Been coming to Coolangatta every year for around 15 years, stayed at half a dozen places between Kirra and rainbow bay.
I like to read reviews so hopefully this will help others when choosing.
The location is great as coolangatta has so much to offer. The apartment we got faced north, preferably I’d like a view up to snapper but every place that’s a lottery, so can’t judge harshly on this place.
The apartment was nice, simple and comfortable, average of what we have experienced, maybe minutely smaller.
The price was lower than most places so I think it’s better value than many places.
Outside noise was quite bad on the north side were we stayed, cars and drunks waking you regularly unfortunately but again can’t fault the resort much for that.
The negatives are the parking. We expected a car space and didn’t get one, first come first served and there’s people waiting hours to snag one every day, such in demand they were.
This unfortunately starts your holiday off with a bad experience as you have to unload and park your car several streets away, and having a new car that’s usually garaged I wasn’t impressed with this.
The only other flaw I’d point out is there’s only two lifts. At peak times you wait over 5 minutes and a lift can turn up already full.
This can be annoying but not a big deal, just seems worse than other places we’ve been.
Otherwise a nice resort, having an in house cafe bar was a surprise, cocktails etc around the pool was a plus. Oh the pool and alfresco common areas and bbqs were great.
