"One of the best views in Gloucester is from the recently renovated rooftop bar and pool at the 94-room Beauport Hotel, where I spent the night. After checking in, I ventured into town for lunch at the Seaport Grille, sampling a tequila-and-lemonade cocktail; a tangy, overstuffed lobster roll; and crispy onion rings with the pronounced flavor of hops." - Robin Catalano

If you’re looking for a beautiful coastal getaway in the North of Boston region of MA, with incredible food, Beauport Hotel Gloucester is it. But as a chef and someone who takes food seriously, the real standout for me was 1606 Restaurant & Oyster Bar. First, the weekend brunch buffet? Unreal. Fresh and cured seafood, gorgeous French toast and fresh fruits, and the most perfect house-baked pastries that made it impossible to have just one. And dinner? Absolutely next level. The fresh salads, the insanely tender and cheesy meatballs, the butter - everything—I could go on. And the best part? The chef personally stopped by our table, making sure everything was perfect. Love when a restaurant values that connection. The rooms? Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches, like refillable glass water bottles and water stations throughout the hotel. Sustainability in hospitality matters, and Beauport gets it right. If you love great food, a stunning waterfront vibe, and a place that actually cares about the details, this is your spot. Already planning my next trip back.

We stopped for a drink. The bar is very good. It has a lot of spirits and wine. Food is also delicious. And staff is smiley and talking. The view is very good. I think rooms would be very good as well. Highly recommended.

Google
Absolutely top notch! I cannot say enough good things about the Beauport. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The views from the restaurant deck and roof top were stunning. The restaurant and bar had great food, drinks, and service. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and gave great advice about taking the train to Salem instead of driving. All of the extra touches like the complimentary car service, chocolates, turn down service, comfy robes and slippers made our stay even better than we could have expected. The customer service and attention to detail are unmatched. It was walkable to nearby shops and restaurants too. I would love to stay here again in the future!

My wife and I found the staff to be generous, attentive and kind. Our corner room had spectacular views with the added pleasure of a gas fireplace. The sound of the surf was extremely relaxing. The room was very nicely decorated & well maintained. That's true of the entire hotel. The restaurants were comfortable and provided a well rounded menu. It was our best dining experience in the Gloucester area; kept coming back. Manager & wait staff were wonderful.

This was our second visit to the Beauport. We waffled on going, since it was so expensive ($800/night) but it was a special treat for ourselves and the Beauport lived up to our expectations! First, I got a phone call around noon the day of our checkin letting me know our room was ready (that was so nice!). Check in was easy and the person who checked us in was calm and helpful. The room was a double queen (room 330) facing the water and has a balcony. I use a wheelchair and had previously stayed in a double queen ADA room, but it was booked. 330 worked really well for me except the shower. |The beds are really comfortable. We went up to the roof to have a drink and ordered food, but by the time the food came, we were so cold we took it it our balcony (which wasn't as windy as the roof). We also ordered the cheese platter later; the room service was great - they told us how much time it would take, and they were accurate. (The food is not amazing, but good.)|There was a wedding that night, and I was really amazed how much sound is blocked when we closed the balcony door. We went to the hot tub in the morning, which was amazing (it was cold outside but so toasty in the hot tub, and we were the only ones there!). |Overall, the service at the hotel is excellent. Two things that I wish were different: they have music playing on the speakers on the porch, so when you open your slider, you hear music instead of the ocean. It made me feel like I was in a mall instead of by the ocean.|Also, they do not have a lift for people with disabilities to get in and out of the pool or hot tub. That is illegal.

Welcoming from the moment you drive up. Great waterfront location. Beautiful property overall. Even with that you couldn’t have the experience we had without the people who work here. The front desk called to let us know our room was ready early. In spite of the number of people checking in at arrival the valets were welcoming and helpful taking the car and getting us in. Check in was a breeze. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. We ate breakfast on the patio and lunch on the rooftop. The bartenders and servers were great. The host/hostess were smiling and accommodating. The floor manager in the dining room was engaging and had a great sense of humor. Even the woman in the gift shop was overly helpful and a wealth of knowledge with some of the unique things they sold. (Which I over heard while reading the paper in the lobby) . Concierge had great recommendations and for our afternoon excursions. We really couldn’t ask for anything else and will definitely be back.

