The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a delivery service that made transporting our purchases seamless. I have gotten alot of furniture from here to furnish my place. There are some good finds here very reasonable prices. On Sundays you get extra discounts. You will not be disappointed and the guys really help you out with what you looking for. Be sure to donate it really helps. Love going here to see the new finds every week.

Me and best friend ended up going to this place Sunday after going to this coffee place and we loved the store, the guys were so nice and attentive, all of them, they have a very great furniture selection and some other goodies and very good prices, lm from LA , but 25 miles drive is totally worth it .

Very friendly helpful place! Their prices are amazing and good quality furniture. We have 3 dogs so we went through a couple of sofas and every time we find amazing deals.

I loved the atmosphere! Right at the moment I entered the store, I could already feel a positive energy with me. I love finding little treasures and ones that I can use. I have enough clothes so I enjoyed looking at all the tickets and things they have such as the items for the home and kitchen. They even have couches and chairs that are very clean and seem to be in great condition. Everything was at a fair price and worth it. They were very descent to wrap up my ceramic pumpkin to protect it. My husband and son enjoyed looking around at tools and things and the bikes too and my husband found a very nice one which was very pricey; however, it was really worth it because he looked up the bike and discovered the value. He is very happy with it. The employees are very clean, polite and respectful and they help and explain the specials for the colored tags and the weekend special which is awesome. I will be returning soon and I look forward to.

I have very rarely written reviews on Yelp...maybe once or twice. I'm mostly writing now to commend the guys that work at Beacon House. I say, without exaggeration, that the level of customer service and general friendliness you will find while shopping here exceeds most, if not all, major department stores and other retail establishments by a long shot. I'm actually always kind of amazed. Bravo. I've had people there call me by name on more than one occasion. (OK, maybe I'm popping in too much...) Just can't say enough about the great guys that work here in Long Beach and at the San Pedro store. Golden. As a store... I'm obsessed. Reminds me of what thrift stores used to be before they all decided they were actually precious antique/collectible/Ebay stores. Everything here is either on sale every day or soon will be. The prices start out very reasonably and just go down from there. Can't imagine why anyone is complaining about the prices. I don't really want more people going there because I'm a greedy little scavenger, but considering the store's mission...I gotta give it up. Happy shopping...

Beacon House is this very large thrift store. Walking into it, you're immediately amazed at just how large it is and how much stuff they offer. Truly, they really have a lot of stuff! This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. So, if you're one of those people that enjoy going to thrift shops, seeking out antiques, vintage items, discarded items that nobody really cared about, or pretty much anything else, this is a great place to go. Of all the thrift stores in the area, this is definitely one of the best.

I went to the Beacon House Thrift Shop this past weekend! I read the reviews and was sold! I don't normally thrift shop but for some reason I was in the mood. My first instict was that this location would have something that I would like to purchase. I was correct! My older sister, was like look there is a butter dish. It was new and at a relatively good price. I could not say no to not buying it. She then checked the price on this item through Amazon and all I can say is that I scored! This made me want to go out and shop at thrift stores more often. The cashier if I'm not mistaken (Amanda) is really helpful and sweet. She made sure that the two girls before us had help taking their heavy bags out. It's the small things that make a big difference. I would so come again!

This thrift shop has a bit of everything, and they take almost anything for donation. We have found various items here from designer bags, clothes, used kitchen ware, games, and more! The staff is super friendly and always available to help. Plus their monthly news letters inform you on people or staff they are currently helping. Truly a great thrift store to check out!

Absolute gem of a thrift shop. Large floor space. Relatively clean and organized. Friendly and helpful staff. Clothes and shoes are great, but the furniture and household items is where this place shines. Take your time and there are good deals to be found. Update on review because I'm honestly disappointed! This was my favorite store and I used to come here at least once a week. Now I go maybe 1 time every 4 -5 months . Prices have gone up by a lot! This is a thrift store and items are being sold as if the items you're buying are new. I'm disappointed honestly. I get texts from the store saying they miss me because I haven't shopped here in a long time. Well now you know! Bring down the prices and maybe I'll return. Otherwise I'm good!

