Beavers Retreat Glamping

Stayed here the weekend just gone. It's the ideal escape in the countryside hidden away from the world. There is no electric in the domes but they do have torches there for you to use or like us you can bring your own. There is a shared freezer and each dome has its own mini locker to charge your phone. (Charger is attached to the locker) Your given 3 bags of logs and firestarters for the fire / Hot tub which is included. If you happen to use that and require more there is a charge. You have your own little kitchen area with gas oven, hob and bucket to wash your stuff which is next to your dome or you can go to the kitchen area just opposite the car park if needs be. There are 3 shared showers between the domes and you have your own private toilet which is coded so that nobody else can use it. A member of staff come and greeted us within the first couple of hours of arrival. Didn't catch his name but he seemed friendly, helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. The only downside for us was the bed. It wasn't that comfy both myself and my boyfriend went home with bad backs. Overall we enjoyed and would recommend to others. It's a lovely getaway

The site is immaculately kept and looks impressive upon arrival. Each pod has its own large private area; ( big enough to play garden games) ours was the original dome 1 which featured beds for up to 4 people and a wood fired hot tub, outside kitchen, picnic bench and fire pit. |Inside the dome was a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed, there also features a log burner if the weather isn’t favourable but we did not use this during our stay. You also get bedding and towels included. |The hot tub worked really well and we used this nearly every night with enough wood left for us to do this. Each dome gets its own toilet for use and there are shared showers but every one was really clean each time we used them. |There is no electric on site but lanterns and torches are provided but we did take some of our own too. |The gas cooker was a welcome addition in the little outdoor kitchen meaning a cuppa was easily achieved and even a fry up possible 🤩|WiFi was also available but this didn’t always work from the dome area so we would walk into the communal area to pick it up. Phone signal was almost non existent on our Vodafone connections. ||The only downsides that we felt let this wonderful place down was the proximity of the train track to the domes, we were well aware of this when we booked and in truth the trains did not really bother us, (the family next door were much louder!) but it would have been 5 stars without the trains! ||All in all a wonderful 4 nights stay and will we return!! Thanks to Tom for his welcome and being a lovely host.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay here! The dome and the whole set up of the site was perfect for us. Each dome is in its own private garden area separated from others by planting. The spaces the domes are all in are all large and great. The wood fired hot-tub was a highlight for us and we used it both nights. We also made use of the fire-pit and indoor wood burner. Rob and Ruth both popped by to check all was ok on separate occasions and were extremely helpful, although we didn’t need help as everything was great. We’re already planning a return trip here…

We just stayed here on a mini honeymoon, our kids came with us on our actual honeymoon so this was a a chance to have some time the two of us. Lovely experience, dome was roomy, bed very comfortable, well equipped with crockery etc. site was quiet and peaceful. Clean toilets and shower. Hot tub was lush and both that the stove were easy to use. Tenby is a short drive, manorbier is close A 5⭐ weekend. Thank you to Tom, we had no issues but easy to get hold of if needed.

Absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in one of the Xl Domes and it had more than enough room, 2 Adults and 2 Teenagers plus our bags. The dome was spotless, bedding and towels were lovely and clean and all the cutlery and crockery were clean. The log burning fire was a great added bonus because it did get nippy when the sun went down (mid September). Outside the gas cooker was undercover and a very good added touch, we’ve been glamping many a time but having the cooker really did help massively. The hot tub was amazing and it really did get nice and toasty warm. The surrounding grass areas were well kept, clean tidy, genuinely everything was clean, toilets, showers, shared sink, bins I mean everything! The site is a quite site and it really was nice and peaceful, so do not book if you like loud music and a loud atmosphere, Beavers is a tranquil place and as a family that suits us, it’s what we go away for. Tom the site manager was such a lovely man and extremely helpful and chatty, we genuinely didn’t need to contact him because everything was supplied for our stay. There is no fridge, they have a shared freezer, but we’re used to glamping so being without a fridge is no issue for us, and having a freezer allowed us to re freeze our ice packs and keep milk, butter, drinks cool that way. Charging lockers were a great added bonus too. We have planned our 2026 stay and can’t wait.

The pods are great, very spacious and comfortable. There IS wifi. :-)|The pitches are very private and very well kept.|The toilets are also private (one per pod - but in a different location).|The showers were great.|The hot tub was lovely.|There isn't much to say that is negative, However:|The pod we had was on the end and right next to the railway line. There is a level crossing very near to the site that is unmanned, this means that the trains slow down and sound their hooter whenever they pass. This happens every 20 mins or so during the day. Not so peaceful then. I guess that a pod further away would be better. |There isn't a convenience store nearby, which would be very nice, so everything must be bought beforehand.|The location is great, (apart from the trains), a short drive to Manorbier beach and handy for Freshwater east, Tenby, Lydstep etc. etc. |I would recommend this place for a stay, but with a note of caution regarding the trains - pod No. 3 is the closest to the track.

We normally go camping, but with a 7 month old we thought we'd ease ourselves in with a bit of glamping. We booked an EcoDome with two adults, baby and dog. ||The site is really well managed and Tom would come visit the site twice a day. On the one occasion I needed to contact him via WhatsApp he responded quickly and dealt with my query promptly. ||It's located in a lovely quiet location within a short drive from everything you need- quiet beaches, supermarkets/ local farm shops, points of interest etc. Each tent is well equipped with cutlery, crockery and has a good size private space. We particularly enjoyed the firepit and ordered our wood through the site- so convenient having it delivered to your dome!||Our favourite part was how it still felt like camping with the standpipes, gas stove to do your pasta on, but there were warm showers, clean toilets and even hot tubs if you book that option. ||Overall a great experience and we will be booking again if we decide to go glamping again.

It's a lovely location to visit local area. Hot tub a nice touch, living without a fridge is very difficult, we were unfortunately in having neighbours who allowed their adult son to visit on Saturday night and played awful music until gone 3am. Their youngest son said it was us, we live in Carew. The word retreat is key, but you will always find inconsiderate people wherever you go.
