Adrianne and Randy were the most wonderful hosts. So welcoming, and so helpful and responsive to answering our questions, and making sure that our stay was perfect. Our suite, the Penthouse Honeymoon, exceeded all our expectations. Exceptionally comfortable and quiet, with so many thoughtful details and touches,  and the most fabulous shower and jacuzzi bathtub to revitalise after a day spent in the Alaskan outdoors. The view from our balcony was simply spectacular. What could be more exhilarating than to breathe in the intoxicating Alaskan air,  and to look across the river at the stunning snow capped mountains, towering above the friendly city of Juneau. And one final piece of magic. We were fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights in all their breathtaking splendour. If you're planning a visit to Juneau then Beachside Villa is absolutely the place to stay. We will certainly return.

My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time! Beachside villa is the best place in Juneau!! The penthouse is worth every penny. All you need are the clothes on your back, they even provide the toothbrush. They have water and snacks in the fridge, as well as coffee and tea. The view from the spa tub and the French door at the foot of the bed will make you never want to leave! After much searching online for the perfect room for our honeymoon we landed on beachside villa and as soon as we walked in we knew we made the right decision. Not only did we have a view from the spa tub but also there is a window in the shower with his and hers shower heads. If you are looking for the perfect romantic getaway beachside villa is the place. It didn’t take us long exploring the town either to realize we had the best room with the best view!

Based on the reviews on Google, I had pretty high hopes for this place. It’s advertised as a beachside villa luxury inn and I imagined something very much like a bed and breakfast or other inns I previously stayed at. I was pretty surprised to find out that this place runs like any other airbnb. You have a code to get in, no one comes and cleans the rooms, and you’ll likely not see anyone else while you are there. I tried contacting the owners because I needed a mini fridge with a freezer that they said they would put in but when I got there it had not been installed but no one responded to my attempts. The room itself was incredibly run down and had not been fully cleaned. I expected some level of luxury as that’s right in the name of the location but it was frankly a very dated and not well kept room. There was no breakfast included just a few snacks for the week we were there. The shower curtain had mold in it and there was dust on everything. The microwave and the fridge were dirty and there were stains all over the carpet. The bottom of the shower was cracked and fixed with tape and the jacuzzi tub just did not look clean. This place just looked like it needed some tlc and professional cleaning. What was frustrating is that nothing in the room worked. Many of the outlets didn’t work, the Roku in the room didn’t work and the wifi kept cutting out. We looked at other Airbnb’s in the area and didn’t realize we could’ve gotten a whole house for the same price. For the price and if I had known it was just an Airbnb I would have just done that. Lastly, and a good thing for others to know is that if someone is staying next door to you or possibly the owners who reside there, it is incredibly loud. We heard banging and a woman singing which made relaxing a bit difficult. On a positive the view is beautiful and we did enjoy looking at that while we were there.

We stayed in one of the villa king rooms (the smallest type of room offered) for 5 nights. It was cute, clean, private, quiet and the innkeeper was so thoughtful when stocking and designing the room despite the smaller space. There was a small cooler, bug spray, umbrellas, a fan (which we did need at night as we were there the warmest week of the year in Juneau), scrabble, dominos, cards and plenty of hangers in the closet. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of toiletry items and towels including extra in the bathroom drawers. The towels were so soft and fluffy as well. A small table and chairs were useful for eating and playing scrabble during rainy evenings. The little kitchenette nook had a Keurig with k-cups, tea, sugar/sweetener, basic dish washing supplies, and small snacks (granola bars, oatmeal packets, trail mix, even a bag of microwave popcorn), with extra snacks in the kitchenette cabinet, along with a microwave, toaster, sandwich bags and cups. The kitchenette drawer has the dishes, cutlery, wine opener, etc. A mini fridge with small freezer compartment was stocked with a couple bottles of water, a couple seltzer drinks, a small ready to eat snack tray of cheese and salami, and even a small container of blueberries and yogurt.|As noted on the inn website there are fairly steep stairs to get to the rooms and down to the lawn. We did not have any issues with them, but I do not recommend for anyone that cannot do the stairs.|We enjoyed fair weather evenings out on the lawn sipping wine, watching the seaplanes, eagles, and even caught a glimpse of some harbor seals.|I will say that this is likely one of the nicest non-Airbnb accommodations in Juneau and I do highly recommend it. I would stay here again 100%.

