Beaufort Hotel (Beaufort, North Carolina) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Beaufort, North Carolina may as well be synonymous with Outer Banks mystique, at once coastal, historic, upscale, and dripping with Southern hospitality. The Beaufort Hotel channels all of that and more, enjoying a place of privilege on the becalmed Taylor Creek with a welcoming stretch of porchfront. Rooms come appointed in a contemporary nautical style with shiplap wall treatments, pendant lighting, and rigging line accents. Live music every weekend draws a crowd of locals and travelers alike." - Tablet Hotels

Our family’s stay at The Beaufort Hotel in Beaufort, North Carolina was a quietly impressive experience from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by an exceptionally warm valet attendant, welcoming, efficient, and genuinely great. While we ultimately chose not to use valet service, it was reassuring to know it was available. An added convenience: a nearby charging station within easy walking distance, where we parked with ease. Our first interaction by phone set the tone for the stay. A gracious front desk associate, her name may have been Valencia or Veronica (not sure) handled our check-in and made us feel both welcomed and valued. Despite arriving slightly ahead of schedule, she graciously accommodated an early check-in, a gesture that immediately elevated the experience. The hotel itself strikes a thoughtful balance between modern refinement and coastal tradition. Natural light pours through the public spaces, lending the interiors an airy, relaxed elegance. Our room was impeccably clean and well appointed, but it was the bathroom and sweeping water views that truly stood out peaceful, restorative, and unmistakably coastal. There were occasional sounds from the hallway and a few muffled bumps from above, curious given our top-floor location, though none disrupted our rest. During the holiday bustle, we did experience a couple of unanswered calls to the front desk, but the otherwise attentive service and seasonal demands made this understandable. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the addition of an on-site ice-skating rink offers a charming, unexpected touch especially for families. Overall, The Beaufort Hotel delivers a refined yet approachable stay, and it’s one we would gladly return to.

Excellent staff from ballet to front desk to hostess two waiters and waitresses Bartenders and crew, everyone was top-notch. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We love the pet friendly environment. We were able to take our dog with us wherever we went. They even had special tables in the restaurant and bar area for us to have our dog with us. It was amazing. Thank you so much. We will be back.

Cannot say enough about this stunning location on Taylor Creek. Starting with valet service + a warm welcome at Reception we knew this was a hotel we would be coming back to. Our room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom, comfortable mattress and great pillows. The robes were a nice touch. We dined outside with perfect weather and saw a beautiful sunset. Coffee + applewood bacon was delicious. My only complaint was the Belgian waffle + pancakes. They were heavy. Honestly I make better ones. It was minor. The hotel is 2 miles from downtown + very quiet. Once in our room we never heard a sound. We’ll definitely go back.

Excellent hotel on the water on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, a real family vacation destination. Our room was super, A/C easily controllable, bed very comfortable, bathroom super. Had a problem with the shower drain, but maintenance cleared it. Restaurant and bar are first rate, great food and drink, super service. Check in/out was easy peasy. Valet parking very convenient, only $15 a day, which wasn't bad. Close to downtown area, Morehead City, Fort Macon, Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle. We had a great Thanksgiving vacation with family for 4 days.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and wedding at the Beaufort Hotel, and it was absolutely perfect! Everything went so smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was wonderful. The water views were absolutely gorgeous and made such a beautiful backdrop for the whole weekend. It was so nice to be able to give guests the option to stay on site so that no travel was needed. Our guests loved every moment, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We’re so grateful to the team at the Beaufort Hotel for making our wedding so special!

The Beaufort Hotel in Beaufort, NC is absolutely outstanding! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with genuine southern hospitality and stunning waterfront views. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The on-site restaurant and bar offer delicious coastal cuisine and craft cocktails, perfect for a relaxing evening. Every detail, from the décor to the service, feels thoughtful and high-end. It’s the ideal getaway for anyone wanting to experience luxury, comfort, and the charm of Beaufort’s waterfront!

Google
Great hotel in an okay locarion. Clean, warm, and inviting, but we paid a fairly hefty upgrade fee to have a water view room and we’re looking at a boat dock on a narrow channel. Staff is kind and welcoming. The on-site restaurant is excellent. A good stay but I wouldn’t come to the area just for this.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at 30 Degrees North in Beaufort, North Carolina. Our waitress, Molly, was amazing — incredibly efficient, knowledgeable, and truly a professional through and through. She took such great care of us.||The food was very good, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the meals were. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and one of the best parts was that it wasn’t too noisy — we could actually enjoy real conversation.||Overall, this is a great spot and truly a little hidden gem that many people may not know about. Highly recommend visiting 30 Degrees North if you’re in the area!

