Stayed here many times and it is consistently excellent. Every aspect of service was superior. Right on the beach, great place for a family gathering (we had 3 families), lots of restaurants within walking distance, short drives to Manhattan or Santa Monica for more action and sophistication. Sand toys, towels, chairs for the beach. Rooms, with separate living space (seating, tv, microwave, stove top, mini refrigerator. Nice balconies. Hot tub is great for after the beach. We loved the healthy breakfast, everyone happy with choices, so fun eating outside watching people on the “Strand” pass by. One familiar staff member keeping the breakfast food stocked and tables clean said she’d worked there 23 years or some incredible length of time. Thanks Beach House for being so consistent over time.

The location was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff made my experience a time to remember. They realized it was my birthday and sent a bottle of Prosecco with two champagne glasses to my room. I highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Google
The view is incredible! Rooms are large and comfortable. Great location to watch surfers in the morning and beach volleyball during the day. Plenty of restaurants less than a block away. Excited to get back to the Beach House.

My husband and I love the Beach House Hotel. This was our 3rd stay. The rooms are comfortably equipped with everything needed. Gorgeous views of the beach. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful, from the valet attendants to the front desk staff, especially Davisha and Nolan. Top notch, first class.

We stayed in one of the partial Ocean View rooms in April for one night. We loved it. The room was so clean and decorated with the beach feel. Breakfast is included and there is a fitness center. It is located close to some great restaurants and right on the beach.

American Heritage

Google
Really nice location with comfortable rooms. Front desk staff could be nicer and more genuine. My main issue with this place is the parking and that they only offer guest a valet parking service (no self park). Well on the 3rd night I found the valet "chillen" in my car with the seat fully reclined acting like he owned the thing. So I learned dont leave your 200k+ car with a valet and dont expect hotel management to care about your complaint. Lesson learned but 3 start review as a result.

Google
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were on 2nd floor. Noise from kids running in the unit above us was bothersome. Their website says "Maximum of 4 adults" on the 3rd floor. Manager's answer "everyone has to have fun". Location is very good. Wish they had a restaurant on site.

Google
The location was great! The drive from the airport was not bad at all. Very Beautiful view, walking distance to food and the beach. The employees were very friendly and helpful! Room was clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Beach House Hotel Hermosa, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, right on the beach, offering stunning ocean views and easy access to the sand and surf. The nearby pier and local shops add to the charm of this beautiful area. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed with modern amenities. I especially loved the balcony with its breathtaking view of the ocean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, my stay at the Beach House Hotel Hermosa was wonderful. It's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Hermosa Beach.

Yelp
Spent one night here with my teenage kids last weekend. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I requested a quiet room, away from the front walk. My room was VERY clean, and we were very pleased overall. The continental breakfast was extensive, and the patio seating was perfect for a sunny morning at the beach. My son and I used the large jacuzzi during the last hour it was open, from 9PM - 10PM. There were no clean towels, the pool area was not neat or clean, the jacuzzi wasn't as clean as we hoped, and the water temperature wasn't quite warm enough. Overall, we had a very positive experience. We will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Spent the night in a beach view king room Pros: - Honestly a very adorable little hotel on the beach front. That beach view was amazing! Small balcony where you can sit and watch the sunset. - The view was so amazing you could see it from the bed - Room was pretty perfect - comfortable bed, plenty of plugs for all your electronics. I don't think this was a suite, but it felt like it due to the small seating area - Small kitchenette almost? There was a 2-burner stove, water kettle, small microwave, and an empty (except for our 2 complimentary waters) mini fridge. There was a keurig machine with a few coffee pods. Nice if you want to bring a few snacks to eat in the room - Bathroom was pretty well sized and clean. Huge soaking tub. L'Occitane toiletries - Location, location, location. Literally a block from the main area next to the pier. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance - Staff were all polite and friendly - Valet parking $37/night. They said we were allowed to come in and out throughout the day if we needed Cons: - Price, this isn't cheap, but I think well worth it if you wanted a mini staycation next to the beach! - The room TVs were a bit of a nightmare. There were 3 separate remotes and 2 TVs. We couldn't figure out which remotes went with which TV. It was a hassle to navigate - slow connection, slow response from the TV. But I guess, why are you bothering to watch TV when you could look out the window and watch the ocean instead? - Noise. Be aware this isn't a small private beach. There will be noise from others walking along the beach. The day I checked out there was a beach volleyball tournament of some sort going on right outside. They weren't loud, but it's just something to consider if you're a light sleeper. I didn't mind. It was nice to people watch from bed. Would I come back? Yes

