Google
Beak & Skiff is amazing! This orchard transformed from a tiny general store and orchard to an awesome destination whenever I visit the area. They still have great apples and picking, but there are various food and drink options (e.g. hard cider) as well as activities for kids and considerably more retail. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here during the Fall season.

From picking apples, riding the wagon to the fields and sampling their whiskey/bourbons, it was indeed a great day. The baked goods are amazing. The general store has something for everyone. Plenty of seating outside. Don't let the long lines fool ya, they serve everyone in a timely matter. I make it a point to come here every year and you should too !

Google
Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards is amazing , I've been coming here since I was a kid! It's a amazing apple-picking experience with a tractor ride, a cafe and a tasting room with excellent wines and hard ciders. Their shop is packed with apple-themed treats and gifts. It’s a perfect day out for apple lovers!

Google
We love buying this cider in the stores but this was our first time to the actual cidery! Everything was great. I just wish they told us about the reward apple points before we had already spent money in two other buildings. (Sign up for them, even if you don't plan on going back. They are worth it for the day. You will easily spend enough to get some money off) Spirt flight: Bourbon 🤢 Candy corn ⭐️⭐️⭐️🍸 Honeycrisp⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blueberry ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Orange Creamsicle 🤢 Bourbon cream whiskey ⭐️⭐️⭐️🥃

We went to Beak N Skiff on Sunday 10/20 and we had a blast. We really enjoyed the farm animals that Mad Farms brought for everyone to enjoy! It was the perfect touch and gave everyone so much serotonin. It was truly such a good experience. Good food, good drinks, good people<3

We visited the day we were flying out to come home so we were kind of restricted in what we could do but the views were awesome. It would be a regular haunt for me if I were a local, I think. We ate at the cafe, and the food was great. I picked up some fudge from the general store: one type was butterscotch, just like my mom used to make for me when I was a little boy. I have had that in decades, literally. It was terrific!

I have always wanted to visit this place! Didn’t get to go out into the orchard, too cold out, but loved the barn tasting room!

My recent visit to Beak and Skiff was nothing short of a quintessential fall experience. From the moment we arrived, the aroma of freshly baked donuts and pies wafted through the air. The orchard offers a variety of activities suitable for all ages. The hayrides provided a scenic tour of the fall surroundings, and the petting zoo added a touch of charm that delighted both kids and adults. It's the perfect destination for families seeking a fun-filled autumn day. The tasting room was a highlight, featuring house-made cocktails and ciders. As for the freshly baked treats, the donuts were a true indulgence. Beak and Skiff provides the perfect backdrop for a day of seasonal fun. I highly recommend it as a must-visit destination for anyone looking to embrace the spirit of autumn.

Yelp
Beak & Skiff is a MUST visit for anyone who loves to food, alcohol, or just a wholesome good time! The campus has a cafe with very generous portions and great prices. While there I got the pulled pork poutine, which was incredible. The general store has all the merch and snacks you could ever want. And then there's the tasting room...what a treat. I went on a Saturday in October so it was peak season. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly. You can get a craft cocktail, cans of all the 1911 that is made, or flights. I opted for a whiskey and cider flight. It was great trying out everything so I knew EXACTLY what I loved and wanted to buy to take home. The store outside the tasting room packed up all my bottles and cans perfectly to transport home. Do yourself a favor and plan a trip here.

Yelp
Beak and Skiff is simply marvelous and over the past several years has been a part of a new family tradition in apple picking! We live in FL but have a second home in Oswego, NY and our young nephews (5 and 6) are in Liverpool and Beak and Skiff is the place for us to take them and the family to enjoy a day of fun apple picking excitement. The adults enjoy an adult beverage or 2, the kids ride horses, play on hay bales and of course take the trip out to the orchards to find the tastiest juiciest apples around! My husband is obsessed with the apple hand pies- and when I say obsessed I am not lying! If I come up during the season aside from our trip with the kiddos, I am tasked with bringing at least 13 home. I will say this- sometimes the crowds are heavy and can be overwhelming and it would be great if the orchards staff could control flow and the food ordering process to make it more time friendly to guests. Other than that- it's a really good time!!

