I just bought a Friday meal and I bitterly regret my money. I threw everything away! Nothing was edible

I was there on the 12/14/2025 I went into the merchandise and I asked the food server how she selling the Acra she keeps starting at me for awhile afterwards start being aggressive by speaking Spanish I was like why you being so racist I'm not spanish and why you don't want to sell me she keeps on staring me down I ask for a manager she said no one is there this place needs to be reported to business bureau. I truly felt uncomfortable and discriminated against. It's a business where it should be keep professional. I took a video of her action.

The tassot goat is FANTASTIC. Yes you will wait a long time. Yes homegirl behind the counter is tired. Yes the place is hot and tiny, and you can skip all that if you order on grubhub. The point is I tried this for the first time and it was REALLY well marinated and tender and crispy. I will def be back for other stuff.
Only 4/5 stars because I said I wanted a combo twice so I could try other stuff, but it never happened. Someone mentioned customer service with non Hatians... I literally got more help from a lady in line. Having said that the food was worth it.

too bad 0 is not an option. I ordered a food through Uber Eats yesterday. The food came in the bag opened with the entire content spilled out. Disgusting service, no care put in the package. So sense of safety at all!!!

Worst Haitian restaurant I’ve ever ate from.. spent $94 in this crappy place. The food was oily plus I didn’t even get everything that I ordered. Waist of money

The food was great but there was only one person fixing the plate without gloves and she is receiving the money too. I explain to her, nicely, to place a bottle of hand sanitizer in the pantry that she can at least sanitize her hands after touching the money. She was receptive to thank me nicely.

I usually order from them on Uber Eats. I usually get the griot and Tasso. Food when delivered is sometimes cold even though I ordered right as they were opening. Sometimes it tastes like it was refried. Went in once after leaving Bobby's and never again.

They need to change their oil. The banan peze had a horrid taste. Also, lower the music so you can actually hear your client. The griot was dry as ever and lacked citron.

Yelp
It's not because you are non Haitian that they are cheap with the meat. I am Haitian American and went in there with my son to get some food. They filled up my plate with rice but when it came to meat they gave like 2 or 3 pieces of chicken. Then they wanted to charge me $20 for all that rice and 2 pieces of chicken. I told that lady she can go ahead and put the food back. I wasn't paying 20 dollars for that. I needed the food for both me and my son, the rice was adequate for both of us, but they need to give more meat. This was several years ago, before covid and inflation. I hoped they would have gotten it together by now but I just read a review from a non Haitian complaining about the small meat portions. You are right about the meat portions but it is not because you are non Haitian as they do it to Haitians too.

Yelp
It was my friends and I last day in New York and we wanted some pumpkin soup. We googled up some Haitian restaurants in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant. We called prior to going because it was a drive and we had a flight to catch in the afternoon. When we got there the location is pretty tight. No seating area in the outside but a window area to sit at outside. I ordered the pumpkin soup and a chicken pate code. They gave a hefty portion of the soup which my friend and i were able to share. The soup was delicious and tasted like what my mother makes every new year. The chicken pate was also amazing just a tad bit too greasy. To wash this all down fresh squeezed limeade. This place is reasonably priced and the food is amazing. Only drawback is no seating so you have to get your food and go.

Yelp
I would've give it a great rating because I normally go there. I ordered through GrubHub this time and I received the order. Instead of the driver dropping my order first. Mind you I literally live like six to twelve minutes from the store. The driver gave my food last and the food wasn't even hot anymore. Also it wasn't the food I ordered. It was supposed to be pork only. The image was (griot) fried pork. I got something else, so technically I got rob

Yelp
I'm West Indian and tbh if you're not Haitian they will rip you off. I just paid $20 for a huge portion of rice. 3 pieces of chicken and legume. How is this dinner? I won't be back. Disappointed, wanted to support the Haitian community. Shouldn't be ripping outsiders off

Yelp
This is why I feel Haitian restaurants will never progress. I'm haitian and it was such a disappointment. I was in the mood for griot, du ri and sos pwa blanc. I made the order through ubereats and specified it. Instead, i got a plate of fritay. When I called and asked if I would get the order that I paid for sent to my house, the lady on the phone said, "NO". What type of customer service is that? I didn't make the mistake, they did.

Yelp
Excellent experience! Warm and friendly people; fresh ready-to-eat food (quick bites) as you walk in; great prices and they have a vast variety of dishes and combos you can make yourself. They never once said they were out of anything, which is a huge plus for me as this is usually common within Caribbean shops for whatever reason. I often dislike to settle when I have my heart set on something; so they literally had everything I wanted and debated on ordering also. They also have sodas straight from the island, which I like to wash down with the spicy slaw (pikliz) on the side. Truly a great example and representation of Haitian flavor in the community.

Yelp
My non-Haitian hubby LOVES fritay. The competition is serious in Brooklyn, especially when it comes to Haitian cuisine. However, if you want more bang for your buck and plenty of flavor in your fritay...this is your #1 spot. We have been to a few other eateries, and they are not definitely up to par. Additionally, this location is your best chance if you want tassot cabrit (goat). The entire meal is fried perfection. I am so thankful that they also accept cards and not just cash. We are loyal customers. The cashier/server is nice as well. During warmer months, you can make a sharp right and grab a seat at their outdoor counter.