Yelp
Booked this for a trip with my Mom. We were pleased with the friendly staff, luxurious amenities with all details well thought out. This hotel overlooks the Strand and the beach, and offers free chairs and towels for you to go sit by the waves. Rooms feature nice bedding, awesome bathrooms with both a tub and shower - they even include a bath bomb and rubber ducky for you to enjoy. Continental breakfast is included and is offered on the ocean front patio. I enjoyed getting to have coffee while watching people walk, run and bike by. Close to many nice shops, bars and restaurants. Several bike rentals also available. nearby, one across the street. Small onsite gym as well as valet parking through the hotel.

Yelp
What a fantastic stay! Staff is so welcoming, continental breakfast has a good variety, immaculate clean room, location you just can't beat! Such a relaxing stay, our kids favorite place to stay. They have beach toys, chairs, towels for the beach, DVD movies and board games for the kids, all included in your the price. Johnny & Devisha at the front counter were amazing in making our stay memorable. Thank y'all so much!

Yelp
Long overdue Yelp Review... since my Yelp reviews have garnered some decent weight to help guide consumers toward their: Good | Better | Best Options and to exercise their purchasing power, I've added some reviews to my Yelp review portfolio that are long overdue. With that said, in short: Beach House Hotel in Hermosa Beach is a 5 Star hotel with a 10 Star location that sits right on the beach boardwalk. When it comes to Real Estate.. -it's all about "Location, Location, Location!" -- the Beach House location is perfect and that's what you are paying premium price for -- Location! They offered boogie boards and sand toys for my teenagers (at the time) which was great!! The concierge service was average -- not 5 star -- and the breakfast they offer is what I call the affluent "Starvation Diet" -- not an ideal breakfast at all for hungry kids/teens first thing in the morning. So the 1 star deduction comes by way of luke-warm concierge and the starvation breakfast offering. Other than that, its a 5 Star Hotel because of its Prime Location.

Yelp
I've been getting the run around while trying to get a freaking refund due to a family emergency. The front desk is no help and there is no way of getting in touch with any member of management... apparently the only way to get ahold of the owner; which is indirect thru email that goes thru the inefficient front desk staff. that is not very knowledgeable. Any Time we ask for a supervisor they are all of the sudden not available.....

Yelp
Pro-tip: Stay in the hotel with a beach view, if you can. Price: 3* Service: 5* Location: 5* Ambience: 5* Views: 5* (with a beach view) Experienced this place for a meeting, what a gem! A little hard to get to, but once you are here, enjoy. Right on the beach at Hermosa and easy walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Staff were great, professional, and very helpful. I would stay here and enjoy.

Yelp
Idk. Maybe I am just easy to please or I just don't get out much but this is a place i want to come back to over and over again. Views: 5* (with a beach view)3rd floor beach view and blacony was soo worth it. Ambience: 5*: Cozy room with a nice fireplace and just enough space to stretch out. Enjoyed the volleyball pratice going on. Location: 5*: It's so close to shopping and nightlife. Next stay will be extened so we can get a feel for the locals. Cons3*:Down side. Check in/out times. Yelp
New update-We went back again just last week for our yearly trip. We stayed a few nights in an ocean front suite like we usually do and I'm happy to report that our room was very clean this time. We had no issues this year unlike the last previous couple of years. The towels and bedding seemed much better this year. The tile floor, shower, carpet seemed like it was deep cleaned. Everything was so clean. I even noticed the balcony was even clean.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it. Love the restaurants nearby a block away. Staff here is very nice and friendly. I chose to pay for the beach view and requested the 3rd floor, which I got. I prob got the best room since it was smack in the middle of their bldg. They have free continental breakfast that you go pick out whatever you want and can eat outside on their patio or bring to your room. I went down twice. The room is bigger than I thought it looked in the pix. I love the fridge and microwave. They do have 2 stove tops, but no pots/pans, only a kettle. Plus dishes and silverware. There are 2 TVs in the room. Very beautiful view. Would stay here again.