I booked the Beauport to take my husband away for a big birthday. They called me immediately after I booked to get his name as they wanted to leave him something special in the room - it was a mini cake and card! When we arrived they wished him a happy birthday at the front desk and when we checked out. The room was on the corner with a beautiful view on the sunset. We ordered room service which was prompt and delicious! We wish we had brought our suits because it was the last weekend the roof pool was open! We will for sure be staying here again.

Google
The Beauport Hotel has an amazing location, with amazing views. Our room and all areas of the hotel were beautifully decorated and beyond clean. All staff members were beyond helpful and friendly. The acknowledgement of my birthday with a beautiful little cake and card was greatly appreciated. The rooftop lounge, pool and hot tub were out of this world, as were the drinks and live entertainment. I also took the opportunity to swim in the ocean which was so clean and clear. We had dinner outside in 1606 because the weather was so amazing - the food and service was out of this world. I took a beautiful walk out to Stage Fort Park in the morning, pausing both ways at the Fisherman's Memorial. We had an amazing breakfast on the patio and the avocado toast was by far the best I've ever had, as were the home fries. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Expensive and Posh! What else can we say? Well 85 characters needed for this review, so go once and enjoy.

Yelp
JP 9/2/24 My husband and I recently had dinner at the Beauport restaurant. The scenery was beautiful on the deck over looking the ocean, but the food and service was disappointing. We first received popovers that were obviously over cooked and burnt on the outside. We sent them back and received another order, which were not overcooked. However, they were also not warm. The butter would not even melt when trying to spread. The same problem continued when we received our meals. Both my husbands and my dinner were both barely warm at best. It was difficult to find a waiter, even though the restaurant did not appear that busy. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and frustrating, not to mention pricey! it is obvious you're paying for the view and definitely not the food. We tried to speak to the restaurant manager before we left, but she could not be located. My husband called when we got home, and again, she cannot be located. Emily, the manager did finally return his call 45 minutes later. After hearing my husband's concerns, she politely thanked him, but seemed unfazed by his list of grievances with the service. She was unapologetic, and the conversation was unsatisfying, as was our entire experience with the Beauport restaurant. I felt compelled to write this review because this was not the first time that we've experienced subpar food from this establishment. It was a beautiful evening so we thought we would give it another try, but we were sadly greeted with more of the same mediocrity. Obviously, would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Amanda H.

Yelp
Amazing ambience, and a great staff. The octopus and the mussels were amazing... they were so good I couldn't make it past the starters.

Linda G.

Yelp
Very good pricey. I got bagels cream cheese and daughter got croissant sandwich. Wait staff excellent and accommodating. Quick to remedy mistakes on our orders. Atmosphere cannot be beat. Right on water. We watched fishing boats go under draw bridge. We were there for weekday breakfast. They have $25 buffet that looked good but that's a lot right??? I'd go back and definitely sit outside. Beautiful there.

John C.

Yelp
This is an absolutely beautiful property, and the views are stunning. The staff were over the top friendly and helpful. Every where you sat there were terrific views. The bar was centrally located and quite large. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We definitely want to go back.

Yelp
I arranged a two day business meeting for my company at the Beauport in mid-December. Carina F. was absolutely fantastic as our event coordinator. A true professional in every way. Super responsive to any inquiries and accommodations, helpful with suggestions to make our two day event run seamlessly. Very accessible on-site as well. Additionally; we had a private dinner on-site and our server Chelsea was also fantastic. Very accommodating and also very helpful with suggestions for meal choices and wine pairings. This was our second company event at the Beauport. Thanks to these two hardworking professionals; the event was deemed a successful event. We will definitely plan another event at the Beauport in the future!

Michael G.

Yelp
We were cruising the Massachusetts coast on our way to a wedding and someone said "let's go to Gloucester" for lobster! So we did. Locals directed our five-some to the Beauport and also suggested to make a Rez. We did and were lucky. It was packed, but we were able to sit on the patio on a beautiful sunny day. Lobster rolls, salads, croquettes, fish sandwiches, local beer. All just great. We even got bombarded by hungry seagulls. Well we didn't but the table next door did. Excellent service and good conversation with the local servers. Come see for yourself, but make a Rez!

R Michael W.

Yelp
Had a fabulous lunch on Thursday for a 50th birthday. With lobster bisque, Mac N cheese, lump crab cake and salad of the day 'beet' was a little weak in flavor; waitress Chelsea was so professional as well as her various assistants....great job!

Nancy F.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel on waters edge. You over look the famous pole walk/ run in the gloucester inlet. Our food was amazing. The lobster bisque should have been called lob. Chunk bisque! The lobster salad sandwich was hot and the perfect amount of butter. The atmosphere was crowded but you never felt you were on top of another table and you could easily have a conversation! The entire hotel is beautiful and the next time we are there we will go exploring the facilities.

