Bearhill Husky

A thrilling adventure at Bearhill Husky in Finland! What a fantastic experience! The dogs were full of energy and chomping at the bit to get going. At first, they seemed a bit aggressive, but we were reassured it was just pure excitement. Once we took off, you could really feel their power and enthusiasm forging ahead. The sleds move fast with the huskies leading the way, and cruising across the frozen lake was a moment in time I will never forget! I'm so glad I dressed warmly in layers with reliable snow boots. It was cold out there but I was prepared! They also had a room filled with everything you could possibly need to stay warm, puffy suits to put over your clothes, socks, boots, gloves, blankets, and more! The tour leader was incredibly passionate, sharing her knowledge about every aspect of dog sledding from grooming and training to the dogs' careers on the team and their well-earned retirements. It’s clear these dogs are well loved and very well cared for by the staff. It was an amazing experience I’d highly recommend!

You can tell that the Bearhill team has real experience. The support was super friendly, and the transportation from the city to the huskies was excellently organized. We were thrilled that we could take a tour with the huskies, as they pay close attention to the temperatures. It's clear that the team genuinely cares and is not just a tourist attraction. One of the highlights was playing with the puppies – they are just incredibly cute! To top it off, we had the opportunity to ask questions while enjoying juice and cookies around a campfire (just a heads up, your clothes might smell a bit smoky afterwards 😉). I’m sure a tour in winter would be even more beautiful, as you can explore the snowy landscape with the dogs. Highly recommended!

Absolutely sensational - 24 on our bus including a couple of people with mobility issues, & it went great. On arrival taken to a clothes room where we got heavy duty warm coveralls, warm boots & gloves & space to leave items. Then split into groups of 4, for a 5km sled ride across a frozen lake behind a 11 dog team who loved it. After finishing, we then got to feed some treats to the huskies & give them a pat. We also had a tour of the kennels & informed of how it all works & the dogs life. Everybody we dealt with were great - the musher was very informative as we proceeded. The farm was snowy & wooded & it was a great experience.

Our family’s visit to Bearhill Husky was absolutely unforgettable! As parents with a 2.5-year-old, we were looking for an experience that would be both safe and exciting for our little one, and this husky adventure exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the team, who made sure we were comfortable and ready for the day ahead. The facilities for changing into Arctic clothing were excellent—cozy, practical, and well-organized. The warm juice served afterward was a lovely touch, especially after being out in the crisp winter air. The highlight was, of course, the husky ride. It was truly magical. The ride through the snow-covered woodland and across frozen lakes felt surreal, like something out of a fairy tale. The peaceful, remote location made it all the more special—it wasn’t overcrowded with tourists, which gave it a wonderfully personal and tranquil atmosphere. After the ride, we had the chance to meet the beautiful huskies, and it was clear that the dogs are well-loved and well-cared for. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything about the dogs, their training, and the care that goes into making this experience so exceptional. Overall, Bearhill Husky provided an experience we will treasure forever. The combination of stunning scenery, friendly staff, and the personal, intimate setting made it a perfect outing for our family. We can’t recommend it enough!

An absolute must do if you’re around Levi! The experience was one of my Lapland highlights. Tori, our guide, was really great! She provided clear instructions so that we could make the most of our time there. Also the huskies are very cute!

An excellent experience for me and my wife on our wedding anniversary. The questions and answer sessions was informative and great to see the puppies during the tour of the kennels. We loved the ride on the sleigh being pulled by the keen huskies, through the first and across the lake! Our Musher explained how the dogs are trained and have different jobs, keeping an interesting running commentary throughout. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Very nice experience, I would recommend it for first appointment, morning one. We had ours in the afternoon and started to be very cold and feeling it even worse while you are sitting in the sleigh. But, even if you choose the afternoon , at least you get a very nice sunset view