Yelp
Wow! I'm so amazed by this hotel, their staff, and the beauty of staying at a beach front hotel! I couldn't have asked for a better 35th birthday celebration. My husband and I decided to book this hotel because we wanted to throw a cute, fancy picnic on the beach and we figured we might as well stay so we can move all the picnic stuff right to our room. I loved all staff members, but the employee that went the most above and beyond for us was Karla! She was so sweet, accommodating, and helpful answering all of my questions because I'm very extra! She helped us by putting us on the first floor so it was easy to move everything back and forth. She sent us a complimentary bottle of champagne and I was so honored and grateful that I brought her some lunch and desserts from my picnic (everything was individually wrapped because of covid). Parking is $28 for overnight and $20 for just day parking. It's self park only and they have their own parking lot in the back. They offer breakfast, but because of the pandemic, they can deliver it to you all individually wrapped as well. Amazing service all around! We will definitely be coming back for another Staycation in the future! Thank you for everything Karla, you're truly impressive!

Yelp
Nearly perfect. This is a quaint and cozy hotel with exceptional front desk, valet, and room service staff. The excellent location is both a blessing and a curse, particularly during the weekends when hundreds, if not, thousands of people descend on Hermosa Beach. Loading, unloading, and checking into our rooms was relatively easy and painless due to the remarkably astute valet attendants. My room overlooking the ocean was very comfortable and relaxing, though the mattress was a bit firm for my preference. I also had to kill a gross spider, but I won't hold that against them. My only complaint is that the TV removes are universal and operate both units in the rooms. If you're laying in bed, this means you incidentally turn on the living room TV, when you turn the bedroom TV off. In our other room, we were having issues with the bathtub not draining properly. Other than that, we had a lot of fun staying here and if we feel like spending $500 a night on a hotel room, the Beach House will be one of our preferred destinations.

Yelp
I have stayed here twice now and can't wait to stay again. I don't know how I had not heard of this hotel until last month but I am so glad it randomly came up in my search as it is now my go-to beach getaway when I just need to have a change of pace and scenery. I live in LA and use this to get away a d have some peace and quiet (also perfect during covid). While I usually try to choose a more reasonable room at hotels that I stay in, for this one, I spring for the oceanfront as it is absolutely worth it. Sitting outside just watching people walk by or savoring the magnificent sunsets is so calming. The 2nd time I stayed, I kept the door open the whole time to enjoy the breeze and was lulled to sleep by the ocean waves. The room is spacious, with a little kitchenette area that is fully stocked with glassware and dinnerware. It also has a fireplace and comfy living area, it almost feels like a small apartment. There is nothing else I could really ask for during my stay. Can't wait to be back.

Chris C.

Yelp
The best service and location. Nice pool, bikes and wonderful staff. The sunsets are amazing from the terraces

Sky S.

Yelp
I usually come to this place to rest, re-charge and write but NONE of that was an option due to construction on the beach starting up at 7am daily. Do not book here during any events on Hermosa Beach, you will regret paying premium prices for completely obstructed views of the beach.