Randy D.

Yelp
Great place to stay in this area. Was off season so very reasonable price wise and a true luxury experience. Nightly turn down service with chocolate. Full service restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Food was good, service was good. Just a great experience. Spent a full week and didn't want to leave!

Mary B.

Yelp
From the minute, we walked in the door, we knew we had found a little bit of paradise. As we speak, we are sitting on our waterfront balcony, looking at sailboats and the beautiful water view. The restaurant is absolutely the best with impeccable service and delicious food. We liked the little fire pit heaters at each table so we could sit out at night. Rooms are immaculate. High-end gift shop is well appointed and has unusual gifts. We like everything about this place and will be back annually.

Gina D.

Yelp
What is there not to love about this place? The outdoor deck gives you a view of the sunset overlooking the ocean. Food is delicious and the seafood is the absolute freshest. The first time I went, the server was very skillful, and created an experience I have grown to expect at very high end restaurants. The second time I went, the server was barely out of high school or lacked experience. Anytime I need a sure venue for a great dinner, I will return here. I took one star off because the first time I went, there was cross contamination with the oysters and cilantro, which I am allergic to. One small spec of Cilantro was enough to immediately make me sick and I had to leave. I did feel the cilantro and removed it from my mouth but because it was on an oyster, I had already slurped and bit into it. I don't really feel like it's anyone's fault but it happened. I didn't tell anyone because I felt it would ruin the night but it was noticeable when I was not eating or drinking any longer because I was sick and debating whether I should go to a hospital or not. Yes, the server knew I was allergic. Oh well.

Richa T.

Yelp
Gorgeous Hotel right on the coast. Came here for a friend's wedding and this place was just so stunning. The decor is a really beautifully decorated with beautiful beach vibe. They have an a great bar as well inside with really friendly service. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Padma A.

Yelp
Had a bridal brunch here with great views and good service. I liked the buffet choices with lox and bagels alongside eggs. Our server was very hospitable and shared local anecdotes and events with us . Will certainly come back if I'm the area.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
The entire hotel is charming! Love the boutique. It is very nicely curated with beautiful clothing, gifts and jewelry. The staff are warm and dote on you during your visit. The bar and restaurant are lovely and well-appointed. The food is beautifully presented and delicious! There are gluten-free options for your guests that request it. And, the views of Gloucester Harbor are mesmerizing!

Chris S.

Yelp
Great town. Beautiful hotel. Top notch service. Fun roof top pool and bar. Great live music on the nights we visited. If you like a nice hotel gym, this is not the place for you. Gym is smaller than a guest suite and equipment is dated.

Joe P.

Yelp
5 star for ambiance, the view, the decor . But 2 star for the food. Extremely overpriced, lacking in flavor, and just plain disappointing us . We Would def go back when the weather is nice to sit on their beautiful outside patio overlooking the water . But this time have a beer or two and a salad or burger. Mayeb those won't let us down like the overpriced and flavorless seafood we had. With all the being said it's still a place to definitely go to. It's absolutely beautiful!!!

Kimberley W.

Yelp
A little underwhelming. Oysters and shrimp good. Lobster rolls good and fairly priced. Nothing really stood out though. The patio is a nice space, good to go and have drinks. Service was fair. Staggering of appetizers and meals did not occur. Would not be in a hurry to rush back. We had considered staying at the hotel, but after seeing it in person, I think the rooms are overpriced for location. Definitely a bustling area, not serene. Bell staff and valet staff very good.

Yelp
A spectacular local gem in the coastal city of Gloucester on Cape Ann. My beloved and I spent Valentine's Day at this elegant hotel where our experience was fulfilled with an incredibly chic room coupled with a nautical vibe and a gorgeous balcony ocean front view. The Beauport Hotel Gloucester was the perfect getaway while offering the peak Cape Ann experience offering the most romantic ambiance, impeccable service & exquisite food.

R B.

Yelp
worst lobby coffee ever I got decaf my friend got regular both were terrible dumped it out in the sink beach had lots of trash on it stank of seaweed otherwise ok

Cristine Q.

Yelp
Beautiful location and the bar and restaurant are amazing! The Beauport has become our go to spot to celebrate our anniversary each year! You won't be disappointed!

Joe D.