Yelp
Destination wedding... Need I say more. What a concept. Let's find the most impossible place for all of our family and friends to watch us show our love for each other and say I do. Beaufort, North Carolina never even heard of it until I was told that this is where wedding was going to be take place. No one, not the bride, the groom, or anyone invited, is even from North Carolina so I really have no idea why my niece picked this place. No direct flights and it's a 3 1/2 hour drive from Raleigh. 85 people trecked from all over the country. The Hotel specializes in beautiful waterfront weddings. They offer a complete wedding package which includes discounted hotel rooms. Not sure I'd call it a discount. Instead of the normal rate of $375 we were offered the bargain price of $350. The hotel is nice. It has a small pool, a gym, and a very nice lobby. I'm not quite sure it warrants the price tag. As for the wedding, it was hot in the pavilion. It was on the water , but between the bride and groom and the entire wedding party, you couldn't really see the water. The reception was beautiful and I have to say they got the extra star because the food was excellent. A fresh seafood bar with fresh oysters, shrimp, clams and scallops, during the cocktail hour and a fabulous selection of passed hors d'oeuvres. Dinner was very good too. Roast Beef and Fish with a pasta and vegetables. Dessert bar was special... with a nice selection of cobblers, chocolate lava cake and ice cream. The evening was lovely and the hotel did a nice job.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! Rooms are spacious and clean and have robes/slippers available. The hotel has a shuttle that will pickup and drop off downtown (2ish miles) and runs every 30 minutes. There is a full service restaurant/bar onsite as well and they offer room service- the turkey avocado club sandwich is delicious. Valet is available for $15 a day and you can get your vehicle as often as needed.

Yelp
I booked a room a day before we were scheduled for my sisters birthday. Less than 12 hours later, my sister came down with the flu and we could not go on the trip. I called the hotel and they refused to refund my money. They had plenty of open rooms, I had booked 12 hours before. It was pure greed and it was just bad juju. I would never stay there and never recommend. Bad customer service.

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights and wanted a Waterview room with a balcony. The room was nice but you couldn't sit on the balcony because the vented ac was on the wall blowing hot are at you and noise was loud. I was very disappointed I couldn't sit outside to enjoy a drunk and look at the water. Breakfast at their restaurant was good, but dinner was very disappointing. We sat inside and wish we had not. It's so cold in the restaurant I was shivering and your food gor cold as soon as they set it down on the table. Why would the hotel keep the air at an uncomfortable temperature? Not sure we will return again. Our first visit was epic since we had a room in main building above the reception and a wonderful balcony. Oh well it was nice to get away.

Yelp
We were invited to this beautiful boutique resort for a family wedding. Beaufort Hotel- beautiful, peacefully quiet and elegant waterside resort alongside Taylor Creek close to the nearby historic Beaufort district. Rooms- were very welcoming, spacious and tastefully appointed. It was so inviting to walk into a nicely cooled air conditioned space after coming in from a long drive in the sweltering summer heat!! There were nice comfortable lounge chairs inside our room, with enough outlets to plug in and a nice bedside Qi wireless pad to recharge all the devices you could possibly need! A very nice additional touch was finding thick terry cloth hotel robes and slippers in the closet to use in the room or for maybe at the pool during your stay. Restaurant offers many different services to enjoy meals throughout your stay and they have a larger private ballroom area on the second floor for weddings, celebrations and private gatherings. The hotel is situated right along part of the Taylor Creek and views can be enjoyed from several vantage points either from inside the hotel's dining room with floor to ceiling windows or enjoy a leisurely walk around the wrap around dock where small boat craft are docked and you can watch as they mosey along the waterfront area. Amenities- pool area is outdoors with lounge chairs and there was an ability to order food from their local restaurant and it could be delivered right to you at poolside. There is also a gym which I did not use. Parking is valet for $15 per night or you may use self parking which is located off the street before entering the main driveway. The rooms and hotel public spaces were clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly. I struck up a conversation with a very nice local boat captain who was on the dock and saw me walking and enjoying the views. We shared our thoughts about the Rachel Carson Preserve and how her impact left such a wonderful legacy to preserve these precious areas not only in NC but also up in Maryland where I had traveled from. This led to more of a reason to come back when more time is allowed to do further exploring as the resort is located not too far from the historic district area.