I'm not well versed in the art of thrifting but I have to say that I was so impressed with this thrift store and will return to it anytime I need to meet my thrifting needs. My guy and I were in search of a new coffee table that we could also use as a dinner table to place at his studio, this was the first shop we stopped by and we were sold as soon as we got to the furniture section. We found a nice table, right a way, and it was only 25 bucks! We interacted with about 3 different employees but one definitely stands out. I wish I remembered his name but he had the greatest smile and coolest tattoo and was super friendly and helpful. I don't know if I'll ever identify as a thrifter but if I do, it'll be because of this store.

This place is cool. You need to know prices tho, cause some things are priced high (ashtrays were $6.99, almost as good as brand new ones and I come to places like this to save money). Same with some of the female clothing, could go to Marshalls and get brand new for a few bucks. The staff members are very nice, polite, professional and very helpful. Beacon House Thrift is a unique secondhand store in Long Beach. They have clothing, household goods, electronics, furniture, etc. They have daily discounts but some of their items seem to be priced on the higher end. However, I've been here twice now and have found something i've really liked both times. Also, the staff is always so nice and helpful. If you're in the area consider giving Beacon House a visit. Hopefully you'll find something you love!

This has to be one of the best places to thrift and donate to in LBC. The staff is always helpful, whether I'm dropping off donations or shopping . The ambiance is always pleasant. I have donated a lot here because I really love that this business truly gives back and support those in need of uplifting in life. I believe the staff are all recipients of the various programs the store supports. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. They have items for all preferences and phases of life. Home goods, snow clothes, vintage housewares and electronics. Super good clothing selections for all. The store is always clean and does not smell stale (o-O). You can trust that your donation really helps a good cause.

This place rocks!! Everyone in here is so friendly and helpful. I went in looking for furniture and multiple people offered to help me find things, explain the sale tag colors, or carry items for me. The selection is definitely a treasure hunt but because of that the prices are low low low! We love to see it.

They have great sales. If you look hard enough, you will find hidden gems at great prices! The employees are kind, helpful, and often very funny! The best part is the great cause that this store supports. Unlike many other thrift stores, I can see the direct impact that this store has on our community. I have a great deal of respect for the individuals fighting substance abuse disorder and for those who guide them through this journey. I can't wait to go today and see what I can find!

I love this place!! So many wonders and I really love the trinkets here. Lots to look at and see. The clothes looked kinda pricey, but I was more focused on the doohickeys and knick knacks. Got myself a porcelain clown for eight bucks! Love this place.

I stumbled upon this thrift store and ended up spending much of my afternoon in this treasure chest of vintage and delightful finds. I came away with brand new allbirds, life magazines from the 1950s and 1960s, vintage motel soaps and a mixer bowl for my old sunbeam mixer for under $50!!! I signed up for their rewards program because I'm absolutely coming back. I might even come back tomorrow as they get regular deliveries from high end estate sales. To top it all off, every volunteer provided some of the best customer service and professionalism I have ever experienced in any retail or hospitality environment. I'm so inspired by this store's mission and impressed with everyone I met in the program. How lucky I feel right now about this gem!

I walked in a few weeks ago and Boy did the Hit a FANTABULOUS Sale Yellow Tags 25% off, Green Tags 50% Off and Blue Tags 75% Off I Cleaned house on Everything,I spend About $80.00 and I came out with 2 Boxes Full from the Houseware section- I got Sooo much it was unbelievable - It was Great to walk in and Find so many Treasures in 1 Store I Needed 2 Shopping carts - THANK YOU BEACON HOUSE keep up the Great Deals and I will definitely be back more often this is WONDERFUL LOCATION

They got Levi's denizen jeans priced at 12.99 that's all I needed to see. Been to this thrift 3 times can't believe how bad the prices are.

After reading lots of reviews on Yelp to find a spot to thrift at in Long Beach, this place definitely stood out. It's so big and filled with treasures. Love the cause and the items I got as well! The color tag sales are great, and the entire store is just so fun to explore. Pretty standard thrift store prices, too. Staff is friendly.

