Too good. Really enjoyed the plates we had here and the drinks. HELLA expensive, so bring your credit cards.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately my stomach can’t agree. My party ordered two hamburgers, one medium rare and one medium. Both burgers came out extremely rare. We requested that one would be sent back to be redone and the other we kept. The staff was very polite and understanding about it, but to receive two rare burgers is just ridiculous especially with the $28 price of the burger we were expected to pay. Burger King makes better burgers than that. We also ordered a lobster roll and it really rolled the stomach. I’ve had many lobster rolls in my life and I never had to use the bathroom so quick. Frankly, I’m surprised regarding all the reviews as 4 star rating and higher. The place looked clean and was decorated nicely, but it’s not worth being stuck in the bathroom.

Beach house grill has roofed area seatings and tables on sand. Lunch was incredibly relaxing with beach breezes and perfect views. Lobster nachos was huge with so much lobster meat, clam chowder was perfect. Cold brew coffee and drinks were delightful. Could spend a whole day there.

We had lunch here on a Saturday and it was amazing (even though it rained). Other resort and beach bars (like ocean edge) don’t allow outsiders, but to be able to eat at this resort in such a pretty setting is very nice. We sat along the edge looking towards the beach, and had some very nice servers who offered to split the burger for us in two when we ordered things to share, and the hummus we got looked so nicely plated, it looked like a vegetable garden. They offered to let us taste a beer when we asked about it. The whole atmosphere and decor were so nice and made it so worth it. I forgot to say the churros were the best I ever had.

Google
The perfect spot. Lunch or dinner on the beach! Scenery is gorgeous. Food was amazing! I would drive hours to have the lobster nachos! Calamari, so good!!

Google
OmG 😱 have you ever seen lobster so RED!!!! It was honestly too beautiful to eat ((Oh boy though am I sure glad I did eat))! The food was SOOOOO YUMMY 🤤 of course I had to try the lobster nachos being a Cali girl it was almost an instinct haha! food was SUPERR FRESH, service was totally sophisticated, the drinks was sooo delicious 😋 my only complaint is that it was a bit pricey but then again it is Cape Cod. Other then that it’s totally a must a try

Google
Prices are a little on the expensive end compared to other establishments in the area that provide a similar selection and beach-side dining experience. The food was pretty good, though, as was the service. A nice place to try if you are in the area, just so you can brag to others that you have.

Google
Really good fish and chips, lots of fish and just right amount of batter. Great service as well with new view of the beach!

Yelp
Excellent service and food, ambiance is also very nice! I like the lunch menu better than the dinner menu - our food was excellent! We ate lunch and dinner here and these pics are from dinner. Lunch was tuna salad and crab BLT.

Yelp
It's a splurge with incredible views and beach breezes. Servers all friendly, even when super busy. I like to go to the bar in late afternoon for a glass of wine or a cocktail. Also like to have lunch there with friends at least once a summer. So many weddings at CBI this June. It is even a pleasure to drive by and see the beautiful wedding parties and set ups. Cheers.

Yelp
We were a large group of 9 and did walk-in for lunch. We were seated pretty much immediately upon arrival. There are lots of tables outside with a big beach front view. The space is bright and very much screams "country club". The food was fresh and made for a delicious brunch. There's complimentary valet parking for guests and the service is a bit of a mixed bag. Our waitstaff was friendly and quick, but the bathroom was a mess. Half of my group informed different staff members they were out of toilet paper at varying times as did other patrons and it was never restocked.

Yelp
One of the best views! Enjoy watching the water and listening to music. Lobster bakes are fun for the family!

Jessica P.

Yelp
Highly recommend for lunch! We got the lobster nachos and truffle fries! The lobster nachos could easily be shared amongst a large group of 6-8 people. The nachos were super flavorful and loaded with large chunks of lobster! The Salted Watermelon Margarita was also delicious and so refreshing. 10/10 recommend. Note: You have to be a hotel guest to be seated on the deck near the beach.

Helene C.

Yelp
Lobster nachos fantastic! Asked for extra cheese and guacamole on the side! Yanita server so kind, friendly and efficient!!

