A cozy stay in an excellent location - this is definitely a great place to book if you are planning on enjoying some time in Rockport!||I stayed in the queen room, which is certainly the smallest of their rooms. However, I found it charmingly cozy and very clean. There was plenty of helpful information posted about the space and the booking, and I took great advantage of their list of recommended restaurants. Since this is right on Bearskin Neck, you will find yourself right in the middle of everything, but the deck creates a lovely sense of privacy and quiet (as well as an unbeatable view of the ocean and the sunset!). My room was close to the cocktail bar next door, so I did hear some chatter, but the walls blocked out a lot of the sound and muffled it well. If you are bothered by that sort of thing, maybe try one of the middle rooms, but I really didn't mind. The bed was very comfortable, so I slept quite well. Again, everything was very clean and comfortable!||If you are thinking of visiting Rockport, this would be a great place to stay! You also get a prime parking stop in an area where parking can be hard to find.

We were so happy to revisit this wonderful small hotel. They do a wonderful job of keeping the retro charm while updating for comfort. The bed was great, the pillows were wonderful, the coffee maker was a God send. The hosts make sure you feel welcomed. There's even a deck with available munchies and cocktails attached to the Motor Lodge. The view from your room window (no matter which room you are in) is spectacular!

Stayed two nights at this no frills hotel and we picked a gem! After two weeks in the big city, this quiet, peaceful place was the best breathing space ever - so close to the waves, we were practically in the sea! Huge, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, great shower - can heartily recommend and would definitely return.

The motor Lodge is ideally situated at the end of the pier on one of the main streets in Rockport. Everything is nearby and can be reached on foot. Beautiful view of the bay on the porch, which can be accessed from every room. Information about check-in, parking and key code for the room was all provided in a timely fashion via text messaging. Very comfortable and reliable.

Can't beat the location and view. Be prepared for a tricky drive in/out on the busy pedestrian street, and parking is tight (wouldn't recommend a very large SUV or truck). Very basic room was clean and comfortable, just lacking any personality.

Very cozy old fashioned motel in the perfect location. Hosts are wonderful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Vista from the room window is breathtaking.

The room was perfect. View was stunning. Great communication. Very clean with nice amenities. Best part was being able to see the Northern Lights!!! What a treat!!!

We went to the Hideaway cocktail area situated in the shop area. Perfect spot to rest and take a break from shopping with great cocktails and charcuterie boards . Such a beautiful view.

Best weekend getaway! Olivia and others made check in seamless. I loved that the office checked in with us via text to see if we needed anything or wanted housekeeping. Everyone we spoke to was really nice. The hotel was spotless and had all the amenities we needed for our weekend. And the view was just spectacular; we could have stayed on the deck all day. We also loved how the hotel was smack dab in the middle of all the shops, galleries and restaurants! We can't wait to stay again.

I booked last minute for my birthday turnup!! The town is super super cute and cozy. Each room comes with a parking spot. Check in was seamless, Krystle greeted me with a big hello, and I can see her smile behind the mask. The lobby is spotless and they take COVID very seriously. Which I appreciate. I booked 2 rooms and requested adjoining rooms. Krystal called me to let me know she can upgrade me to a king which is next to the doubles. The rooms are clean, bathroom was clean, smelled very clean. The Acs were on when we entered. Which was AMAZING. We planned for Good Harbor Beach and it's 5 min drive not even. We had dinner in town. I have to say the best part was at check out, when Krystle took the time to ask how everything was and we shared a moment that defined my whole experience. Anyone and everyone should stay here!!!!!!!! Seriously...

First of all, this couldn't be in a more perfect location. The view from the balcony is stunning and the proximity to shopping, views, and great food are incomparable. While the rates were pricey due to the busy time we visited, it was more than worth it. I would absolutely recommend staying here. I love how flexible they are with self check-in.

Awesome view from room. Close to everything. Walkable. Room a bit small but serviceable. Kristyle was very helpful. Friendly. Pleasant stay. Not Lodge's fault but disappointed most shops, food closed Mon, Tues, Wed. Guess off season. Wish we knew when planning trip.

Great town! You won't be disappointed with this location. The views are incredible right from your door. Rooms are clean showers are good bed are comfortable! You Will Love it.

The owners are delightful upon check in and walk you to your room and are very helpful with dining ideas etc. I stayed in the Queen sized bedroom. I The room was very clean and efficient for my stay, yet a bit small. The beds could use some newer more comfortable mattresses. The view from our waterfront room, is unmatched and we slept with the windows open and the breeze from the ocean felt amazing, along with the sounds of water hitting the rocks.

What a view! The motel sits atop a rocky coast at the end of a peninsula. Everything Rockport has to offer is in walking distance, great restaurants, shopping and galleries. The motel is a gem, could be the best kept secret in Rockport. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It is small but welcoming. The rooms were immaculate and recently renovated. We stayed on the second floor which I would recommend as this area can get extremely busy. We can't wait to return.

Excellent accommodations with a spectacular view. The crashing sounds of the water at night were delightful. You won't be sorry if you stop by and spend a night or more at this facility. Don't be fooled by the term motor lodge.

I stayed at the Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge for two nights at the beginning of May on a two-week "Lobster Run" in New England. It was perfect. Very well thought-out and attractive room and bath, right on the jetty rocks with a porch over the water. Loved it, and hope to return. (Rockport is as charming a New England town as you can find and so close to Boston that I hate to spoil it by making this recommendation.)

Rockport is a lovely seaside town and this place is right in town on the water overlooking the rocky coast. Beautiful views! My husband and I watched the tide come in sitting on our balcony. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep at night. Very friendly, helpful couple who run the place. My earring was accidentally dropped down the drain and the owners were able to extract it without a problem! Many thanks to them!! Rooms are quaint, clean, and very comfortable. I look forward to staying here again! Highly recommended!