The beacon house is a great thrift store , the team vibe of the crew that runs this location can seem like having your personal shopper. Always helpful, willing to answer any questions or even help locating your categories of personal treasure. I have visited this place serval times . This time in particular I was greeted by Robert . He noticed by my tattoo I was a barber, and I think that immediately brought him to share that he was one as well. More importantly his story and the change that the Beacon house has made in his life . Today I realized that the money and support we as a community contribute here makes a huge impact giving back. While strolling the many items at all the screaming deals I hear "Mike I think you might like this " To one fellow barber to another Thank you for the great find! I love the good cause that the profits go towards, but the prices are just way too high. there are a good number of items I saw that would actually be cheaper to buy new! A dirty old crockpot shouldn't be priced at nearly $20. It's a shame; they would probably make more money and have more customers if they cut all their prices in half.

The employees were super nice and everything was neatly organized but.. it was so expensive. Forever 21 and Shein clothes were worth as much as a new item. Furniture and household items were the only things that was reasonably priced.

Found a dining room table for a reasonable price, found out it was 50% off, and then the manager gave me another 25% off. Good inventory, reasonable prices on furniture, collectibles, and the like.

This place is a hit or miss depending on when you go. That's like any thrift store. Sometimes I go and find a lot of stuff. Some times I leave with nothing. They have random sales where certain items are half off. I try to snatch one of those! Without that sale I think the items can be kind of pricey. The workers are very nice. One time I went there was not a lot of inventory on the racks. Not sure what happened that day!

Love this place. Always has the best movie selection. The best part about this shop however, are the friends I bring with me. Look at what my friend ***** did today. He is so silly... 22 dresses... 14 women. Good thing it wasn't the other way around! Lol!

Beacon house thrift: where most times you'll pay more than original asking price of clothes and shoes Where the people pricing have no clue what they're doing. I used to frequent here a lot but prices have gone way up and quality has gone way down. Want a stained outdated couch? Perfect that'll be $799.99 Want an "antique" tacky lamp? No? Well no worries, no one really did that's why they barely sold, well that at the fact that they were priced at $299 They really don't understand supply and demand. Just because a product was once valuable doesn't mean people want it. Also I saw shein shoes that were $11 originally brand new priced at $36 at beacon. Make it make sense!

I called Christian Outreach to donate some furniture items and they couldn't take them so they suggested I try Beacon House. I hadn't gotten a chance to call but decided to pop in this evening when I ran to the market real quick. I poked my head in asked for the phone number to call because I wanted make some donations. The kid who was at the cashier didn't really seem to know what to do so he handed me his card so I could write the website down. Ok fine. Here walks up Greg the manager so I tell him exactly what I just wrote but I could tell he wasn't very interested since he literally started talking to someone else while I was still talking to him. Whatever. No harm no fowl, I tried. Left. Except...I managed to lock myself out of my car with everything like my phone and purse in there ‍ So I run back in and said can I use your phone please, I'm really stuck. Why this was so troubling, I don't know. But he hesitated and asked for the number I needed to call. I told him 411 so I could be connected to onstar because they will unlock my car for me. "We don't do that" was the answer. You don't do what??? Dial 4-1-1???? You don't help someone who was trying to help your business??? Or you just don't actually CARE??? I'm going with the last one. Don't support this business. That sucks! I had to leave my car and walk home. I don't understand what is wrong with people that just don't care about other people. All I was trying to give someone something free that might need it

Overpriced, low quality thrift store with a large selection. Once was enough. Plenty of competition with lower prices and better merchandise.

Everything was so dirty. They clean nothing. There is no bargain's to be found. All items but the cleaning were priced to eBay. Collectables are here but are full price top dollar and damaged and dirty. I found a cool framed over sized picture it was $79.99 scratched and cracked frame. Everything is relevant but that's not what I look for. Disappointed.

I love this thrift store ! It's great if you're looking for furniture, mugs, glassware, and knick knacks. The prices are soooo good. I'd say the clothes are more mature and not trendy, but they have a few racks for options. I love their color tagged discounts and their rewards program. Customer service is always great and friendly.
