Beach Village at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

My family and I stayed here Tuesday-Saturday during the month of February. I really, really wanted to love this hotel because of the location and the great experiences I’ve had at other LXR brand hotels. However, the issues we had with our rooms were just too much to overlook. The first night, we opened the sofa bed and the unmistakable smell of vomit immediately filled the room. You could seriously smell it from across the room-it was like someone threw up on the bed, gave it a quick wipe and then closed it back up. I called the front desk and they were nice enough to move us to the room next door. Then the last night we found not one, but two fairly large spiders in our room. This was an absolute dealbreaker for me- if we found 2 spiders in 30 minutes, I’m going to be paranoid all night that there’s more crawling around. And while the bathroom floor is white, the carpet in the bedroom is a dark brown. So we moved rooms again. All in all, I was pretty disappointed. The service was wonderful, the location is great and the hotel is beautiful, but having to move rooms twice in a short trip is not what I would expect from this brand. There were a couple of other issues, not major things, that took away from the “shine” of the hotel. Like the gate to the villas not working (we let the front desk know) and the breakfast buffet was pretty bad- mainly the hot food. (The coffee and pastries were great.) I’m not sure if we’ll come back- it just missed the mark for me, especially as a Diamond member who’s very familiar with the different tiers of Hilton hotels.

A very comfortable stay at Chez Nous Resort Motel Sunshine Beach with all the amenities you would want . Separate bedroom and bathroom , with a fully equipped kitchen and living area. A balcony and a pool in the tropical garden . Within walking distance of a shopping centre, and a bus available for longer distances

My wife and I are celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary and her stage four cancer progress. We were looking for a quiet place on the beach and thrilled we found beach village. For those that travel, you likely have an understanding of pre / post covid service with the later being a steep decline. The standards and care are certainly pre-covid which is extremely refreshing. The front desk was kind and patient during check-in while my bank declined original attempt as I forgot to notify them of a travel alert. Alex has been helpful navigating property and assisting with Amazon delivery. Was looking for an ATM and what is likely a manager of the property walked me right to it. Room service has checked-in multiple times proactively (Waldorf Astoria take note) to ensure we were satisfied and understand any needs. The gentleman at the beach was kind and efficient setting up umbrella and chairs. Only minor gripe is food delivery has struggled finding our room, but not properties fault. We will certainly make this an annual vacation and refreshing to find a hotel with standards and service. Thank you, Beach Village for making this trip memorable. You have all been awesome!

My wife and I (married 27 yrs) have this is our go to place for excellent memory building adventures. We have much by sea and what better place to stay then the Historical Hotel Del. Living in Arizona makes for a quick drive or a short airline jump to San Diego So fortunate to catch the jets landing while doing morning coffee. This is a very special place for our family. We have been staying at the beach village for years now several times each year. We have stayed in a variety of the homes but prefer those with a full kitchen for our kids who have celiac disease.- makes food prep awesome. The kitchen is always well appointed. The furnishings are great and almost feel like home with very high quality bedding and seating. We love the privacy away from our very busy public life and the staff goes out of the way to maintain your absolute privacy. We begin and end most days there as a family roasting marshmallows outside on the patio with blankets and fun times! Dwayne is an absolute friend to me and our family now here but works on valet and just about anything you need! Such friendly people! This last time we met concierge Alwx who is a superstar! She’s bright and friendly. She went out of her way to help my daughter access and print some materials for her home school work while we were on an extended vacation. Alex is so impressive- a talented and diligent young lady and very much in line with the expertise and talent we have come to know here. The gym is fantastic! Everything from an attack bike to full kb to boxes for plyo workouts. Trx bands available. Heaven! We intend to continue to build memories here. My children started coming with us about 13 years ago and it’s now a second home for us and the staff is consistent and know us on a first name basis. This is rare and priceless these days. You have to experience this beauty and comfort with the friendliest most talented staff I’ve ever seen in a hospitality setting!

Rooms were lovely and staff was nice. Girl that checked us in was friendly, however new and not knowledgeable and we were given incorrect information . Beach front villages do see a lot of private parties outside so be prepared for late night noise. The beach was closed for swimming due to “sewage and bacteria” so be sure to check before going. The main hotel is a complete construction sight with noise, scaffolding, and an unfortunate eye sore including portopotties.. The food at restaurants was above average and they did offer free light bites which we were never told about at check in or by any of our wait staff (I’m sure it hurts their tips). Two bottles of water in the general store was $16 and I purchased the least expensive. I think with construction, outside parties, and beach closures there would have been some better attention and offerings. Also, the light outside our door, shown brightly all night long so our room was lit while sleeping. Nothing we could do to turn it off. Pros, the hotel was not full due to construction so we didn’t have any issues waiting for tables, there was plenty of room at the pools and gym, and our room was updated and beautifully decorated.

The beautiful landscape (with mini pools and separate jacuzzis, Alex (the supervisor) was exceptional, and the room was superb! I enjoyed every minute of my stay!

My wife and I just stayed at the Beach Village last week for a quick two night stay. Everyone was kind, helpfull and smiling. The exclusive cottage that serves all three meals was amazing. The views were spectacular.
