Beachside by the Bay Waterfront Suites

This lovely apartment is beautifully decorated and it has an amazing view of the water and gorgeous sunsets from the deck. This place is super relaxing. Before arriving, I had made reservations for two different nights out for dinner. We cancelled them. Why leave paradise? Lovely bathroom; well appointed kitchen; comfy tasteful furniture. (I loved the cozy little reading nook in the dining room.) Ian and Linda are marvelous hosts. This is a very special place taken care of with love. We will definitely return.

We stayed on this apartment for 6 nights. The owners are very friendly and happy to help in any way. The apartment is situated up a very steep path which you have to climb daily for access to parking or the beach. So if you have any mobility issues this may be an issue. The apartment although quite dated is comfortable and has most amenities you would need. The bonus of the hot tub was great. I expect the views were amazing never really got to see because of smog from 🔥 fires.

Loved this place! The Grande Vista Suite is open concept, very spacious and airy with a wall of windows opening up to a balcony and spectacular views of Georgia Strait, the boats going by, beautiful sunsets, and the twinkling lights of Vancouver Island. The very comfortable bed faces these windows and I loved waking up there in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped and furniture is stylish and comfy. We wanted for nothing. The lower suite, Ocean Vista, is also really nice, a bit smaller with a little bedroom separated from the main living space and a large covered deck.The deck down by the water is huge with lots of seating, and accessed by a long flight of stairs. Davis Bay and Sechelt are both very close for dinners out and whatever else you may need. We didn't meet Linda, but loved chatting with Ian - such a great guy. Would definitely return.

I stayed at the Beachside in June with my daughter for a weekend. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The facilities were perfect and the views stunning. We enjoyed the new hot tub and deck. The beach access was perfect for swimming and launching our paddle board. Our hosts, Linda and Ian were extremely friendly and helpful. Ian even carried our paddle board down to the beach and again back up for us! Linda and Ian were quick to respond to any request or inquiry we had.I highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a magical getaway.

We have been visiting Beachside by the Bay for years. Ian and Linda have created a beautiful atmosphere for visitors and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure every visit is special. You can't beat the view of the water, with Nanaimo across the Straight. The hot tub has the best view of any hot tub I have ever enjoyed. The suite is clean, modern, and has everything you could ask for in a vacation rental. I'm sure we will be back many times in the future.

Beautiful location with stunning views! Easy access to everything and super quiet! Spacious suite and super clean! Great amenities such as a steam shower which we used daily! BBQ steps away… and then the Jacuzzi; which is shared with 2 other suites but it was never been an issue even though we used it multiple times a day!| |The owner met us upon check-in and walked us through making sure we knew everything there is to know about the property. Also provided tips about things do/see around.| |Simply amazing to have a huge deck right off your suite, plus a deck by the Jacuzzi steps from your suite and then a beach deck (access via multiple stairs); we spent our entire time outside and felt like we were in a 5 star resorts.| |If you are thinking to book this suite – we stayed in the Ocean Vista - … stop thinking and book it. We have peaked into the other 2 suites and they are also beautiful.| |We stay 5 nights and enjoy every minutes. I have been in customer service all my life. I found Ian and his wife Linda to be so sincerely caring for their guests. They really want your stay to be special and it was. The views were amazing. We sat on our patio and could enjoy seeing the sunset at night. If you needed anything, Linda and Ian were available for you. When we arrived Ian showed us where everything was. I loved going down to their private beach in the morning. It was so quiet there. I had pleasure of seeing a seal poke his head up and welcome me. Ian and Linda also knew where things were in town in case you were shopping. I found that helpful. There are some delicious take out restaurants in Sechelt and Gibsons. We live in a world with noise pollution and I found this place so relaxing to get away from the big city life. It is so quiet there. I think they are both such lovely people and it was a pleasure to meet them and to stay at their place. When we left to come home, we took a look at the upper cabin and that had a big beautiful view of the ocean that I had never seen before. Thank you Ian and Linda. 😊 Dena

We enjoyed tremendously our 5 night stay at the Beachside. Our suite featured sweeping windows overlooking the Georgia St and all the way to Vancouver Island. We saw Orcas and bald eagles from our living room. The kitchen was very well equipped. The location is very central for exploring all of the Sunshine Coast. The only negative is that turning left onto Hwy 101 can be challenging given the volume of traffic, but just be patient. We had a wonderful experience and would love to come back.
