Beach Lodge Motel Dunedin

The motel location was great, on a good day, you could access the beach. The motel rooms are nice and spacious, and the evening meals (catering) went down well. The motel also had good laundry facilities. Anouk and Jared were great hosts, and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended

Lovely spacious room. Incredibly comfortable king bed. The location is absolutely ideal, close to the beach and local restaurants. The staff are very helpful and polite. Clean room at a great price. Just what we needed to feel comfortable. I will be back again. Thank.you for a wonderful stay.

This was a disappointment. There were plenty of beds, two or three packed into each room. Our bed was like a hammock it was so worn in the center. When we mentioned it to the male manager he asked "Did you try any of the other beds?" One shower and toilet for the entire three bedroom accommodation. Both of which were about a meter square in size each. One heater for the entire space located at one end of the living room. Let's just say, we stayed one of two nights booked. No willingness to refund or split the second day. If you're going to stay just be aware, it is what it is. Just arrive with low expectations and you'll be fine.

It was a surprisingly spacious room with good amenities, fantastic shower, very clean. You could also request breakfast at a very affordable price. Friendly staff, would definitely go back when I’m back in Dunedin

Great place to stay, my daughter and I stayed in a studio unit (16) which is away from the road so quiet. Loved the black out curtains and we got such a good night sleep! Hosts were lovely. Comfortable beds & clean. Tastefully and practically decorated. Good price. Would 100 % stay again.

This place was a lovely surprise. It's a little dated on the outside but the rooms have been refurbished nicely to be quite comfortable and bright. The one BR unit we had was exceptionally clean, warm and cosy. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great stay. The location can't be beat. Walking distance to St Kilda beach and close to St Claire as well. Most important, we were around the corner from Pirates squash club. The owners were also extremely helpful and kind. Looking forward to staying here again next time we're in Dunedin.

Lovely stay and great value for money. Rooms are great, warm and have everything you need. Great pet friendly options for our dog. Great location near the beach and 15min to town. Very accommodating hosts, we will be back.

The room is dated but it looked & felt clean. It was in a great location - very easy to get to. Plus it is walking distance to Dunedin Ice which is where a free bus was picking up people & taking them to and from the event at Forsythe Stadium. We ordered a continental breakfast & a cooked breakfast which were delivered to our room at the time requested - both were large, terrific value for money & were delicious! The only small thing about the continental is that there was a lot of sweet. We will definitely order both again. Small things would improve it like replacing the faded bed cover and frayed towels plus better water pressure in the shower. Also some sort of wall paneling in the bedroom to help block out noise from the adjoining neighbour - my bedroom wall was obviously the neighbours bedroom wall too and we could hear the very very loud snoring loud & clear...lol. Otherwise, the beds are very comfortable. We would absolutely recommend staying there & will be booking again ourselves.
