I loved the selection of books and spiritual care items. The customer service was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I haven’t experienced this level of care taken into the packaging of my purchase at any other botanica. Looking forward to returning.

The vibe of this place feels like coming home. The book selection is so beautifully diverse with all types of literature on various paths of African Traditional Religions. The owner, Shantrell, gives vibes of Orisha, medicine woman, business guru, and sista-friend. Brook, the woman who did my ancestral reading...all I can say is that she has a gift from the Divine. She provided a reading that was clear, very specific, and detailed. When I spoke to an elder in my family afterward, everything Brook said was confirmed (I knew she was on point during the reading, but it was great to have that confirmation!). Go to Beaucoup Hoodoo - you will come out changed and ready to grow in your path.

When I tell you I was looking for this place before it opened and just happened to see it one day on my way down germantown avenue.... I immediately thanked my ancestors because every Botanica I looked at wasn't the right one. This, is for US. Energy unmatched, customer service is amazing, everyone is so open and helpful, I felt right at home. Things I needed and didn't know where to get were littteraly waiting for me on the shelves of this store. You don't want to miss this one. So happy to see such a beautiful buisness open up in our neighborhood, thank you.

Y'all...This shop feels like home! It feels like a lost distant & familiar past that you walk right into... like Deja Vu. It's an experience! The details are BEAUTIFUL in this shop from the ceiling, down the walls & to the floors & windows! Warm, cozy, elegant, inviting, orderly & dope! This Botanica isn't for browsing... go in & purchase what you need for your bovida, egun, spiritual work, cleanings, cleansings, etc. The owner is dedicated, sharp, lovely & just a true sistah!... much respect & appreciation for your "YES" sis. Shantrelle! Continued success & prosperity to you for this great work and offering you've made available in our immediate community! Peace & ASE, Lisa~💐🦋

Beaucoup Hoodoo is an amazing bookstore and Botaníca located on Philly’s historic Germantown road adjacent to the Germantown Historical Society. This space has the perfect learning and practical tools for those interested in African Spirituality and African Traditional Religions (ATRs). The owner, Shantrelle, is very knowledgeable about ATRs and has been doing this work for almost two decades. The space is equipped with a beautiful collection of rare books and spiritual items. A blessed and trusted space for sure.
