Beargrass Creek Tavern

1st time here. Lunch date. And we loved Katie! Shes the best! The food is phenomenal! And the prices are extremely fair! Atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Other guests were awesome. Everyone was very friendly and all around a great experience. Will be back often!

Beargrass Creek Tavern is a glorious local bar with tremendous wonderful bar grub, chili, and soups of the day. Beer is inexpensive, with Hamburgers made by the Hamburger gods. The chicken and fish sandwiches are surprisingly out of this world. Do try the onion rings.I love this place with all the friendly staff and people. This Tavern is a throwback to better times. I love watching games in this place with adoring fans cheering or the opposite when a play goes down. If you go in once, you will become part of a community. Its our go to place before we have a LouCity game or when LouCity is having an away game. The place has a beautiful outdoor yard with a stage where bands play during good weather. Yeah, it's really that good.

Great little bar. Nice outdoor seating options, food was solid, drinks were cold and cheap, but the hospitality really set this place apart. Every single person in here, staff and regulars, were warm and welcoming. Will absolutely be back next time in town.

Great local Dive bar.... The food is great. I love the chicken salad and BBQ burgers. The drinks are strong, and I highly recommend trying their top shelf bourbons. Durning spring and summer, they open up their back patio so you can enjoy a drink in the sunshine. They have live bands, trivia, and other fun events. It's a great crowd. Definitely recommend checking it out 👌🏻 . . The only bad thing is that sometimes the patio service is horrible, and they overlook, keeping the back patio clean.

Ordered lunch for our staff today and it was fantastic. Everything was hot, fresh and made with love. Staff was friendly. Thanks guys!

Great dive bar! Awesome homemade chips. The specialty burgers are excellent. Friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend Thursday evenings to enjoy live entertainment from Louisville legend Jim Dishman. Many other local musicians often join in and perform.

Fabulous Burgers grilled on a flattop with fresh toppings and hot Krinkle fries. Her and I both got Cheeseburgers dressed and fries, I had 2 Bottled Buds, she had Iced Tea. And the friendly bartender also brought us water. The bill was 27 and change. I left a nice tip. This was the 2nd time we went. The food and server were exactly the same, and so was the service…. Outstanding. I’ll be back again and again. I’ve spent more at Taco Bell…. So go do yourself a favor if you love a good burger and give this place a shot. It’s on Story Ave, and used to be called Big Al’s.
