The Best Hudson Valley Holiday Craft Fairs | Condé Nast Traveler

"I rely on the Beacon Flea Market as a stalwart that colors fair-weather Sundays throughout the year, offering the kind of brocante-style browsing where you can sniff out dusty wares and run your hands over crisp linens." - Jessica Sulima

Google
Awesome Sundays in this crowded flea market with great buys. Met some great vendors who enjoyed negotiating prices. Everything for everyone here.

Google
It's an amazing place for vintage lovers. Prices are just great and you can find tons of nice jewelry, vintage dresses, arts.

Laszlo M.

Google
First Off! Its in a Blacktop Parking Lot! Costume Jewelry and Junk is King. A Couple of Good Booths sprinkled among them. I did find a couple of good buys. They could use a Food Vendor and Drink vendor.

Janice G.

Google
This is small but has some interesting vendors. It is also an easy walk to the farmers market which is a great market.

Frank G.

Google
Sad, lots of junk nothing worth a 15 drive, same excuse, I don’t have change can you pick up a few more things as prices increase

Debra W.

Google
Have been participating as a vendor. Very pleasant flea market, great place to be as far as easy access, not over crowded but enough that it's well worth going to shop or sell. Every Sunday depending on weather. Highly recommend 😊

Google
Great flea market in downtown Beacon! There are always reasonable priced treasures and vintage items to be found!

Yelp
As a visitor to Beacon, New York, O was happy to find this small flea/farmer's market off the main street. Found New York Textile Lab's kiosk there. Bought a beautiful organic cotton, wool, and alpaca hoodie for travel to Japan in October! Also found cotton /wool blend socks for the same upcoming trip! Woo hoo! Scored! There was also a long line for ??? So we queued up to see why... By the time we got to the front of the line, the display cases were mostly empty of baked goods (it was a bakery kiosk!) but we shared one (1) chocolate pretzel croissant. Didn't look impressive, but looks can be deceiving! Wow! What a delicious, flavorful chocolate croissant, crispy on the outside and an explosion of chocolate in the moist interior! We should have bought more! Overall a great flea/farmers' market! Try it!

Yelp
On a pleasant Sunday afternoon it's relaxing to wander past the assorted tables filled with a plethora of odds and ends. There are stacks of 33.3 rpm vinyl records; maybe you'll find something. It's ironic that most people got rid of them when it was almost impossible to find phonograph needles several decades ago. Remember Walk-man's MP-3's? Where are they now?! Stalls of clothing, semi-antiques, jewelry, old magazines and toys. There are some things that make you wonder; like old black and white, family photos in albums. Who were these people and how did they end up a flea market? There's no captions. Such as; uncle So & So at cousin X's wedding, or our first new car. It's a little sad.

Yelp
Don't bother. Very small, mostly used clothes. At some of the tables the "proprietor" doesn't even look up.

Yelp
Always a fun time either selling or buying at The Beacon Flea. A great vintage mix for every taste.

Yelp
Awesome flea market in beautiful Beacon. You can find whatever you didn't know you needed or wanted here, including fresh farm goods.

Yelp
Just another Two star flea market. It's literally in a schools parking lot. I went there today, it said it was open on their website, but it was closed.... Lastly, it's just a ton of garbage there it seems. Save yourself the time and go to elephants trunk.

Yelp
I've heard about the Beacon Flea for years, so I was super excited to check it out on a Sunday morning. I have to say, the flea itself seemed pretty standard to me. There was a lot of variety in what was being sold, though, and I'm sure with a bit of patience, there are many treasures to be found and bargained for. It was neat to see not only older, used items but also newly-crafted things to buy, as well. There was one vendor selling records on this given day, as well. I actually found the market perpendicular to the flea, which had more farmers market type stands a bit more enticing, with honeys, wool, meat, whiskey, and produce - all from local vendors. The two parts together made for a fun and interesting morning.

Theresa B.

Yelp
I was not impressed at all. Mostly junk and some vendors were not willing to bargain. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Surprisingly smaller than I had expected or read about, and definitely felt more like going to multiple garage sales vs. a true flea market. Took less than 5 mins to walk around, and had more fun checking out the farmers market next door.

Richard B.

Yelp
Great flea market in the heart of downtown Beacon. Shop the market then stroll the shops and restaurants along the street! The prices and range of goodies at the flea market are reasonable and not overpriced. A fun treasure hunt!

Karen S.

Yelp
Read great reviews online so drove an hour this past weekend to check out the fleamarket and was extremely disappointing as we passed up going to Elephant's Trunk flea market and instead went to Beacon. There was nothing but trash for sale at every single table. Though the town was super cute the flea market was an awful disappointment. Completely confused by the good reviews.

Diane T.

Yelp
Such a fun market! you never know what treasures you'll find. The nicest vendors and plenty of easy parking! I will definitely go back over and over!

Yelp
This flea was...OKAY. For as much as I saw it advertised in various towns nearby, I'm surprised that it wasn't bigger. If you're looking for furniture, I doubt you'll find it here. There were a lot of chairs, but few, if any other pieces. Also, since the website doesn't do a good job of advertising it, this is open on Sundays, not Saturdays. Thank you to yelp for advertising this correctly!

Yelp
I have been a vendor at Beacon Flea for the last 2 months selling handmade and vintage jewelry and love it. Anthony and Emma run a great flea. They are so laid back and welcoming and the fee is totally reasonable. Eventhough the flea isn't so big there is a great variety of interesting stuff, vintage and handmade, and a great mix of people. Met some really awesome people there, vendors as well as customers! There is always a steady flow of shoppers but it never gets crowded. Many regulars as well as newbies looking for something different. Have to force myself to stay in the both so I don't spend all my profits! Whether you are a vendor or just a shopper, check out Beacon Flea! You will not be dissappointed!

Yelp
worst flea market in the world. they act like they are doing you a favor ... NO ONE NEEDS to go to flea market,, we are are just spending extra money that can be better spent @ a good italian restaurant instead of schlepping though these entitled vendor spaces

Yelp
This is a great little flea market, right in the heart of Beacon. A great way to spend a Sunday, as a vendor or a shopper! Great places to eat just a walk away! They only allow vendors with true vintage or antique items, no sunglasses or handbag knock-offs allowed! Prices are fair, and most vendors will wheel and deal!

Yelp
I love the Beacon Flea Market! I always find interesting things, and it's a great way to spend a Sunday morning!

Yelp
Quaint. 25 stalls. Mix of antiques and junk. Friendly vibe, but not reason enough to travel here from far away.

Yelp
Really fun to check out. You never know what you'll find and the prices are what you want to see at a flea market (I got the greatest little glass tray for $5 bucks). Love checking this place out after grabbing breakfast at the Yankee Clipper. Most vendors are friendly, always a plus.

Yelp
The Beacon Flea Market gets better every year. I've never left empty-handed, and Emma does an amazing job of balancing the types of vendors and the kinds of things for sale. It's become part of what makes Beacon such a thriving community, and I highly recommend it.

Sandy R.

Yelp
Great place to be a vendor as well as love to shop to find great treasures. I can bring a variety of things to sell such as vintage costume jewelry, embroidered linens, metal trays and wooden bowls and of course a great selection on LP's and 45 rpms rock and roll, soul, jazz etc and know there will always be people around to look and buy. People are friendly and everyone goes away with a great deal and happy!
