Beach Rotana - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set the scene for us. Arriving at Beach Rotana always feels hectic; after all, the hotel is next door to Abu Dhabi Mall. But once the keys are handed over, or the taxi fare is paid, it's smooth sailing. The lobby atrium makes quite a statement, one that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle outside. Who stays here? Families, couples, and tourists. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. Our Premium room, one notch above the entry-level category, was on the smaller side for Abu Dhabi. But even though the space felt compact, a small terrace offered views of an estuary leading into the Gulf, as well as the sparkling Louvre Abu Dhabi beyond. The furnishings and decor felt quite lavish, with dark woods, suedes, and framed Arabic carpet swatches. The walk-in rain shower was a nice feature in the black and white-clad bathroom. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention for good or ill? Wi-Fi is free but a bit clunky: Guests must switch between the in-room Wi-Fi—which requires a code—and the public-spaces Wi-Fi. What do they have for food? Twelve restaurants, cafes, and lounges made it easy to stay put for meals. Finz, the standout seafood restaurant, is as popular for its ambience as its menu. Positioned in a cute hut-like overwater pavilion, it's a great spot for a romantic evening. The Brauhaus has a German menu of pork dishes and lots of beer; Prego's is Italian, Indigo is Indian, Benihana is Japanese), and so on. Breakfast and Friday brunch happens at Essence, the all-day dining restaurant just off the lobby. And anything we missed? Zen the Spa is a lovely urban oasis with 10 treatment rooms, two tranquility suites, and a well-thought-out private relaxation zone. The Beach Club is great, too, as is the temperature-controlled infinity pool and two pool bars. There's also a separate family pool and a kids' club with indoor and outdoor play areas. Bottom line: is it worth it? This is a prime option for anyone looking for a central location, ample dining options, and myriad leisure facilities." - Melinda Healy

I've stayed at the Beach Rotana for work and with the family and it's been excellent. The food, service, location, pool and gym are fantastic. The hotel is connected to the Abu Dhabi Mall but with the beach and pool, it feels like you could be on the coast. I especially want to call out May and Yusuf from the front of house team, who both made our recent stay brilliant. The staff working throughout the hotel are all very helpful and friendly.

Another fantastic stay at this amazing hotel. This was our fifth visit and by no means our last. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thanks to Bikram for looking after our room to a very high standard. |Would like to say a massive thanks to the pool guys lead by Navin, especially Amal, Nay, Krishna, Dharmesh, Carlo, Chef Birendra and the rest, they work so hard in the extreme temperatures, nothing is too much trouble for them, a credit to the hotel.|If you decide to visit the Beach Rotana, you need to book the dine around package or you will only be getting half the experience. The food in all the restaurants is excellent. Our favourite were Rodeo and Finz. A big thanks to Aravinda, Kimi and John in Rodeo for their excellent service. |Looking forward to seeing them all again soon.

Fantastic hotel - staff, food, rooms, facilities are all absolutely first class. With regard to food and drink, the Essence restaurant run by Chef Chris is excellent - the choice of food there is incredible, as is the Brauhaus restaurant run by Chef Pedro. A big thank you to May at the front of house - who is a font of knowledge about anything you need and so friendly, professional and helpful and lastly not forgetting all the bar staff at Bay View pool bar. This hotel runs like clockwork and the standard is extremely high. It’s a stunning hotel.

We have stayed in many Rotana hotels before, but this stay at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi was something truly special. The people here made all the difference, and they deserve to be recognized.||At check-in, Naoufai at reception gave us one of the warmest welcomes we’ve ever had. He read our profile, explained everything clearly, and even arranged early check-in with an upgrade. That really set the tone for the whole stay.||Vinod from housekeeping was amazing. He always remembered our names and preferences, checked in on us both after arrival and later in the evening, and made sure everything in the room was perfect. He never missed a chance to greet us with a big smile.||At the pool bar, Dharmesh went above and beyond. Even when others didn’t step up, he handled everything with kindness and a problem-solving attitude. His care and effort stood out immediately.||Breakfast was a highlight thanks to Faizal at the pancake station. Not only were his chocolate chip pancakes delicious, but his cheerful smile and friendly interaction made mornings feel extra special.||Dinner at Benihana with Saw was unforgettable. His teppanyaki skills were incredible, the food was outstanding, and his show had us laughing the whole time. It was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had.||Even departure was smooth and warm. We were given a late check-out, which helped a lot, and although I can’t recall the gentleman’s name, he was very kind. Finally, the lady at reception gave us such a genuine farewell smile that it left a perfect last impression.||This hotel already has a great reputation, but the team made it unforgettable for us. Thank you to everyone mentioned — you have all earned a special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to come back.||Deniz & Ramazan

Outstanding Hotel with outstanding staff. If I can start with May from the front of house who we have dealt with for the last three years, she couldn’t be anymore helpful if she tried a really lovely lady. All the restaurant’s are excellent and the buffet is without doubt the best we’ve ever been in anywhere, the head chef Christopher was a great asset to this great hotel. The German bar was a great place to eat and drink and the head chef called Pedro was an exceptional man very friendly and approachable we liked him very much, and it did help that he was also a great cook. The pool bar boys were amazing and I’d like to thank everyone of them👍 Nav who was in charge and Krishnas,Manej,Sunil,Robin and Joseph + many more. I couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore highly as I’ve said I couldn’t rate the staff enough. We stayed for four weeks from 28th of August to the 26th of September and we’ve already booked for another month next year, we can’t wait.

Hotel itself is impressive though bit old. Location of course and is great if you want to stay in that area. Room was very disappointing for the price and what you get elsewhere for this price. Poor amenities and bed sheets/pillows. I wrote them we only stop for few hours and it’s my girlfriend first visit yet we got balcony with poor sea view. Also not much of a sea but more a canal with buildings from other side. Breakfast seems OK but didn’t try. Service is good as in most other hotels here. Guess that next time for this area I will return to Le Meridian hotel which is bit better. Disregarding my early request and not even trying to offer upgrade for few hours stay is very disappointing