Yelp
I enjoyed a two-night stay here between Christmas and New Year's. The exterior has a sort of New England clapboard vibe and interior is modern coastal. I went for one of the premium waterfront rooms; I was able to get it for a very good rate by booking well in advance, but I noticed they were very expensive for booking later. As far as I can tell, there are only four of these rooms and they are in the "main" building on the second floor above the lobby and check-in desk. The rest of the rooms are in a separate building about a hundred feet or so away, where the rooms on one end would have the waterway view but the bulk of those rooms would have iffy views. I believe the website calls some of them "urban views," but as the hotel is located a couple of miles down a road that's populated with warehouse and industrial-type structures your interpretation may be different. At any rate, the actual waterfront views are very nice indeed. My room was pretty fresh and very spacious with noticeably high ceilings. There was a water-damaged tile in the entryway ceiling and a couple of the pillowcases were frayed, but otherwise everything was in good shape. The shower is huge, but didn't have one of those wand attachments that are becoming standard in upscale places. I particularly liked the bedside light fixtures that were done like those glass balls used to float fishermen's nets. The staff were all friendly and efficient, particularly in the bar area. The lounge area is large and nice, and the food at the restaurant was above average. Valet parking is $15 a night, which is reasonable as these things go. I self-parked the first night, but after dealing with the five or ten minute walk to the lot a few times, I gave in and valeted the second night. I'm not lazy (really), but after a couple of hikes back and forth, the bloom was off the rose. As I mentioned earlier, the hotel is located a couple of miles out of town down an industrial road, so if you are looking to walk everywhere, this may not be the place for you. However, it's about a five-minute drive to town and in the off-season there is plenty of easy parking and you can walk everywhere from there.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely! Rooms are great size, clean and the grounds are also well maintained. The shuttle service to dwntn Beaufort is such a fantastic bonus. We also had dinner twice at the restaurant.. food was wonderful. There is a nice size pool, the only thing they should add is a few more chairs there.. but we did go during the week of July 4th .. so it may not be a problem on a regular basis. Front desk day staff were fantastic! The beautiful "back porch" over the waterway was such a nice place to relax with a book! We will be back!

Yelp
I can see why this place gets such terrible reviews. I called and attempted to make a reservation yesterday. The woman I spoke to on the phone taking my reservation was the absolute worst. I had to repeat everything twice to her. She made mistakes taking down my email address, my name, credit card number, etc. She had a room for me, then didn't, then did in a different location, then didn't, then finally changed the price. I told her forget it and hung up. I sent my review to the hotel about my horrible experience. The next day I received an email from Erika Hernandez, the supervisor of the people who take reservations. I called her and we spoke on the phone. She spent the time making excuses for the incompetent person I had talked to when I attempted to make reservations the day before. She implied that I wasn't articulate enough and the woman taking reservations "didn't understand what I was asking for". She made no attempt whatsoever to rectify the problem. I was referred to the Beaufort Hotel by a client and friend of mine. I can see why this place gets such bad reviews for a supposedly upper-scale hotel. This place should be getting all 5-star reviews. I won't be staying there and neither will my friend. He was appalled when I told him about my experience. It's sad that a hotel in such a nice location has such poor management. They need to make some changes in management personnel and work on their lack of customer service.

Yelp
Excellent place, beautiful view, beautiful building and room are awesome, cleaned each day as far as we can tell. Breakfast is also pretty good and reasonably priced. One less star because: 1. Unless you take the valet (reasonably price at $15) you have to park your car 3 blocs from the hotel. 2. The wifi is unprotected (n pwd) I.e. easier to hack your phone. Surprising for a hotel this caliber. $200 the night was also a good price but it is in November so...

Yelp
We enjoy going to the Beaufort and Harkers Island area. This was the year we were going to seriously look for real estate. We decided to book a room early for a full week. We wanted a balcony with a view of the water. I couldn't find one that allowed us to check in on Saturday and depart the next Saturday. We called and they booked us a room, but only Monday to Monday for a balcony with a view of the water. Even the confirmation email said King Bed, Balcony with View. To our surprise, we had a view alright, it was of a HUGE Generac generator outside of our first floor room with a patio. On the other side of the generator was a large parking lot. We didn't get the urban view, we got the hood view. I had a better view off of my deck at home. This placed ruined our vacation before it could even get started. We complained, but of course it went absolutely nowhere. I paid $15 per day for the valet parking and when I was outside looking at the huge generator, I saw one of their moronic valet personnel whipping into the parking lot with our BMW and parking it 10 feet from where I was standing. Well, that would be the last they drive my vehicle. I just walked out the sliding door and got my own vehicle when I came and went. Twice we got back to our room after 6:00 pm and housekeeping still never touched it. I asked multiple times for them to run a mop or something over our fake laminated hardwood floors. Never happened. So, we had sand in our room that stuck to our feet if we didn't have slippers on. Multiple rooms had dogs that barked at night and early in the morning. Outside, there was enough dog feces on the ground to make an animal shelter look like the Taj Mahal. I could hear people running in the room above us and heavy walking like there was a 500 pound gorilla walking around. We would go to the patio at the main building only to find all the outside tables covered in beer bottles and dirty glasses. They kept the bright lights on so you couldn't have a romantic evening at all. The part of town this hotel sits in is not the best area. It is the hood. No other way of saying it. I think they put lipstick on a pig to fool people, but it is still a pig. You can't tout you are a five star hotel when I have stayed in 2 star hotels that were better. Go to the Double Tree on Atlantic Beach instead. At least you are guaranteed a view of the ocean.