Don't know what was more charming... the view, the inn keepers/owners or the little town. Amazing stay, amazing sunset view amazing clean and quiet room. Wouldn't change a thing other than the length of our stay. We definitely could have stayed longer. We stayed in the petite room bc that's all that was left. It really was intended for 1-2 people but they were gracious enough to let us squeeze in our 10-year old. It was tight w a roller bed but it all worked. They even lent us wine glasses n a bottle opener to drink our wine on the porch as the sun set.

Amazingly perfect hotel. We went to sleep with waves crashing on the rocky shore and light fluttering of curtains from the salty fresh breeze. The bathroom had a mini tub and the staff were committed to our comfort. The small TV was nonintrustive, but available if we needed it. It was a great place to focus on each other rather than unknown or unexpected surprises or intrusions. Rooms were exceptionally clean but small, but we are small people, so it want an issue for us.

I almost don't want to post this, because the place is such a hidden treasure. But the new owners deserve it, as did the former owners, because of the way they care for their guests. Here's the secret.. the place looks from the front lake a basic motor lodge, but once you're in the room and you walk to the back porch, you have an outstanding view of the ocean in Rockport. And the prices are reasonable.

Bears. That's right. I said bears. You know what else? Motor lodge. Bears and Motor lodge. Those aren't two things you think about when you think about hotels. I mean, unless you want to live with a bear. Maybe you never really grew out of the Bernstein Bears and always wanted to live with a bear family. Or maybe Goldilocks was a tad more autobiographical than most people care to admit. However, Bears and lodging make sense when you're talking about the Bearskin Motor Lodge though there was no bear skin in my room. Bearskin is located right on the water at the tip of Bearskin neck. You get free parking for hotel guests, a beautiful room overlooking Rockport harbor. At around 9 o'clock, the neck empties out and you will be covered in silence. In face, the silence is so loud, you might not be able to sleep because of it. Luckily the sound of the ocean breaking on the rocks below your window helps to deafen the silence but it can still be pretty oppressive. The owner is great, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. There are no refrigerators or hair dryers in the room. The TV isn't large but they do have cable. There isn't an AC in the room either. If you're use to a Hilton, then this will be roughing it for you. And if staying here is considering "roughing it", then you need to get out more. The Bearskin Motor Lodge is comfortable and perfect for a romantic getaway. It's open from the beginning of May through the beginning of November.

Loved the location and atmosphere! Booked last min and took the last room available. The staff is very accommodating and informative. I came just before high season on a beautiful spring day and absolutely loved it. Rooms are comfortable and cozy and VERY clean. I would stay here again.

Found this by chance and thankfully we did! We absolutely loved it here. Everyone was so nice! I almost don't want to share this place. Haha!

My friend and I came up for four days to photograph the area and needed a place to stay. I checked a few places before deciding on Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge. This was the best decisions of this type I have ever made. What a great place with great people. The room was perfect! Super clean with everything we needed.

Jaw dropping view , quiet and clean, friendly host would definitely visit again .....perfect getaway

The owners of Bearskin Neck Lodge are extremely friendly and accommodating. I believe they live right next to the lodge. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the cove. All of the shops and restaurants in Rockport are a very easy walk from the lodge. You go right by "Motif #1" to/from the lodge. The road along Bearskin Neck is a bit small, but don't worry, your vehicle will fit through.

At least they were still open this late in the season. Great location if you plan on walking around town. Ok, now the negative stuff: my husband and I barely got any sleep. The bed was awful! Lumpy, old, caused back, leg and shoulder pain. The accommodations in general were in need of repair. There was a split in the wood of the front door. I had a hard time closing the ocean-side door. I couldn't open the screen door fully and almost fell on the one step trying to get out the door. I've had better nights at Motel 6!

My girlfriend and I had an incredible night there last week and I felt compelled to review it. The room was quaint and cozy, and the staff were sweet as can be. Also, the view out of the back was AMAZING! The only complaint I have is that it was a bit pricey for the kind of stay we had... it was great, but no where near the price we paid

This place is wonderful. Rented two rooms for two nights, for a quick family vacation. Grandparent and kids all enjoyed being able to walk everywhere given the location, and the view from the back deck, and the sound of the ocean at night, were spectacular. The rooms are updated, clean, and straightforward, perfect for a beach vacation. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We will definitely be back - highly recommend for a simple getaway in a simple (in a good way) and fun summer place.

Had an amazing stay!!! Great get away amazing owners. Clean rooms they even had a cooler I could use when I went to the beach! Really great restaurants, shopping and galleries. It's a dry town, but the serve in the restaurants when you are out to dinner and glouster is so close too! Would recommend this for anyone looking for an ocean getaway!

Great view from all rooms. Don't expect amenities. No phone, microwave, refrigerator. But a wonderful host and it is right in Rockport. Walk out your door and the shops are all right there. Hubby and I stayed two nights and would stay there again. A little pricey but it was peak season. Wonderful views and peaceful.

best location in rockport. All rooms have great views of the ocean. Shopping and great food within walking distance and friendly owners/staff. Highly recommended.

It was our first time staying at the Bearskin neck motor lodge in Rockport and we must say we were very impressed. The lodge is located right on the ocean, the porch and deck area allows for beautiful views of the harbor area, and it was great at night to listen to the ocean waves crashing....it was very peaceful! The location is also ideal because it's right on Bearskin Neck road and since you have your own parking spot, you don't have to worry about parking in the area. It was very convenient! The owners and Zoey were great and very welcoming to us! You can tell they really cared about the place and making sure your stay was great! Everything was top notch! We are definitely looking forward to staying there again!
