Bearlin Bungalow Vangvieng

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful views, lovely staff, great food. Can rent a motorbike at a very cheap price to get around. The staff were the most helpful of any hotel we stayed at in Laos. They helped with travel arrangements, advised on trips and activities, and gave a pick up and drop off free of charge.

I am so happy to have chosen this property for our stay. Everywhere green, so soothing to the soul. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was so nice. Free pick up and drop from and to the railway station. The restaurant had amazing mix of german and Italian menu as well as the local menu. We tried everything and loved it.

We were very happy with our choice of Bearlin. They provided free pickup and drop off at the train station. They have breakfast and dinner times posted, and lunch on request (during July low season they never had a problem making lunch). The staff was very friendly and helpful. If coming to VV I'd highly suggest staying outside town...we stopped by town and it's really rundown. Comfy beds and good air con in room. The views were fantastic from here. The only word of caution is the pool has a ladder instead of stairs so it's difficult to get into and out.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—nestled right at the foot of the mountains. In the early morning, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of mist swirling around the peaks, which creates a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The landscaping within the hotel grounds is well-maintained, with lots of greenery that adds to the relaxing vibe. However, the breakfast selection was a bit limited. While it was sufficient, I do hope they consider offering a wider variety of options in the future. One important tip for travelers driving themselves: do not follow Google Maps if it suggests taking the southern bridge—it’s not suitable for cars. Only the bridge on the north side allows vehicle access. This is crucial to avoid unnecessary detours or getting stuck.

Peaceful and spacious bungalows with a good shower, free tea and coffee in the room and slippers! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautiful views all around of the karst mountains and so nice to be out of town. 30 min walk in or 5|Min scooter ride. They will pick you up for 50000 kip before 10pm so we walked in one evening to eat and got a lift home as the road is v dark and uneven. |Food was a basic menu but really tasty. Had a great stay here and enjoyed hiring a scooter and visiting the lagoons and viewpoints.

Stayed at this place for 3 nights. Quiet, clean and you cant beat the view. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A little away from the main city but that's what we wanted to have a peaceful place. Definitely recommend this place.

The resort is nice and the staff are great. I am giving this resort only 3 stars however ... The pool is laughably bad. It's an above-ground one made to look like an inground one. The water level was so low jumping in was hazardous, as was the ladder to get out. There was also no breakfast included, which for the price was an eyebrow raiser. All in all these reviews seem inflated. Not writing this out of malice. Just want people to know the pool is of low quality and the price is a bit high for what you get.

Clean quaint bungalow. Our porch which you could sit on had a great view of the adjacent dramatic limestone mountains. Food ok. They are a few mins out of town, which is good from a noise perspective, although quite a few microlites in the evenings, but you would hear them in any accomodation.
