We went here for their regular tasting menu but it so happened that it was during the ‘Montreal en Lumiere’ so we were surprised to receive a different tasting menu. We decided to stay and give it a try anyway but the food was just okay, forgetable even. Service was excellent, they made us feel very welcome and special. We might come back for the other tasting menu as it’s the one that looks impressive.

A feast indeed as the menu name suggests (menu festin)! Everything was delicious but I always prefer the creativity of appetizers more than main dishes which are suberbly executed. We went home very full and with leftovers!

Eye-wateringly expensive but worth every penny. The food is presented with great artistry . Surprisingly relaxed atmosphere makes it a very pleasant night. Get the tasting menu...

Nice experience, opted for the tasting menu so, 7 course meal, perfectly sized portions and all dishes were a surprise, based on chef’s daily creations. Wine pairings offered as well , unique dessert. Quiet and unique ambiance. Best to reserve and special occasions can be outlined, the restaurant offers special dessert and gift at the and of your meal.

During our 4-day, 3-night trip to Montreal, the restaurant that caught my eye was Jérôme Ferrer. Known for its French-themed decor, professional service, and gastronomic excellence, it was top of my list. Though we could only fit it in for a final lunch before heading home, it did not disappoint. We opted for the 3-course lunch menu, complemented by a first bite and dark chocolate, and included a glass of red or white wine. - **Welcoming Dish**: Crostini with hors d'oeuvres of the day—simple yet crunchy, a perfect start. - **Side Order**: Freshly served table bread with butter, accompanied by a mix of oil and balsamic. - **1st Course**: Vinaigrette salad atop a warm buttered pastry, beautifully presented with balsamic vinegar on the side. - **2nd Course**: Steak with a choice of fries or mashed potatoes (go for the mashed potatoes; they’re outstanding). - **3rd Course**: Chocolate mousse, elegantly garnished with silver flakes and mineral gold. To cap off our meal, we enjoyed housemade dark chocolate with a thoughtful note from the restaurant. Overall, this lunch was one of the highlights of our trip and ranks among the top dining experiences.

Excellent experience, even for lunch! Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you’re in Montreal. Service and food were amazing.

Came here for their special spring break menu with 5 services for 75$. The lobster cappucino is amazing as always. The brioche bread was pretty good and the lobster risotto had a lot of lobster chunks in it. The steak was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The desserts were a bit of a let down. The service was fast and the staff were very nice and friendly. The place is clean and nicely decorated.

Absolute worst experience of my life. Me and my wife were more disappointed with the food at every serving. We provided with the wrong cutlery, then when we asked for them we already “finished” what we had and where provided with too much cutlery. The lobster was given with a smokey brick which was not removed, my wife was placed in a corner seat and the smoke suffocated her. I had to ask for the brick to be removed giving them my plate and glass which left us with one plate to eat off of. The bread we paid extra for was taken away from us while we were still eating. The steak was no better than a cheap stake I could buy from super c. The desert was litterly just Cotten candy and chocolate. There was nothing special about either desert. The chocolate tasted like the chocolate they place out at a hotel comfrence room and the gold got all over my cloths. After not eating anything mcdonalds was the highlight of our night McDonald’s. Staff was rude, and didn’t help us at all. Cannot stress this enough. It was my wife’s birthday and she left in tears.

Yelp
Top and just slightly more casual than the europea that is in the same building/place. Service remains perfect and so kind and arranging. Places where all staff really want you to have the meal of your week/ month/year are so rare now! Food is delicious and so perfectly well executed. Of course some items may be better than others ( lobster and tenderloin are top of top). I usually go for a la carte rather than tasting menu, but all menu items are worth trying. Expensive ok but so many places as expensive and not achieving half of what you get there! Looking forward my next visit ( but there is a good amount of very good restaurants in montreal also!)

Yelp
An excellent, high quality meal without being too formal or fancy. Definitely a place for a special occasion but also reasonable enough to go for a random meal. We started with a complementary parmesan churro, which was rich and delicious. Our apps were the lobster cappuccino, a signature dish, and the watermelon gazpacho, a seasonal special. Although quite different, both were flavorful and made us excited for the mains. The cappuccino was a foamy bisk with chunks of lobster while the gazpacho was bright, cool, and perfect for the summer night. The meals were the flank steak, which was grilled perfectly and served with very crispy fries, and the chicken in a more sweet, almost Asian hoisin, type sauce. Both were good portions and executed well. With so many options in Montreal, it's hard to say we will be back since there was nothing particularly special, but overall we very much enjoyed this place.

Yelp
Five stars for service and sides. 1 star for the steak. What an utter disappointment to receive a medium rare filet pre-sliced and over cooked.

Yelp
Don't let the door fool you, Beaver Hall is there! After a lil walking journey through Montreal, we made it to Beaver Hall for a dinner to catch up with clients during a work conference. This was a popular spot as we noticed we weren't the only ones from our company there. This meal really put us in a positive shock at how much we enjoyed the food and the ambiance of it all. They take go big or go home as a motto. First off, we enjoyed the bread, the pâté with crostini, and the Parmesan twists as early bites before we got into appetizers. I ordered the tuna tartare and it was absolutely what I needed. Fresh, unique crunches from the wasabi peas and corn flakes, an even added crunch from the shrimp chips - I loved every bite. For entree I had the scallops and risotto dish. It was very easy to clear and empty the dish because the flavors were just right. I had been looking for a risotto all week and this hit the spot. Presentation is also beautiful on every dish. Whether it's the aesthetic or the showmanship, it was done with much to talk about at the table. My colleague ordered the lobster and we are still laughing about the charcoal smoke that came from the dish. Another colleague ordered the $60 set and it was all delicious according to him. He's from France and even said it compared well to the dishes in France. We ordered every dessert because we were having so much fun during our meal. Of the desserts, the best was the French toast which was a surprise to all. The soft texture and paired with ice cream made it all memorable. I had the Montreal "snow" and the cotton candy Island as well and really liked how it was something different, especially the notes of berry on the bottom. The crepes were a show and a savory sweet bite. Loved the notes of orange. Topped with thank you chocolates at the end and it was really a memorable meal. Beaver Hall created a space perfect for us to build relationships with our clients and have a great night. Details were the star and done exceptionally. Well done.

Yelp
Same owner and same name as the now closed eponymous restaurant located on Beaver Hall street, this restaurant occupies a part of the Jerome Ferrer restaurant. Curious concept: the first part is casual Beaver Hall, and if you keep moving in the same restaurant, the next section of the same restaurant, separated by a partial wall, is (more formal) Jerome Ferrer. Where it becomes stranger, is that although they have the different menus, you get served the same 4-5 appetizer courses in either restaurants. The food is good, but it's not as successful as the previous Beaver Hall which was an amazing French brasserie.
