BEAR SANCTUARY Prishtina

If you appreciate the well being of wild life, this place is a must visit! While it is saddening to see animals that have been abused, it is real uplifting to witness the amazing work this organization is doing to give them a better life. The bears now have vast areas of wild land to roam like in their natural habitat, and the park allows you to walk in a nice path that you can see the bears up close, it is an inspiring place to visit and see the dedication and care of the organization and at the same time great entertainment without disturbing any creatures!

Amazing experience. So cheap to get in and they do so much for the bears. So we went wild in the gift shop to give them more money. Bears look well looked after and happy :) Be aware it’s located on a steep hill so it may not be for you if you struggle to walk. It’s only 1.5km but the hills are steep!

Loved this got really close to the bears and was great to see what a valuable job the sanctuary do ,as some of them bears must have had horrible life's previously. Only 2.50 euro to enter too but would have happily paid more. Enjoyed the street dogs that were in the sanctuary ,one gave us a personal tour and followed us around all the time we were there . Lovely dog , think we shall name her sandy

Fascinating place for a whole family visit: path are clean and well maintained, stuff is friendly, entry fee only 2,5€, nice shop, and lots of activities along the path for kids. Come and visit the many wonderful bears (and a lion!)

A beautiful sanctuary, well maintained and clean. It has a little gift shop as well as a restaurant and cafe. It costs €2.50 per person. We went midday (better to go at a cooler/later time) and therefore, we only saw a few bears and the lion was sleeping. Good trail. Take water on the trail with you. Good spots for kids to play as well.

Fantastic sanctuary, a must for any people visiting this area. Set in the most beautiful surroundings, lunch was lovely too! Great for kids, lots of play areas, educational interactive facts. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend

Stopped as part of our tour to Kosovo from Skopje. The sanctuary is quite nice, with a circular loop walking trail that takes you around the cages that house the bears and the lion. The sun was intense on the day we visited as was the humidity, which kept most of the bears hidden or inside the areas that are shaded. We did get to see a few of the bears and the face of the lion.

If you're in Prishtina then definitely visit this place. The bears have quite a lot of space and it's very impressive to see them. There are several information signs to read about the bears. The area is beautiful as well. You only pay 2,50 which is very affordable!
