My experience at the Beach Park Hotel did not meet my expectations. Upon arrival, I was required to pay a USD 200 deposit and a USD 200 resort fee, which I had not been informed about beforehand. The resort fee, amounting to USD 25 per room per day, supposedly covers beach towels, the in-room safe, and Wi-Fi, which I found to be quite unreasonable. Initially, these amenities should have been included in the daily rate, and secondly, this information should have been clearly communicated during the booking process. I made my reservation through a travel agent, who, in turn, booked through Expedia, which was unaware of this fee. The hotel stated that this information is available on its website, but I had difficulty locating it. The hotel and the rooms were not up to par, poorly maintained, and did not resemble the images on the website. The building is old, with an outdated elevator that was out of service throughout my stay. The front desk staff was not very helpful. Furthermore, the rooms lacked a microwave and coffee maker, and there wasn't a microwave available anywhere in the building. The hotel's primary advantage is its location, being close to the beach and more affordable than other hotels on the street. Considering these factors, I would rate this hotel with one star. I do not intend to book a room at this hotel again in the future. However this most certainly did not spoil my time in Miami.
