Beach Hotel, Bar & Restaurant Downings

What a super hotel to stay at. From the warm welcome on arrival and the friendly attention of all the staff this was a great experience overall. The rooms are superb as they have recently being undergoing refurbishment so not fully finished yet Hence the 4 stars on the room. They will merit 5 very soon. The convivial atmosphere and great Guinness with music and dancing in the bar added to a wonderful occasion. The meal we were served was of a very high standard. IN THE Centre of Downings with a great atmosphere and lovely family business. We had a lovely welcome from the owners. We checked into our rooms, lovely warm and comfortable, looking over the sea. Very comfortable bed's and spotless clesnThe food was excellent over our stay. Very quiet village. Great beach and walks. Cheers to all the staff. First class. We can't wait to return 🥃🍺🍷❤️❤️

Everything about this hotel was great. The view was amazing! The staff were so lovely and very friendly. The atmosphere was brilliant. Best of all, it was within walking distance from the beach. I also left some items behind and they packaged them up safely for me. ||My daughter loved staying here also, I would definitely recommend it for a family holiday. It seemed to be very popular with all ages tbf!

We visited the restaurant with a group of 22 and the service was absolutely fantastic. Everything was beautifully prepared for our reservation's arrival time. Everyone had a starter and main course and the food was wonderful, prompt and delicious. We also brought our own birthday cake as one of our group was celebrating her 18th birthday and the staff accommodated us so well and made sure everything was perfect for us.

This is a beautiful family run Hotel which is currently undergoing some refurbishments. is very well located being just a 5 minute stroll down to an amazing beach. The room was very welcoming with the smell of a freshly laid carpet as the door opened onto its thick pile. The room was very spacious and decorated with a modern scheme which looked really good. The view from the window was breathtaking overlooking Sheephaven Bay. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a large ultra modern, dual head walk-in shower, (over 2 m long), with great water pressure. The breakfast is really good offering both local and continental cuisine. Lunch is available from 01:00 pm. The restaurant gets very busy in the evening so it would be advisable to book a table to avoid disappointment. While there are some options available for vegetarians and vegans, they are somewhat limited. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

Enjoyed a family birthday celebration at the beach hotel this weekend. We had the best time and the team, led by Victoria could not have looked after us better.

Booked for a weekend stay, lovely family run hotel. Room was beautiful, clean & comfortable. Staff very friendly & attentive, Sunday lunch was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel

Stopped by to have some dinner and warm up, was met by the loveliest people I’ve ever met in the country. The service was as amazing, the food was 10/10 super yummy and the atmosphere was so welcoming and homely, I would absolutely love to go back. Thank you for the warm hospitality!
