We enjoyed our dinner and drinks. I was excited to try the German fare. The snitzel was very good. I do think the beverages were overpriced. This may be due to the ski-town mentality, not sure. $12 for a glass of house chardonnay is pricey. Oh well. We also visited the Yurt Bar after dinner. I would come again for this experience. The band, Warden & Company, was excellent. Cozy atmosphere with excitement music. This, we enjoyed. Overall, very good and I would come again.

Been going since I got my pass for Gore. I like their german food. Schnitzel is pretty good (I lived in Dresden for 2 years)

The food was AMAZING, some of the best pierogi and kielbasa I've had in a while. Their fries are perfectly cooked as well, perfect as a side. The atmosphere is really cozy and the Yurts are a blast to hang out in.

Absolute gem in the Gore area. They have a fun bar inside a yurt connected to other yurts with games. Kids loved it and was a great place to chill while waiting for our table to be ready. The food was beyond solid - may have not had the highest expectations but they blew through them. I had their chicken schnitzel and could have drunk the mushroom sauce straight from the cup. Only negative on the food front was their version of pizza - it had thick not super melted cheese and looked and tasted like a poor at home attempt to make pizza. Overall one of the better dining experiences we had up by Gore and a fun way to spend an evening

Ate outdoors with live bluegrass music, and the ambiance was nice. The beet salad itself was disappointing, beets seemed canned, there were barely any nuts in the salad either. The pierogi were clearly mass produced and cooked from frozen. The pork schnitzel was very tasteless, literally tasted like nothing. Chicken was dry.

Stopped for food and was pretty good. The portions are big but pricey. Small menu. It’s a german based menu which was weird because the atmosphere is more Adirondack and ski vibes so I don’t understand the german reference. The service was not too good. Both of our servers were awkward and didn’t know how to take our order or answer easy questions about beer/food. However the food came out fast. After the food we explored outside and it is such a cute neat little place. There are a couple yurts with a cozy atmosphere inside. There’s a bar, tables, TV, games, darts and more to hang out. The outside area is also so cool with live music and tons of chairs. Overall, probably wouldn’t go back for food but if you’re looking for a neat place to hang out with friends/family this is it!

Fun local bar with a German-inspired full menu and big beer+cocktail selection. You can book lodging right across the parking lot and not have to worry about driving after an evening of apres fun.

I really like the drink menu and availabilities at the bar seat, all hard and soft drinks available 🍹 🍺 , especially after day trip hike, all you need seat at the bar and order a drink and enjoy 😉. Also, we ordered House made apple pie 🥧 with ice cream & whip cream, it was pretty good and delicious 😋 Entire structure is perfect 👍 separation of entrance and exit is one of the best ideas 💡 we need during COVID Shiitt show. 😬😬 🥳🥳 we will stop by for another hike and try something else from your menu. If you want a taste of the mountain vibe, Becks is the place for you. The restaurant is frequented packed with patrons, but you can always chill out in the yurts with a round of darts or pool or just a chill evening of music and friends If you are in North Creek, make sure you save an evening for becks!

Food was buns, service was slow and unkind, the ambiance was hostile. NOT RECOMMEND. Went in a big group and servers socialized instead of helping. There was 1 server, who wasn't even ours, who was more helpful than the actual server we had

We got 2 burgers for takeout. Both ordered as medium rare. These babies were cooked through. Despite being a hockey puck... My husband and I felt sick all night long after we ate them. I was very close to throwing up. Won't be back. Sad :(

You're either drinking by a campfire or inside of a yurt! What more could you ask for? I came with my family here two years in a row, and neither experience disappointed. The first year was warmer, so we sat outside the main bar by their outdoor fireplace. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The second year (this year), there was a lot more snow still on the ground, so we went inside. There are actually 3 yurts combined into one "Mega Yurt" with three rooms. One was the bar, the second was a chill room with a gigantic TV the size of a small child, and the third seemed to be more overflow of the first two. The yurt area and the main bar were separate buildings. As the former had no running water, only beer and wine were served inside there. However, we were encouraged to go to the main bar for food/any drinks that might require ice (or hot chocolate!) and then come back and enjoy the yurt with it, once those have been acquired. That was an easy sell, and we were soon enjoying beer cheese and pretzels, along with spiked hot chocolates inside the yurt. This place is lovely, no matter where you sit and hang out!

Took 20 minutes to be seated. Waited another 30 then we waited out. Sorry maybe next we will actually try your menu.

