Beachfront Bicheno Hotel

We recently spent a night at Beachfront Bicheno and found this to be a good property in Bicheno. Reservation was made through booking.com a couple nights before our stay. Check-in was quick, we had key and were making way to our room in just a few minutes. There is plenty of parking available in front of all rooms. There is a tavern, bistro, pool and laundry service available. Our room was spacious, bed fairly comfortable. Bathroom good size, fixtures worked well including good shower water pressure. Basic furniture including a table, telly, kettle with tea & coffee sachets. Wifi was ok during our stay, heater worked fine and there are plenty out electrical outlets for charging. The property is walking distance to a handful of cafes, eateries and an IGA as well. On the whole, we found Beachfront Bicheno fit for purpose. Room rates were a bit high but location is convenient and room is generally comfortable so its fine for a night or two if looking for places around Bicheno.

Called in there on a Sunday afternoon..got a very high price of $250. For a very average room.. got a two bedroom cabin within 100 metres away for $150. ... when you get on line the same little room is $125.. it pays to look around.. if she was looking after my investment I know what I would do.. 😏

I booked and prepaid for accommodation. On arrival staff insisted on the need to preaproved credit card swipe, I explained my card had been cancelled due to fraudulent transaction, and I didn't have any other card. Staff would not release room until I provided credit card. I request staff find someone in management to sort it out. We were then given a room that was not suitable for our needs as we had an elderly lady travelling. Very disappointing 😞

Don't be fooled by the glossy pictures on their website. You are situated on a main road m, next to a Pub. Book a Seaview room if possible, the other options are below 2 stars. Cheap renos have been done, but carpet has seen better days. Room OK, paper thin walls, uncomfortable rock hard beds and the TV from the next room blaring all night did not make a comfy stay. If you want privacy and a good night's sleep, stay in an AIRBNB. Its a cheap nights stay.

Had a great stay at the Beachfront Bicheno on the weekend. Lovely clean Seaview room. Easy car access Motel style right outside your door. Bed was comfotable and so were the 2 pillows as I am very fussy. Bathrooms were modern and shower was big with great water pressure. Mini fridge with milk upllied and tea and coffee. No issue with the TV and also powerpoints beside the bed. Heat pump/Air con. Small sofa and outside table chairs. I thought being on the main road it might be noisy but we didn't hear a thing. 2 minute walk to the cafes in town and we had dinner at the attached Pub one night that was good and reasonable priced. If I come back to Bicheno I will definitely stay here for the night as I thought the cost was very reasonable.

We had a decent stay here at Beachfront Bicheno Hotel. You can park with your car right in front of the room, which is very convenient on your road trip. The staff is friendly and the room was surprisingly modern with a big tv available. Recommended!

Arrived at reception at 1.30 pm to be told the room was not ready and I would be phoned close to 2.00 pm.|Went back at 2.45 pm to find the room was still not ready after no phone call.|Then provided with an alternative room. This surely could have happened at 1.30 pm.|Cold overnight conditions and no electric blanket. No toilet brush. No spare blanket. My beef burger was not enjoyable - the meat was burned and unable to be easily cut. The quality of the fries was obviously “seconds” . No breakfasts were available - try the bakery along the street. Not impressed. I would be hard pressed to recommend Beachfront to family and friends.|The operation of the resort seems to be managed as individual business units and not by overall efficient supervision.

After arriving very late to Bicheno, we were surprised to get a very cleaned, comfy room with a beautiful view. The after hours service was extremely helpful and always responsive to emails. We had one of the best night's sleep in Tasmania. Excellent location as well. Highly recommended.

The only hotel in Bicheno so the prices are a little steep for a pub. However the meals are a good size and reflect the nature of the village. The seafood chowder was very filling with a great deal of seafood items... no pretend crab meat mixture. There is plenty of room in the dining room and there is the capability of having a large group meet there for lunch or dinner. There is enclosed outside seating as well. The hotel overlooks the quiet beach and the sandstone rocks. There is a nice atmosphere here. The barmaid was most helpful and had a lovely sense of humour.

If I could give 0 starts I would! Terrible customer service. We ordered and paid for our wine and meals and were then told they didn't have either. The meal I wanted instead was $2 more and they refused to let me pay the price of the original meal that I had ordered and paid for. The server was so aggressive and rude to us about it as well, turns out she was the manager even though she told us there was no manager on site. I'm a local, I will never come back. I work in an industry where people ask where to eat in bicheno, I will happily tell visitors to never come here.