Yelp
Outstanding service, Food was wonderfully put together and delicious. We ate there on Easter and used the Prix Fixe Menu. First courses we experienced were the Chilled English Pea Soup (Minted Peas, Jonah Crab, Crème Fraîche), Local Fluke Crudo (Charred Lemon, Sauce Verde, Radish, Pea Tendils), and Heirloom Carrot Salad (Hazelnuts, Seasoned Yogurt, Green Harissa, Bitter Greens). We shared and tasted each others choice and there was consensus about the uniqueness and how wonderful the food tasted. Our choices for main courses were Za'atar Rack of Lamb (Eggplant, Saffron Yogurt, Blistered Tomato, Chickpea Salad, Herbs) and Pan-Seared Halibut (Carrot Ginger Purée, Crispy Prosciutto, Mélange of Spring Vegetables, Spinach, Fregola, Butter Sauce) The Lamb was quite different from rack of lamb preparation I've had in the past. Good size portion and cooked perfectly and the taste was out of sight delicious. All of got to taste the halibut. Best ever preparation I've had of halibut and I've been fortunate have halibut a number of different ways. Dessert was also a big hit. two of us had the lemon cake a Lemon (Meringue, Lemon Curd, Compressed Strawberries, Rhubarb Compote, Basil) and two of us had the Pistachio Tart (Dark Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio Purée, Variations of Orange, Chocolate Bark, Pistachio Gelato). A great ending to a fine night of dining.

Yelp
If there was a rating of ZERO stars, I would choose it! DO NOT make a reservation with this hotel! I made a reservation through their website and Expedia took over the reservation. It took me 2 days to cancel my reservation and they charged me for the room. The desk staff were arrogant and condescending when I tried to explain my frustration. I am a very experienced traveler and have never had such a terrible customer service experience. My advice is to stick with Hilton or Marriott and stay away from these independently run hotels.

Linda G.

Yelp
I went for lunch with my sister and aunt. Previously the food was just ok. Not today! Great food and our server was terrific. The black ink pasta was amazing. The calamari was delicious, and unique. Salads and lobster rolls got rave reviews as wel

Joan D.

Yelp
Perfect destination for a summer day! The bar, 1606 dining room and outdoor patio were all excellent! The drinks, food, service and ambiance were all outstanding. Free valet parking was also much appreciated! Highly recommend this wonderful destination.

M A I Te J.

Yelp
Wonderful service, delicious food, unparalleled view of Gloucester bay; you really can't go wrong especially if you sit outside and enjoy the expansive ocean view! Delicious fried whole belly clams and yummy sparkling wine. Friendly and helpful staff.

Yelp
Nine of just returned from Beauport celebrating our tenth sibling's holiday. These annual events are very special to all of us. Previously we have celebrated at luxury rental homes all over New England. This occasion was special given six of the nine of us were celebrating milestone birthdays. We all live close to Boston and at our age, this time around we decided to stay local rather than having to drive long distances and plan meals we decided upon this luxury oceanfront hotel. And quite generously the pricing we were given was very reasonable. Now with this background we wanted to share with readers what a joyful time we all had. The hotel is spectacularly located, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every member of the Beauport team was attentive and gracious with not an ounce of snideness. Our five Ocean front rooms were specious and beautifully appointed. We all loved sitting on the ocean front deck by the multiple fire pits. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The seating in the interior large lounge was inviting and allowed gathering of our group to play games or just enjoy a cocktail. And we were given a tour around Gloucester and provided with transportation to an outside restaurant. How blessed we are to have enjoyed this special time together. Thank you, team Beauport for making it so wonderful.

Caroline H.

Yelp
The 1606 restaurant has beautiful views of the beach and outer Gloucester bay. You can see the fishing boats sail out to sea. The large sailboats for tourists are very picturesque too. We visited here for drinks and dinner. We did not stay at the hotel. We loved the complimentary valet parking. Thank you! The Room Service is strong and good too. The swordfish was outstanding. The small fingerling potatoes were cooked perfectly. We will return.

Suzette M.

Yelp
This is the best Hotel in MA in my opinion. If I could get married all over I would have cheese this location over Newport! The staff the food the view and the rooms are 5 star! Get the Tomahawk steak for dinner you won't regret it!

Mama N.