Yelp
Terribly inefficient drink service. Rampant underage drinking. Not family friendly. Would you enjoy standing in a hour long line at an understaffed bar ? Then this place may be for you. A orchard in the country using and discarding thousands of plastic cups and drink trays each day ? Cold queso ? Horses being paraded and abused by children ? Couple cops and zero investment in security ? Also noticed staff clearly drinking behind the bar. Will only go back for concerts

Yelp
Really incredible place. I went to Beak & Skiff for a concert. I was pretty well blown away. I wasn't expecting a venue as big and nice as that, but alas! There it was! Beak & Skiff feels like it is in the middle of nowhere because it's on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains and there's really not a whole lot around, but you're only a short drive outside of Syracuse. Parking is easy. They have food and drinks. Everyone brings their own chairs and they setup in the big lawn in front of the stage. The earlier you get there, the more likely it'll be that you'll be able to park yourself where you want. Just pace yourself on the beer because I'm not sure how many Ubers there are in the area.

Yelp
Beak & skiff will always be the go to for my family since I was only a few months old. They have grown a lot and it's amazing to see everything they do and how popular they've become. We went on a Saturday around 12pm and I was reminded why we avoid the weekends but round 1 of early morning people left so we found a parking spot closer to the entrance. It was packed to say the least so if you want to come on a weekend be prepared for the crowds and lines for everything. Even finding seating area. However, we love Honeycrisp so we had to get here before they were gone for the season. The food was okay, but they really need to expand their cafe to prep for the amount of people. Ordering food especially on the weekends. It took about an hour to get our food and it was tough to hear when it was ready because they were shouting names. I think maybe they need one more tv and give order numbers to everyone kinda like Panera does now or McDonald's. Even a PA system would help because it was difficult to hear over all the talking. We got the porky apple nachos, deer hill apple bacon burger, and 1911 original chicken. The nachos were good the best part was the apple chutney that was nice and hot and the queso. The pork wasn't very warm and was a bit dry. However kind of expected with how much they prep in pans. The burger was good, your typical burger my sister said. The chicken sandwich was ok too my mom just wished there was maybe more to it than just pickles maybe a coleslaw on it. We don't come for the food but it's nice that they have it available. No drinks today but thought it was cool they were doing free tastings of 4 different whiskeys. Went home with their aged for 5 years whiskey for my boyfriend and a bottle of Honeycrisp wine and obviously some beak and skiff apple cider.

Yelp
Every year, the friend group and I do a special trip to Beak & Skiff to pick apples that we then use for apple pies, cider, etc to share! It's a great time, where we get to go taste whatever the new hard cider may be in the tasting room, and then go purchase our yearly (self-afflicted) allotment of mixed 4-packs. The place is *always* packed when we go, but we still have a great time. We've been doing this for 4 years now, and it is always fun going on the tractor ride. This year, the kiddos got to come and it's a great way to tire them out LOL!

Yelp
Another stop on an afternoon of Fall fun! The crowd was considerable this past Saturday afternoon, the line of traffic coming out as we were coming in was considerable! Luckily my friend's son works there on the weekend and knows where parking is less congested. We were able to order hard ciders without too much of a wait, and picked up a bottle of 1911 Donut Whiskey as a gift. Luckily I didn't have to wait in the line to score the fresh, hot out of oven Apple pie, that received rave reviews from my fiancé! Loved the thick, flaky crust! Apples and cider were also purchased at the barn. We did wander around the gift shop as well, I was disappointed very little Fall or Halloween merchandise but packed with plenty of goods. It is a little cooperate but a beautiful facility. The view of the foliage is phenomenal from their great location!