Yelp
Honestly, for the price point, this place is just okay... The ambiance is amazing... right in the beach. Friendly staff and responsive service. Food was good, not great. Clam chowder was excellent - I would highly recommend it. Shrimp cocktail was excellent- I would highly recommend it. I ordered a dry-aged steak $$$ and it was okay. Fries were not good. This is a good restaurant at a great resort. I'd recommend trying another restaurant at this resort.

Yelp
A member of our group of nine made reservations for us to come to The Beach House at 8 PM on a Thursday evening. Straight away, our excitement was met with a less than stellar experience that would not improve. The person who made the reservation made it clear we wanted to sit outside- and that's why the person at Chatham Bars Inn recommended this restaurant. So they sat us inside, under some very bright lighting - we asked to move and they, I admit, were nice about it. Service was very slow. Cocktails were not well made. But the worst part was, we ordered "starters" and dinner and appetizers came out all at once! When I inquired why, they said they don't serve in courses. What?!? For crying out loud, restaurants like the Olive Garden can manage courses and you can't? When you set my lamb (which wasn't cooked the way I asked) down and my soup at the same time, my lamb is cold of if I take time to eat the soup! I said I didn't want the soup and the server just stood there looking confused with my giant bowl of soup in her hands until I just told her to put it in the middle of the table - because it wouldn't fit anyplace else. BTW, I didn't eat it and they charged me for it and boxed it up. You'd think a restaurant at a property that bills itself as luxury would have a more service-oriented staff. At the end of our dinner, they started cleaning up all the tables and shutting down the restaurant while we sat there finishing up - it was clear they wanted us to go. The whole dinner felt rushed from start to finish. This was a dinner with clients for work and it was just an extremely expensive, confusing evening for all.

Yelp
Stayed at Chatham Bars Inn and decided to have lunch here while waiting for our room to be ready. While the atmosphere is cute, that's just about it. Was extremely disappointed with everything that we ordered. Strawberry daiquiri came out of a dispensing machine, the chopped salad was soggy and brown lettuce, and the poached shrimp were filthy. Would not return.

Yelp
Can't beat the location, upscale beachy vibe, island music and ocean views. Friendly, attentive service, too. We just came by for drinks and appetizers. But was lovely. Had a. Order of the calamari, and it was very tasty, crispy and flavorful, generous portion, too.

Yelp
Pricey but good! We came here for evening drinks and were able to get seated immediately because it was a cold day. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helped us move indoors when we got too chilly outside. I started with the Chatham Chai Spritz and the clam chowder to warm myself up! The spritz was delicious (chai is very subtle, it's more like an Aperol spritz) and the clam chowder was great, as well. The garlic truffle fries (pretty large portion) were delicious, but a little soggy towards the bottom of the bucket. My friends both got the salted watermelon margaritas and absolutely loved them - a perfect summer drink! Overall, this spot is definitely expensive but we had a great experience!

Yelp
We sat on the beach and it was quite beautiful. As others mentioned, food was pretty expensive. Wine was even more-so. The chicken and filet were really good though. The holandaise sauce was delicious. There was some sort of lobster feed which was cool, but I'm sure you had to have a reservation and/or tickets.

Julie B.

Yelp
CBI is Chatham's only true waterfront dining and it doesn't disappoint here or in the big house. However, several in-town and nearby locations keep the service and presentation on its toes now though. If you aren't lucky enough to be a guest of the resort it is still a really great spot to valet the car and relax over a nice casual meal and cocktail on a beautiful sunny day. Fish tacos are delicious and the veggie hummus platter is magazine worthy. Don't miss this location.

Yelp
This place is definitely worth visiting at least once when in Chatham!!! The view is absolutely serene and stunning. As expected, prices were on the higher end per entree. But given the absolutely beautiful scenery, the price was justifiable. In terms of food, everything was average. The clams were fresh, though they still had a bit of sand in them. The veggie burger was like any other. On the other hand, the drinks were fantastic - especially the pina colada! Though the food isn't the best in terms of taste, this place is still worth visiting at least once!

