This is a gem hiding in plain sight. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxed. We felt right at home. The food was incredibly delicious. We got the rendang and the chilli mud crab, both had very bold and authentic flavours. When we think of good food in Palm Cove, we think of here. We will definitely be back!

Love this place everytime we go to palm cove we go here. We always get the fried whole fish it’s honestly INCREDIBLE, we often get the sticky pork as well and share it all. We are always blown away as the fish the best around. The ginger sauce is so good. Service so friendly

Delicious! I haven’t been here for years and it did not disappoint. I was surprised that it was so quiet to be honest. Lovely service, we had the pork belly and betel leaf, sticky pork ribs and a fragrant flavourful barramundi with coconut curry (not too spicy and can tailor the heat with accompaniments), absolutely divine kaffir lime Creme brûlée. The team accommodated tricky allergies (which is unheard of in Asian fusion restaurants!!). So so glad our last meal in Palm Cove was here, was so so good!

Disappointing and overpriced We picked this restaurant based on its great Google reviews, but the reality was far from what we expected. The atmosphere is tired and somewhat shabby, lacking any real charm. For the price point, you’d expect both the setting and the food to reflect a certain level of care and quality but that simply wasn’t the case. I had the crispy whole fish, which unfortunately tasted like old frying oil unpleasant and heavy. The prawns dish came with just four prawns, and the sauce tasted unmistakably like canned tomato, with no depth or freshness. Even the basics were off: the wine glasses were dirty, and so were the plates. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when the tableware doesn’t feel clean. The service was okay friendly enough but nothing that could justify the prices we paid. This isn’t about not wanting to spend money; I’m happy to pay for quality. But here, it felt more like being taken advantage of than treating yourself to a nice meal. Overall, a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t go back, and I wouldn’t recommend

After reading all the reviews I guess my expectations were high...but the restaurant unfortunately disappointed us. Good was just ok, nothing special. It sounded much better and more interesting on the menu, than it actually tasted. Most disappointing dish was Prawn and crab meat spring rolls: they were totally tasless and flavourless. Chilli prawns Singapore style were good and eggnet seafood salad was not bad , but all dishes severely overpriced. For 1 entree, 1 main and 1 salad plus bottle of wine we paid $170 I would expect the price in a standard Asian restaurant be around $100-120

The food and service was amazing. We had the set course and all the seafood was so fresh. The whole barramundi was delicious and I highly recommend this dish.

No wonder the restaurant was empty…. We read several reviews and thought we would try this place for dinner. Doesn’t even really deserve 1 star. We ordered the ‘flatbread’, it was a wrap from Cole’s, grilled, cut in triangles. What a rip off. The pork ribs were deep fried, so they were greasy. The crispy fish, was covered in a thick batter and fried and it was so overcooked and greasy my husband couldn’t eat it. It was also served with rice, without a sauce? Dried fish and rice. L The beef rendang, was 8 chunks of beef, again fried, served on a tasteless sauce. Served with a tiny mound of rice. For $46. Absolute rip off, When we went to pay, the poor waiter guy had to wait for the ‘manager’ to be able to process our bill and was noticeably uncomfortable about the whole thing. When the manager asked how our food was, we told her we weren’t impressed and she laughed, followed by ‘thanks very much’… Avoid like the plague. The male waiter was lovely and attentive though, poor guy, must be very embarrassed everytime he has to ask how the food is.

After reading many raving reviews we were very excited to go. However...it was nowhere near as great as we were hoping for. Certainly not for the prices .. it should be priced as any othet standard thai restaurant, in our view its hugely overpriced. Spring rolls for $23 very absolutely nothing special 4 x Singapore prawns for $54 were also nothing to die for. Good ,but not for that price. I think we won't come back

Yelp
Found this place highly rated on Trip Advisor (which honestly, doesn't really offer that great of places - I almost always turn to Yelp instead) and decided to give it a try! It was very good and the owner/chef even came out to talk to us a bit about the food and his inspiration for it. The corn cakes appetizer was amazing! I highly recommend. For our main, I got the banana leaf barramundi and my fiance got the tiger prawns. Both of which were very flavorful. I maybe would have wanted some more coconut flavor out of the rice and maybe a little more uniqueness out of the side salad. Something to really bring the dish together more. Another appetizer we got were the spring rolls, which could use some more flavor/crunch to them. Other than that though, you could really taste the flavors in the meat/fish that he was trying to bring forward. This place was just what we were looking for. Somewhat of an Australian Fusion restaurant and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Ambience 5 stars Service. 5 stars Food. 5 stars We dined here two nights in a row. Fortunately one of the few good restaurants open this time if year (the low season) but the bomb in Palm Cove. Try the whole fried fish with Vietnamese sauce. And for starters the salt and pepper Squid delicious.

Yelp
This place was/is ranked number one restaurant in Palm Cove when we were here. It deserves it. The food is simply outstanding. We started our meal with an order of the mussels. They were yummy and the largest mussels I have ever seen. The portion was quite small though. They were served more like oysters on the half shell rather than the large pots of them we are used to in the States. For our meal my husband had the Banana leaf barramundi with sweet chili & galangal dipping sauces. This was really good with sweet tender fish that melted in your mouth. I had the Black pepper prawns char grilled with black pepper sauce, salad and jasmine rice. I can not tell you how good this was. I would go back time and time again for this dish!

Yelp
Great Asian-Seafood, however extremely expensive for very small portions. The kids food menu is very limited and extremely expensive. Kids Fish and chips for $16 is a rip off.

Yelp
The atmosphere, food, and staff was amazing. The owner himself came over to chat. My husband had the Bali barramundi and I had the Bali prawns. Both were delicious! For dessert, we had the lime creme brûlée. I love to bake and critique desserts extra hard.. this one exceeded all expectations and more! We dug in immediately and I didn't get a photo until it was mostly gone! This place is a must if you are in town.

Yelp
First time reviewer. In town with extended family and wanted to go somewhere nice to say thanks. Read reviews and was really excited to explore the menu. Extremely disappointed with the experience. Staff were pleasent but service was slow. After waiting for waitress to take our drinks order for a good 45 minutes we ended up going to the bar ourselves and placing an order. The menu looked great. Once again let down when meals arrived. Crispy fish was soft and mushy, papaya salad was bulked up with rice and salad mix (wtf!). Most disappointed by the mud crab which we paid $100 as a real treat only to find that it was virtually empty with very little meat inside. Expressed concerns to staff who apologised but obviously cared very little. Gutted by the experience $500 later and very disappointed. On a positive note flavours were definitely there but less than authentic. After reading rave reviews I felt obliged to share our experience. Perhaps this was a one off? Unfortunately won't be a second time for us hopefully you guys can let us know.

Yelp
We shared the seafood platter, having been assured that it would be enough for two, and at the end left very hungry! The mud crab was so tasty, however, as was the banana leaf barramundi, that we didn't really mind. I have no idea what was in the sauce for the crab, perhaps lemongrass and chilli and other Asian spices, but it was just lovely! The service was great but I did wish we had a wee bit more food for the amount of money we paid.

Yelp
Nice location overlooking the beach. Good service. Menu was different to the usual affair, priced medium-high. Food was OK nothing special from my point of view but my partner really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a try for something a bit different.
