I bought my first pair of reef sandals from here today. I was extremely excited and looking forward to what I thought was good quality sandals. However, when I walked 5 feet outside the door, my grandma looked at the shoes. She showed me that the straps on the side were peeling off immediately. She accompanied me back into the establishment. She showed one of the gals working there the defective item. She let her know that I needed a refund. The store associate let us know that printed on the receipt it said, “No refunds.” Then my Grandma asked for me to receive store credit. We were refused. Another store associate came over and the 2 gals let us know that they could only do an even exchange. I would have been more than fine and content with this option. Unfortunately, they did not carry an extra pair in my most comfortable and confident size. There was no other style of sandal that I desired. I was forced into getting a pair 2 sizes smaller than I typically wear. They didn’t have my size in the style I wanted in the back or anywhere else. I asked the 2 store associates if they had signs posted in their store listing their store policies and stipulations. They said they did not. They let us know it was printed on the receipt. I let them know that o understand but it is extremely frustrating and unfortunate for the policies to be listed on the receipt AFTER you purchase. If I would have known the policies beforehand, I would have been more cautious and hesitant to buy. The situation was an extreme let down because I do not live in this state, and I will not be given the chance to do a proper exchange. I also did not appreciate the lack of compassion and empathy from the store associates. I would have been more appreciative if the two store associates would’ve offered my Grandma or I to speak to the store manager or owner and explain the situation. PSA: if you choose to shop here, they do not do returns or store credit at all under no circumstances. I will not be returning here again. If you are the manager or store owner, please do not feel like you need to respond unless you are willing to offer an alternative or resolution. Thank you.