Yelp
I was walking by the coast and found The Beach House. It was very busy so we knew we had to try it. The service was great and the workers were very friendly. The food was very good, the tacos tasted fresh and the sauce was delicious! The salad was nice the chicken was juicy and very flavorful. There wasn't much sauce though so I asked for sauce on the side. The ambiance was awake and full of people, but not over packed, and scenery were beautiful! It's beach themed and matches perfectly with the view.

Yelp
A group of 8 ate dinner at the Beach House at Chatham Bars Inn. We ate at two tables on the sand. The good part was the atmosphere, which was very, very nice. The mediocre part was the quality of the food, the price and the service. The wait staff were very pleasant, but mostly not competent. Several people who provided service either chose to ignore requests, or simply were not fluent in English. I suspect it was the latter. The scallop dish for $42 was very disappointing. Five medium to small scallops with a sauce and nothing else. Considering that beautiful, large scallops are available from scallop boats all over Cape Cod, I expected a much better dish from Chatham Bars Inn. What I got was hardly an entree by any stretch of the imagination. The halibut was good. Two people in our party ordered that. But it was unusual that one person's serving of halibut was twice the size of the other's. The side dishes were small, as were the appetizers. The appetizers were adequate, but nothing special. My favorite item was the kids truffle mac and cheese. That was delicious and an adequate serving for an adult or child. I wish I'd ordered that. We also had several drinks. Generally they were good, but there were errors of omission, and wait staff had zero idea of who ordered what. Similarly, we were initially served some incorrect entrees, and it was impossible to communicate this to staff who brought them to our table. When the main waiter showed up, he ordered a correction which took another ten minutes to arrive. None of this is what one should expect dining at a place that is supposed to excel. I would like to be able to recommend this restaurant, but I just cannot. Wequassett is close by, and I've eaten there. I'll go there again next time.

Yelp
A friend of ours wanted to have lunch at the Chatham Bars Inn and so we went to The Beach House on a Saturday Afternoon. We were greeted by a valet staff, welcomed to the Inn, and welcomed again by the hostess who seated us as a table overlooking the ocean. Our server, Yohan, was magnificent, guided us through the menu, made certain that we were pleased with our choices, and delivered a level of service that made us feel comfortable, never rushed. He knew where the fish was caught that day and pointed out that the watermelon radishes on our salads were grown at the Chatham Bars Farm in Brewster. Considering the quality of ingredients, talented preparation, level of service, location, and overall atmosphere, the price of the lunch was very reasonable.

Yelp
Awesome view of sea, perfect food. A little overcrowded but very lovely atmosphere and a good choice for fish lovers.

Yelp
{Overall: 3; Food: 3} Atmosphere: 4.5; Service: 4 The best part of the Beach House is the atmosphere. Right on the beach, with plenty of outdoor seating and beachy decor, it's a nice spot to chill out and have a casual drink or meal. We ended up going light on the food since nothing really appealed to us (all standard fare of sandwiches, etc.). From when I looked over at the tables near by the portions were huge. We had a couple of appetizers and a few drinks and just enjoyed the setting. Complimentary valet parking. The restaurant has its own lot which is separate from the main hotel lot.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place as we were making a trip to Chatham from Hyannis for the day, and had heard good things about the hotel this restaurant is connected with. Unfortunately, the quality did not match the price (really steep). The presentation was good and menu options were decent, but it all just tasted "eh" instead of great like we were expecting considering the location and price. Also, the side salad I ordered had nothing on it but a touch of dressing so it was pretty underwhelming. Although the staff was friendly, they were extremely slow and inattentive. Seemed relatively busy but there were quite a few tables open so not crazy. I will say, the oysters were great and the staff was friendly. There are also cute photo spots in the area.

Yelp
This is our favorite lunch date in Chatham. Beautiful, expansive veranda with lots of tables, umbrellas, soft seating, and a cute gazebo bar. The Beach House has: - the best clam chowder (thick, creamy, well-seasoned - the best cold lobster roll (huge, meaty, flavorful) with tasty fries (July 2021 market price was $43ish) - a delicious burger - great selection of beers and cocktails - attentive, outgoing, nice servers

Holly F.

