My family (two parents & two teenagers) had a wonderful stay in the top floor penthouse apartment at Casa Di Bava. The location is excellent, convenient to a lot of sights, and the hotel itself is lovely, with contemporary interiors in a beautiful old building. The penthouse was very clean and comfortable - we enjoyed breakfast each morning on the gorgeous terrace overlooking scenic Istanbul. After traveling elsewhere in Turkey, we were happy to use the washer in the apartment. We arrived at night and the instructions for check in were clear and easy. We communicated easily and seamlessly with the staff - Tammam was very helpful throughout the stay. The apartment was also surprisingly quiet, which we appreciated because the neighborhood is lively on weekend evenings. We felt that the apartment was a good value for what was included. Highly recommended and we will stay here again when we have to chance to return to lovely Istanbul!

We found this place when we walked by on our way to Galata tower. we just entered the name Be mate in google map. What a good luck! We stayed 2 night already at Taksim square, but there was too shabby and much longer walking way to the main Street and Galata tower. We moved to the Clarion golden horn hotel due to its low price for being a 5 star hotel but unfortunately the food there was disappointing and very inconveniently located. This apartment is super central, an ideal place for in-and-out any time you need to. This apartment is located in the best point of the European side of Istanbul, 300 meters walking to the main shopping and dining street, and 600 meters to Metro T1. It is accessible to all big and small places the city can offer. 900 meter walking to Galata tower. The room is spacious with a 3 meter high ceiling, a practical kitchenette and 2 set of big wardrobes. The best is the balcony where we seat and feel the lively vibe of the city life. All in all a superb place for city life and convenience.

I stayed at Be Mate Casa Di Bava for nearly 2 weeks, and….. what can I say??? At this point the staff working here feel like family to me due to their unlimited amount of kindness and hospitality and because of how much they helped me with anything and everything I needed throughout my stay. I had some issues with WiFi connection in the unit where I was staying, and they were super accommodating and thought of a solution for me instantly. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Even a washer to wash your clothes while you stay there. A mini stove, fridge, dishwasher, dishes, wine glasses, cups, a pot and a pan, iron, …. Honestly, anything you’d need. The only thing I’d point out is that the nights (mostly weekends) the outside noise can get a bit too loud, but you’d only hear it if you’re sitting in the living room, and not in the bedroom. If anything, it made us want to be outside having more fun when hearing all the music and sounds lol. The building is VERY central and close to some of the best cafes and restaurants as well as shops. Also super close all the popular spots in the area. 1000% recommend.

I really loved this little hotel. The apartment had a gorgeous balcony with an amazing view of the Galata Tower. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroom was nicely organized.It was a little tricky to get our stroller up the stairs, but that was the only small issue. Everything else was perfect. Next time we are in Istanbul, this will definitely be my choice.

The location is perfect, the rooms are super clean, and most importantly there is an Arab employee called Tammam he super supportive, friendly, and he is one of the reasons that would make us want to come back again and again

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Istanbul! The apartment was big and clean, it’s newly renovated and the location is perfect. Internet was fast and the bed was really comfortable. There is an elevator inside the building so it’s easy to move with a suitcase. Tammam was friendly and offered an upgraded room and allowed an early check in. Highly recommend!

10/10 stay in Istanbul. Wow, at first I was a little worried because the outside looks a little bit sketchy but honestly, this place is so cute, charming the staff is so friendly and helpful. it’s so clean and it is in the most convenient location in between everything that you need. Thank you tamamm for all your hospitality!

Casa di Bava Review ||Casa di Bava was recommended by a colleague who stayed last year.  We booked 4 nights in the smallest apartment - No. 2 - which had windows to the street and was fine for a few nights for just 2 people.  Only downside for me was lack of space in the bedroom for a second bedside table.  Loved Istanbul so much and the Beyoglu area in particular that we extended for 3 nights in the larger apartment No. 8 on level 3 - fabulous, spacious, balcony, separate kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, huge fridge and very effective oven/microwave/grill.  The street is lively and fascinating to watch, esp in the evenings, but the double glazing ensures a good night's sleep.  The beds were both very comfortable, nice cotton sheets and all in all a very comfortable stay.  The manager, Tamam, has excellent english and was super helpful and accommodating.  The location couldn't have been better, we were spoilt for places to eat - all reasonably priced.  Some favourites were Norre - two doors down, TomTom Kebap and Ozan Borek around the corner, Zerze, a little further but home made beautiful food, and Vegan Istanbul, two streets away.  We would 100% book Casa di Bava again!!