2 of my friends had allergies, the server aknowledged allergies and still served us food that was contaminated. Menu is not accurate either $2 up charge for cheese on a cheeseburger is crazy. We were charged for food we never received and the food was mid at best. Also avoid ice tea tasted like someone took dirt and put it in a cup.

Love the decor and ambiance walking in. The dining area is quite large and plenty of seating to be spaced out from others. It was pretty quiet when we went and seat yourself so we were in an area all by ourselves. Service was pretty quick. We were all starving after hiking. Menu has good variety. I ordered the bratwurst and it was filling but taste wise it was okay. Also if you're going during lunch, I would just double check that they charge you for the lunch prices and not dinner prices. They mischarged us for the dinner prices which is a few dollars more. I'm just glad I remembered that the numbers didn't look the same.

Cute place. Stopped by for lunch. The Wiener schnitzel was more like a pork chop with 4C seasoned bread crumbs. It was still pretty good. The mushroom sauce and homemade mustard were excellent. The pierogis and kielbasa were ok. Kielbasa was more like krautwurst sliced into disks and sautéed. The pierogis did have caramelized onions but looked more like deep fried empanadas. Even though the food wasn't the styles we get "down state" from the German immigrants, the food was delicious and the ambiance was cool.

Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere. The Rubeck & Poutine are my favorites! It's always a treat going to Beck's!

Gordon Ramsey get here ASAP!!! Some of the worst food I've ever put in my mouth. You should be ashamed for charging $18 for a frozen meal you put in the microwave. Devoid of flavor. The pierogis tasted like freezer burn, the sauerkraut tasted like saltwater, I couldn't tell where the meat ended and the bread began in my sandwich. When the waitress asked how our meal was I told her straight that it was really not good. Instead of apologizing or offering to comp the meal, she took it personally! $37 for the cost of food poising. For the sake of one's own digestive track DO NOT ENTER here.

While the salad looks better than the first one I was served, the ingredients are still way off from what is listed in the menu. I won't comment on the burger and fries since those needed to be heated up after running back and forth to get the replacement salad.

Visited the area for the weekend getaway, and we decided to check this place out. Surely, we are glad that we did. The overall atmosphere's awesome, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Slavic food dominates the menu- I had bratwurst and pierogies, both came out good. Definitely will come back again to try other food/ have a drink @ the yurt.

This was our second stop into Becks. First time was after a hike last fall and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were excited to head back this past weekend while we were in Indian Lake for the Eclipse. We made a bee-line for Becks when they opened on Saturday. We were greeted and seated quickly and then things fell off from there. The bartender working was what can only be described as indifferent. We placed our drink order with him and that was pretty much our last interaction. We were seated at the bar but had to place our food order with a waitress (it was not busy). The food came out quickly, but there was some confusion with the kitchen as they kept bringing us food we didn't order. That would normally be a fine problem to have, but unfortunately none of the food we actually ordered was very good. The poutine was a gooey mess. The kielbasa and pierogies were over cooked. The boneless chicken wings were thankfully decent. The bartender eventually returned to collect our partially eaten plates, but never bothered to ask us if we would like another round (which we did). We had all we could do to get the check and flee. We get that North Creek is between seasons and Becks was probably only open to take advantage of the Eclipse tourists, but the lousy service we received de-railed our plans to have a nice Saturday session and made us wonder if we should even bother to stop in again when they open in earnest. We arrived very excited to be back at Becks and left deflated. If this were our first time at Becks we would never return. As it stands, we'll give them another shot next time we're local just to see which of our visits was the fluke.

Omg!! Not what I expected. My girlfriend and I had done the revolutionary rails earlier in the day and we're looking for a place to eat. This place was a great surprise. We ordered the pierogies, the kielbasa with red cabbage and the poutine!!! As a Polock, I have zero complaints. Kudos to our server Matt!! As a bonus, they had a yurt outside and live music!!!!! A great night. Not only were the servers friendly but so were the clientele.

After a day of Whitewater rafting, went for dinner at Becks, the food was fresh but the steak I ordered came out cooked perfectly but was just warm. Friendly waitress but she was overwhelmed. Other people in my party had to wait for their gravy for their dinner. The grounds are very nice with a fire pit and Yurts here in The USA we call them tents lol. This is a great place in the fall to listen to music and see the fall colors. Ciao for now.

Really enjoyed this place. Some entrees are big enough to share, unless you're really hungry. Almost makes you feel like you're in the old country. I can't wait to go back.split the strudel.