Yelp
Exceptional spot to see music you love: I drove four hours from NYC for Gregory Alan Isakov and would have travelled twice as far and paid twice as much for the experience. Gorgeous layout and lush views, with ample drink tents and plenty of spots to explore, including good grub, fine merch, and a general store. Sufficient bathrooms and generally clean grounds with polite and respectful staff. The chill crowd of all ages stuck mostly to the lawn (with blankets and chairs ok), and so there was plenty of room to stand close to the stage. Hard to believe general admission could get you that close! VIP parking was reasonably priced and made a difference. Would return in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Beak & Skiff, yet another place I had on my list to try and once again it was a rewarding experience. Steve and I had their Freedom Cider, a cider oriented towards our veterans. The Freedom Hard Cider is a dry cider which more often than not the cider in which I prefer versus ciders that are really sweet. Flavor features with this cider are dry, crisp and tart. And of course the apple flavor which is the main attraction. As I go through the Untappd list for their other cider selections I see some very intriguing cider flavors that caught my eye and is something I wouldn't mind returning to for more exploring. The Cider Donut for one was what really grabbed my attention.

Yelp
Coming from New Mexico, I've definitely never seen apple picking anything like what you'll find here. I know it's definitely more of an East Coast tradition, but I'm hooked. I came with a friend on a trip where I was helping her move. We had some free time and this was top of the list on things to do. It was such a fun experience, and I would totally go back if I'm ever in the area again. There's truly no shortage of things to do including tasting the different spirits, trying about a million different treats, and, of course, going out into the orchard and picking your own apples. Everything was just so fun and also planned out very well. We came on a Friday so it wasn't super busy but it was still a good crowd. The staff was very friendly and we had so many great opportunities to take photos and just enjoy the experience. We visited in early October, so it wasn't super freezing just yet but still pretty cold. The warm apple cider was definitely the perfect treat for the morning. I also got to try an apple cider doughnut, which was really nice as well. I only wish that I had room for more bites including the apple crisp. That sounded so good.

Yelp
Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards campus has many attractions and definitely worth the stop. There is plenty of parking spaces on the grass and road. The campus has a cafe and bakery that sells burgers, hotdogs, fried pickles, apple cider donuts, and so much more. I purchased 1 apple cider donut and it was very good. The apple barn has cartons of fresh apples for purchase instead of picking your own from the trees. I spent some time at the 1911 tasting room. They have cider or spirits flights. I chose the cider flights and got a sample of the cider donut, original, candy corn, black cherry, and cranberry cider. The tray for the flight has the distinction of which one is which underneath the cups. It was $8.00 for the flight. My favorite of the ciders was the candy corn and black cherry. The tasting room has tables inside and outside. Since it was a really nice day, we sat outside and enjoyed seeing people on the hayrides pass by and the apple trees. The general store had a mix of items. There was fresh or hard cider, fudge, soaps, jams, and so much more. Also, there is a place for children called the Kids Treehouse. I enjoyed the hard ciders so much that I purchased a mix and match 4 pack cans for $12.95. I had such a great time at Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards and can't wait to come back here.

Yelp
I always loved coming here and taking my family to pick apples and walk around what was once a small, family, friendly, apple, picking experience. As time has gone on, I've watched this facility, expand its reach and grow its offerings to where it is today, far beyond, just a place to pick apples. I can appreciate how they've grown this orchard into the establishment it is today. However, I miss the quaintness and "non-corporate" vibe that once charmed this hilltop. My favorite apple has always been the Jona Mac. They were in season so it was time to make a trip. At the barn where you can pick apples from large crates sat the Jona Macs, and three other varieties. I wanted to try the Paula reds, but felt a little awkward asking the folks behind the counter if it was OK to sample one. Though they gave me the greenlight, I just didn't feel that welcomed as in days gone by. The Jonah Macs were small, bitey and a bit tart which is how I love apples. The Paula reds are fast becoming my favorite because they are a little juicier, but just as Bitey as the Jonah Macs. . On the way out you can't not stop at the bakery and get yourself an apple pie. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and thanked me for the purchase. When I got the pie back to the house, I couldn't dive into it fast enough, but was quickly disappointed that the pie was quite cold and though I warmed it up, it was not the quality it used to be. Perhaps they made this pie many days ago as it lacked freshness. It's a nice sized pie, the apples were very good, but the flaky crust that once made the pie so special seem to have gone.

