Sunset Dinner Beside The Waves :
It was a lovely evening, as our uber driver, drove Beau & I, through busy lanes, to bring us here. As he drove, I asked where we would be able to see the setting sun, & he mentioned, we'd be able to see it, where he was taking us.. It was nearing sundown already, when he dropped us off! His last words: Now you can see the sunset, you guys have fun !!
Thus,,how eagerly, we ascended the stairs, stepping into white palatial quarters!! But immediately, we found ourselves lost, searching high & low for our venue! After much asking, walking & persistence, our party, was finally found!
At once, our frustration ended, upon seeing the views, of: Waikiki Beach, & The Waters of Paradise, Stretching Past White Pillars!! Hence, here we stood transfixed, staring at the spectacle, of the setting sun, above the endless expanse of ocean, the sky, set ablaze in pink & gold tones!! Tall coconut trees framed the scene, swaying in this tropical dream...
Indeed, Tropical Beauty held sway, as many stood by, posing for pictures, against the backdrop of The Pacific Ocean! Below us, was a courtyard, & in its center, grew A Gargantuan Banyan Tree, bejeweled in purple faerie lights!! Yes, in this tropical enchantment, we dallied, watching the sunset, as drinks were offered, by attentive servers. Then, as the blue of dusk, descended & deepened, we went inside, to be seated for dinner..
After the breathtaking views, a decent dinner followed, elegant in presentation, of: rolls & butter; a salad of bitter greens; entrees of chicken & fish; followed by pineapple upside down cake, for dessert..Our dinner companions agreed, the rolls had seemed a tad too hard, whilst the cake had seemed a bit too dry..However, my confit snapper, seemed fresh, moist, & just right. Overall, service too, seemed nice.
But no match, was the food, compared to the sweeping views outside!! The panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, surely being, the resort's longstanding pride!! But beautiful in her own right, is the turn of the century, Victorian structure, known as: The First Lady of Waikiki.
How perfectly, her pristine whiteness, offsets the blue oceanic sweeps beyond!! Simply breathtaking, is the restaurant & resort, in every way!!! So overjoyed we came!!! As Our Sunset Dinner, Was A Dream, Beside The Waves...
