We stayed at the beautiful Beaumont Hotel October 15-18. As soon as you walk in to the building you are met with an old world grandeur that few renovated buildings manage to capture. Our room was beautifully appointed, with gorgeous details throughout (original brass hardware, french-style bathroom, antique furnishings). The room was comfortable, with soft linens, the coziest towels and modern amenities to make your stat comfortable (microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer).
The staff is laid back and accommodating. One of our favorite "characters" was the barkeeper, John, who takes his craft very seriously, offering a selection of curated cocktails which he lovingly created to bring you only the best. The bar room itself is beautiful, and many tourists and locals came in to have a drink before their nightly activities or dinner.
The staff is very proud of the building and its history, and all you have to do is ask about a feature or room in the building to get some fascinating history! (hint: Teddy Roosevelt loved staying here and there are even pictures of his room on display)
While there I also took advantage of the Spa that is onsite. Again, beautifully appointed. Doreen, the massage therapist was warm and welcoming and very professional. I left the session relaxed and calm.
Check in and check out was a breeze!
In short, we would not hesitate to return or to recommend to anyone looking to stay in a gorgeous hotel filled with history, beauty, and wonderful people to boot.