Yelp
We had a great time at Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards last week. We went during the time to pick Cortlands. There was a massive amount of cars as we entered the mountaintop orchard. There was actually police directing parking. The entrance moved smoothly and we were walking to the main buildings within 5 minutes. Upon seeing the main buildings we were overwhelmed with fall joy. There were apples everywhere, the smell of baked apples in the air, the sight of changing leaves, and the sound of lots of kids playing. (This is a VERY family-friendly place). We went to pick apples first. You must take the tractor ride out to the orchards for picking, you are not allowed to walk out on your own. You are then driven around the orchard. Different groups stop at different spots to make sure one section isn't over-picked. They give you quick directions as you hop off the tracker and grab a plastic bag. You can fill it with however many apples you'd like as long as they fit. You then find a seat at any wooden bench to get picked up by the tractor again. The tractor lets you off and you weigh/pay your apples before leaving. We spent under $18 for a full bag of Cortlands that lasted a week or so. They were delicious! We also enjoyed the apple cider and the apple cider donuts. They have so many other unique treats, drinks, and activities. It was a bit crowded, but worth it for what we left with!

Yelp
Love this place, a 20 min drive from Skaneateles to the apple campus. We went for lunch on a Friday so it wasn't too busy but the place was huge so I can only imagine how busy it gets on a nice weekend day. We sampled the spirits and the ciders, both were interesting with some different flavors. Sandwiches were filling for lunch. Came home with a 4 pack of the original cider!

Yelp
Went for their summer concert series and immediately got home and purchased more tickets for later in the summer. We could not have had a more perfect evening. Their concert venue is beautiful and they have a great menu selection. We get the 1911 chicken sandwich every time (and take bets on who has the most pickles). They clearly have been around the block a few times, everything from parking to food to crowd control was so seamless, easy, and relaxing! Definitely worth the drive!!!

Yelp
An apple orchard with many attractions and a large tasting room/store! The grounds are huge here, there's plenty to do, and something for all ages. It's a great place to spend your day at. They have wagons that take you out to the orchards to do some apple picking. You can get cider flights, wine flights, spirit flights, and specialty drinks in the tasting room, and purchase cans of cider or bottles of liquor as well! The drinks are all pretty good and its cool to try a variety of their ciders/liquors. During the summer they put on a great concert series as well with pretty well known artists!

Yelp
We have been going to this orchard for years and it is still the best! They have a huge kiddie land, a wagon ride to and from the orchard, a bakery and a bar. The cider is absolutely delicious and I have never eaten anything there that was not amazing! The orchard is beautiful as well. The workers are all very helpful and kind too!

Yelp
I have grown to appreciate hard ciders over the last year and on a recent trip to Syracuse, I knew I had to make a stop out to the Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards and see where 1911 hard cider is made! A family member and I stopped by on a Friday around 2:30pm. There was plenty of parking when we arrived so we were able to park right by the entrance to the 1911 Tasting Room. Beak & Skiff is huge and the area where the 1911 tasting room was pretty! Leading up to the tasting room, I was surprised to see a general store and a bakery, though the bakery was closed for the day. The tasting room had multiple bar areas and a large outdoor patio area, where we sat. The woman working behind the bar was pleasant and plenty patient as we decided what we wanted to order. We enjoyed a flight of 1911 Spirits and I also enjoyed a Frozen Orchard Palmer. The 1911 Blueberry Vodka was the best from the flight but the Frozen Orchard Palmer was incredible, VERY refreshing. I ended up grabbing a couple four-packs of 1911 hard cider as well as a bottle of the 1911 Cider Donut Bourbon, which is delicious! On our way out, we walked through the general store and grabbed six of their mini apple cider donuts and munched on those as we headed out. The woman working the general store was incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. As we expected, these donuts were delicious! Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards, home of 1911 hard cider, is beautiful! I would gladly take the detour here again if/when I go to Syracuse!