Yelp
During the shut down, I was so desperate for change of scenery that I would have been totally okay with spending a weekend at Lynwood Women's Correctional facility if they allowed the public to visit. I vowed that once this was over/semi over, I would visit more areas and get out of my bubble. (aka my patio) My cousin needed a break from Los Angeles and wanted a staycation by a beach to do nothing. Obviously doing 'nothing' is a favorite hobby of mine so he invited me; he chose Hermosa. Keep in mind, I had NO IDEA where Hermosa is (?) I sorta still dont because he sent me an uber to pick me up but I do know its near Redondo and Manhattan Beach. Nevertheless, it was a gorgeous weekend to stay by the beach, so I said YES. This hotel is PERFECTION situated right ACROSS From the beach. Service A+ Front desk was kind and ensuring EVERYONE had on masks. They upgraded us from partial to FULL ocean view. They can provide water, snacks, soft drinks etc upon request- put it on your tab. They have Valet and parking lot across. ROOM A+ Our room was more of a suite with A LOT Of cabinet space, kitchen/bar area, fridge, microwave, LIving room, FIREPLACE...etc.The works! My cousin slept on the large couch and he said it was great. I got the bed and it was magical. SO Comfortable. SO quiet at night time. CLEAN. Bathroom was large and they utilize high end, name brand, apothecary. View A+ We stayed at room 105 which is first floor, large patio, facing ocean. So many random people stopped and chatted with us. 99% of them were just stopping to tell us how envious they were of this gem we were at. PRIME LOCATION. It was super fun! We pretty much spent the day people watching, drinking, listening to music. LOCATION A+ So many restaurants, bars and shops around. Long story short, I cant wait to go back & thankful for the staff for making our post covid shut down so awesome.

Yelp
My best friend stays here from time to time. It's her escape and had been telling me for years to join them. I'm usually up the road enjoying the water at Manhattan Pier so I never felt the need to go to Hermosa. One weekend last September, the stars aligned. I wanted to surf Hermosa Pier because the AVP event was going on at Manhattan and my best friend just happened to be booked the same weekend. It was a gloomy start to the morning but we enjoyed the beach in front of the hotel. We valet'd at the hotel and found out there was an event going on at Hermosa also... Greattttt. It was Fiesta Hermosa Beach weekend. We had no idea. Ha! It made for a wild time. Carnival games and rides, food booths, concert stage plus the usual beach revelers. The room was nice. Spacious bathroom with separate shower and tub, fireplace, living area, small sink and double burner, 2 large TVs, king size bed and balcony facing the beach. This suite was on the 2nd floor and was a godsend as far as being available to us once we were done at the beach. We were all able to shower up and walk to Pier Ave to enjoy the Fiesta Hermosa, feeling fresh and clean. That was such a luxury and I'm grateful my best friend included us because it was such a nice time. The room was a good size. There is plenty of cabinet and pantry space for a hotel room. There is also a work desk and the living area I mentioned earlier is sunken from the sleeping area. It's a nice layout. Staff and valet downstairs were friendly. We had 2 suites that weekend so we were back and forth most of the time and the kids enjoyed their time in their suite to themselves. To be honest, we didnt turn on the TV once while we were there. All you had to do was look out onto the beach and ocean. It was visible from all parts of the room. So peaceful and just what we needed. I would recommend the Beach House for a small South Bay getaway. Even though our beachfront suite was on the 2nd floor, we didnt hear any of the commotion along The Strand at night. Its in a great location and valet rates are reasonable considering parking is so hard to come by. The weekend we were there, parking was nowhere to be found because of the events along Pier Ave having to do with Fiesta Hermosa. Pier Ave was blocked off right after Becker Surfboards so all cars were diverted on to Monterey. If you know the area, that's at least a couple of blocks from the sand and parking was at a premium for sure.

Sheila M.

Yelp
Great location right on beach. Noisy, though, with volleyballers practicing and construction trucks moving sand at day break. Room is nice. Clean. Breakfast could be better given the prices. Some protein would be nice. Perhaps add some Hard boiled eggs? Biggest complaint is the drinking water situation. For these prices we should get more than two tiny water bottles for the entire stay. At a minimum, two bottles a day? Or a filtered water bottle station. Really seems cheap of the management to be so stingy with a basic necessity. Despite the no smoking sign we had capers smoking pot on the next balcony so had to go inside and close our doors not to have that stench on us.
google avatar

Babak S.

