I've driven passed this place hundreds of times on the way to visit my family and the car park is always full which is usually a good sign. I wasn't disappointed. I booked the two course menu as a thank you to my parents for dog sitting. I had the normal menu. The staff are very friendly, professional and attentive. The atmosphere and decoration was lovely, very welcoming, relaxed and somewhat homely. The food was lovely, nice portion sizes, my Dad loved the soup to start, me and my Mum loved the stout cake absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back again. I enjoy cooking so in current times often choose to stay home as it's cheaper and nicer to cook yourself as you don't know what you'll out get but there's nothing hit n miss about this place, I was pleasantly surprised. I'd gladly come here over and over again to eat! As a bonus they're dog friendly too!

We went for a lunch on a grey, dismal December day. The food was terrific and the service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcomed and the Team were friendly and efficient. The Scotch Egg had a crispy outer, very tasty sausage meat and the egg was cooked just right. The haddock had white, firm flakes together with hot and crispy chips. The Risotto was full of mushrooms and tasted delicious. The Stout cake was similar to a sticky toffee pudding and finished the meal off perfectly. We left feeling very full and very happy - even the weather seemed a little brighter! I highly recommend the Bearslake Inn.

Booked The Bearslake for Sunday lunch before we came away. Lovely Inn. Sunday lunch was fabulous. My husband had the trio and I had the pork. The flavours were great, gravy was tasty and the portion size was enough. My husband ordered the Sticky Toffee pudding and this was a really generous portion. He just about manged to eat it. Wines were good. Staff lovely and attentive without being over fussy. Would highly recommend.

I cannot thank the staff at the Bearslake Inn enough, We had an amazing stay, from food to the venue its self. The level of attentiveness towards us and our dogs was superb. We ate each night at the Inn and tried something new and delicious each time, We even hung around before leaving to try their famous Sunday roast, Well worth the Wait! There is nothing I could fault with this place.

Arrived at this pub on a wet and windy night and it was in darkness! Power
failure.
We were made welcome and brought drinks while we waited for power to be restored.
Lovely meal and great service.
Pub was decorated ready for Christmas and had a lovely atmosphere.

Had lunch here with friends after a walk on the moors. I had roast beef with good crispy potatoes, cauliflower cheese, greens, sage and onion stuffing and a very tasty Yorkshire pudding. Cheese board for afters, also good and included quince jelly and a tasty prune purée which was different. Staff were friendly and let us park are car there early to do our walk.

We had lunch from the a la carte menu - the food was outstanding and the service very good. All the food was absolutely delicious - our mains were rump steak, cooked rare and to perfection, steak burgers with fries and the wild mushroom ravioli, plus interesting and scrumptious side orders. Fabulous desserts and decent coffee to finish.

During a roundtrip through the southwest of the UK with my daughter, we stayed at Collaven Manor (excellent, by the way) and your restaurant was highly recommended by the owners. You certainly didn't dissappoint : the welcome was warm, the pub was everything you could expect from an old country pub, the dinner was delicious (I had the dry-aged sirloin steak and the milk chocolate mousse for dessert, my daughter the wild mushroom ravioli and the chef's cheese selection! The service was excellent, as were the G & T's. All in all a memorable evening. Although on the pricey side, it was absolutely worth it. Warmest greeting from the Netherlands.

Yelp
Great pub with lovely food. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and has a nice stream at the bottom of it.
It's a nice place to stop if you are riding your bike along the Granite Way. Bikers in muddy clothes and children are welcome!
