We recently returned to Beck Hall for our second visit, having thoroughly enjoyed our experience last year. Everything from the food to the service, room, and location left a positive impression on us.
This year, we again booked a superior room, but we faced some challenges that we hope can be addressed. Unfortunately, the room we received was smaller than our previous one, and we encountered some ventilation issues in the bathroom that led to mould growth. Given that we have a 6-month-old, we had requested a deep clean for peace of mind. Additionally, we were surprised that this superior room did not include a bath, which was an important feature for us with a young baby. Our previous room did have a bath, and we were hoping for the same experience this time.
On a positive note, the food was outstanding once again, and we truly appreciated the quality of the menu—it's fantastic to be able to know that we can enjoy everything offered. My husband did miss the prawn cocktail dish that was available during our last visit, and we hope to see it back on the menu in the future.
Lastly, we would like to extend our gratitude to David, who served us during both visits. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience, and we believe Beck Hall is incredibly fortunate to have him on the team. We would gladly hire him without hesitation.
Overall, we appreciate the charm of Beck Hall and look forward to seeing some improvements during our next stay.
