This course is fun! I don’t think it’s worth the price. I have played nicer courses for less. The staff was incredible, it’s in a quiet area and the fairways are well kept. Some of the greens need a bit of quality time and repair. The carts are old but at least they work. Relaxed course, no dress code, beginner friendly.

We had a lot of fun playing 9 holes here with our teenage boys. Everyone on the course was really patient with us when we were taking forever. We didn't even break any cabin windows! We will definitely be back!

Easy to play and easy to get a reservation. This is our second time playing this course and it's always a good time. Even though we had some slow people in front of us, no one is extra pushy or impatient. This is a great place for family vacation golf course

Every year for the last 6 years, I have played this course as part of a golf trip with some friends. We love this place!!! The course is so fun to play. The layout is interesting with several challenging dogleg holes and slope changes that make it moderate difficulty. The scenery is amazing with beautiful Bear Lake as the backdrop. The course is typically well kept and is well above average for similar mountain/rural courses in Utah. The management is terrific. They are very friendly and make you feel like family. Each year when we come up in the fall we play the course for several days usually getting in 72 holes over 3 days playing the same 9 over and over. It is a blast. We are excited that there are plans to built another 9 holes to expand it to 18. If you take the time to come play this course you will fall in love with it too. Note: I was looking at some of the other reviews. Some have commented on the rough shape of the course. We just played this weekend and it is in good shape. See the pictures. In talking with the management it sounds like they had some challenges this spring but they have done a great job recovering from that. It isn’t perfect but again, for a mountain/rural course it is well above average. This is a family friendly course. You will often see golfers on this course of all ages. As a result, sometimes it does get backed up. If you are a golfer in a hurry then maybe this course isn’t for you. It definitely has a calmer and slower feel. With that said, most of the time we are able to play nine in 2h to 2h15min.

What really make this place outstanding is the staff. The course is owned and operated by some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience from start to finish . If you’re looking for a well maintained and challenging 9-holes of golf Bear lake golf course is the best option. You wont be disappointed .

Great place for leisure golf. I actually love this course every time i golf there it’s a different experience. A doe and a fawn crossed my path today, other days it’s usually wild turkeys. I golf here for the peace.

Our family of six played the course and loved it. Good mix of shorter and longer holes. We had to wait a lot due to an extremely slow group in front of us. But the views and scenery made it worth it. Friendly staff and they even saved the day finding our son’s wallet and earbuds. We would definitely play again.

The Superintendent should be commended for the quick healing of this course from just a few months ago as reflected in previous reviews. Beautiful course, scenic, very playable, really enjoyed playing it, my 322nd course in a little over 5 years!

Yelp
Outstanding golf course for every type of player - beginners, family, and experienced golfer. Very challenging from the "tips" to senior tees. Will definitely play it multiple times on next visit. Exceptional staff. Also a great driving range. Thank you.

Yelp
This golf course has a fun and challenging layout with a beautiful view of Bear Lake. The course employees seem to do a great job of maintaining the grounds, and the clubhouse staff and marshals have always seemed friendly and accommodating to both big family groups with novices and more serious par golfers. That being said, I'd advise you make reservations early if you're planning to golf here in July or August because that's when Bear Lake is at its busiest; especially weekends! Plan on a 2.5 to 3 hour round on Holiday or busy weekends on this course because EVERYONE is trying to play it. If you really want the course to yourself or to not be rushed, try for an afternoon/evening tee time during the middle of the week or shoot for a June or September family golf outing. If you're just getting into golf, and are working on your skills, they have a great driving range facing the lake directly. We just love it up there. Happy vacationing!
