After 30 years of living in Tafton, Pennsylvania, my Bride and I just discovered Beach Lake Bakery — and what a wonderful surprise it was! From the moment we walked in, we were amazed by the incredible assortment of fresh, homemade breads, cookies, cakes, and more. Everything is beautifully made with obvious care and craftsmanship. The atmosphere at the bakery is warm and welcoming, and you can immediately tell that this is a place built on pride, tradition, and a true love for baking. Every item we tried was absolutely delicious, and the quality is second to none. It’s rare these days to find a place where you feel like you’ve stepped into something truly special — and Beach Lake Bakery is exactly that. We are so happy to have found this gem, and we’ll surely be back many times. What a treasure to have right here in our own backyard! Highly, highly recommended!

Imagine finding the most delicious breads, pies, pastries and cookies tucked away on a quiet road in Beach Lake, PA. One bite would make you think you were on a street in my hometown of Brooklyn. The front of the bakery looks like the garage for a private house on a country road. The store only has room for one group at a time. We bought a French style focaccia along with a rustic country loaf, three seed sourdough plus a wild blueberry pie and chocolate chip cookies. I had to leave before I bought out the store! They are only open on Saturdays. Don’t miss it!!!

This is a top-notch bakery. It is a store, not a restaurant, and open only 9-4 on Saturdays. Really good, but not cheap. It can be very slow, especially on holiday weekends, since they only allow one customer to enter at a time. Also not much parking (see below). I've been coming here for about 8 years. It's closed from early January to early April every year.

Great destination bakery in the countryside! The Garlic Fougasse is a delicious cheese crusted bread that’s beautiful too! They bake cookies, pies, sweets and seems there’s always a new creative treat on display! Don’t let the modest building turn you away, this gem is a trip with optional rewards! Best to call ahead to pre-order treats for holidays & special events!

My new favorite bakery I finally did the tour and I love it even more check it out if you haven't already. Family owned and operated . Try the Carrot cake cupcakes(my fave) the breads are amazing and the pies. It's all good just check them out.

Ever since first buying some breads and a pie from them at the Callicoon Farmers Market I've been hooked! Some of the best Breads and Pies I have ever tasted. Plus they Freeze well and taste just as good when reheated. Definitely recommend them to many people.

This is an absolute stand out. A total must if you find yourself within a reasonable vicinity of driving. Anticipate long lines. They supply many of the better restaurants in the area with their outstanding breads. Lisa's bread was by far my favorite, nice crust, tart dense interior. Although the brie cheese and pear pastry was superb. The pies were delicious as well. I've never had a straight up raspberry, mixed berry or a strawberry rhubarb yes, but not this. The pie crust is very similar to when you make it at home- buttery, flaky, nice balance between the crust and the rich fruit. Their website provides the option to order ahead and then pick up.

5 stars for the pies! Got a mini wild blueberry pie for $11 and loved it. Was not as much of a fan of the other pastries (croissant, cinnamon log roll thing that started with a G, and a lemon muffin - all of which were a little dry). I hear the breads are amazing so may need to come back for those. Only open Saturdays out of someone's garage. Very very cute!

I've tried a bunch of things from Beach Lake (picked up from farmers' markets and shops), though I haven't actually visited the brick and mortar yet. + Granola - decent + Raspberry crostata - perfect, my favorite pastry I've had from them so far + Blueberry muffin - awesome + Lemon muffin - eh + Brownie - good, but I like it chewier + Apple pie - awesome 4.5 stars. Hope to try more (and visit in person) soon!

I used to live in Milanville in 2005 when you had just started the business. I remember your bread and croissants. Being French i do appreciate good croissants and yours were the very best. What a GEM of a find! Beach Lake Bakery is just the best. It's a husband/wife team that run their bakery out a converted garage in their backyard. They've made it into a super cute pickup spot with excellent hot coffee. Their bread, sourdoughs, fougasse, baguettes - all amazing. But my absolute favorite? Their pies and pastries. The raspberry galette is truly a heavenly experience. Their blueberry pie is the best I've ever had, and they even use tiny wild Maine blueberries. If you haven't already, you MUST try their danishes, galettes, and pies.... and basically everything else on the menu. Pro Tip: call and order in advance for Saturday pickup! They will sell out before end of day.

Amazing and so easy to order ahead! So friendly too! Highly recommend the pies! And anything freshly baked in the morning!

Cute little bakery with a cookies, biscottis, pies, brownies, dough , and doggie bones.

I've been enjoying Beach Lake Bakery breads, pies and pastries for many years. From the retail offerings to the cafe in Honesdale, Pa and now the store in Beach Lake as well as the farmers market in Callicoon. The pies are absolutely the best. My seasonal favorite is the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Pie available in early summer. Absolutely delicious. My favorite muffin is the Pumpkin Walnut available in late summer / fall. My favorite bread is the Sour Dough Three Seed. This bread is delicious as toast and especially good as a BLT. Such nice people as well. My husband and I hope to enjoy their quality bake goods for years to come.

You must come here!!!! Discovered this bakery recently and tried the almond croissant, the Parmesan twist, two different breads, their very special mushroom shaped meringues, and the OMG AMAZING pecan pie. Regret not buying more!!! Everything is high quality, super fresh, and just beautiful!!! And the staff are super sweet and friendly! Can't wait to come back in April when they reopen for the season!

Local bakery with delicious bread! This small shop out of a remodeled garage sells baguettes, sourdoughs, ciabatta, zucchini bread, challah and bread with walnuts and raisins. They also sell cookies, pies and dog treats. Try the three seed sourdough- absolutely fantastic!!

A local country bakery with amazing bread and cookies and an amazing staff. We were given a 5 minute tour, tasted great treats and were amazed with the home made goods and friendly vibe

The breads are phenomenal! The baguette ancienne - I died and went back to Paris! The croissants - wow! Definitely recommend to go on a Saturday drive!

Beach Lake Bakery made the pies for my daughter's wedding. They were deicious! There were many comments from the guests about the wonderful pies. They were very easy to work with, too. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this place on a recent visit. Although they were closed, they welcomed us, gave us a piece of bread and a tour of the bakery. Also answering questions on the local area. We put in an order to pick up later in the week. We got really good cakes and amazing pizza dough. I only wish we were closer. Everything was great.

Amazing bread! Beach Lake Bakery is a hidden gem in the countryside. It's refreshing to see a family-operated business- and one that makes their bread from scratch. I'll definitely be going back.

Wonderful breads, rolls, cookies, etc. We are never disappointed in their products. Lucky to have them back! We ordered a carrot cake for our daughter's shower and it was delicious!
