Authentic Italian restaurant in CBD. I've enjoyed this restaurant a few times, and it never let me down. The staff is friendly, the service and the environment are humble. However, the food is a blessing. For this review I enjoyed Vitello tonnato, carpaccio, orecchiette, saltinbocca and the panna cotta. A joy for your palate! Flavours are all spot on and the coffee was perfect to seal the meal. Experience for yourself the Italian cuisine, they'll surprise you at every opportunity! Grazie ragazzi e buon lavoro!

We had a nice meal at Becco and the service was friendly and very pleasant. The crusty bread by Baker Boys was excellent. I also love the mussels. The porterhouse was good too though not outstanding. My friends loved their snapper fillet and duck risotto. The shoestring fries was fine but I would like them to be more crispy. It was just a too soft for my taste. We had a really nice bottle of Italian Pinot Nero.

Staff were excellent. Bread was delicious, as were the side dishes, saltimbocca, roast chicken and duck special. The seafood fregola was too heavily salted however. The chianti was all rounded, non offensive wine that went with the mixture of foods that we had.

A classic Italian restaurant with spacious seating. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the veal saltimbocca and the veal was so tender and juicy. I would love to come back to try their other dishes for sure. Also wanted to just call out that their bread is impressively crusty and soft - something I don’t commonly share.

Happened to find this place while browsing for restaurants on google. We very pretty happy with our choice to go here! Service was amazing, very warm and welcoming ambience. The kingfish, fries and the oysters blended in perfectly with our mood for the night and the cheese board was generous! For the desserts we had the molten chocolate pudding and apple pie. While the pie was not upto our expectations, the chocolate pudding tasted great! Thanks for an amazing night

BECCO offers a delightful dining experience with its small deli entrance, charming ceiling fans, and walls adorned with wine storage. The open kitchen allows a view of the skilled chef in action (formerly known for Hochi Mama and Rice Paper Scissors) The culinary journey began with the impressive scallop crudo, adorned with caviar and blood orange in citrus dressing. A true sensory delight! Sharing our mains, the fregola with a seafood medley and Gnocci Osso Buco, were both exquisite. The Rocket, Fennel, Orange salad complemented the mains perfectly. Closing the evening on a sweet note, the Tiramisu and a satisfying flat white from 36° Coffee Roasters provided a harmonious end to our gastronomic adventure. A must-visit for those seeking a culinary symphony!

Most amazing attention to detail with service. We were made to feel very special from the moment we arrived. Great variety of dishes to graze on, today's special roast quail. Would be back regularly, in a heart beat if we live here..

Found this beauty whilst collecting Tickets from Princess Theatre at Midday. The Manager was amazing and was able to Book me in for Pre-Theatre Dinner @ 1800hrs the same day on a Tuesday Night. We had the Specials plus Dessert and were out of there within 45 minutes. HIGHLY Recommend.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurant I have been to in Melbourne. We had calamari, spaghettini, oxtail, and red velvet cake. All of them are superb, and it is rare. From all the places I have eaten in Melbourne, I believe they have the best calamari. They are done proper; baby squid and light breading. I personally am not a spaghetti fan because they tend to use pre-made spaghetti. However, Becco's very very different and I think they are freshly made. Al dente is barely describing it. It was bouncy, moist, and flavorful. I can eat that allllll day. Drooling as I type, the oxtail was perfect. It melted in my mouth. And it was good finish as an entree. The dishes are not massive, but good enough to share for two. I would recommend making reservation. I am not going to comment on wine because that is someone's else job and career. Least to say, they have a good wine list and I enjoyed my wine. I would also recommend outdoor tables during the warm season in Melbourne. Very chill and European like. The End.

Yelp
For some reason Becco isn't nearly as impressive as I thought it would be. I really wanted to like the restaurant and expected it to stand amongst other Italian giants like Grossi and Bottega but it just didn't measure up. The menu is small, and while it offers some authentic and rustic charm with dishes like duck leg confit with radicchio and grappa sauce, and spaghetti Marinara, the price tags are somewhat less charming at $41 and $42 a piece. I would highly recommend Becco as a destination for some pricey but fabulous desserts. Elderflower semifreddo ($16.50) and lemon custard with poached rhubarb, raspberry dust and marshmallows ($17.50) are the standouts. The service is okay, but unfortunately not overly warm and while the setting is very comfortable, it simply isn't as exciting as a few other options around the corner. Becco would be great and very worthwhile, if only the price tag was at least $10 lower.

Yelp
Becco: it's a Melbourne institution. If you like your food with smears and foams, then this, my friend, is not the place for you. This is about traditional Italian style food with a modern twist. The prices are befitting of an institution. Expect white tablecloths and great table service. This isn't the kind of place you ever need to worry about topping up your own glass. Oh no. It's charming, dark and sophisticated and popular with the business crowd for lunch. At dinner, you'll find a mix of couples to small groups - nothing too rowdy. This is Melbourne, after all.

Yelp
Highly reliable Melbourne classic. Nice space, lovely food, good wine list, generally very good service. Not cheap but justifiably so. Recommended.

Yelp
This is a great spot in Melbourne but bring your appetite. I got a huge piece of breaded veal. It tasted amazing but was big enough to share as a starter. The bolognese was fantastic as well but huge. I think they had to roll me out of here!

Yelp
It's about my fourth time here and I must say it's been very consistent. Service is always good and food is very good. Wish the wine list was a bit more extensive but always seem to manage to find a good bottle. Room at the top is good for an event 10-15 folks. Great job keep up the good work. Can't go wrong on this place.