Yelp
We attended a concert here this past summer, and we had such a good time that we're hoping to come out again in the future for some of their other events! The concert itself was great, which is a review in itself, but I'm here to talk about the venue. I will say that having never been here before and trying to attend a concert, the directions were a little bit confusing. Their parking lot didn't open until 3pm, but as a part of the concert package we had, the VIP pre-show event also started at 3pm and trying to get there early and get a parking spot was impossible. We were absolutely fine with hanging out on the campus (we ended up driving over to one of their tap rooms, which was only open during special events where the main campus is inaccessible to the public) but I just wish the venue would have been a little more communicative about having to wait for their parking lot to open. Despite this hiccup at the start, we had an excellent time at Beak & Skiff sampling their ciders and enjoying the show. While we were waiting in the tap room we were able to try one of their cider flights with a nice variety of the ciders they produce all on site. I'm slowly starting to get into ciders and this was a really nice introduction into how really good they can be! We actually enjoyed them so much that we ended up driving back out the day after the concert to pick up a couple of cans to take home. I liked that we were able to put together our own 4-pack. We also had a chance to try some of their food. My boyfriend and I opted for the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese and coleslaw, a favorite meal of ours. Both the sandwich and coleslaw were really good, but the mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. I'm chocking that up to it being a concert event, and not their normal business hours so we're willing to give it another try next time we're out that way. Overall we had a really good experience here, and are hoping to get back out sometime this fall for some apple picking! And also, the cider. Yummm!!

Yelp
Went on a Sunday in the off season, gorgeous day, very limited people. All the staff that helped us with drinks and food were very helpful in describing things to help make the best choice for us. We had a couple cider samplers, the frozen orchard Palmer, chicken tenders and poutine. Everything was delicious. The view is amazing on a bright blue sky day. Bathrooms are easily accessible in the tasting building. And they have their own parking lot, which makes it no hassle.
google avatar

Yelp
They are ranked the #1 apple orchard in the state for a reason! Fun place to go for a NY Fall Day! I suggest getting there early, but it gets busy very quickly! However, the venue has parking in the front and back and do a great job getting people on the tractor for apple picking. On my most recent visit on a busy Fall Sunday, we were in and out within a couple hours and felt like we did everything we wanted to do! I bought almost 15 lbs. of apples, had a delicious cocktail with 1911 products, tried poutine and apple fritters and checked out the various shops! It doesn't take long to spend money here, but everything is great! They also have a rewards program where you earn points for each purchase. I look forward to coming here every year and am excited for all the apple recipes to come!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places under the sun! My 3 year old loves venturing out to the orchards via the wagon ride to pick a couple of apples, we are close enough that we can come weekly to see what the new apple of the week is (so far honey crisp is our favorite!). The kids play area is wonderful with the giant dual slide, my daughter would willingly spend hours playing here with a bunch of other kids her age. We haven't had anything from the cafe besides some donuts, but the food looks delicious. The ciders are amazing as well as the apple wine. The view is spectacular, and on the weekends there is a small petting zoo and occasionally a pony ride area. Everyone here has always been incredibly friendly. I could go on and on about my love for beak & skiff. It's truly a beautiful place for an enjoyable day! Please note that the wagon rides end at 5pm if you're coming from afar :)

Yelp
Apple picking, cider tastings & good times can be found at this Lafayette location. Left the city for Apple picking but got much more when we came across beak & skiff! The aesthetics were amazing, every spot had its own photo op! The cider flights were affordable and delicious under $10, the seasonal cocktails were also delicious $12 and below. I especially loved the cider flights because you get to try different flavors and then decide which you'll commit to The hay ride to the orchard was quick, easy & free. you'll get to snap many pics of the orchard. They had 4 different types of apples in season when I visited ( mid October) you pay by the pound for the apples I'm looking forward to visiting here again next year!

Slick S.

Yelp
Some years ago Beak and Skiff was loved by everyone. Now not so much. With each years passing more and more negative reviews. They've become so focused on alcohol that the orchard portion of the business has suffered. Their prices are the highest in the area but the quality doesn't warrant the cost. We now visit other orchards close by to pick our own. Beak and Skiff has lost their identity by becoming more of a bar than an apple orchard.