Yelp
Beauport and the 1606 Restaurant is amazing! My new favorite hotel and restaurant on Cape Ann. My husband and I stayed overnight for my birthday. The hotel is so charming and peaceful The hotel and the 1606 Restaurant is very well run. We had dinner and then breakfast the following morning at the 1606. Delicious. Chloe was our waitress both times and she was phenomenal. At breakfast the concierge (an attractive man in a green sweater with a crew cut in his late 50s...sorry...never caught his name!) heard it was my birthday. He came over with a decadent box of Beauport chocolates to celebrate the occasion.) wow! The hotel and restaurant are charming (the bar and deck is stunning) but the people who work there make it special. HIGHLY recommend this place.

Kelly H.

Yelp
We recently got married at the Beauport hotel and it was picture perfect. Brittney was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From our initial meeting, she was attentive, understanding, and full of great ideas that aligned perfectly with our vision. Brittney went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was meticulously planned and executed, giving us the peace of mind we needed throughout the planning process and on our big day. She was extremely organized with everything and very dedicated which made our day flow seamlessly - our guests were incredibly impressed with how beautifully everything turned out. We are so grateful to have had Brittney as our coordinator; she was not just a planner, but a true part of our celebration. We loved Brittney and you should consider yourself lucky if you're assigned to her as your coordinator for you upcoming wedding! Thank you, Brittney, for making our wedding day so perfect!

Laura B.

Yelp
Not sure what could be done about this...but beware.... Room 312. ...The harbor side overlooks a plant with a shipping dock so noisy at 3 am and then again at 5:30 am!! Will be complaining to the front desk too ... this place is not cheap but I felt like I slept in a cheap hotel!!! Oh and the garbage truck that came at 5:30 am to pick up the hotels trash!! Was ridiculous! - I'm exhausted...

Henry P.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, right down by the pier area off of Washington / Commercial Street. Plenty of parking. Very up scale hotel. Fine bar and restaurant. Wonderful staff. Exceptionally clean room. Large room too, with a king sized bed and a 60 inch TV. Large bathroom. Plenty of room. Nice scenery, and a view of some lighthouse from the deck of the restaurant. Highly recommended. 11OCT2022

Yelp
I attended my girlfriends sons wedding April 29 th They had a Sinatra improvised singer He sang " The best is yet to come" Well with every new minute of the wedding, the best got better and better From view to staff to the actual bride and groom it was the best wedding Congrats to all We will be back Jackie S

Yelp
If you're looking for a place with nice views, this is definitely it. the drinks were hit and miss, but the tuna tartare, and the margarita style pizza were actually decent. The weight stuff was definitely more friendly here and lively than all the other places we ate in Gloucester. probably because they were all younger. It was very clean, but make sure you get reservations ahead of time.

Anne N.

Yelp
Excellence must be their middle name!! Always have the best time, the food is beyond my expectations and the service is perfection! This place has nestled into the heart and soul of the Gloucester community and is one of its finest assets!

Jean B.

Yelp
do not go here - almost died from one of the really dumb waitresses who actually knew us and my allergies and she was only concerned about her tip. had to get rushed to the hospital and the hotel handled it poorly. food is horrible but the waitstaff is ten times worse.

Bill C.

Yelp
This is a tough one. The word my wife came up with was spotty. First and damning -- the television didn't get the SUPER BOWL!! The tv (Dish) really sucked, especially for a hotel at this price point. When I first turned it on it lit up "Smart TV" -- really, not quite. The tv is just an example of the hotel -- smoke and mirrors. The rooms were excellent. The food was hot or cold. Some items were excellent and others not so good. I always look for the positives in my reviews. The staff was generally excellent but there were a few outliers. I don't know why management is so CHEAP that they won't pay for a decent television setup. My wife thinks the review is to easy.

Brian J.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. As someone who grew up in the area I was excited about coming home and having an event at this establishment that I have often frequented in the past. I reached out regarding this and was met with an extreme lack of customer service, specifically by Emily Moore in food & beverage. She was rude, dismissive and lacked the professionalism I would expect from an establishment of this caliber. I look forward to finding another space. I will be letting locals and visitors know not to waste their time here and would encourage others to do the same.

Whitney C.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience with everything from the service of the staff to the room. The hotel decor is beautiful - felt like it was designed by Ralph Lauren with an upscale nautical style. The room was spacious, updated and in great condition with high end elements like L'occitane toiletries and marble countertops. The view from our room was phenomenal and it felt like we were staying in a cruise ship with a little balcony overlooking the water. We dined at the restaurant on site and the service and food was excellent as well. I would highly recommend Beauport to anyone visiting Gloucester.

Nancy A.