Yelp
The ambiance is unmatched. Service and cocktails great. What makes it 4 star was the appetizer. The Quahog and chorizo fritters were a little uncooked. Couldn't taste clams or chorizo. Overall a great experience and I'd go again

Yelp
It's worth the 5 star review on the view alone, but this restaurant is the real deal. Great looking place, excellent food and terrific service. All the fish was cooked to perfection and whatever you get, order the truffle fries to go with it. Thank me later.

Yelp
Had reservations for the clambake, unfortunately missed out on seeing the entire experience but that's okay. The hotel is classy and the beachfront setting is a scene not to be missed... our afternoon/evening dining was not the greatest... the food was okay. It was a buffet setting which was fine. The cleanliness especially during Covid was lacking. What hurt the most was there were kids running around everywhere, the staff was encouraging it and their parents were allowed to shout from across the restaurant. The food was not up to the standard we were expecting. I get it we are on vacation but this should not be allowed. Our drinks were incorrect, people were grabbing food from the buffet lines with their hands because serving utensils were falling from the table, a horrible experience.

Tyler B.

Yelp
The service was very nice. The beach was really close and fun to walk to while waiting on food. The food itself needs a bit of flavor, I thought the chips were a bit bland. The ambiance was very beach-y, and during the day the lights aren't on inside. Overall, I would recommend this as a second or third option.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. The food is alright and the service is not bad. But the view and ambiance is pretty nice. The waiter was pleasant.. he was all about the up charge and always seemed like he was in a hurry, but nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves and our meal. We ordered both the specials, scallops w eggplant and the sirloin steak fajitas. The fajitas were delicious, the scallops were slightly sandy, and the eggplant and other vegetables were kinda tasteless. I would still go back here, but will order something more traditional.

Yelp
Worst experience ever . Went for lunch mid-week . Was seated inside ordered drinks and then lunch . Waited for over an hour for food that never came. No attention , no comps or apologies . Young in experienced staff were overwhelmed and innattentive. We walked out without ever seeing food or waitstaff , not even a refilled water glass. Management needs to get it together.

Yelp
I have to say , this was one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The service was so slow, I was a young women when I arrived and am now old! The clam chowdah was so thick, it had to be sitting most of the day on a burner. I would normally just shrug it off , but at $14.00 and living on the Cape it was an insult to serve this and have it represent food from my area. When I told the waitress It was not at all good (2 bites) she offered me something else. She should have removed it from my bill since the cup was still full. My husband's oysters were nothing special, served with wine vinaigrette, not what I prefer. The view was the only saving grace, will not be back for more abuse. Linda from Cataumet Ma

Yelp
The vibe is chic Lilly Pulitzer. Designer clothing prevails. We arrived on a Monday at 3. The sweet hostess seated us on the sand. Service was slow to start and towards the end, after an hour of dining, we felt hurried out. Food arrives with promise. Plating is artistic and creative. It ends there as flavors don't match the presentation. The oysters were fresh but the chowder, Caesar Salad and burger was meh. 135+ for two wines, Saratoga water, three oysters and shrimp app.

Yelp
Returned this summer to higher prices but better food and drinks. It's a beautiful setting and we came once for a lunch (early August) and later for the clam bake. The lunch was fun and we tried the lobster nachos which was pricey but HUGE it was enough to make a few meals out of. Lots of lobster too. Our waitress was super nice. And generally we find the wait staff to be extremely nice here. Our second visit was the evening Clam bake. They had changed it compared with our last experience a couple of years ago. The price was lower and the selection was less. The raw bar was taken out of the basic price and the lobster was also a separate order. We kept it simple, went with the basic and had plenty of delicious food. I think they said they were trying this out this year. But that's the way the reopening is affecting many places. Overall we were very happy with our experience and look forward to next year's offerings.

Yelp
It's was early in the season went we went. I guess the staff was still getting into the swing of things. But prices are expensive for the level of service and presentation of food at this time ($22 burger, etc). It was great to sit on the beach, feet literally in the sand. Ocean views were great while dining. Waitstaff service was on the slow side. No check-in after the food arrived not impressed with entree, couldn't look at it after a few bites. Calamari was delicious!!! Would probably try one more time when they are in season and into a grove, but would probably sit in the bar area to make sure to be able to get everything in a reasonable amount of time! But, than that would take away from dining with sand in your toes......