Yelp
Very large apple orchard and the campus seems to grow more every year. For apple picking there is a tractor that brings you to the specific picking area or you can walk. I personally have never picked apples here because there is other activities to enjoy. If apple picking isn't for you, you can go to the apple store on the campus and buy some there. On the campus there is: -building for fritters -bakery barn (no fritters) -building for apples, with new overlooking deck -general store with different things to buy including decor, gifts, jewelry, candles, local jar dips and sauces, cheese, apple cider, fudge, snacks, and merch among other things -cider and cocktail bar inside barn -store to buy liquor and cider to take home -small cafe with warm food and canned cider -outdoor bar tent x2 There is outdoor seating but limited since this place gets very busy. My group tried canned cider, mule cocktail and cider flight ($8 for 6 samples this includes the a choice of a limited flavor or $6 for 5). The ciders were all good but the cocktail was very cinnamon flavored. Lots of people walking around with fun looking mudslide like cocktail. Plenty of special cocktails to chose from. Arrive early especially on the weekends to beat the crowds. They are dog friendly!! But not in the apple orchard.

Yelp
I'm shocked that the excellent cider flight is $6. If you get the $2 upgrade for maple bourbon that's still cheaper than an NYC bar drink. The great mix of flavors ranged from sweet apple to exotics like cider donut. Black cherry was excellent. The scenery alone is worth $6; Route 20 should be in magazines. Outdoor seats are abundant. The array of buildings is dazzling - i.e. there's a bakery but also the cafe. The apple fritters - not always available - were great. There's a mix-and-match option to create a four-pack of cans. Watermelon mint wasn't my thing. The original version was good but maybe I'm not a purist as my favorites were raspberry and shandy.

Yelp
Great spot to come check out if you are exploring around Syracuse. The tasting room is great. You get 5 samples to enjoy for $6! Recommend the sweet apple which is exclusively made for the NY state fair. Must have their apple cider from their general Store. So yummy! They have a tavern that you can order food from and also have a distillery and can have great mixed cocktails!

Yelp
Sandwich was delicious. Just about all dishes on the menu had a gluten free substitute. The wait for our food was a bit long, but they have tasty cocktails and ciders to keep you busy while you wait. We went when there was live music which was very fun and a perfect way to spend our night.

Yelp
They suck - for one, they're scamming people out of seeing a Total Eclipse by advertising a "Solar Eclipse Viewing Party" when they're several miles SOUTH of the path of totality. Also, their beverage prices at concerts are RIDICULOUS considering they're selling their own product - not some that they had to buy from some distributor. See my image - shows their graphic advertising on Facebook, it's overlayed a Google Earth Pro image showing that they're SOUTH of the path of totality by a few miles - SCAMMING people out of seeing what's a once in a lifetime event just to line their pockets with $$$.

Yelp
Concerts are really great, but they need to get their act together with directing parking coming out and/or have an additional exit. Lake Street Dive played for 1.5 hours, it took us 1 hour to exit the parking lot!

Yelp
Gorgeous views and grounds for drinking a tasting selection outside on a picnic table or Adirondack chair. Restaurant open for dining outside or take out. We ordered a scheduled pick up in advance and our order wasn't ready any earlier when we arrived 30min early/ so unless you need a specific pick up time, you may as well just order on arrival. The Korean Pulled Pork Sandwich was excellent- not spicy, more like a sweet smokey bbq with the pickled punch. The High Peaks burger was thick and full of carmelized onions- very hearty meal. The apple cider was a nice way to break up all the meat- would have ordered a tasting set if we'd had more time.

Yelp
I started going to this place when there was barely a barn up with my babies. My son is now going to be 20 years old soon I stopped back in the other weekend when they were picking mackintosh apples. I am now living out of state so as I was there, I realize it's now more of a photo shoot for people to gather at and look pretty on social media than there is for apple, picking and getting along with strangers, the lines were extraordinarily long people were not very polite. The prices were outrageous. It's just not family oriented any longer. It's more manufactured.