Yelp
Here's the good news. Beautiful place, beautiful location, beautiful decor, and beautiful people. Parking is a five minute walk from the hotel to a very run down unattended gravel parking lot that looks like it is storage to homeless boats, boat trailers and machinery. There are multiple EV charging stations that appear to be 50 years old. Rusty and falling apart. The first morning I went down to the lobby to grab coffee. No cups were available ( they had run out) and when they did bring them there were only paper cups to use. Then I found that the coffee urn was empty. Not a good start to my day. That evening we met friends at the bar before a dinner away and I ordered a house Old Fashioned drink at the bar which was pretty good but my tab was $23.49!? for one drink!? On Masters weekend we came back from dinner and found no cable tv available to watch The Masters! The room was on the ground floor and the running and stomping around on the floor above was very annoying. It truly is a very expensive boutique hotel that needs to address some basic problems.

E J.

Yelp
If you go on a weekend and you're not invited to the wedding, DON'T GO! It is impossible to escape the noise. It's a beautiful facility but they don't care that you have to listen to the reception, most specifically the band, for 3 and a half hours!! At $400/night, this is not worth it. Save your money and book somewhere else. You can thank me later.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful, relaxing, and remote. It's not located in the main part of Beaufort, instead is down a dead-end road about 7 minutes drive from the town. Which is just fine, bc it's super quiet and unassumingly located on the water overlooking the ponies. Beautiful. Everything here is taking advantage of the water - rooms face the water (mostly), their restaurant and main lobby building face the water and marina, etc. Parking is a bit off - located about two blocks walk in a gravel lot that is not gated or monitored and looks kind'a sketchy. It's free, or you can valet for $15 a day. Additionally, the pool area is kind'a basic. The grounds are carefully and pristinely maintained and the hotel rooms are luxuriously appointed with beautiful bathrooms with large showers, comfy beds and linens, and automated blackout curtains. Check-in was easy and we were upgraded to a larger room bc it was our honeymoon. Staff were extremely nice at check-in, valet, and restaurant. We ate at the co-located 34 Degrees North restaurant for dinner our first night and sat out by the marina on the deck and loved it. Great food. Breakfast there was a bit less impressive with cold waffles and hard toast, but it was ok and fair priced. The reason for knocking off a star is because we had to move rooms after the first night bc, while the rooms are beautiful, they're not sound-proof and we could hear the people above us stomping around for hours. Still, a solid and relaxing place.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. I visited for a conference and was surprised at how lovely this hotel was. The only terrible thing was the parking situation so I chose to valet. I also loved the walks to the small downtown and there is also a shuttle that runs to downtown if you don't want to walk.

Yelp
I booked a water view room for the weekend I planned to ask my girlfriend to marry me. I asked the front desk crew to decorate my room and ice down champagne. They were very accommodating and made the weekend a great weekend. Harold at the front desk was a huge help in making this weekend memorable. The bar has a great bourbon selection. Like Share