Yelp
The Beauport Hotel is coastal luxury and comfort at it's best. Excellent service, excellent accommodations and excellent food. The view is spectacular! Worth every penny. My happy place for sure!

warren d.

Yelp
Great venue for a cocktail out on the deck, by the fire, overlooking the water and beach. Kitchen puts out very good plates, although service can be spotty... Seems to be a trend everywhere lately though

Jeanne M.

Yelp
My son and daughter-in-laws wedding was held at Beauport Gloucester and it was fantastic! Wedding planner was excellent. Food was excellent! Generous portions So picturesque on waterfront in Gloucesters historic Fort district. Accommodations were 5 star!

Debbie S.

Yelp
Last year, my stay at the Beauport was a great first impression. This year, not so much. First, my room phone didn't work. A maintenance man came up, looked at the phone for 30 secs., and said he would have to call IT and someone would be in touch with me- no call and when I checked out, the phone still wasn't working. Second, as I was on my way to check out, I fell in the lobby as I was attempting so sit the bench slid back. It took another guest to come to my aid before any staff. And, one of check-out girls was laughing as she asked if I was OK. Upon the actual check-out, no one asked how my stay was (which I thought was a must at a high-end hotel?) When I explained about the phone, the girl just said, "oh, OK". I wanted to give a head's up for the next guest. Maybe a single person isn't as important and plurals? I submitted the online survey, which I'm convinced that no one reads. Last year (when gas prices were huge), I suggested that when a valet brings a car around, don't leave the car running. Well, again, this year, my car was running when I left. It's been a week since the survey and a personal note sent to the GM, but no response. Maybe they don't worry about lawsuits resulting from inhouse injuries, but I think a fall on any property should warrant much more serious attention.

Melissa L.

Yelp
I have never been treated so poorly by an establishment. They were beyond rude to me and my family. Ruined my moms birthday party and could of cared less. I will never step foot in that place again. They were so disrespectful and when I asked for a manger they told me I hade to leave. After spending close to $1,000 on dinner which was just average we were all shocked and even after calling the owner she never took the time to call me back. They have ruined the waterfront and anyone that goes there be prepared for terrible service.

Kate S.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday of a long weekend and the staff was fabulous, friendly, and great at their jobs. Stayed in a room on the third floor. The view was of. Truck yard and you could hear them at night but it was worth it. For the beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, service, the great bar downstairs and valet parking! I thought it was great little get away! Bed was comfy

Bill F.

Yelp
Again, this Hotel could be doing so much better. It's Beautiful ! But the service (everywhere) still stinks. Was there 2 days last week. First day on the roof deck, service was slow. The two bartenders were overwhelmed and were arguing with each other. My sister in law ordered a sandwich. After waiting forever, the waitress said "I can tell you right now the fries are cold. I will bring you hot ones". We never saw her again. We did not eat dinner at 1606 because of previous service issues. Next day as I went to enter the pool deck, a manager badgered me about a wrist band. That's fine. Rules are rules. But she had an attitude. And once I got onto the deck, at least 60% of the people did not have wrist bands. And it was chaos. Little kids jumping into the hot tub (underage and against the rules). Little kids running and jumping into the pool. A terrible, un-relaxing experience. And I thought, she is badgering ne, a guy who just spent $600 on a room. But not anyone else, and she is letting this chaos happen. They are really making it harder and harder to go back, even with the beautiful setting. They NEED to better with service

Rachel W.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel on the coast. Stunning views of the ocean anytime of year. Clean and stylish guest rooms and roaring fireplaces in the lobby during the winter. And the Christmas decor is impeccable. I was lucky enough to stay here for work, but hoping to bring my husband and son back with me.

Rudy G.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful, clean, with inviting areas to gather with friends. The bars and decks are the place to be. Staff courteous. Concierge attentive. One female bartender lacked paying attention...and it was not busy. Our room was clean with a great view of the ocean. I've visited Beauport many times since opening. The food has always been a wild card; sometimes good and consistently not-so-great. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in late February. We heard it was, " a new chef." Chowder tasty but no broth and tons of potatoe, corned beef hash was too full of huge pieces of meat...the proportions so off in comparison to the pepper and potatoes that it was a turn-off. Scallop Carpaccio appetizer (which is served raw and "cooked" in an acid, was very unappealing. The scallops were not thinly sliced but large chunks and did not absorb the flavor of the acid in the dish. And, they smelled fishy. Fishy not Fresh in my book. Still...I will return because I like the bar and the atmosphere...and close to home.
