Although clean, this motel has not been meaningfully updated in any way. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom even smaller. Still has original tin/aluminum/metal shower stall with original taps … rust spots painted over. Original stove in kitchenette, wall panelling, etc. Not enough outlets so they have plugged in adapters with extra outlets and have everything running to 2 outlets. Rooms are not soundproof and you can hear your neighbour’s cough, etc. It is definitely NOT charming as their advertising would have you believe. Some basic investments into cosmetic upgrades like drywall, fixtures, soundproofing, electrical, and appliances would go a long way towards making the motel “charming” in an accurate way that modern travellers will appreciate. ||In saying this, it’s the cheapest place you’ll find in Waterton so if you’re on a budget, this is the place for you. It was clean, the bed had a foam mattress that was decent, although a bit firm. The office has coffee and filtered water available, which is handy. There are bbqs and picnic tables outside so guests have that option if cooking your own food while on vacation is your thing.
