A Must-Visit for Coffee Lovers Barebones Coffee Roasters in Brisbane is an absolute gem. I initially came in for my usual flat white but was immediately drawn to their incredible selection of single-origin roasts. I chose the Peruvian single origin and it was one of the best iced coffees I've ever had. What makes Barebones truly special is the atmosphere. The roastery is right on-site, which creates a fantastic vibe and a deeper appreciation for the craft. The staff was busy, but the energy of the place was amazing. I also picked up a new Fressko tumbler that's a perfect memento of my visit. It's clear that this team is passionate about what they do. I've seen Barebones coffee used in cafes all over Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and it was a real treat to go directly to the source and experience their work firsthand. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. If you're looking for truly exceptional coffee, Barebones is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of trying their filter coffee, and it was absolutely delightful! The flavors were so well-balanced, making it one of the best filter coffee experiences I’ve had in Brisbane. A big thank you to the Bear Bones team for their dedication to quality, and a special shoutout to Katie for her exceptional service. Your warm and attentive approach truly made our visit memorable. Looking forward to coming back soon!

For nearly two years, I've made Bear Bones my daily morning ritual and have probably ordered at least 500 large long blacks. Without question, they craft the most exceptional and distinctive coffee I've encountered in Brisbane, and they've never once served up a subpar cup. Their beans are also excellent quality and always roasted fresh. Never change!

Have been buying their coffee for nearly a year on a monthly subscription however this month had an issue with shipping. I contacted Bear Bones to see if they could contact the shipping company as I couldn't find a contact number. The lady I spoke to could not have been any more friendlier or helpful and said that the coffee is more then likely lost and will not be fresh and organised a replacement. Highly recommend their coffee as well as their exceptional customer service.

A lovely coffee shop in the valley - probably the best coffee I had in Brisbane. Highly recommend. Just note that they only open until 2.30pm on weekdays (until 1pm on Sat), closed on Sundays. Definitely get your coffee fix within those hours.

@bearbonescoffee was so good that we ended up buying a big bag of beans each here. Fragrant coffee with a chill ambiance. Flavour profile changes when done hot/cold, I really enjoyed the beans in the blue packaging 🤗 Oh and they also have customer parking lots available 👀. * 8oz/ Cup Latte (4.5 AUD) * Iced Latte (6 AUD) Location: Fortitude Valley, Brisbane 🇦🇺 Time: Closed on Sunday ; Weekday: 630am-230pm, Sat: 630-1pm #critzspot #foodie #foodier #noms #eats #aussie #australia #brisbane #coffee #caffeine

We have been proud clients of Bear Bones Coffee for over seven years and continue to be thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and consistency. Their extensive range of blends and single origins showcases true craftsmanship, but it’s the continued support and expertise of their highly knowledgeable team that truly sets them apart.

Yelp
A very cute little place, on the water! It appears, it's on the Brisbane river. Very friendly and helpful staff! Large seating area with a great view of the river/harbor area. Chai latte tea made the way I love it, which has been difficult to find, while we've been here in Australia. In addition to coffee and tea, they have soft drinks and adult beverages. Additionally, a selection of ice cream treats. Not that it really matters, but unisex restrooms. Very nice place, certainly would return if in the area!

Yelp
The 90s called and they want their prices back. Seriously. Let's talk prices. Think about it. When was the last time you went to a cafe and got a coffee and a salad for less than $10? And I'm talking about a QUALITY coffee and salad, here. Yeah, that's what I thought. You're struggling to find one, aren't you? Bear Bones is new. So new I feel like this is a review before its time because each time I visit there'll be something new. For example, this week they'll install their own coffee roasting machines.... Here's hoping the brews stay as good as the flat white I enjoyed today (Wolff Roast. Bloody brilliant). And the salad. Right. I saw the guy behind the counter serving it up to another customer and asked what it was. "It's our green salad. Lentils, pepitas, cucumber, rocket, quinoa, and a balsamic glaze." In my mind I'd stacked this up to be a $12 affair. "How much for a serving?" I asked. "$5.50." Five Dollars and Fifty Cents! Can you believe it? Now, the serving size isn't large but it is ample for a quick lunch and was delicious and I would have (and have in the past) paid a lot more for a lot less. Kudos. Last but not least, I sense it is important to tell you that Bear Bones is the newest member of the family that bring Brisbane The Ponycat Cafe, Kettle & Tin and Cobbler so, you know, it's going to have a lot of individuality (expect to see a lot of Asa's art works around) and damn good everything.

Yelp
Yes, this has the potential to become a favourite haunt. It's checked all my boxes so far. I first came across this place a week ago while attempting to visit the Doctor Who pop-up store - which featured a ridiculous queue. But, back to the point. So I'm a huge fan of bears of any sort, and , there I was, leaving the DW store behind dejectedly, and what did I see? In the middle of nowhere (well, sorta nowhere... It was a weekend so none of the shops and offices in the stretch where open) there was a van with the word "bear" written on it, parked infront of what looked like a cafe with bears painted on the wall... I spent the next days attempting to drag someone with me back to visit and taste their wares, and "bear as in the animal not bare bones the barbershop in Morningside" became the norm coming out of my mouth. Eventually, I made it back with a fellow over-caffeinated nut - the space was pretty chilled out, small but amazing selection of food, and there was a large space in the back for their roaster which would be making an appearance soon (next week the bits will start appearing apparently. I'm excited) I got myself an avo on toast, and was served the most beautiful and largest serve in had ever seen. I wound up picking half the avo slices off the toast so I could bite into them without getting it all over my nose. And the best part? It's only $10! Dude on duty (didn't get his name) was awesome and friendly as well. This is definitely a place worth visiting!

Yelp
Numerous cafes and bars in Brisbane opened up near the end of the year, including a new establishment by the owners of The Cobbler and numerous Brisbane hotspots by the name of Bear Bones Espresso. I had the chance of meeting one of my Yelpers at this hip cafe sandwiched between shops on Mclachlan Street in the Valley. Colorful graffiti sets the ambience of this modern industrial cafe that is set out to roast their own coffee beans. Since my visit about a month ago, they may have very well started to already! Deciding on the avo toast and the pulled pork sandwich between me and my friend, we also each ordered a milkshake. My chocolate milkshake, which came in the traditional cup, though not as thick as an American milkshake, was a rich chocolate that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Still, it was a bit, and I would advise sharing one with someone. The avo toast was delicious, as the bread was fresh, and the presentation wasn't lacking either. The pulled pork sandwich, recommended by Kurtis the barista, was also flavorful, though not quite flavored like an American pulled pork sandwich. The portion was also quite generous, which is always a plus. The service was awesome, and I would definitely recommend this place for those living in Brissy!

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. Coffee was good, it was pretty busy when we arrived, so it did take a little while but it was worth it. The staff are genuinely friendly, none of that arrogant coffee attitude (something refreshing for the Valley). Lucky it wasn't too hot today and they didn't seem to be roasting, other wise it could have been a bit uncomfortable. Food looked good and very well priced, I look forward to trying it next time. Noted that they are not open in the weekend.
