Incredible husky experience! The dogs are friendly and full of personality. Mushing through the snowy forests and over frozen lakes was a highlight of our trip. Vera was a great guide—very thorough and patient with our questions. ​The setup was 2 people per sledge (one driver, one passenger), swapping halfway through the 90-minute tour. While sitting is relaxing, mushing is where the real fun is! The warm clothes/shoes/gloves were provided, hot drinks and cookies and good atmosphere after rides.

Tori is AMAZING. She’s our guide and has done an incredible job. The route is absolutely beautiful, and the dogs are wonderful. The ride length is just perfect - not too long and not too short. Everything was great. If you’re looking for a husky ride tour, this is definitely the place!

What an incredible experience with Bearhill Husky near Rovaniemi! We did the “Call for the Wild” husky sled tour, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The dogs were absolutely fantastic — full of energy, super friendly, and clearly very well cared for. You can really tell how much love and respect the staff have for them. The team was professional yet so warm and welcoming, making the whole adventure feel personal and smooth from start to finish. Gliding through the frozen Lapland countryside was like stepping into another world — peaceful, stunning, and unforgettable. We took a dog sledding tour and it was AMAZING! Our guide was Saga (or maybe Salga?) — she was fantastic. Said it was only her fourth tour which blew our mind since she was so incredibly professional. It was so nice to get such a personal experience— this family run business let us get up close and personal with the dogs, answered all our questions, and made us feel so welcome! Was warm and cozy the entire time with the provided gear. Every staff member we met was so kind. The post-ride q&a was really a nice touch and made us feel like it was an experience (not just a tour). The giving of gifts was a sweet thing I’ll always remember and I loved hearing the history of the place and the dogs from Saga. 10/10 recommend and would return. Highlight of our tip to Lapland!

Our experience at Bearhill Husky was absolutely wonderful! We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day, which made the whole adventure even more special. The winter scenery, the energy of the dogs, and the atmosphere during the trip created an experience we will never forget. For anyone thinking about trying it but feeling a bit nervous about driving the dog sled — there is really nothing to worry about. It is much easier than it looks, and the instructions at the beginning are very clear. After just a few minutes you relax and start truly enjoying the whole experience. We chose the 3-hour tour and honestly we didn’t even realize how quickly the time passed. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy something authentic and memorable.

Loved our husky excursion. Everyone was v friendly. The drive to the place was beautiful even came across reindeers. The dogs are beautiful and look healthy. After the tour we were allowed as much time as we wanted with them The tour was v well organised and loved driving our own sledge over the ice and through the forest. Fantastic scenery. They provided clothing and after the tour there were cookies and hot drinks in a lovely cabin.

Amazing Call of the Wild tour, viewing beautiful landscapes & interacting with the well looked after sled dogs! We booked with Bearhill Husky after reading reviews they enthusiastically cared for and considered the welfare of the dogs. All the dogs looked well cared for and happy! We learnt each dog shares a pen with a partner but have their own insulated kennels, they have mandated days off and breaks throughout the day and that they even go get physiotherapy as well as thorough vet checks regularly. Our Bearhill Husky tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Rovaniemi. Everything was seamlessly organized—from the moment we were picked up, to the warm welcome we received, to getting fitted with snow gear. We were even given neck gaiters to keep. It was clear right away how much the team cares about their dogs and the overall experience. The kennel is family-run, and the atmosphere feels warm, ethical, and genuinely passionate about sled dog culture. After the ride, we were given treats to feed the huskies, and midway through the tour we stopped at a frozen lake so the dogs could rest. It was a perfect moment for photos, and we could switch drivers if we wanted. Once the ride ended, we had more time to pet the huskies and give them treats before heading into the kota to warm up by the fire with hot glögi and biscuits while our guide chatted with us. It was not only fun but also educational. What truly stood out was the care and respect shown toward the huskies. Our guide shared so much insight about the dogs, their training, and daily life at the kennel. Their passion and knowledge elevated the whole experience, making it both adventurous and meaningful. We did many activities in Lapland, but my sons said this was their absolute favorite. We’d happily do it again if we return to Lapland. It’s a must do!
