This vintage hotel is awesome. Rooms were clean, beds were cozy. A/C is central not by room. We were a bit chilly so front desk gave us two fleece blankets and we slept beautifully. The retro decor starts as soon as you walk into this heritage type building and is mirrored throughout. The elevator was out of order which was unfortunately because we were looking forward to seeing the old fashioned style lift. Front staff was very helpful with any and all questions I had. Location is insane! Walking out the front door takes you right to the beach. Nestled in between great restaurants. 30 second walk from bicycle rentals. I would definitely come back.

⸻ ⭐ ZERO STARS – Do Yourself a Favor and Book Somewhere Else ⭐ Beach Park Hotel – South Beach, Miami I’m not someone who complains or leaves bad reviews — I’m actually very easy to please — but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel like people should know what they’re walking into. I had three prepaid rooms booked. The only issue was that the reservation was originally under my email instead of my name. I noticed this on my way from the cruise terminal to the hotel and immediately contacted the booking company. They updated the reservation on the spot and emailed me the corrected confirmation showing everything under my name. By the time I arrived at the hotel, I had: • The updated reservation email with my name on it • My photo ID • My booking ID • My reference number • The credit card used to pay Even with all of that, the receptionist refused to check me in because she said she “couldn’t see the name change on her end.” I showed her the email with the updated information right in front of her, but she still wouldn’t budge. She didn’t try to troubleshoot, didn’t offer alternatives, and didn’t seem interested in helping at all. We had 12 people standing in the lobby for two hours, and to make things worse, no manager was on-site at 11 AM on a busy Friday. She claimed she reached out to the manager, but we never heard from anyone. The condition of the hotel didn’t help either. • The lobby was dirty and outdated • The public restroom was filthy and the toilet barely worked • There was no water available for guests while waiting After two hours of getting nowhere — despite having every form of proof — we finally gave up and booked rooms elsewhere. I’m really not picky, and I understand mistakes happen, but the complete lack of effort or basic customer service was unacceptable. I would absolutely recommend staying at a different hotel.

This hotel did not have an elevator. I was not advised to that. She told me that she sent emails to Expedia and all the other places, and they were supposed to contact us. We were not contacted. The air-conditioning in the room did not work. It was controlled at the front desk. The room was dirty. I just don’t think they’ve ever mopped it. You felt stuff all over the floor you had one wash rag with two people there were holes in the hallway walls stains all over the place and you had to pay $45 a night to park your car. They have no control of the Parking. None of this was told to us by Expedia or the hotel when they reached out to thank us for booking their hotel before our trip. I contacted Expedia to try and get my money back for the room so I could go somewhere else Expedia told me that the front desk people told her they wasn’t given any money back went in all reality. Expedia never even tried. I will never use Expedia for another hotel room and this room should be rated at zero stars. I tried contacting the hotel manager. She gave me her card before we left and she’s never available. All in all the trip to Miami was great, but the accommodations was trash.

Love the Beach Park Hotel! It's a no frills hotel, meaning there are no amenities except for hairdryer and TV. They don't even have coffee! Despite that, it is absolutely outstanding in customer service and location. It's old, but interesting. Bring your own everything. They are very warm and friendly and I felt safe there. Location couldn't be better, right at the entrance of South beach.|It's reasonably priced. They elevator doesn't function and you have to carry your own stuff. There are plenty of restaurants around. Very economical and very nice people.

This hotel is very old with no frills. The furniture was very dirty. The plumbing didn't work well and the A.C was minimal. I will say the staff that work there were very kind. However , when we upgraded , they put us in a room that had the strangest odor that we couldn't get rid of and we paid extra. I'm not likely to stay there again but the location was perfect I will say that.

Great value for the price and an excellent location. It’s very close to Miami Beach and the iconic Miami Beach sign. There are plenty of restaurants right beside the hotel, and public transit and grocery stores are only a 5–10 minute walk away. The hotel isn’t newly renovated, but considering the price and location, it’s one of the best options you can find.

Not too bad for the area, being right across the street for the beach. Only downside was the elevator didn’t work and we were on the third floor. Also the phone in the room didn’t work to contact the front desk. Considering the price and location, it wasn’t too bad. There’s also public parking two blocks down for $15 overnight, which isn’t awful (I know the valet at the hotel was more than that) and there’s a bunch of easily walkable restaurants around the area as well. The rooms show their age (cracks in the floor and walls, but nothing concerning) and the walls are paper thin (please keep that in mind, everyone can hear EVERYTHING) Great location, I would stay again if coming back for just a night.

The only positive thing I can say about this property, which honestly felt more like a run-down motel than a hotel, is its location. It sits directly across from the beach, offering convenient access to the shoreline and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The overall condition of the hotel was extremely poor. The building looked old, neglected, and dirty from the moment we arrived. The public restroom on the first floor was absolutely unacceptable there were visible feces smeared on the walls and stalls. When I brought this to the front desk’s attention, the attendant showed no concern and instead tried to excuse it by saying that the restroom belonged to a restaurant. That level of disregard for cleanliness and guest safety was shocking. The elevator was also out of order, and based on the faded, taped-up “Out of Service” sign, it appeared to have been broken for quite some time. We were forced to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs with no assistance or offer of help from staff. The only staff in the lobby besides the front desk clerk was a security guard who spent most of his time chatting rather than providing any real support or security presence. Once we reached our room, I was even more disappointed. The door used an old-fashioned house key rather than a key card, and the lock itself felt flimsy and unsafe. Similar to the first floor, the room was outdated, poorly maintained, and gave off an overall sense of neglect. Nothing in the space , from the furniture to the fixtures, appeared to have been updated in years. Customer service was unprofessional and unhelpful throughout the entire stay. We were only there for one night, and that was more than enough. I did not feel comfortable, secure, or welcomed at any point. the location may seem ideal, the condition of this property and the lack of care from management make it a place I would never return to or recommend to anyone.