Third time we visited and were very disappointed in the food. Potato pancakes were fried hard mashed potato balls Polish sausage ok Schnitzel was ok Pierogi were no better than Mrs. Ts frozen

Visited Beck's Tavern in 2022 with approximately a dozen friends and it was great (5 stars). Great food! Lots of options. Dined at Beck's Tavern in 2023, with the same friends, and it was very disappointing. We visited the Barton Garnet Mine (great experience) prior to Beck's Tavern. We had high expectations based on our previous visit in 2022. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We'll definitely try another dining establishment next year. Last year the menu was more expensive, lots of options, this year it was typical pub food.

I loved this German restaurant! I highly recommend! Not too far from Lake George! They have live music!

Very Disappointing. Advertised drink special items were all out of stock. Server could not explain food items on menu. Service was slow. Food was burned/overcooked. Mistake made on bill. Credit card almost lost. Prices high. We'd never go back there.

Beer was cold! Piza great! Super nice place! Service excellent! We couldn't of asked for a better ending to our historic visit.

Extremely disappointed and would not eat here again. All our food was sub par. I ordered the pork schnitzel and my friend ordered the chicken schnitzel. Both of our dishes tasted like nothing but heavily breaded and fried meat. No seasoning and we couldn't tell pork from chicken. The mashed potatoes were completely bland and our side vegetables were clearly frozen veggies from a bag. My broccoli consisted almost entirely of stems. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi which is supposed to have a light kick. The waitress said it's not that hot. It came out covered in red pepper flakes and she found a long hair mixed in with her pasta. Needless to say we sent that dish back. We were excited for this place since there aren't many restaurant options in the area, but a beer is the only thing I'd order here again.

Great atmosphere, great service, and good food. Great place to stop in at after the slopes at Gore Mountain.

The food and service were both excellent. We went twice on a short Xmas weekend trip. Everyone was friendly and made us feel right at home. Cozy environment. Great staff!!

Like so many food services this summer, Beck's appears to be struggling with having enough kitchen staff. However, the bartender in the main building was up front about the wait we would have for our food, so it's all good! The outdoor area is awesome. Lots of tables and comfy chairs. Corn-hole! The bartender in the yurt makes you feel right at home. We enjoyed most of our food, especially our friend who ordered the kielbasa. And if you like dogs, this is the place! Both times we have visited, there have been friendly dogs in the yard, willing to be loved! Even in the summer, it is clear this is a skier's haunt, which makes for a great ambience.

Came in early evening on an fall day. We were greeted by a lovely outdoor fire and outdoor music but opted to dine inside because it was a bit chilly. The space was very nice and clean and we were seated quickly. That's about where any positive review for this place ends. There was an obvious tension in the air between all staff. Our waitress stated they were understaffed but we counted a lot of staff that spent a lot of time at the bar deep in whatever drama was going on. Our waitress seemed to be the common denominator in that drama and was clearly disgruntled with and down right rude to younger staff. She was so focused on the drama she forgot to put in part of our order so it was never prepared, she forgot a drink order then rolled her eyes and brought something over that we didn't order when we asked about the status of our drink. She Rolled her eyes again when we asked for the right thing. She took our plates and stacked them on top of each other before we had a chance to let her know we needed boxes for leftovers. We watched her do the same thing to the table next to us. The food was actually good but overpriced for what it was. Really wanted to love the place. Disappointed.

Came here in Late fall. Ordered the pierogis, they were horrendous probeably Ms T's. Which are not even close to real pierogies. Beer was good, food is not authentic...at all

We tried this place for lunch after revolution rail. Overpriced for below average food. I ordered pork schnitzel but the waitress brought out chicken schnitzel instead which was basically greasy over fried chicken breast. I was too nice to complain about the incorrect order. My son's brat sandwich was also very dry. Husband's Reuben wrap wasn't good at all. Beer selection was limited and tasted funky bad.

We came in with a group of 10 and they accommodated us quickly. The food & drinks were excellent. They also have a kids menu which was great. The waitress and bartender were very nice as well.

I'm so glad we got to eat here for our stay the food was good and we tried a few items on the menu. I got a burger that was cooked perfect and fries were crispy how I like them. My girlfriend for the Ruben she gets that everywhere we go and she said it was good. We also got the potato's pancakes and pretzel which we never had before. Both were excellent . We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening watching the hummingbirds around the flowers.