Yelp
My wife and I got married at the Beaufort Hotel in the first half of August this year, and we could not be happier with the venue and their staff. Our wedding was more beautiful and more fun than we ever dared to imagine. Every single guest - from the small children to the silver-haired elders - had a really great time. We had a small/medium guest list for our wedding (around 50) so we chose to have the wedding at The Boathouse at Front Street Village, which is right next to the hotel, rather than the big lawn at the hotel (which also looks like a beautiful place to hold the ceremony). The venue was amazing for pictures and dancing and everyone had a blast; the food was delicious (or so I am told by everyone in attendance, my wife and I had to scarf our food down so quickly I hardly remember it); and the staff was on their A-game all night. In fact, the Beaufort Hotel staff did such a great job we feel compelled to shout some of them out by name: Amanda Lewis: the best Event Manager in the business! Well, she's the only one I've had occasion to work with, but she made us feel well taken care of throughout the entire wedding planning process. She kept us on track with decisions we had to make, was always happy to jump on a quick call to answer our (incessant) questions, and made sure the day of the wedding went very smoothly. She also went above and beyond to work with us to swap out parts of the menu and help us pick a delicious meal that fit our budget. The Beaufort Hotel Staff who served at the wedding (James, Ben, Ayanna, and Hailey): this crew did an impeccable job. The food was seamlessly brought out and whisked away at the end of dinner. They did the same for the cake (and did a great job cutting it in the back). The bartender, James, was very charming and kept the drinks coming all night. Ben, Ayanna, and Hailey were super efficient, polite, accommodating, and thoughtful (Ayanna even thought to make sure we got our cake toppers before leaving). I could not be happier with the phenomenal service they provided. I'm so sorry if I left anyone's name off this list (I got James the bartender to write their names down) because this crew provided such great service and they deserve to be recognized. If you have your wedding here, make sure to ask for the elite service squad of James, Ben, Ayanna, and Hailey. Jenny (front desk employee): amazing hotel employee that made us feel so, so welcome. Some of my new in-laws who stayed at the hotel for the wedding speak only Spanish. When they arrived at the hotel, one of the older ladies was car sick from the long drive. Jenny came out from the front desk and immediately offered assistance, speaking with my in-laws in Spanish and welcoming them to the hotel. It meant a lot to my in-laws to have a Spanish-speaking employee be so friendly and welcoming even while one of them was feeling so sick. Note for the Beaufort Hotel - bilingual employees are a HUGE asset! Hotel bartender (I think his name was Chris - the New Yorker): the most stereotypically amazing bartender. Picture for a moment the character of "charming bartender in light comedy movie" - that's Chris. Quick with the quips and the pours, he was supremely charismatic and fun when we stopped in at the bar the night after our wedding. He (and the lovely hotel guest who bought our drinks) made that night very memorable. And others too - the valets, the shuttle bus driver, and all of the staff we interacted with at the hotel were delightful people who made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself earns high marks too - the rooms are very nice with extremely comfortable beds, great showers, and refined interior design; the landscape and setting are beautiful; the hotel pool has a bar that serves great cocktails; and the hotel runs a shuttle that will drop you off in downtown Beaufort and pick you back up. Overall, a 10/10 experience at the Beaufort Hotel. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel as the venue for your wedding or as the place to stay while visiting the beautiful NC east coast.

Yelp
Nice hotel in an amazing location. The restaurant was good and the business practices are honest.

Yelp
The room was clean, up to date, and the bed was super comfortable. The lobby and back deck were great for just hanging out, having a bite to eat, and cooling off on a hot day. We spent a little time at the pool, but the profanity and loud music from other guests sent us back inside. When we got back inside, housekeeping had taken all but one of our towels, and left no clean towels for us. Later that day, we returned to the room and there was a clear trash bag in our walkway filled with towels. Weird experience, but we were glad to be able to finally shower off.

Yelp
Excellent. I was heading into town and looking for just a decent place to stay and stumbled across a great deal for BH, so I booked it and once I showed my local friend they immediately started raving about it and how lovely the place was, so I was excited to see it in person and luckily it lived up to the pix I saw online as well as the hype my friend provided. The staff were all excellent and professional, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the shower made me envious that I'd be leaving it one day (but we'll always have the memories!); the shower pressure was AMAZING and it was just such a relaxing shower. Overall, it was just an excellent experience.

Yelp
This is probably one of the nicer hotels in the area. It is on the higher end of a quality hotel for NC/SC area. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful and polite. Our room had a nice view out to the other islands. The room was a good size and plenty of room to stretch out. The shower/bathroom was spacious as well. Daily room service was not available due to the ongoing pandemic. On the negative side, the hotel has an event room outside to the south of the hotel, ruining an otherwise picturesque view. Parking is another issue. Self-parking is some 200-300 yards away, though valet parking is available. We left several times to go sight-seeing or dinner, and never had an issue with prompt valet service. I would repeat if in the area again.

Yelp
Everyone has an opinion and this is mine This is spot is more for couples and R&R stays, it was a very peaceful and quiet place near the water. Whoever renovated the Hotel, built it decorated this site did an amazing job. The Hotel has lovely fixtures, they put a good amount of detail in the area. There is parking across the street in a dirt parking lot, they will valet your car for a small fee while you stay or eat at there restaurant. Close to boat tours in the area as well as precious local shops. Plus they have an onsite restaurant with room service available. There are is a outdoor pool and hottish tub (it was not heated when we tried it) The hotel offers a fire pit to sit around at night as well as other lovely outdoor seating. The restaurant and lobby was nicely decorated. Unfortunately for me the food didn't hit the mark. I had a waffle and even though nicely presented was tough to cut with a knife. The omelettes are hot and fresh as well as the home fries. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs if any. I will go back!

