Beautifully crafted coffee with latte art. Very tasty coffee. Rich and flavoured with a great richness. Well done barista!

Amazing coffee shop. Good vibes! Loved the roast used in my flat white today! Friendly team even though they had thier busiest day ever!

My experience of Bean Shot was very specific: I was there to undertake the barista training course on a blustery October eve, a gift from my wife. This was gifted due to my love of coffee and coffeeshops as welcoming spaces to hang out, but also due to my love of learning new things and of being able to add a further string to my bow, should it come in handy one day. Well, I can certainly say that it was a lovely, down-to-earth and very informative 3 hours spent. This was in no small part due to the expertise, warmth and knowledge shared by Alex, the Operations Manager there, who guided me through a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of making great coffee and specifically the practical use of an espresso machine and what constitutes the various types of coffee made at Bean Shot. He was thorough and detailed and there was also an opportunity to be hands on and make a coffee myself; as well as, obviously tasting coffee and understanding more about flavour profiles and how they change depending on a number of variables. Highly recommended if you are keen to expand your knowledge, of coffee, of course, but just in general. It was great to be a student and learn something very new. Thanks Alex.

I would highly recommend the Barista Course with Alex, he is very knowledable and a great teacher. I took my own Sage Barista Express to the evening as I wanted to learn to use the machine to it's full potential. Alex helped in doing this. He is very approachable and friendly and anyone who has visited Bean Shot for their daily dose of great coffee will know what I am referring too. Alex also taught me how to do some coffee art which definitely takes a lot of patience and practice but is a lot of fun to try. If you're interested in making or just drinking coffee, or you want to try something new, this course is 100% great value for money. Thanks Alex

What an amazing find! This was honestly one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. I’ve tried some good ones recently, but this coffee shop is on another level. The coffee was so delicious I actually forgot to take a photo; and it had the most elaborate latte art I’ve ever seen! It was so good I had to go back for another one. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

The smoothest coffee I’ve ever had, finished my 1st one and was so tempted to immediately buy another! They allow dogs inside (just understandably not on the sofas!) and have a little jar of free dog treats on the counter too. Their decor is eclectic and a lot of care has clearly been taken into the branding and aesthetic with coasters, wall hangings, and pillows. It would be nice to see the menu a little clearer and maybe some explanations on what some of the drinks they offered are for us casual coffee goers :) The music that they were playing was great too, not too loud or too quiet so I’ll definitely be coming back to study with my laptop at the bar table. They’re also very clearly supportive of other local businesses and it’s a great place to come and see the flyers on the wall about what’s going on around town. Plus it’s great to see the pride flags so proudly displayed in the window alongside their daily whiteboard display :) The guy at the counter was very friendly and kind, we couldn’t spy a tip jar anywhere on the counter but left it on the tray anyway!

Tasty coffee, good tunes and really friendly staff! Really recommend grabbing a coffee and enjoying it on the Abbey Green just two minutes away.
