately they had already sold out of the pastries I love. So, we grabbed a baguette and headed to the car. I notice Be Bright Coffee across the street. We decided to check them out. Very cute bright and cheerful place. Great seating area, even a cute play area for kids. We were on the hunt for savory pastries. Took a look in their case and there were a 1/2 dozen savory options. Yes, an actual 1/2 dozen options. Bacon Cheddar Biscuit It was almost like a scone. Packed with flavor, flaky and delicious. I've attached a picture for you to look at. If you bacon and cheddar as a combo you should try this pastry. Definitely a 5 star choice. Kimchi and Spam Pastry This was a flaky croissant filled with kimchi and spam. They served it warm. It was delicious. My partner was in spam heaven. Again, I attached a picture for your perusal. Also highly recommend this savory option. This was a great find today. We will absolutely return for more. They have a spinach pastry that intrigued me.

I first tried be bright coffee at smorgasbord where they informed me they're opening a brick and mortar shop. Luckily it was only 10 min from me. The shop is super cute and the service was great! There street parking by the front so it wasn't too difficult to park. I've had their vivid cream coffee which is my absolute favorite but I wanted something less sweet so I went with their iced coffee and their hazelnut croissant which was probably the best chocolate croissant I've ever had. Literally think about it all the time. My friend who makes her coffee at home purchased a few bags of their coffee beans.

The most delicious coffee I've ever had!! Truly the most meticulously made drink and such high quality! I wish so badly there was one closer to home but I will make the 25 minute trek to this spot any day!

Be Bright is the BEST. Espresso is always smooth and the ingredients are high quality. I love how unique their seasonal lattes are too; I'm surprised with a new recipe almost every time I go. I love their location at Smorgasburg since it's closer to me (worth the wait even if the line is long), but will drive to the Melrose location on non-Sundays when I'm craving it. Love supporting AAPI owned too (the couple who owns Be Bright is so nice). Def recommend!

Online customer service is so bad that it doesn't exist. After my order being over a week late with no status update I reached out to check on it. After no response, I then reached out 3 other times across 3 different platforms over the next 2 weeks (contact us, business email, instagram x2), and have yet to get a response from anyone, it's now been almost a month. After all this the coffee they shipped me isn't even the coffee I ordered because they ran out of what I ordered, I'm assuming because they shipped it a week late... but I don't know, because they won't respond. P.S. your read receipts are on, so people can see when you read the message and don't respond on instagram.

Fantastic coffee, a true gem hidden in the bustling city of Los Angeles. It would be a mistake not to come here. Especially after learning that the barista and owner is the 2024 United States Barista Champion. Super kind people and incredible hospitality.

I've been here a few times and have consistently had good experiences. The cold brew yuzu lemonade and pandan ube latte from the AAPI month menu were both amazing. I also had a spam kimchi croissant that was fantastic. The staff is friendly and one barista offered to modify the cold brew to meet my preference for more cold brew, less lemonade. It's a cute shop and seems like it'd be a good place to study, with lots of seating and free wifi.

Personally thought all the beverages here with average. Ordered 2 seasonal drinks and their specialty cream top drink with brown sugar. The Cream Top drink with brown sugar was definitely our least favorite. I like sweet things but this was just toooo sweet to even be coffee anymore. The Black Sesame drink is made with Black Sesame Butter which has peanut (FYI for all my peanut allergic girlies). I'm lucky that I only got a slight reaction but tbh I should've looked up what that ingredient was, so that was on me. But overall, that one was my favorite drink ironically. The Pumpkin Cold Brew tasted watered down IMO. Thought the cold brew or the pumpkin flavor would stand out a bit more.

Incredibly friendly staff. Single origin cold brew is kind of magical. Had a kimchi spam croissant that was delicious. Beans for sale at a very good price that brew up great at home. Interior is nice and pretty spacious.

Loved the vibe here in the Melrose area, spent the afternoon here and loved the Vivid Cream Latte! Amazing service from Matt and the team and also loved the fact that they have a small play area for young kids, what a amazing idea! If you're in the area be sure to stop by, you won't be disappointed!