Yelp
A great place for families, friends, and college students looking to get away from campus for a while! This place is one of my "Fall must-do's," both for the apple picking and the yummy foods they have on deck. My roommates and I have gone apple picking several times and left stocked up for the season! The real star of the show in my opinion is the apple cider, hot or cold, as well as the apple cider donuts. On a brisk fall day, there's nothing better than a warm sweet-treat coated in cinnamon sugar, followed by a hot apple cider to keep your hands toasty! However, if you go on a colder day, DEFINITELY check out the Tipsy Cow: it's a boozy, chocolate-coffee shake topped with an apple cider donut and yes, it is as delicious as it sounds. Be aware of crowds, and be prepared to spend a bit, especially if you're interested in buying ciders. Overall it's a fun, peak "fall" day trip!

Yelp
What a great place for individuals, couples or families! This gem is only a very short drive from downtown Syracuse and well worth it. We arrived and were able to park close up. Unlike many similar venues we've been to throughout the U.S., there is no charge to park and no charge to enter! On the day we arrived there were Gala app ales and McIntosh apples that could be picked. Even on a Monday, after what was a busy weekend, there were still PLENTY of apples to pick. This property has over 300,000 apple trees of many varieties! We picked apples (our young grandson was thrilled) and then took them to be weighed. The apples were very tasty! After picking out apples, we took our grandson to the children's play area. I have to admit, the two slides were pretty quick (I may have slid down one myself!). After some time at the kids area, our family went into the shop where they have a very wide variety of items for purchase. There is also an area where you can see a frame of live honey bees. Having apiaries at my home in Texas, I was pleased to see the 'bee area' in the shop! There is also a bar area with many types of hard cider for those who choose to imbibe. We also hit the bakery and purchased some apple doughnuts which we ate on-site (they were very delicious) and purchased some apple crisps and apple dumplings which we ate later - they were also very tasty. If we are back in the area again, we would absolutely come here again - the staff were all awesome!

Yelp
A little overhyped and a little overpriced I have been here a number of times as a local to the area, and while I see why the scenery really pulls people in, the establishment is kind of underwhelming. My most recent visit, we were being bombarded by flies and when we tried to crack a window to let some air in, we noticed dead bees lining the windowsill- a little unnerving. Other times I have been here, especially the colder it is, the inside is crowded and its hard to find a place to sit. Often times the staff is not too pleasant either - not horribly rude, but not very helpful. My biggest qualm with this place is the price for the quality. This place can be very pricey for what you get - I spent over $20 for the liquor and cider flight (together + tip) and both the quantity and quality were lacking. The cider flight contained less than most flights , and the cider itself was not the best. The only one I would recommend is the cider donut! The liquor was pretty good, and might be worth the try. I have gotten cocktails here before - and whilst they were tasty - again very pricey for what you were getting. Overall, I think this place is a little gimmicky - I would maybe pay a visit for the scenery, but I would not spend money trying to try their goods as it often comes up lacking.

Yelp
Probably one of the best apple orchards in upstate NY. They have a distillery as well. It's great for people of all ages. Very scenic with a variety of food and drink choices. They always have seasonal cocktails, wine, and cider. They're doing a spirit and cider tasting flight right now. The apple pie slice I had was delicious as well as the sweet potato fries with apple Mayo. There are pony rides and a playground for the kids. The orchard is huge and prices are reasonable. Had a great time! Quite crowded though.

Yelp
This place is great! If you're visiting a student or someone who lives in the city this is a good way to get some space from the city and be in nature. While the apple picking is definitely pricey, the wine, cider and beer tasting is a super fun experience. Going here really gets you in the mood for fall and let's you stock up on local items!

Yelp
I love this place so much! I visited from Florida and was greeted by a beautiful Apple orchard property that also had a restaurant/cafe and bar. The alcoholic ciders were so crisp and fresh that i might ship some to Florida! I loved that there were "cider tasters" so you could order a few at a time tl try out different flavors. Also loved the chicken quesadilla and the poutine was phenomenal!! The apples were huge and fresh and the whole experience was amazing, definitely want to visit again.