Yelp
We stayed here for a little vacation. The hotel location is amazing, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful especially the valet staff. They made us feel so welcomed upon arrival. We will definitely be back!

Richard R.

Yelp
Just stayed at the hotel for 1 night, It is located in a low quality beach town. Over crowed city with loud HIP-HOP music till the late evening hours on the sand. The boardwalk is not pretty to walk. Better buys for your money elsewhere. The hotel was clean with friendly people but not worth the very expensive rates they charge for an ocean view along with a $40 a night parking fee. The breakfast was continental style with a lovely open patio. I will not be staying there again but will find a more romantic location perhaps in Malibu or laguna beach.
google avatar

Ray C.

Yelp
Very clean well organize all the employees love their job no one's grouchy or mad valet parking very helpful. I will definitely be back

Yelp
I had never heard of Beach House Hotel, as I rarely ever go to the Strand.. I think I was last in Manhattan Beach in 2019, and probably haven't been to Hermosa & Redondo Beach in 10+ years! Yet, a change in scenery was needed during this summer coronavirus epidemic. So, a local staycation was a great compromise during these cautious & protective times.. Our ocean front view along the Strand was a long breath of cool breezy fresh air. The best part was that it was beautifully overcast during our 3 day stay (which I always L U V, since I avoid the sun like the plague), LoL!! The location is priceless in the middle of all the action with the pier, the Strand, the boardwalk, rental equipment, restaurants, and excellent for strolling & doing 10k+ steps. The balcony view (definitely upgrade $$$$ to the Strand & pier view) & patio chairs were definitely our regular lounging area during the entire stay. Although the room is a little dated with beach casual vibes, the crisp white bed was comfy and they had disinfected the room thoroughly for coronavirus. All the plates & glasses were saran wrapped with cleanliness. The little kitchenette & roomy refrigerator adds a convenience factor to store plenty of larger size cold drinks or bottles, fruits, and leftovers. We also enjoyed the bubble bath, as spas & hot tubs are still closed due to pandemic. The Aveda toiletries were nicely scented. The full length mirror & spacious counter in the bathroom was another plus.. I cannot rave enough about their complimentary continental breakfast available for room service or exterior patio dining. The Everything bagel was soft, gourmet fresh, chewy, and tasty (I ate 2 bagels each time). They also offered fresh fruit, nuts, flaxseed oatmeal, BabyBel cheese, Chobin Greek yogurt, fresh squeezed OJ, delicious coffee & gourmet jams. Valet & self parking ($28/night) both available, as I prefer to cautiously self park during this epidemic. Definitely centrally located around Hermosa & Manhattan Beach, so you can explore on foot & not worry about driving or Lyfting everywhere around town.

Danielle S.

Yelp
Paid for two rooms connected one for me and my husband one for my kids connecting. Not cheap. Upon check in we were told they could accommodate a late check out. Then we called this morning and they said they can change it from 11-12. Its not even 12 and the manager Jasmin has had us harrased several times about how we need to get out immediately. On top of that Jasmin has horrible customer service and is extremly rude. We used to love this place!

Yelp
I am at a loss for words. But in a good way. This place is everything I hoped it would be. We splurged and got the Ocean Front Suite. The view was awesome. The room was perfect. The staff was friendly and so helpful. They take the extra steps to clean and sanitize everything in the room (including the TV remotes) The hotel is right next to the pier. It is central to some great food places. The hotel serves a really good continental breakfast. They offer all the basics - fruit, breads (toasts, bagels & muffins), oatmeal, regular cereal, yogurt, etc. My only complaint is that I had to go home. I hope we have the opportunity to go back again. To the staff - Thank you.

Lynn S.

