First time visiting Beck Hall and cannot wait to go back. From the moment we checked in the staff were so welcoming and kind - our dog quickly took a liking to them all! The room was cosy and clean, and the bed was super comfy. We slept very well with only the sound of wildlife outside. The food was an absolute highlight, I especially recommend the breakfast pastries, blue corn tacos small plate, seitan shortrib, and the ice creams - just sensational. Would love to come back to try the Sunday roast, am sure it would be immense. The only improvement I could say is I wish the portions were a little smaller so I could have tried more of the dishes. The scenery nearby was so beautiful! Just a few minutes up the road was a very easy walk to Malham Cove where we took the dog each morning - some cows and sheep around but dogs are fine on leads. Also went a little further to Janet's Foss which was a peaceful little waterfall. We frequently bumped into other people also staying at the hotel and ended up having some lovely chats (so many of the guests are so friendly!). Would strongly recommend Beck Hall and especially the restaurant to absolutely anyone - we can't wait to come back! Thank you to all the staff who made us, our dog, and even the little rescue bird i ended up having to bring with me so very welcome and at home here :)

Really lovely place with excellent food. We were so impressed with this place, the location is amazing, the staff were very nice, the room was great and the food is some of the best Ive had in years. They coped so well with me needing gluten free, actually coped is the wrong word because it just wasn't an issue and I felt very confident that they knew what they were doing. The dining room was beautifully decorated too. Honestly the food was so good it's worth a drive out there just for dinner. The location is scenic with several lovely walks near by.

Went for my birthday as my birthday gift. It's been a dream of mine to stay at a vegan hotel and this one is located with walking routes which is fantastic. The only thing I can fault, which wasn't really much of one as it took us off grid is no phone signal and WiFi didn't work.||However, the room was really clean and we loved the style and decoration of it. We were provided with a plant milk and plant based chocolates in the room. The toilets were clean and had a sky light.||The food was absolutely incredible. Best food I've ever had I think and being able to have pastries for breakfast and a dessert at dinner was like a fever dream. The hotel is on the pricier side but that's to be expected with a vegan hotel. However the restaurant operates for more than just guests so you could stay anywhere, including camping and still pay for food. We will be going back with family for sure. Best hotel experience I've ever had.||There isn't a huge amount to do in the general area but we only stayed 1 night so that wasn't a problem for us.

This was a shared birthday experience for my sister and I. We started with afternoon tea the day we arrived. This was lovely, the scones perfect 😍. ||The location is fabulous and all of the staff are so friendly and helpful.||We had breakfast both days which was great, and the evening meal on our second night. It is so nice to eat out knowing we will get something more than just a bowl of chips!! The chocolate and toffee pot dessert and the breakfast pancakes are particularly worth their own mention .||The heating system is very responsive and can be adjusted, and was sadly needed as one day of our stay was torrential rain for 24 hours. We were able to warm up and get clothes dry.||Will come again.

We stayed over the weekend for my daughter’s 30th Birthday with our two dogs. This place is just fabulous. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, the decor is tasteful and modern, the staff are extremely helpful but not overbearing, the menu offers very well considered vegan options that are not only a feast for the eyes but exceptionally delicious. If like us you are a vegan foodie and you love great quality, comfort and attention to detail then this wee place for you. We did not want to leave. In fact we checked out then went back again after our walk for Sunday lunch in the sunshine by the riverside. We can’t wait to return and we are excited already for the new vegan hotel in Wales. Top marks guys. .We would definitely recommended a visit and can’t think of anything at all that you could be improved.

Have stayed at Beck Hall twice and it's a magical little place. Set in a stunning location with beautiful walks from the doorstep. Lovely staff and a fabulous place to dine. Creative, well presented and delicious vegan food, with charming views of the little brook. Breakfast and coffee the next morning were also great. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.

Had the loveliest stay over the weekend with my partner and dog. ||The food was incredible, from breakfast through to evening meal we couldn’t fault any of it! The location was ideal for lovely walks and pubs near by. My only small gripe was the room was very very small for a couple and a dog, we couldn’t fit the kettle under the sink to be able to fill it up, there was also a light on in the hallway all night that kept us awake as there was quite a gap round the door. However, this wouldn’t deter me from going back but would advise if they can try and offer slightly larger rooms to people with dogs as there’s not much room for them! ||Have recommended to so many people already and will definitely be returning to this vegan paradise! Thank you so much.

We recently returned to Beck Hall for our second visit, having thoroughly enjoyed our experience last year. Everything from the food to the service, room, and location left a positive impression on us. This year, we again booked a superior room, but we faced some challenges that we hope can be addressed. Unfortunately, the room we received was smaller than our previous one, and we encountered some ventilation issues in the bathroom that led to mould growth. Given that we have a 6-month-old, we had requested a deep clean for peace of mind. Additionally, we were surprised that this superior room did not include a bath, which was an important feature for us with a young baby. Our previous room did have a bath, and we were hoping for the same experience this time. On a positive note, the food was outstanding once again, and we truly appreciated the quality of the menu—it's fantastic to be able to know that we can enjoy everything offered. My husband did miss the prawn cocktail dish that was available during our last visit, and we hope to see it back on the menu in the future. Lastly, we would like to extend our gratitude to David, who served us during both visits. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience, and we believe Beck Hall is incredibly fortunate to have him on the team. We would gladly hire him without hesitation. Overall, we appreciate the charm of Beck Hall and look forward to seeing some improvements during our next stay.

Yelp
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights earlier this week, booked through MacsAdventure. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The location is wonderful - in a quiet village, on a large stream with ducks, near walking trails. Our room was nicely sized and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could have been a larger and a bit cleaner (mold on ceiling above shower). Our room (#5) was directly above the kitchen, and therefore we had extra noise and heat. Even with the chilly temperatures outside and leaving a window open (only 1 of the 2 worked), we got hot at night. The restaurant was very good and we ate several meals there - good breakfast (included with room), good selection, and the passion fruit cheesecake was amazing. The one negative with the restaurant was the curry. The staff was very friendly, probably the friendliest that we've encountered on this trip.

Yelp
Beck Hall is an unusual B&B and tea rooms in picturesque Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. An old whitewashed building next to a stream, it is reached by crossing over on a clapper bridge made of stone - very narrow and quite precarious but magical. On certain nights you can visit here for an evening meal as we did on a recent holiday in Malham. The interior of Beck Hall is really welcoming - very warm and relaxing. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the meal we had was very good value being tasty and with generous portions. Unfortunately I was quite ill when we were in Malham but I felt a lot better after my visit to Beck Hall - maybe the food was extra nourishing! I'd like to go back there again, maybe to stay in one of the rooms or to have afternoon tea and sit beside the river on a sunny day.