Yelp
5 STARS We made reservations with David. I can not speak highly enough about him! He was FANTASTIC! He even took time out of his day to explain to me the events that would be going on this weekend to ensure me and my mom would enjoy our trip to the fullest! He made making reservations so easy and his communication is outstanding! We checked in today. A little disappointed at the front desk help, especially after being treated so kindly by David, I guess we expected the same customer service all the way around. The lady told me the room had been cleaned but that it had not been inspected yet, so we couldn't check in..... great..... no problem. My mom and I headed over to the restaurant to grab lunch (it was 1:00). After lunch, we went back to the front desk. I said "just checking to see if our room is ready". She said "it's been cleaned but it hasn't been inspected yet and check in isn't until 4:00 anyways". Okay, not a problem. It's about 2:30, so we have a seat on the couch in front of the front desk and wait patiently. My mom asked what was wrong and I told her "check in isn't until 4:00". The lady then yells to my mom "we still need to inspect the room". Even though no one was speaking to her. She was just being rude. Then shift change at 3:00...... she leaves. AS SOON AS she left, I went to the front desk to let them know we were waiting on a room and guess what???? Our room was ready and had been ready. She made my 76 year old mom wait in the lobby for a room that was ready. I get that check in is at 4:00, I do, but other people were checking in as well. The restaurant...... I can not say enough great things about it either. The service was warm, welcoming and just fantastic! The food was hot, fresh, and more food than we could eat. The prices aren't that bad either. Room..... we get to the room and we are just blown away. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be "classy". From the decor when you open the door, to the light fixtures, to the shower, the tile in the bathroom, right down to the bedding. Everything was PERFECT! We have been here less than 24 hours, and, beside check in, everyone has made us feel welcomed and at home! And who knows, maybe that lady was just having a bad day..... it happens. I would recommend this hotel for business, friends trip, mother/daughter trip, family, couples, and any other occasion! It will not disappoint!

Yelp
We checked in an hour early with non problem. They provide valet parking for $15 a day or you can self park which is about 2 blocks down the street. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. The valet attendants were equally as friendly and eager to please. We arrived to the room and found in well appointed and clean. The hotel is implementing their own Covid standards which worked for us. The hotel has a full bar and restaurant as well as a store that has various sundries. The bathroom is updated, clean and well lit. The room is comfy and well cleaned. The bed is one of the nicest I've slept in away from home. The property is beautiful. Ok. Update The night before checkout. The Restaurant on property closes at 9. That super sucks. Off the lobby there is a small Store. They have various things. Trail Mixes, drinks, Aspirin etc. The pool and hot tub is nice. This will be the only Place we ever stay in Beaufort!

Yelp
Worst experience I've ever had. We got here at 3:00, check in is at 4:00 - for a 6:00 wedding. Here we are still without a room and are about to miss the wedding that WE CAME HERE FOR! Terrible service, so unorganized. Don't come here

Yelp
Where to start? Nice rooms, B property in a poor location. Staff is poorly trained, surly and out of their league. Betting none of them have ever traveled. I am in the room which views the generator, if you read the one star review you will understand. I had dinner at the bar last night, Bo the bartender did a great job. Unfortunately the food sucked. Started with Charcuterie, the cheese and meat were right out of a 7-Eleven. We were celebrating a Bday so we went for Champagne and Caviar, pretty hard to screw that up. The caviar was served with fresh cream and Pringles. YES A $185 TIN OF CAVIAR SERVED WITH FING PRINGLES. Not only are Pringles filled with chemicals, terrible for you, they are loaded with salt. You can't taste the caviar. They did not have anything to put the caviar on that did not over power the eggs. I ended up eating it out of the tin. Basically this a low brow place pretending to be high brow. I suggest sticking with shrimp and grits and leave the fancy food to the fancy folks!

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel, would make a great place for an event, the staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Room was spotless, very comfortable bed, and big shower! The only issue we had was no self parking, we like to leave things in the vehicle and get in and go whenever we take a mind, but valets were very friendly and quick. It would be nice too if the hotel offered a shuttle service to Front Street business. 34 North Restaurant was beautiful with stunning views. Food was good, service was great.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to stay! It's lovely grounds, waterfront views, and classy ambience really sets this place apart from other places in this area. I absolutely loved the decor, the size of the room, and the size of the bathroom. The little touches here and there were also appreciated such as the towels and the Tommy Bahama toiletries. The only downside to the whole experience was the parking situation. $16 a day to valet or you walk a mile to self park. Other than that, GREAT HOTEL!

Yelp
Everything about this hotel is WONDERFUL! I hosted a large event for 100+ guests and the hotel staff was absolutely the BEST! Everyone is so very helpful and kind! All welcome you with a smile and the best of service! Ashley, with the valet was so helpful and fun, a great energy! The hotel is BEAUTIFUL and the restaurant has great drinks and food! If you are planning a getaway, looking for a wedding venue, or a venue to host a party... this IS your place! Look no further, it has it ALL!

