Google
An absolutely fantastic castle. A must visit if you are in or around Beaumaris. Lots to see and places to explore within the castle. Would of liked a few more information boards dotted around filled with history about the castle but other than that I was not disappointed.

Well worth a visit... Easy to get lost in the passages in the walls though. Fabulous building and exactly what you'd expect a textbook castle to look like even though this one wasn't finished. Avoid if you spot cruise tours... They get in your way

Was a great history lesson about the castle itself, we also brought the guide book a4 size for 5 pound which had lots of reading learning for the little ones. We spent an hour or so at the castle then moved on to the park for the children which is round the corner. Was a nice trip and would recommend

Perhaps my favourite castle I've visited. There are plenty of areas where you can walk inside the castle to see how the rooms would have been and on one side you get to a chapel room with amazing acoustics. We were lucky there were reenactments going on which gave us insights into different aspects of castle life including Archery, music and horses. Plenty of parking nearby and a small gift shop.

This castle has some fantastic views of the landscape. Set in an absolutely beautiful part of the world, I was in awe. You can also explore so much of this castle, from walking the walls to the various rooms that were never completed. There is a lot of information dotted around the castle. Well worth a visit!

Really lovely castle with lots of open space. There were exhibits to read about and things to see inside. There were some parts of the walls you could walk along, and a few turrets you could go up and down. It was fun to wander through the tunnels inside the walls. It was clean and kept well. There was also a cute play area for kids to try building the castle in big soft blocks. The whole town is really lovely for a day out and you can’t beat the view across the water.

We had limited time during our day trip in Anglesey and were able to visit this castle. It is well kept and the views at the top walls were awesome. We lucked out with beautiful, clear day.

Google
One of the famous castles in Wales, it right in the centre of Beaumaris, entering through the modern entrance/gift shop and short walk next to the moat you see the main gate to the castle, it's an impressive structure even though it was never finished, you can walk around the top of the walls. There's parking and toilets close by, dogs are allowed in on a lead and must remain on the ground level.

Yelp
This is a fantastic castle. Surrounded by a nice moat, located in a pretty town near the water. This was the last of the royal strongholds created by Edward I in Wales. A very nice size fortress. A lot bigger than it seems from outside. It was even meant to be bigger, but history and lack of money got in the way in the 1320s. But even as is it, it's a real beauty. It's in great shape and there's lots to see. Including walking all around on top of the wall. Just about 8£ a person. A fair fee, because there's really plenty to do and there are countless photo ops. Dogs are even allowed, our Bulldog loved it. So did we. There's a nice shop as well with books, souvenirs and nice glassware. Bought a bunch of Whisky glasses. Nice quality - fair prices. A fantastic visit and one of the highlights of all the castles we've visited on this years Road Trip through the UK. If you arrive by car, your best bet is the nearby Beaumaris Green Carpark. 5£ all day. Short walking distance.

Yelp
Don't feed the water fowl, they say - but just tell that to the water fowl! The slightest crinkle of plastic and they come fleetingly, begging coyly and making great lipid pools of their dark eyes to entice visitors to drop down some bread crumbs for their wee bellies. Seriously, how could one deny them? Gorgeous castle - in excellent condition with plenty of places to explore and "do not cross" cables on parapets to disobey (not that I did - but those two motorcyclists did!). Very enjoyable and worth the visit!

Yelp
Cool "unfinished" castle. They let you explore most of it and it's very well preserved. It has most of the conventional castle components such as curtain walls and a moat. It's a good stop to make while visiting wales. It would be nice if they gave a bit more historical information with entrance ticket.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this Castle, a pity that some areas are of no access but safety is a priority. The cost for the castle is £15.75 for a family (2 adults and up to 3 children) which is well worth it. The kids loved it too! (10 and 7 yrs).

Yelp
During a recently holiday to Anglesey we visit the castle and I was really pleased that we did. The castle itself is kept in and excellent condition and the staff in the entry / shop are very friendly. Access to the site is excellent you get to climb up the turrets and walk along the top of one of the walls, the walkways are enclosed and are safe for SUPERVISED children. Disabled access is poor but as you would suspect when this castle was built disabled access wasn't a priority.

Yelp
Step back in time while humming the music from "The Holy Grail" in this Isle of Anglesey landmark. They would make a fortune selling coconut shells in the visitor center.

Yelp
Not a lot to add that hasnt already been written on here already. I visited on a Saturday towards the end of March. The last entry is 30 minutes before closing, but you will need longer than that to get round everything. As its that little bit further to drive than some other areas around here, it doesnt get quite as busy as other tourist areas in the region. In fact, despite it being a Saturday, we pretty much got the whole castle to ourselves which was good for taking photos without having lots of people in shot. At times you could almost pretend you were in Game of Thrones owning your own castle. The upkeep is fantastic, and theres plenty of places to explore....stairs leading to small rooms that offer fantastic views out over the beach. Entry was just £4.50 which is fantastic value. I think we spent around 90minutes in total just exploring each nook and cranny. Theres all day parking for just a couple of quid for the whole day near the castle on the front too (near the RNLI station). If you take just that little extra effort to leave the main land and visit this castle you wont be dissapointed.

Yelp
A stunning castle well maintained and very interesting. Lovely walks around the castle, and for the brave and healthy a climb up to the turrets is well worth it. Enjoy walks around the walls and the feeling of space with the smell of the sea is very exhilarating. The seagulls are the size of small Helicopters so hang on to your sandwiches as a refusal can offend!! Lovely shop to look around for that keepsake and a reasonable admission price.

Yelp
The Last of Edwards castles in Wales , never finished . Massively built this concentric castle was never put to the test . Great value .

Yelp
This is a beautiful castle, set in stunning beaumaris overlooking the fantastic menai straits with stunning views and scenery. The town of beaumaris itself is well worth a visit. It's a lovely day out and I'd recommend it any time.

Yelp
Well kept and lots of places for children to run around and play. Sometimes they have historic re-enactments which are really interesting. Nice way to spend the afternoon and then go for fish and chips by the sea