Yelp
My Husband in years past have stayed here for business when he was working. We went last weekend to visit a son who lives in Manhattan Beach now and to go see Elton ! Flew in from NJ. All the staff-front desk, housekeeping were all lovely. We didn't use the valet since we didn't have a car but they seemed on top of their game and polite. 3rd floor ocean front room. It was great and comfortable. The continental breakfast was just right. Met some lovely guests during breakfast. Went to some awesome places to eat when we went out to eat near the hotel. I know we will be back since one of our sons lives there. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is our 2nd stay here for our anniversary and we will continue to make this our annual tradition. Everything is within walking distance, riding a bike or skating. The volleyball courts are a bonus for us since we play. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel offers beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and umbrellas (But know that there a limited supply of boards and umbrellas). Our timing couldn't have been more perfect as the beach opened up the day before we arrived. (We were coming anyways) The hotel was very cognizant of social distancing, wearing masks and of course they did extensive cleaning of all rooms. The rooms are seriously so cute clean and have a lot of amenities including refrigerator, stove, microwave and plenty of space for storing your supplies. Our friends also came and met us here and the hotel made sure our rooms were next to each other. So perfect. Sad to have to check out today but looking forward to our next family tradition.

Yelp
Really love the location of this hotel. Rooms are solid, they are a bit worn but really good overall. Service was good but some confusion at the front desk on bottled water, some staff members want to charge you and others let you have it for free. Overall the place is great. A very nice continental breakfast and the location is Aplus!

Yelp
My employer booked rooms at this hotel for a weekend getaway for our group of 15 people. We had several rooms, and not one person had a negative thing to say about the hospitality, cleanliness, amenities, or services provided by this hotel. I would love it if they had a pool, but since the beach is literally within a minute walking distance, I'll just shush myself on this one. Absolutely amazing time spent here, and everything you could possibly need is within a very short distance, which is an awesome option to have at your disposal. Overall, I highly recommend this as your hotel options. The breakfast is amazing, the value is totally worth it, and the service/cleanliness was absolutely impressive. Don't miss this opportunity to build a memory you won't regret.

Yelp
Popes in to this place without prior research and it was a true find. I gave up looking for an available parking spot in the area and figured, hey, let's check in to this place. It's very central to restaurants, beach, pier, bike rentals. And, one checked in found my venue roomy, with a kitchenette, smalll patio, restroom was a good size. There is a jacuzzi room nearby. They offer continental breakfast. The let you borrow a beachball for use with near-by volleyball nets. They also provide beach towels and beach chairs so you don't have to worry about packing any. Definitely returning for my next beach getaway.

Yelp
Very charming stay. Excellent location. Fine staff. We'll be back within the next year to enjoy a different type of weather. Not sure who owns these units!? Appealing!

Yelp
We were referred to call the Beach House hotel in Hermosa from the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach that was booked. When we called, Saul made this happen for us. He was so courteous and professional in the way he responded to their system being down and having to call us back to confirm pricing and availability on an oceanfront room. We were also in the midst of a road trip so we had a significant amount of luggage to carry in and out of the room, which the valets and bellperson were very courteous and pleasant in helping us with. Amazing service at this hotel and phenomenal view and and beach access!!

Yelp
We picked this hotel for location. Their COVID protocols are great. Everything was exceptionally clean. We encountered a technical problem with our room but the night staff was great and responsive to rectifying the problem. Our night Manager did a great job with taking control to solve the problem. Good customer service is hard to come by and she along with the rest of the Beach House staff are great examples. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day!

Yelp
I didn't spend a lot of time here, just an overnight stay but I did find the room beautiful. Friendly staff and great location, right on the beach. The continental breakfast wasn't that great. About the same as a best western but you can sit outside an enjoy a coffee and muffin right on the beach. A nice way to start your day. I would recommend this hotel

Yelp
All in all, it was a good stay. The room we had was large and almost the size a studio apartment. It's right across the street from the beach and close to bars and restaurants. Will I stay here again? No, and here's why. For almost $450 per night after taxes I'm expecting a little more luxury than a dated-Four-Seasons-from-the-late-90s feel. This place should be capped at $250-300 Room amenities: patio, soaking tub, shower stall, a mini kitchen, 2 TVs, large sofa, annnndd a Technics stereo receiver (from the late 90s) with a DVD player sitting on top.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to rest and relax from the world. We stayed on the third floor beach front. Sat on the patio hours every day. We even left the patio door opened and smelled and heard the ocean while we slept. Fireplace in the room. Bathroom spa like. Morning breakfast was awesome. Location absolutely perfect! Ask for Chris at the front desk. He will make your stay the very best ever! We loved him.

