The Ultimate Guide to America's National Parks

"If you’ve ever wanted to step into a storybook scene this is it. Skeleton trees littered the beach with the occasional, mammoth driftwood taller than an average person. Rocks the colors of gemstones shine in the waters and sing with each lapping wave. Because hiking to the beach is the only way to reach it, this sandy sliver of Olympic National Park feels more secret and secluded than many of the others. There’s even a tide pool for the very adventurous in near the north end of this wonderland where starfish, sponges, small sea creatures, and other swimming oddities await you. Waves swirl across the shore, etching abstract, ephemeral patterns into the sand. Wisps of clouds cling to the scraggly trees crowning sea stacks battered by frothy waves. As the sun dips below the horizon, its beams shine through an arch in the distant rocks, making it look as through a glowing ball of flames will come bursting through the gap. During the rare times when the tide is exceptionally low, it’s possible to walk out to the closest sea stacks. The walk to the beach is equally enchanting. You’ll follow a trail of Olympic National Park’s signature lush, leafy greenery. It feels as though the dense forest could ensnare you in its verdant grip and swallow you at any second." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Short easy walk to the beach. A few roots or logs to cross at the beach entrance.

Cool place to watch the sunrise, hunt for agates, watch a sunset, or get completely creeped out by the weird trees in the dark. Tons of agates and quartz/jasper geodes.

Best time I've had in a while. It was not crowded at all and the sun came out for a while making it even better😍. My kiddos had a great time and before we settled down for a few hours on the beach we stopped to see the Tree of Life just down the street.

This trail to Beach 2 was AMAZING, a cute little trail right off the road. Parking was easy and the beach was really clean, clear, and not many people were there! Definitely recommend if you’re around!

We love this spot - great to see all of the burls on the trees. Other worldly.

Beautiful views! After visiting 5-6 beaches in one day, I will say, it wasn't the top one in my list, but still beautiful! This one had some unique trees that made the walk down to the beach extra cool!

Amazing view, short walk to the Pacific Ocean. We stopped on our way to Olympic National Park. Several beaches along this route. Great opportunity to stop and stretch as well as enjoy the view and get some pictures!