I want to begin this review by saying I loved Becks. I love the concept, I love what the owners have done with the place, I love the bar and tap selection, and love what they have contributed to our community. And I can remember when overall the place was excellent. Because of that, I was more likely to patronize Becks than any other restaurant in the region. But I am writing this review because the last four times that I have gone there, taking friends with me from out of town to experience the place, the service was off, the kitchen was understaffed and slow, and the food disappointing. Each time we were told that they don't have enough people. But honestly, that doesn't explain it all. So, after I was embarrassed last time, I decided that Becks is a great place to drink and go to listen to good local musicians. That is still strong. But until they figure out how to organize the kitchen in this new normal, have dinner somewhere else first and then go for the music and beer. If I didn't love Becks I wouldn't bother to even write this review. I hope you guys get it together soon - I miss the old Becks.

Becks tavern offers great table side service to its customers that is unsurpassed anywhere in the north country. The yurt hosts bands daily and you can now ski from the hudson ski bowl to Becks through the connector trail off of the Schaefer trail. Big Air Dave has spoken...

What a disappointing visit. We ordered the poutine, beet salad, and pierogis with kielbasa. The poutine had soggy fries with barely melted cheese curds. The salad came out with feta cheese, which we had specifically asked not to have on it. When I let the server know (not our main waitress who was actually nice) she rolled her eyes at me and gave me a dirty look. The salad quickly came out with no feta. The beets were definitely canned and orange slices still had pits in them. The pierogis were over cooked and there was Parmesan cheese for some reason on it. Clearly, nothing is made from scratch at this place. So you're paying fairly high prices for mediocre food and rude service. We will never go back.

First time in the area and had to check out this place. Bartender Mike was amazing and everyone was so nice! Loved the yurt outside with live music.

Great service but the soda that we got tasted more like water then soda then after this water that I unexpectedly ordered I was met with a German Pretzel and I said to myself you can't go wrong with a Pretzel but I was wrong. The Pretzel was could and whoever made it didn't put any salt. Also we waited at least an hour for only appetizers. After this we got news that the chef unexpectedly left and that they only had 1 chef. At this point in time the only thing we could do was to leave. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I was in North Creek over the weekend and I was taken to Beck's. This is a cozy and friendly restaurant/bar that serves old school German and Eastern European cuisine. It is very reasonably priced and food was tasty. The pretzels with cheese sauce are addictive.

absolutely the worst place to eat in the Adirondacks. service SUCKS! and the food will make you sick. can't even make a hamburger worthy of eating.

This is the worst place I have ever visited. Service was horrible, food cold, staff extremely rude. Will not give individual checks even if it is 3 people or 3 couples. Took over an hour to get food which was served one or two meals every 15 minutes. This is off season. I can't imagine when you have large parties. DO NOTWASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

The wings and pretzels with beer cheese were good, but the poutine was AMAZING. Small but well curated draft selection, with a good bottle selection as well. Great service, will definitely be back.

Stopped at becks for the first time after a day of skiing at Gore in late December. We arrived around 12:45pm and sat immediately. Within the hour of being there tables and the bar definitely filled up. We ordered 2 drusher IPAs for drinks. We each got tomato basil soup to start and then split the poutine appetizer and the pierogi/kielbasa dish. All of the food was delicious and really hit the spot after skiing. The tomato basil was fresh and had chunky tomatoes still in it. The poutine had cheese curds, gravy and melted cheese on top. Some of the fries were very crispy and others were really soft in the gravy. Our favorite dish was probably the potato/cheese pierogis and kielbasa. It was served with sauerkraut, caramelized onions and sour cream. He flavors all went so well together. Will definitely be back for a drink and yummy bites after skiing later this winter!

A gem in North Creek and Gore Mountain. On a recent summer evening, Becks was lively and welcoming. This family of 4 loved it! My salad was awesome. My kids enjoyed the schnitzel and bratwurst. They have local and German beers that were surprisingly varied and well priced. If you're thinking about a hearty meal, Becks is worth a visit. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had just been on the rail bikes with Revolution Rail, and were super hungry after. We came upon becks, which seemed to be like a small community when we came upon it. There was a decent sized music stage with a band accompanying everyone outside, a couple of yurts providing a variety of drinks, and the main tavern. We sat inside the tavern instantly, which had a nice clean atmosphere. My wife ordered the pierogies and kielbasa, which she raved about and couldn't stop saying, "This is so good." I had the cheeseburger (made from sirloin steak and chuck) and fries with this condiment called Joppoiesauce. The burger did not disappoint, and the Joppoiesauce was incredible, creamy, and added a nice touch to the burger and fries. My cosmo was heavy on the alcohol (mostly just vodka), and my wife's speciality cocktail (Lies) was crisp and refreshing. We don't get up to the Adirondacks much, but this made quite the impression on us. Thank you!