Yelp
TLDR - nice fancy place, annoying front desk staff, Holiday Inn Express style continential breakfast that would be better simply not offered Very nice hotel, cool area at the Strand, super expensive for the ocean view side (with taxes it's about $500 a night on a weeknight and $800 on a Fri or Sat) - all good, it's LA, on the beach and attractive. Why 2 stars? We experienced the party suite next to us on Saturday night/early Sunday morning. This was perfectly predicted by my husband earlier in the day when we saw like 12 people on the balcony next to us, drinking, partying, loud music, whatever all good, I was young once too. We were beat and fell asleep about 11pm despite the noise (we really were tired). Woke up at 2:30am to some SERIOUS thumpa thumpa thumpa. By 3am, I figured I wasn't being a party pooper to call down to the lobby requesting that the disco close for the night in the room next to us. The revelers ignored the knocking on their door and finally were shouted at to open up by the manager from the street below. They had the place cleared out and quieted down in about 15 min. Hotels can't control their guests, though it's hard to imagine they didn't know how big and loud the party was unless they were sleeping at the front desk. Sunday night was fine. We were having a good time and decided to add another night. 10pm Monday we were on the balcony drinking wine, wrapping up the night, ended up having a brief 2 minute, not fun, but not overly loud argument (if you're married, you know this happens sometimes). Husband's had a hard year and needs his ass kicked sometimes to keep going. Mousey mouse guest in the suite next to us called the lobby apparently and complained about us for being too loud - for 2 minutes heated discussion at 10:10pm! I was like whatever losers, but the husband got super offended. Asked for the manager to come talk to us. They don't have one. Front desk lady was a little mouthy and handled it poorly. Husband got fired up and said to hell with it we're out of here. So we left and drove 5 hours home in the middle of the night. Honestly, they get 3.5 stars for one sorta mouthy front desk lady. You kinda get a chip on the shoulder vibe from the front desk folks (not just this one incident). They should look into that. I hope they spend the $500 on some sensitivity training for the front desk. Long story longer, they get 2 stars because the continential breakfast is Holiday Inn Express quality. For reals. For $400-800 a night, fresh housemade pastry, croissants, fruit cup with berries not just melon and grapes would be appropriate. Or add $30 a night and make the breakfast nice. Or just stop serving it. (The ladies who work in the little "cafe" are super nice tho - tip them well if you stay here).

Yelp
You'd expect nothing less than 5 stars for the price of this hotel, but unfortunately I can't give them that. Don't get me wrong; the rooms are BEAUTIFUL and spacious. Two TVs, microwave, refrigerator, stove, Keurig, lots of lighting, fireplace, beach view, the whole 9! Can't complain there. My only qualm was the staff not doing anything about loitering. There were kids hanging around the "secure" parking garage trying to sneak in to skateboard, where our cars should be safe. My fiancé brought it to the parking guard's attention and he dismissively laughed. "I know, they've been trying to sneak in haha". So ask them to leave?? What's so hard about that? Since he was dismissive, we told the hotel staff once we walked in and they were the same. "Oh yeah, they're out here haha". I was failing to see what was funny. It's cool if they're on the beach horse-playing, but they are literally in your parking garage around your guests vehicles and no one seemed to care. That just didn't sit well with me. Other than that, it was great! Due to COVID, we couldn't enjoy any amenities like the gym but I mean, other than the bad, trespassing kids no one cared to address, the stay would've been 5-star-worthy.

