Beans & Brews Coffee House

We love privately owned coffee shops and stumbled across this one walking this morning. The place is warm, very clean and staff super friendly. Pretty simply we ordered two lattes and they were reasonably priced. I was impressed with mine when I opened it up and the froth was thick. That’s a good quality latte. Tasted even better. A great experience!

Had to have an extra early start to the morning (not for anything fun!) and Beans and Brew made it so much better. The iced matcha latte is the best you’ll have. Hurry on over and thank me later.

I got the pumpkin spice frozen coffee and I would say it’s the best coffee I had. I also got it with the donut holes and they were so good and warm. Keep in mind the large is huge I wasn’t expecting it to be so big but definitely worth it. I would definitely recommend coming here.

This placed totally earned one of my rare 5 stars for food! I honestly went inside to get away from people yelling across the street, buying maybe a bottled drink. I ended up getting a Churro Muffin and a Turkey, Avocado, Swiss Croissant. The sandwich was warm and delicious. The muffin was so soft, moist, and heavenly. I will have to come back soon!

Honestly, this was not good. I got an iced matcha, a sasauge egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and my wife got an iced latte. The iced latte tasted super burnt and left a weird aftertaste. The matcha was very sweet in a weird way. The breakfast sandwich tasted like they just poured a ton of salt and pepper on the sausage. We threw away all of it and just went to Duncan.

I always have a great experience at beans & brews, no matter what! Megan & Dyani helped me today and made my coffee perfectly (as usual)! They always ask how I’m doing, even if it looks like I’m not doing the best. Love this place & I appreciate everyone that works here.

This is absolutely one of the best espresso based drinks I’ve had. My wife and I traveled through Europe last year and we had many many different coffee shop, espresso based drink drinks and this one riled one of them or was probably even better and I told them the day we bought their product. As a matter of fact, we walked to the Riverwalk all the way back there later in the afternoon it had more coffees. Try this place you will not be disappointed one of the very best.

Not open yet but I saw what there going to do great coffee energy drinks Not going to give it away if you work in this area check it out Jefferson bank Travis Park plaza right next to Hopscotch come check it out staying in a nearby hotel your welcome someone told me Monday hope so well it's open and worth the wait beautiful little place nice friendly staff I had a house coffee it's good coffee haven't had any food yet but people say it's great. Hurry before the line gets to long

01 Feb 2025 Today we stopped in after the Western Heritage Parade. The husband had the turkey avocado Swiss croissant and a drink. I just had some hot chocolate with whipped cream. All were delicious. Plenty of staff to take care of the folks streaming in. It got pretty crowded for a while, but they kept up. And were quite friendly and pleasant. The space itself is so nice and a great spot from where to watch people. Go there.

I am a sucker for a locally owned coffee shop and I am stragetic in my coffee tour in a new city (alternating types of drinks and spacing them out with meals/activities), but when you stumble upon a coffee shop that wasn't on your Yelp radar and you're already about 5 drinks deep it is a true connoisseur challenge...but it is not at all impossible. And so, I walked in to order a cold brew coffee. Honestly I was as excited about the view as I was the coffee. Looking out the front (if you find bar seating) you face the park. Art, people in motion, children playing, and the heartbeat of a city that's too loud for anyone to ignore. But, the cold brew was also delicious. And much needed on that warm afternoon. If you are in search of a quality coffee that you can order and go in a hurry, this is your place!

I stoped by at 3:00pm thinking I was gonna get some coffee. they were closed 2hours before as shown on the times on the door. :(

The baristas seemed friendly, but they were out of mocha sauce this particular day and it seemed like most of their drinks had some element of mocha in it so I didn't end up ordering here. It has more of a commercial chain coffee house vibe to it which isn't my style personally, and the drinks looked like they would be a sugar overload. It's in a good location though if you're looking for something quick and easy in downtown SAN Antonio.

This place slaps! Very good coffee and great staff. Kayla (I think) helped us out and got us a nice cup of Joe. Great environment and will be back when I'm in the area!!

I have been here once before this recent time, and the online ordering worked fine and the staff was friendly. This time, however, I placed an online order for egg bites, paid online, and patiently waited my turn, only to be told, "Yeah, so we don't sell that in Texas - only in Utah. Ssooorrryyy!!" When I asked if I am getting a refund, they said, "Maybe go to the website that charged you." The website that charged me is Beans and Brews' website where there is no way to contact anyone. Fantastic. I'll probably just lose the funds and avoid the headache of filing a dispute with the credit card issuer.

My favorite coffee house in San Antonio. The ambience is amazing, and the service is great.