Had a really lovely stay off season and absolutely fell in love with Juneau. The room was great, and that view is hard to beat. The hosts were wonderful, the room was great. I wish we had booked one of the rooms with a big bathtub, but that's just something to look forward to on our next trip up.

Beachside Villa Luxery Inn was a wonderful place to stay located on Douglas Island just across the channel from Juneau. We booked the Villa Suite Deluxe which was huge, comfortable, very clean, and had the best shower of all the places we stayed in Alaska. Also loved the washer and dryer since we were in the middle of our trip and needed clean clothes. Susan the innkeeper was just the nicest person and very helpful pre and during our stay. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast. You chose what you wanted from a menu the day before and all the items were placed in your refrigerator for the next morning. Nice selection too. Juneau is a busy town with lots of tourists, so it was very nice to escape to our lovely villa. We would highly recommend staying at Beachside Villa Luxury Inn.

I booked this room for a trip in 2020, but was unable to go on my vacation because of the pandemic. Adrianne and Randy were so kind to honor the booking I made with the inn's previous owner. They were also helpful to touch base with me a few days before check in, and to suggest some sights and restaurants for my time in Juneau. The room was phenomenal! I don't know why it is listed as a 3-star hotel, because it should certainly be higher. The bed was one of the best I've ever slept on, and the whirlpool tub was huge and relaxing. The "fireplaces" were electric heaters, but there were aesthetically pleasing and provided a lot of warmth. I loved the stocked kitchenette, the towel warmer, and the great robes. And that view was the best I've ever had from a hotel. I loved the privacy of the Beachside Villa. It was quiet, and the only sounds I ever heard were some soft footsteps and the bathtub filling in the next room. I'd like to return to Juneau at least once more for a summer visit, and I'll be coming back to the Beachside Villa when I do.

My husband and I stayed at this picturesque guest house for several days during Juneau’s off season, meaning few tourists. Our host was delightful and provided everything we needed for our stay. Our room with terrace overlooked the water, the city center of Juneau, and the snow caped mountains in the distance. Using binoculars, one could see eagles. One morning, I saw our host readying her raised garden boxes, located between the house and the beach, for planting and I offered my help. What a lovely memory. If you are looking to experience Alaska, this is a lovely spot to stay.

Yelp
Overprice dungeon You walk in the tile is broken. The double leather recliner couch is all cracked and doesn't worker! The breakfast delivered each day was a "Costco" special even thou we filled out the form we did not receive one on our last day! The robes were thin worn out. The shower was a small RV like stall in a bathroom barely big enough for one person. The room had two small windows with the view of a falling down broken glass 1930 hanger on a metal litter beach. The place was not luxury just the price not the value !

Yelp
This was a lovely stay -- we truly enjoyed it. Susan is such a warm and gracious host! Not only were the accommodations perfectly equipped with everything from a fireplace, to wine, to even makeup remover wipes, but we also loved having the expertise of a local help book our activities (Tracy Arm Fjords and Dog Sledding). Vacation is a state of mind and it was so nice to arrive and receive a little folder with all the information of our itinerary planned out for us. Also, this was a great location -- about a 15 minute walk over the bridge into the main part of town where all activities and restaurants are. We would highly recommend this cozy spot!

Yelp
Loved the Beachside Villa Luxury Inn !!! Was charming, cute and comfortable. Beautiful view from our room... Easy access to town and actives. Romantic hot-tub with candles and wine. Susan the inn keeper was so friendly and helpful. So much more than we expected... We will stay here again on our next visit to Juneau.