Yelp
currently sitting up at 11:30 pm waiting for the full blast music and people screaming to stop... called the front desk and asked for it to please be turned down and was told I had to wait until midnight. this is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel to expect their guests to just listen to blaring music and people literally screaming until midnight. this isn't a nightclub!!!

Yelp
We enjoyed our nights stay at the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. We drove a motorcycle and could park right out front, but the normal parking situation isn't great. Long walk or ballet. We did not eat on site but the employees were great in sharing local places to eat and shop. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
Highs and lows with this property. Beautiful property and views. Comfy bed and pillows, large shower, basic room has fridge, tv, hair dryer. Guests are pigs here. Trashed the pool and hot tub area-staff didn't clean until end of night, trash overflowing and scattered everywhere, kids stealing other guests towels and parents did nothing. VIP parking lost my car keys for 45 minutes then tried to lie to me about it. Park yourself...Front desk staff was rude to me and try to charge me another $400 for a night I had already prepaid online. Then they charge my card after I left $3 for a Rachel Carson Reserve that I know nothing about? Waiter at restaurant charged my kid adult meal yet she ordered off kid menu and he did not correct it. The one coffee pot is constantly out of coffee with people waiting for it. You can only get the coffee in the morning in the lobby. Early morning no cream or sugar until restaurant opens then they will bring the cream and sugar out...??? They need to train better and offer some better servicing especially for what you pay here.

Yelp
This experience had been amazing! Celebrating our 1year Anniversary here was the best decision! Our checkin was quick and easy, very friendly front desks staff! Our room was gorgeous and clean. The shower is so big and romantic with the decorative glass. We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Rude front desk staff. "Quiet" room on top of the road. No bellman. Resort spread out in an industrial part of town. Stay anywhere but here.

Yelp
Great relaxing place. Fantastic pool! Super clean, roomy space. The bathroom is amazing.

Yelp
The hotel is nice, not all the staff. Harold at the front desk was not helpful and was rude to his female staff. Incompetent. Couldn't get good answers for anything. I'm friends with some of Bucky's crew. Need to overhaul management. I did see several violations from osha to labor laws being broken.

Yelp
I'm giving a 5 star but I would like to qualify that rating. It is a beautiful brand new hotel. All the employees were very nice. The one problem is that there is apparently no insulation between the floors. We could hear the person above us walking. It was very loud. Maybe partially because the floors are a hard surface. So, I would request a top floor room if I stayed there again. The setting is very peaceful with rocking chairs on the common area porches that face the waterway. Loved the large with a great shower head. I had no trouble adjusting the temperature.

Yelp
This is a posh hotel. They were still building major parts of it. It will have, of course, a pool, hot tub, full service restaurant, conference center and fitness room (which is available now). Being a beach location they smart to not carpet the rooms. They had stand up shower only (I would have liked to have a tub though) and the interior design was gorgeous. I'll post pictures. There were only a couple of things we noticed that were not up to par with the rest. Our toilet seat did not fit the toilet so when you sat on it, slid slightly to the right. The hair dryer was cheap. Granted it's a hair dryer, it doesn't need to be top of the line, but I've had better at lesser places. The shower had two temps, too hot and too cold. I fiddled with it for over 30 mins and there was nothing in between. Not good for kids. Our patio door was out of alignment. When we called the front desk to double check if the linen had feathers, they said they'd find out and call us back. Well, this guy was abrupt and not friendly, and you probably figured, he did not call back. So we pulled all the bedding off the bed to check the labels. All allergenic friendly. Oh and they have a lake on property, I believe, so they can offer fishing. So four stars for the quick build and corner cuts but overall a great place to stay.

Yelp
Glorified Howard Johnsons's. We stayed there for a long weekend recently and the service was terrible. The hotel did not have enough staff to clean our rooms. So for Five days we had no new towels, we had to empty our own garbage......Not a full service hotel. Oh, if you rent one of their golf carts be careful.....our wasn't clean and we almost ran out of gas.

Yelp
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The Beaufort Hotel is gorgeous, new and vibrant and yet utterly peaceful with its soothing seaside palette and coastal decor. The room we had was stunning with a view of the pool, a very comfortable bed and a shower stall big enough to have held a twin size mattress had we wanted to give our little girl her own space. lol The restaurant is impeccable in both decor and its food and cocktails. We rarely left the hotel at all: it was the perfect place to rest after a visit to Walt Disney World in August (just don't--that's my advice on that!)

