Beach Village at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

We’ve been coming to Beach Village at The Del for 12 years now, and every stay reminds us why we keep returning. The property is incredibly modern, beautifully maintained, and feels like its own private world within the resort. The cottages and villas are always spotless, cozy, and designed to give you that perfect mix of luxury and comfort.||A special shoutout to Sandra, the Beach Village Front Office Manager — she is truly one of a kind. She’s always warm, welcoming, and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure our stay is perfect. Her kindness sets the tone for the entire experience. The whole Beach Village team is the same way: attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making every visit unforgettable.||After 12 years, Beach Village still feels magical. It’s private, peaceful, modern, and always amazing. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Hotel Del Coronado is our go-to favorite resort hotel in San Diego. While we enjoy the Cabana rooms, we especially like to book the more spacious (with kitchen) cottages at the Beach Village as we just recently did when we celebrated our Anniversary. The large patio area was a plus as it gave us a 180degree ocean view of Coronado Beach. It was the best stay we’ve had at The Del so far! The staff was amazing from arrival to departure, including the warm welcome and upgrade we received from Claire. The dining options especially Serea and Nobu were great as well. Special thanks for the exceptional service at Serea from our waiter, Allan! If you haven’t had the Guava sunset margarita, it’s a must! One of the best parts is that they are very pet-friendly. We and our mini goldendoodle cannot wait to return and have another great stay at The Del!

I’m not sure what has happened to this property. Yes, you are on the beach. Yes, you may have an ocean view if you do pay the price for it. We booked a day bed for $300 and was told beverage and food service would be provided however, that was not the case. Went to the ocean club and was given a dirty cup with dirty water which had me so concerned. Chef also came out and said they were making my chicken again because he felt it was under cooked. Again a little off putting. Our first room had such a loud fridge and freezer the engineers had to come in and unplug it. The resort in general is overly crowded due to being open to the general public. It makes it very hard to enjoy the amenities of the hotel at night. I don’t know if the completion of the remodel caused them to grow too fast with more demand than they are able to keep up with. The service and quality has gone severely down hill. Jay, Alex, and Sandra at the Beach Village listened to my concerns and tried to accommodate anyway they could but to me the Beach Village side was always SUPPOSED to be superior and higher quality when it comes to service and it just didn’t meet my expectations. Nothing to support the $1,000+ a night cost. I had an issue literally everyday the 4 days I was here. It really breaks my heart because the Del use to be so special to me and my family and now I’m not sure I’ll ever return.

We celebrated our honeymoon here and it was tremendous! The personal care was amazing! We were originally booked in a small room but upgraded and it was worth it! We were in a gorgeous one-bedroom with a kitchenette, huge soaking tub, and patio. Our little chihuahua loved it! We listened to the ocean while we slept, ate at Nobu every day, and had the most wonderful time! This was a personal trip but I am going to do a travel article for WHIRL Magazine soon too! This is a special place for everyone! Highly recommend!

Beach Village is amazing! It is beautifully set right on the beach with very comfortable recently updated rooms. You get to enjoy the amenities of Hotel Del but get the privacy of the gated community. We enjoyed the private BV pools with our friends and had plenty of space to gather in the king suite room.

The Beach Village is our favorite place to visit. The staff is very professional and accommodating for children. The room, amenities, and activities are first class. The Beach Village is a short walk from Coronado Island shopping and restaurants. We took bikes to the near by dog park. We felt like family and will return again. An amazing atmosphere for a family vacation.

Disappointing in many ways stay at the Beach Village at The Del. So many mistakes. Most of all taking an additional an unauthorized $2,500 from my account for our stay for 5 nights. Promise i will get back the overcharged amount in 7 business days! What a joke. Having only been given access to our, to be honest expensive room, at 7pm on the first night was ridiculous. Having housekeeping only coming each morning at 8.30 is a joke. Room wasn't made up once in 5 days as we weren't getting up to placate housekeeping. What quality summer holiday hotel sends housekeeping to a room at 8.30 every morning???? By the way the beach is closed for 50% of the year because of pollution. They never tell you this in their promotion if the Del on the Pacific. Parking is a disgrace, minimum $59 a night for guests.

Absolutely love spending time at Beach Village at the Del. The service and quality is excellent and Coronado is the perfect location for a family vacation. The Del has great amenities and the Beach Village offers the most spacious rooms and best atmosphere in the hotel. Can’t wait to come back.