Yelp
We went to Juneau for a romantic and adventure filled escape. We wanted to participate in some wildlife and scenery excursions without having to carry a pack 20 miles out into the wilderness. We choose Beachside Villa because of it's great location and awesome views. Our room, the penthouse, had a private porch, which I love for being outside with a glass of wine in the evening. It also had this fabulous tub which 2 people can get in, so that was fun! The tub ended up being a real blessing because we were doing so much every day that we needed to soak sore muscles! There was also lots of nice hot beverages in the room.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for our Anniversary! It was extremely romantic! The rooms are very clean and the beds were amazing. The jacuzzi tub set the right mood. We will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed in the Grand Suit the last 3 days of our 7 days-Juneau trip. It was a relaxing way to finish our vacation. The Inn is on Douglas island and on a beautiful stony beach. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom has a jacuzzi and a walkin closet. The sofa-bed in the living room is fairly uncomfortable but Susan the inn-keeper told us that prior to our booking the room so it wasnt a suprise. The Grand Suit also has a kitchen (stove and oven) and a eating area with lots of plates, bowls, cups, utensils, pots, and pans. It is nice to be able to wip up dinner when we were tired of restaurant food. The bathroom has a shower and a washer and dryer. That helped us reduce our luggage size by almost a half (we were able to pack everything for a family of 4 in 1 carry-on and 2 small backpacks) beacuse we only had to pack 3 sets of clothing for each of us. This was a huge help as we were traveling with 2 yound children and didnt want to have to lug a lot of stuff with us. You may need to buy your own detergent though because it is not supplied by the Inn. The location of the Inn is close to downtown Juneau (about 20 min walk). There's a corner store close to the Inn that has a good selection of beer and wine. There's a grocery store located across the bridge in downtown Juneau which is easy to get to. It's about a $6 taxi-ride if you dont have a car. We opted to travel by taxi throughout our trip and it turned out to be cheaper than renting a car. Taxi ride to Mendenhall glacier from the Inn is about $40 but you could also take a bus that costs $10 per adult. The bus runs every 30min so it is very convenient and fast since it doenst make any stops between Mendenhall glacier and downtown. Taxi ride to downtown from the Inn is between $6-$10. Taxi ride to the airport is about $30. We took a Taxi from the Inn to Auke Bay for a whale watching tour and that cost about $40. However, we hitched a ride back to downtown with a tour group bus for free (these are tour groups from the cruise ship and they dont care if you hitch a ride as long as there's space) then walked back to the Inn (~20min walk). Tracy Arm and other tours and restaurants are all located downtown and we had no problem walking there from the Inn with 2 young children. When we got tired, we took a taxi back with not much trouble. Beacuse we planned our trip last minute, we did not have a lot of accomodation options. Our first 2 nights were spent in Beachside Villa's Villa Suite room, 2 nights in a hotel in downtown Juneau, and last 3 nights in Beachside Villa's Grand Suite room. We definitely love the Inn for all of the reasons listed above. The Inn was cleaner and a lot more room to hang out than the Hotel. On lazy days, we could take our time getting ready and have the kids run around on the property or we could take a short walk on the beach or eat our meal on the lawn looking at the mountains and bay and still feel like we are on vacation (its beautiful there) without having to go on excursions. The room look out to the beach and mountain. The beach has a lot of mussels, hermit crabs, and pretty rocks for the kids to look at and play with. We also saw bald eagles from our room. We didnt get a chance to explore Douglas Island where the Inn is located but we heard there're lots a good trails to hike. Susan is very helpful and could help you book tours and call for taxi if you like although we booked all of our excursions on our own (only because we like doing it ourselves). All in all, we would recommend Beachside Villa. We had a wonderful, fun-filled, and relaxing vacation.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Inn three different times on my visit's to Juneau. I would recommend! Location is perfect, walking distance to the downtown locations or bus routes. Has a nice rocky beach location that the Inn keeper will let you have a fire on. (Bald Eagles frequent the beach) If you are an outdoor person this is the place you want your HQ to be at. A great place to relax after a day of outdoor activities. Very quiet although there were other quests I never heard them. Rooms are clean, upscale and cozy, I feel like I'm home when I stay there. Not a corporate owned accommodation, support the locals... I will stay there again, in fact I recommended it to both my young daughters whom stayed there and loved their visit.

Yelp
The word 'Luxury" may be different in Alaska. Our Villa Suite room was actually a renovated crawl space in the basement, with 6'5" high ceilings, and chopped up spaces. Luxury in room accessories either from Walmart or Costco. Very spotty wi-fi access. A great location for a short walk to town.

Yelp
Picture your great aunt Mae running an inn. The same aesthetic, taste and smell including polyester bedding, an exposed water heater in the bathroom, bleach stained mismatched towels, funky smell in closets and kitchen area. The lower level units are actually enclosed storage parts of a house built into the slope of the hill. The ceilings are therefore uncomfortably low. There is poor ventilation, hence the moldy smell, and every time someone walks, flushes or showers on the floors above you, you are informed. I am told that the claim of "luxury" is valid here because of the advertised "jacuzzi" tub. Well it didn't work and the hot water runs out before you can fill it anyway. I have never written a review before, but wanted to warn anyone who was attracted to this place because of the luxury label. It absolutely does not apply.