Yelp
This place is beautiful! I, along with others, dislike the off site parking. We arrived on a rainy night and were told to either pay for valet or park down the street. We parked down the street and lugged our bags, through the rain, back to our room. There were plenty of nice golf carts there, but no one offered to help. First impressions are real. I felt immediately this place is all about $ and not the customers. The little things matter to me. The walls are thin!!! Dogs barking all hours of the night, doors closing, feet stomping above you.....ALL NIGHT LONG! The rooms were Gorgeous! I loved the look. The lama net flooring is pretty, but is probably the reason I heard every step out upstairs neighbors took. (They were part of a wedding party and had heels on too, which didn't help.) We could stay at Holiday Inn and have the same experience for a much better price. We probably won't be back.

Yelp
Very good hotel. Modern clean and fresh rooms. Modern bathroom with spacious walk in shower. Would give it a five star if pool had been more inviting and if walking access to front street had been better

Yelp
Gorgeous room and the bathroom is even better. Self parking is not located on property. It was not well lit or well paved to walk to. The overall property is just underwhelming. The building and property is just kind of sterile feeling. It's not walking distance to the charming downtown. Overall the property doesn't feel high end compared to its lobby

Yelp
This hotel was rated #1 boutique hotel in the US by USA Today, so our expectations were high. The hotel is set in a beautiful quiet area on Taylor Creek, and the facilities are very nice. Check in went OK but the lady at the front desk was less than friendly. Our experiences with valet parking were very good. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant the first night and were favorably impressed. The food was good and the view of sunset was spectacular. Our room was nicely appointed and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a unique and large shower. On the down side, the shower floor was slippery and there were no hand holds. For a place this expensive, the toilet paper was exceptionally cheap. For our first breakfast, we ordered room service. Unfortunately, the pancakes were only partly cooked and were inedible. They did refund our breakfast costs but we didn't order breakfast again. Upon check out we found that our bill included three lunch charges that we had not ordered. Because a manager was not available at the time, they were not able to remove the charge but said it would be removed when the manager returned. At the time of this writing the charge has not been removed. All-in-all, we probably won't return for another stay.

Yelp
The hotel rooms were pretty nice and check in was easy. That's about where it stops. Three main takeaways from this hotel. Location is poor especially for the price. Enough said there do your research and look at a map. Also for the price the fact that their is no on site parking is a little ridiculous. Clearly parking was an afterthought in the design of this place valet is $15 a day but as someone else pointed out is pretty inconvenient If you are coming and going. Lastly the construction leaves a bit to be desired. You better hope you get a third floor room or you will hear all of the foot steps of your neighbors above you. Super awesome. If the price was knocked down to about $150 a night then all these gripes are understandable but for the price you pay more is expected. I would research and try to find somewhere else to stay when visiting.

Yelp
This is actually our rooms wiev. We couldn't sleep because of construction under the our balcony.

Yelp
Only stayed one night and we personally liked the quiet setting away from downtown. We had a 3rd floor room & had no issues with loud neighbors. We also stayed after Labor Day so the whole area was much less busy. We ate at the restaurant and all our food was delicious- we had the smoked fish spread, Caesar salads with added shrimp and one of the after dinner coffees and an Irish whiskey flight. We sat on the balcony and watched the sun set. It did take a minute to get our bill from the waitress but that's a minor glitch. The a/c in the room seemed to be having issues and the temp in our room stayed around 73 which was warmer than I prefer for sleeping. Also the toilet seat seemed too small for the toilet and sat slightly crooked. The room was very clean and bed & pillows were very comfortable. I debated between a 3 or 4 but we enjoyed our overall experience so bumped up to the 4. All our encounters with staff were pleasant and we also used the pool and hot tub which were clean and added to our relaxation! Off site parking wasn't an issue for us especially since we just left a Marriott that charged us $50 a day for parking so $15 felt like a huge bargain!

Yelp
The area is very beautiful here. It is valet only so be prepared to pay $15 a day if you weren't expecting that. The land has plenty of places for hikes, walks, bonfires, etc. The restaurant 34 is beautiful and has a good menu. If you order room service they bring it up in a bag instead of on a tray like real room service. I found that to be alittle lame for the hefty price tag with room service. The property is large and has a nice pool and hot tub. The bed is what made my stay complete. Honestly, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The room is very posh and the shower is amazing. There are robes for him and her and a huge TV in every room. I love the decor and this is a very nice spot for a work retreat. There are not any microwaves in the room which I also thought was strange. The shampoo and conditioner are all Tommy Bahama brand. You can rent golf carts and can experience Beaufort downtown not too far away. Check in and check our are 3 and 12 which I love! All customer service has been very friendly. If you leave your room to go to the main building you have to have your key to even get in the door. That part was alittle annoying. I would stay here again for the bed itself!