Yelp
Simply one of the best beach bars ever. Outstanding service, great views and super personable and professional bar staff. Family friendly and wonderful menu - fish tacos are extraordinary!

Yelp
Great spot for drinks at the outdoor bar. Beautiful grounds, calming atmosphere. Attentive bartenders!

Vivian L.

Yelp
Having grown up in the NorthEast, and coming from Florida, we were looking forward to a great Clam bake. The reviews were good, so we were excited to get an outdoor table for the clam bake. The views were beautiful. The host was very accommodating and welcoming. Unfortunately, the service was probably the worst we have ever experienced, and we are well-traveled. The waiter either didn't care or forgot everything he promised. Our table was tilting, and he said he would fix it, and we reminded him 30 minutes later. We asked for a soda, he forgot for 45 minutes. He didn't bring the silverware for another 20 minutes. Every time we "reminded" him, he acted like it was a surprise. At the end, when we finally asked for the check, another 25 minutes went by, and a manager asked us if we needed anything. The waiter never even came at the end. Our recommendation, to a restaurant that charges the prices that is does, is that the waiter should be attentive, and, if he is unable to remember things, to write it down. In addition, we got sick on the ride home, so we believe the seafood was not fresh. We would never return and cannot recommend. There are countless amazing restaurants in the area. We recommend customers stay away from the Chatham Bars Inn Beach House.

Tanner S.

Yelp
Fish and chips. A little greasy but super good ! Sit outside because the views are AMAZING! Grab a drink while you wait on your table and explore the area.

Yelp
In the last week, I have had a bad experience dining at the beach house and another disappointing experience interacting with the hostess. A week ago, my family and I were quickly seated for weekend lunch right by the host stand. For 20 minutes, every other table was served while not a single waiter/waitress approached us. At the 20 minute mark, a waitress came over to tell us that she was not our waitress, but she could get us water and that our waitress Chelsea would be there soon. We waited for Chelsea for another 15 minutes, but she never arrived and the host stand 5 ft away didn't seem to notice. We grabbed our stuff and left, seemingly still unnoticed by the host table. (I hope Chelsea is okay). Today, my friends and I arrived at the Beach House for a late lunch, hoping to grab a table first come first serve per the website. I asked the hostess how long is the wait and she replied how many people. I said 4 and she said we don't have any availability. Thinking it was odd to even ask me how many people I had if the place was booked, I had my friend inquire like he was a different party of 4. She told him that reservations(!) had booked up for lunch and dinner until 9pm. It was 4pm and there were wide open tables. He asked what our alternatives to eat or drink are (at this vacation resort), but the hostess seemed bothered and offered no alternatives, despite a full restaurant and bar across the street at the main campus of the resort. Thankfully the passing waitress (maybe Chelsea!) offered these alternatives, which we checked out and quickly found exactly what we were looking for: Great drinks, apps, service from Inga, heat lamps and music at the Gazebo by the CBI Veranda restaurant. I could not recommend the Gazebo more. Hopefully they can inform the Beach House hostess about the alternatives that the resort offers. Happy 4th :)

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent service from valet guys to the managers, amazing views, clean restaurant and great food! We cannot wait to come back again!

Angela A.

Yelp
The service and food here are excellent! Ask for Val in the dining room. She made perfect recommendations and provided wonderful service. She even remembered my name when I came back. I'll be back!

Liam J.

Yelp
Service? Sorry, I don't know what that is. I've been to a ton of restaurants and this by far takes the cake. The overpriced cake that you never got because we left. Why'd we leave? Is that even a question? Alright enough silly talk I'll cut straight to the point. This place's service is very slow. The employees seem nice but their brains are as small as a rat's. Please fix it. If you're a tourist reading this, don't eat here. Just. Just don't.

Smellis S.

Yelp
Chatham Bars Inn is an incredible experience and the beach house is a fabulous, less formal way to get a fantastic meal! It's not cheap, but the quality is exceptional. In the summer there is a clambake every Thursday through Sunday that is expensive ($95) but absolutely worth it!

Brandon W.

Yelp
Sub Par Restaurant. Service was non existent. Food was ok but Nothing to get excited about. Over priced. Won't be back
