My first time at Beauty Poet and it outdid all of my expectations. I've had a lot of good facials in my life, but none as great as the one I had from Greta! I had my first facial in several years this spring at Beauty Poet and was very impressed with it and with the spa itself. I had made a pact with myself then and there that more facials were to be in my future. Last week I had the Poem Facial with Greta. It blew me away. It was hands down the best facial I have ever had. Her empathy, skill, and experience are bar none. I told my husband that Greta was the GOAT. I intend on many more facials with Greta.

I had the harmony facial with Bliss and omg amazing!!! Bliss puts her heart & beautiful energy into this facial. She has a natural soothing vibe & very good at massage techniques on both the face and body. She spent the first 20ish minutes putting me into a deep meditative state. She uses several essential oils and flower essences to enhance the experience. She also placed gemstones on my chakras. I loved all of the feels and smells of the products used. The room and ambiance is so relaxing and clean. The bed was nice and warm and I was greeted with a glass of sparkling wine, which was a nice treat. I felt welcomed and everyone is very kind. My skin feels great today as well. I highly recommend Beauty poet as well as Bliss for the harmony facial.

I had the Ritual Facial with Tessa. - $260 treatment. She canceled my first appointment very last minute. And when I arrived for the rescheduled appointment nine days later, Tessa seemed barely there and poorly skilled (at least in the treatment I selected). Almost no actual massage, some oils dripped down my back, one that burned. Then she’d tickle my back. I kept waiting for the experience to actually begin but it never did. Overall very disappointing. I should have just spent the $260 on products.

I booked the Harmony Facial with Bliss and it was divine. She was intuitive, gentle, insightful, and nurturing. I left feeling rejuvenated, hydrated, and full of self love. Magic!✨

Rebecca did an amazing job with my poem facial. It’s the most relaxed I’ve felt in a long time and my skin is glowing. Will definitely be back.

I've had a few facials from Bliss and she is just amazing!! I don't know what's better her facial or the guided meditation she offers during the facial as well! She brings such a calm and healing energy to every appointment and alwayssss addresses my skin's needs, thank you times a million Bliss!

I treated myself to the Bodywork Ritual at beauty poet and my practitioner was Rebekah. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had in my life and definitely the best massage I've ever gotten which I was shocked about because I get massages bimonthly and have been almost every other place in SLO. Rebekah used the perfect amount of medium pressure consistently throughout and the scrub was AMAZING, I'd always wondered about them but never got one before and now I am hooked! The raindrop therapy could have been shorter and I didn't get offered the after treatment refreshment mentioned in the description on the website but the massage was so incredible that i would still give the experience 6/5 stars, and can't wait to come back!

Service is great unfortunately they've been super unreliable. My appointment was canceled last minute not once but twice. Hard to want to make another appointment when I schedule my day and then they cancel on me.

Great facial, and love the products they use. Will definitely go back again. My BFF also had a massage and she raved about it.

Getting monthly facials from Daní has absolutely changed my skin in the best way!!! Her touch is magical and with the upper shoulders + back and arms included it feels like I'm there getting a massage too! Best of both worlds. She's extremely helpful with product recommendations for your skin and the smell and quality of these products make me look forward to my skincare routine at home! I always leave feeling lighter and refreshed and my skin has never looked better thanks to her! Love everything Beauty Poet has to offer!

Just walking in you feel a sense of calmness, the smell and just the whole vibe is awesome. I had a 70 min facial and it was relaxing and enjoyable-definitely will be back.

Highly recommend this place! The girls that work here are so sweet and kind. Whitney did my facial and it was amazing! Usually I avoid facials because I hate the extraction part but Whitney didn't use tools so it was not painful at all. I really enjoyed myself and will be back!

Well, I cannot say this was a better than average experience. When I arrived, I was greeted and offered a drink of some exotic nature. But it never materialized. Then, when I went into the session, for which I had expressed an interest in a foot massage rather than a hand massage, I got a quick one foot, other foot rub and nothing more. The technician did an excruciating "extraction" without my being asked and my nose suffered for three days. And the facial was meh. Lots of window dressing but not much meat.

The facial I had was very nice, but they don't offer many of the services I am used to having- such as waxing and dermablading. The main reason for 3 stars: I was quoted $75 on the phone but when I went to check out it was $145. I thought $75 was rather inexpensive-but was shocked at paying double. So be careful when you schedule an appointment.

