Yelp
This is a small hotel in a converted building (once was Knights of Columbus). Furnishings appeared nearly new, facilities were clean and well maintained. There is a pleasant lobby area with large TV, coffee and tea (no coffee maker in room). The night clerk allowed us to use the washer and dryer in the basement, at no charge. But we were disappointed to find that our room was smaller than what appeared in the photo on Booking.com. Our reservation confirmation promised a "Queen Room" with fireplace, work desk, and seating area. There was no fireplace, and no "seating area" other than the chair at the desk. Half of the desk space was taken by a microwave oven. There was barely enough floor space to walk around the bed. That bed was festooned with 5 very large decorative throw pillows, but there was no place to put them when we wanted to sleep. We left them at the front desk. This was a very crowded room for two adults. When I mentioned this discrepancy to the night manager, her reaction was "sorry, we can't guarantee which room that you get", and blamed Booking.com for misleading us.
