We went to Beck Hall, briefly last year calling for lunch on our way home to travel south towards Barnsley.|We were hungry and had lunch, being Vegan ourselves It was nice to find somewhere that we didn’t have to ask do you do anything vegan? A question at times that gets a rolling of the eyes in certain establishments! Not Beck Hall, the staff were attentive, the welcome wonderful and from that 2 hour stop off and eating beautiful food we decided to come back and spend a few days and take in the gorgeous scenery a few walks and once again eat the lovely food. We were not disappointed again every member of staff we met were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The food is next level i can be critical of some vegan food that you can eat in some restaurants as some chefs just don’t give it the love or it always seemed cooked in a rush so they can throw another slab of meat in the pan! Beck Hall is different every plate of food we had was stunning, well prepared beautifully seasoned and taken care of. Choices were good you can’t get bored if we had stayed longer i would have tried everything on the menu it was that good. I love the ethos of the place it was just a treat! The rooms were enchanting , the one we stayed in anyway, bed was comfy and everything clean.| So impressed and such a lovely time we had ,we have already booked for our wedding anniversary next year, just a charming wonderful place surrounded by stunning scenery with lots of places to explore. From start to finish 10 out of 10 for staff, food and accommodation, sure someone may find fault as people ,we are all different but thats my opinion and what’s not to like it’s in YORKSHIRE and as one fab member of staff kept saying it’s luvvly jubbly!!!! Thank you , Dean and Yvonne Holden , South Yorkshire xxxx

Have stayed at Beck Hall twice and it's a magical little place. Set in a stunning location with beautiful walks from the doorstep. Lovely staff and a fabulous place to dine. Creative, well presented and delicious vegan food, with charming views of the little brook. Breakfast and coffee the next morning were also great. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.

We recently returned to Beck Hall for our second visit, having thoroughly enjoyed our experience last year. Everything from the food to the service, room, and location left a positive impression on us. This year, we again booked a superior room, but we faced some challenges that we hope can be addressed. Unfortunately, the room we received was smaller than our previous one, and we encountered some ventilation issues in the bathroom that led to mould growth. Given that we have a 6-month-old, we had requested a deep clean for peace of mind. Additionally, we were surprised that this superior room did not include a bath, which was an important feature for us with a young baby. Our previous room did have a bath, and we were hoping for the same experience this time. On a positive note, the food was outstanding once again, and we truly appreciated the quality of the menu—it's fantastic to be able to know that we can enjoy everything offered. My husband did miss the prawn cocktail dish that was available during our last visit, and we hope to see it back on the menu in the future. Lastly, we would like to extend our gratitude to David, who served us during both visits. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience, and we believe Beck Hall is incredibly fortunate to have him on the team. We would gladly hire him without hesitation. Overall, we appreciate the charm of Beck Hall and look forward to seeing some improvements during our next stay.

I just stayed here for two nights in August. We came here because my wife watches 'Those Vegan Guys' on YouTube and they did a couple of pieces on the place, that made us book here. The room was amazing, staff & service were amazing and the food was beyond amazing. Cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus were (from my Vegan point of view) pure luxury. If you're a Vegan looking to stay here, do it and you won't regret it. Bar was good, nice range and great alcohol free choices for me. My room was a standard, lived it, comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom. There are some good local walks, it was a truly relaxing, beautiful weekend. Definitely coming back here.

This is the second this year my and my friend visited this lovely hotel. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The lovely lady who checked us in assisted us with getting a room with a bath. We came to the hotel with our huski and Dachshund ,because they are both rescue dogs and can be anxious they assisted us with carrying and cartering of their needs. We were especially the young gentleman from Liverpool and the lovely lady who helped us check in march and August. We will definitely be back. Thank you again.

Absolutely wonderful three-night stay in Beck Hall for our wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food service exceptional. The plant-based food was delicious, creative and satisfying and some of the best we've ever eaten. We really appreciated the hotel's commitment to a living wage for their staff, a diverse staff team, and their other ethical touches such as sustainable toiletries and vegan chocolate in the room! 15 out of 10. We'll be back next year.

I can't praise Beck Hall enough! From the lovely countryside atmosphere, to the beautifully decorated rooms, outstanding vegan food, attentive staff, and picturesque location. The meals were wonderful, and it was really nice not having to ask if there was any meat or dairy in the food (the staff also made sure to ask about allergens at every meal), with the high tea being my personal favorite - you need to book it 24 hours in advance and it's well worth it! The village is lovely and the nature walks were peaceful, but also challenging if you make it all the way to the Gordale Scar waterfall, where Netflix's The Witcher was filmed, and/or Mallham Cove, pictured in none other than Harry Potter! I absolutely loved having dogs around, which made it an instant icebreaker for chatting with fellow guests. There are only 21 rooms, which adds to the intimate setting you are immersed in once you check in. Hands down, the most perfectly relaxing weekend getaway!!!

Beautiful hotel with attentive and warm welcoming staff. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The food was of a very high standard with the best vegan roast I’ve ever had. Don’t get me started on the deserts! Ooh the sticky toffee pudding 🤤 Our room was clean and very cosy, we all slept extremely well and we can’t wait to return!

Yelp
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights earlier this week, booked through MacsAdventure. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The location is wonderful - in a quiet village, on a large stream with ducks, near walking trails. Our room was nicely sized and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom could have been a larger and a bit cleaner (mold on ceiling above shower). Our room (#5) was directly above the kitchen, and therefore we had extra noise and heat. Even with the chilly temperatures outside and leaving a window open (only 1 of the 2 worked), we got hot at night. The restaurant was very good and we ate several meals there - good breakfast (included with room), good selection, and the passion fruit cheesecake was amazing. The one negative with the restaurant was the curry. The staff was very friendly, probably the friendliest that we've encountered on this trip.

Yelp
Beck Hall is an unusual B&B and tea rooms in picturesque Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. An old whitewashed building next to a stream, it is reached by crossing over on a clapper bridge made of stone - very narrow and quite precarious but magical. On certain nights you can visit here for an evening meal as we did on a recent holiday in Malham. The interior of Beck Hall is really welcoming - very warm and relaxing. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the meal we had was very good value being tasty and with generous portions. Unfortunately I was quite ill when we were in Malham but I felt a lot better after my visit to Beck Hall - maybe the food was extra nourishing! I'd like to go back there again, maybe to stay in one of the rooms or to have afternoon tea and sit beside the river on a sunny day.