I chose the beauty poet for a facial because of the good reviews it has received in the past on Yelp! What a good choice! T'ellyn was amazing and took care of my skin in such a caring way. My facial was thorough, extractions included and so, so relaxing. I am pretty sure I fell asleep mid facial but it was worth it because I felt completely relaxed. This business is very clean, simple and modern decor and all staff were attentive, offered me water and made sure I had everything I needed for a great service. This is one of the best spots on the central coast for a facial and I will definitely be back soon!

I came here based off of the YELP reviews while visiting my partner in SLO. One of the best massages I've received in a long time. The shop had a really great atmosphere and Jordan, the massage therapist, is very talented. Jordan was really attentive to my goals/needs for the service and used just the right amount of pressure. (I had a small sunburn and she was able to accommodate that without issue). I was able to fully relax, which is super hard for me to do! I also loved the use of essential oils during the service. I paid $145 before tip for 60 min. Thanks Beauty Poet...if I'm ever back in the area I'll stop by!

Iv been going to the beauty poet now for about a year and let me tell you.....this place is a heaven sent! My first facial was with Valerie W and I was HOOKED! Iv been seeing her every month ever since. She is the sweetest, super knowledgeable, and her massage techniques are amazing!!! I always feel like I'm floating on a cloud when I walk out. She's also offering massage now to and of course I did not hesitate to book one. She's so so talented all around. Not to mention all the amazing products they offer here. Go to the beauty poet!! You will not be disappointed.

If you want to have a wonderful relaxing hour for yourself, head over to Beauty Poet. Both myself and my daughter came away feeling so pampered after getting a lovely facial. After checking in, we were offered water, either still or sparkling or a glass of wine to start off our morning. We both went with water and sat in the waiting room (briefly) until we were called in to our respective rooms. Each beautician talked with us about our skin and what we hoped to get out of the facial. Whitney worked with me and Jordan with my daughter and we both said we'd return for sure when we are in need of some TLC. I came away with a few free samples too which is great as I am interested in trying some of the products. Go and spoil yourself and come away feeling renewed!

TLDR: do yourself a favor and book a massage appointment with Danielle; or any service at the Beauty Poet, really. The entire experience from booking, to checking in, the massage and checking out - more than 5 stars. Julia emailed me almost immediately after my inquiry for a massage and helped me set a date. I sadly do not remember the name of the most kind woman who greeted and checked me in. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted and it was just nice. I don't know how else to explain it- I was checked in, I filled a form out on my phone, I selected a scent and she explained the scent to me, what it evokes, and then it was infused into rosé. As I sipped that, I got to browse the store freely while chatting with the woman. It felt warm (not sterile), the space felt welcoming and not pushy or sale-y- it was wonderfully nice. And then the massage-the massage!!! The massage with Danielle was amazing. Before she began, we went over my form and she actually followed up on the things I entered. She immediately made me feel like I was being totally cared for and utterly safe in her hands, quite literally. The massage was probably the best massage I've ever had. Danielle has something special. She finds the spots and some how works them so gently but enough to make a difference. She has this intuition and has some sort of healing power through her hands! I can't wait to go back.

As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted by kind faces. I had a facial with Logan and it was so relaxing and refreshing. She took the best care of me and was so caring and sweet. Her energy is unmatched! My skin was left refreshed and so gorgeous. I have been getting compliments left and right. I will certainly be going back to Logan and the Beauty Poet for more facials and services! 10/10 absolutely recommend!

I was in a car accident September 2021 and booked my first massage with Anika to get some relief. The integrative massage I had was absolutely amazing. I currently come about every 6 weeks and every single time I have had great service and received exceptional treatment. I highly recommend Anika or Jordan for your next massage! The whole staff takes great care to provide an amazing experience. Cannot recommend Beauty Poet enough!

Had a facial here last month and it was the best facial I have truly ever gotten. I have recommended this place to everyone and their mothers. What makes it so unique is the clean products they use and the facial itself-- for the poem facial they massage your neck and feet. It's suchh a treat.