Yelp
What a gem! This hotel is so nice!!! The service was great, location is fantastic and view was beautiful. Everything is so nice. We had an ocean view room and enjoyed every minute there. I only have one small but important issue. The bed is not queen, it's more like a full. It was also very uncomfortable. I wanted to stay an extra night but I really couldn't sleep so I went home. Mind you I had the room for 4 nights, so I went home. Other than that the local bars, restaurants and other places are at walking distance. Love the views !

Yelp
Beautiful room on the beach! We had a partial oceanview on the first floor (second building). I was initially disappointed we weren't in the first building, but I quickly realized it really didn't matter. I also thought being on the first floor would make enjoying our patio, but that wasn't the case either. I would definitely recommend getting an outward facing view though, rather than one looking at the other building or parking garage. That would be incredibly disappointing and dramatically decrease the enjoyment of spending time in the beautiful room. The room is beautiful, clean, and has a great layout. The large bright, white tiled bathroom has a huge bathtub and nice shower. The bedroom area has a very comfortable King bed, a desk overlooking the downstairs living room area with fireplace, kitchenette, and outside patio/balcony. The sofa bed my kids slept on was more comfortable than most, as far as I can tell. The room feels very clean and bright. The kitchenette has bowls, plates, mugs, cups, silverware, veggie peeler, and napkins. there is also a two burner stove with a tea kettle. There is also a Keurig machine if you drink coffee. We kept cereal, sandwich items, fruit, and other snack items in one of the cabinets. It was so nice to walk to the beach, come home and rinse off. Scooter down the bike path a few miles. Go back to the beach and easily walk right back home again. The beachfront location is incredibly convenient, especially with two small children. Valet is not cheap at $27 overnight plus tips, but the valet guys are very nice. Breakfast is complimentary, but limited. There were not enough chairs for everyone to sit at a table. There are no tablecloths or flowers on the tables as shown in the pictures. There is coffee, tea, and juice; cereals, bread and bagels, and some not-so-great pastries. Again, it was complimentary, so we should be grateful!

Yelp
I would give this place five star review because of the location and the wonderful staff that I've experience over the years unfortunately they now have a new supervisor named Carla who really has left a very bad impression on us during our stay here. Would not recommend until they get some management that's a little bit more caring and considerate.

Yelp
There was a water leak in our house so we had to stay in a hotel for a while during construction after the water leak and we stayed here. Place was great and staff were very friendly and attentive. Would stay here again in the future'

Yelp
I found this little Gem to be well worth the drive. The hotel is very clean. They follow all Covid precautions. The location is perfect right next to the beach. In my opinion you just can not beat the ocean view rooms. The staff always goes above & beyond to satisfy their customers, and that's greatly appreciated.

Yelp
Partial ocean view is this. Front desk staff is very unaccommodating. Couldn't care less that we we were not happy with the disgusting chemical smell in the room or the lie of "partial ocean view'. If I stood on my tippy toes, I could have possibly seen the ocean from my room. Didn't happen. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!! Seriously, there are plenty of better choices in the area. This place is overpriced & not worth the money spent. Ha

Yelp
This is such a cute beautiful hotel! There's nothing like waking up to the sound of the ocean and opening your door to see it. I loved the small kitchenette, the fireplace and the entire set up. It's modern and you definitely get the whole beach vibe. Complimentary breakfast was awesome. Due to Covid restrictions, the servers prepare your order on the spot and give it to you in a tray or they can take to your room. Everything was delicious. They even had almond milk which I MUST have w my coffee. Overall a perfect 5 star hotel!

Yelp
What I love most about this hotel is the amazing hospitality and service. Recently, my parents stayed here and a week after returning to NY, they realized that they may have accidentally left a bag with a set of AirPods at the hotel. We called, spoke with the manager, and she called back to say that they found them. She graciously shipped it all back to them in NY a day later. Thank you! So appreciative! This hotel has an amazing location! Beach front in Hermosa, and just steps away from many great restaurants and activities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and most importantly, very clean. The bathrooms are modern and beautiful as well. There's an excellent continental breakfast in the morning with fresh-squeezed juices and a variety of hot dishes as well. We always recommend that friends and family stay here when visiting LA. Love, love, love!