Yelp
A beautiful location with a cute gift shop and some incredibly tasty ciders and liquors! The store had lots of little food and non-alcoholic drinks and souvenirs (we got some tasty chocolate and local honey). Then in the tasting room we did a cider tasting (6 uniquely flavored ciders) and a liquor tasting (5 different spirits) and they were all very tasty and interesting. The grounds are beautiful and it was just a lovely place to hang out and sip drinks and walk around.

Yelp
Had an outing at the orchard yesterday and I truly had such a blast! It was an incredible environment with the easiest weather and the view was something special! They have a great drink menu (big fan of flights and they offer 3 types!!) and although I didn't quite make it to the food, I heard very good things about the kitchen as well. The cinnamons sugar donuts were crazy good!

Yelp
Went to the Beak & Skiff apple orchard over the holiday weekend. It had evolved over the last twenty years and is now a showplace to visit with children, family or with a significant other. It has it all. Apple cider, hard cider, cider donuts, hard liquor from apples. Pick your own apples or pick up apples. Honey, maple syrup, local New York products. Bakery with apple fritters etc. Great place to visit while in the Syracuse area or on the way to the lakes or Skaneateles.

Yelp
I almost need to write two separate reviews, because I love beak & skiff for the apple picking, the drinks, and the atmosphere. I look forward to bringing my two babies here in the fall for the fun family experience. 5 stars for the entire place. For the venue, I recently went to a concert there, Death Cab For Cutie, and had a less than great experience. The beginning of our trip was great. We got food and drinks, found a place to sit. After awhile we decided to leave our chairs and find a closer spot. While standing in front of the stage we noticed two girls who were visibly intoxicated walk over. A few minutes later one of them was gone, and the other girl was about to fall over. We helped her to the ground and began to offer her water. She asked where her friend was, and being that we didn't know, I went to the ambulance there to tell the EMT's there was a young girl who didn't know where she was. After telling them, they looked at each other, then to me, and laughed. So onto the venue security I went. This was where the night went horribly wrong. Me, as well as two other girls spent the entire night taking care of these two drunk girls we didn't know, while security all stood around and watched us. They didn't offer to help, to take the girls to a different, quieter place to help them find a way home. Even after the concert was over they still expected us to make the calls from these strangers phones. While I realize I didn't have to do these things, I wouldn't have left these girls to drive drunk and get hurt. I'm extremely disappointed in the staff at the venue and hope that in the future they are more helpful to others.

Yelp
It was fun. I would go back for the apple picking and the poutine. Seems very touristy but for good reason

Yelp
Went here for a saturdate around 9am. No big like easy to park. Highly suggest going in the morning! I really liked the 1911 original hard cider, the Apple cider donuts were ok, Apple picking was fun and of course the best part is bringing a gallon of cider home! We bought a couple of things in the gift shift as gifts and it was nice to look through. There were a couple shirts and sweaters I almost bought just didn't have the right size so maybe next trip!

Yelp
Beautiful orchard, and many buildings to choose from for shopping, tasting, and wagon rides! Best orchard in CNY.

Yelp
Love Beak and Skiff!! I come here all of the time. I love picking apples here! And their apple fritters are the best! It can get a little crowded. But it's worth it for the hayride, ponies, apples and apple picking experience. Their cider is tasty, too! I'm so glad they have so many flavors as well. Every time I try a new one I love it more than the last. I'll definitely be back for more apples and other goodies!

Yelp
This place is gorgeous! I came here for a Death Cab for Cutie concert last month which was a lot of fun being able to enjoy music, good cider and a great view. I came back to try some more of their ciders which are pretty good! You can get a flight of 5 ciders for $8 which is a great deal. I came on a Friday night and they had some live music as well. Many different options for alcoholic beverages, opportunities to buy cans of their cider, wine & other spirits. I will definitely be coming back here to go apple picking and experience more of the orchard!