I had the best facial of my life at this salon. I came to the salon in rough condition after a night out with the ladies. The women here were sweet, helpful, understanding, and all around great people. Nancy was my blessing of 2022. She was kind, judgment free, and customized my experience to suit what I needed. I am so unbelievably pleased after receiving a facial at Beauty Poet. I came in (very) early on accident and even booked a last minute appointment, and I was greeted with a smile, water and a cute comfy couch to sit and unwind. When it was time for my facial, my facialist asked me multiple questions ensuring she understood my skin and my skincare habuts and even recommended other ways I could reduce inflammation in my body. The facial: incredible. extractions were not too rough and my skin was absolutely GLOWING afterwards. I also love the feeling that someone actually cares about you and your skin. Days later, my skin is still SO soft and so much brighter than it was pre-facial!

I received the haiku facial. I myself am an esthetician and have had dozens of facials. This facial by far was the best. It has me beaming about how incredible I feel. What stood out most? -Walking into a bright, clean, and well decorated place -The receptionist who was a doll -The coziness of the spa room -Valerie's gentle yet firm touch -The comfort of the spa bed -The rich, refreshing, and floral smell of the products without smelling artificial -Valerie's INCREDIBLE MASSAGE!!! Her flow and handwork on the face was so graceful and powerful at the same time. -I felt comfortable during extractions -It didn't feel rushed -My skin feels, hydrated and dewy, not greasy nor oily. -Valerie really listened to my needs and delivered the most peaceful and relaxing facial I've ever had. -The facial was productive AND relaxing -Valerie was softly communicative Such an amazing experience. I had my eye on this place for almost a year and finally tried it out- wow! Monet is such an angel and has so much love for what she does, that passion comes through in her facials. I signed up for their membership and go once per month now. I've learned so much about my skin and have become much more strategic in how I care for it. Highly recommend!!

Hands down the best massage in SLO. I have received treatment from all of their massage therapists and each massage was not only a relaxing but rejuvenating experience. They all take the time to get to know you and your body and adjust treatment to your needs. I left each massage feeling like I could float off the table. Treatment aside, the staff is so incredibly kind and the merchandise well curated. Cannot recommend enough.

Just walked out of Beauty Poet practically floating! I haven't had a facial since 2019- and you could tell! Whitney was my esthetician and she worked some serious skin magic. She took her time, checked in with me, and it was clear she is very talented! The energy here is healing and calming with ambiance to match. I felt very safe in terms of Covid regulation as everyone was masked up, and temperature checks are done upon entry! I would highly recommend Whitney and Beauty Poet for your skin TLC.

Can I just move in here? This place is so adorable and soothing before you even get on the table. And once you do, you are in the most expert of hands to receive the ultimate in self-care and relaxation. I had Monet (the daughter of the mother/daughter team) and was blown away by her technique, her highly experienced manner, her skin knowledge, just her all-around awesomeness. The products they use and sell are clean and you can feel good about using them. She designed a skincare routine for me and showed me the products, but there was no hard sell. I am so happy after eight years of living in SLO I have found my skincare place! Love these ladies! I can't wait to go back.

Beauty poet is in a charming former residential space, and I was welcomed from the moment I entered their delightful space. I received the massage of my dreams from Jordan. I had requested a deep tissue treatment, and Jordan asked all the right questions about my health and wellness status. This allowed her to craft a massage that was perfect for my body. I left with the sense of having been treated by a healer, and I look forward to my next visit.

PROS: - Best massage I've had in SLO - Clean stylish salon - No overwhelming scents This is the best massage I've received during my time in SLO. The salon has street parking outside as well as a small lot. It's located in an old converted house. The inside is clean and has a decent selection of products for purchase. My massage started with a consultation of what I did for work, sore areas, and a small health history to get a better understanding of what I needed. They are proactive about asking for allergies before beginning to use any products on you. My last massage​ before here was at Massage Envy which was a horrible experience overall. But here, I left feeling refreshed and that most of the tension had actually left my body. They leave you with a piece of chocolate at the front desk which is a nice additional touch. They did not push any memberships or try to sell me any unnecessary products either. I will definitely return and highly recommend coming here.

Received a gift card from friends and booked a Poet facial with Whitney. Friendly and cozy environment. The infused wine while waiting was a lovely touch. Facial was relaxing and just what my skin needed - foot and leg massage a ++! Highly recommend. Will be booking a massage soon!

Jordan was amazing! I got a Haiku facial with her and felt like I left the room floating. She's super knowledgeable and tailored the treatment to my skin. You can tell she was originally trained as a massage therapist because her hands are maaagic. Don't hesitate to book!
