Bed and Breakfast Stein am Rhein

Wow!!! What can I say – this place is absolutely lovely!!! ||The property is kept beautifully and the house itself is immaculate.||I can honestly say that I have never written my opinion or a comment for Trip Advisor before even though I have been traveling over 30 years of my life – all the time.||However after staying here I simply had to write something about this B&B.||The B & B itself is great but what makes it so special are Nelly and Roman – warm and genuinely good people – they care about their home and their guests and you realize this the moment you have contact with them. The rooms are warm and friendly and the breakfast is cozy with a wonderful choice of quality local products. The Bed and Breakfast itself has 2 guest rooms, one having a loft if you are more than 2. The bathroom is shared but is immaculate at all times and even has a SAUNA. The property is a bit outside of Stein am Rhein but the walk is lovely and refreshing (about 20 minutes). We stayed for a romantic weekend in September and have already booked our next romantic get-away for next July…can’t wait!!! I feel like they are the family I never met and now am so glad I did!!!

Nelly and Roman were the nicest and sweetest host you could ask for! Each morning an amazing breakfast with the absolutely BEST plum jam we have ever had awaited us. They went above and beyond by calling the restaurant we we eating at (Burg Hohenklingen, Top of Stein am Rhein and a FIVE star restaurant) to see if we wanted a ride home. As it was a crazy steep hillside and dark outside, we were very appreciative of the offer.||||If you are looking for a getaway weekend, look no further and book your stay at the Best Bed and Breakfast in Switzerland!

Our room was very comfortable and very clean. Lots of neat, funky touches to the decor. And a kitty to pet! We appreciated that since we missed our cats.||||Nelly & Roman were very nice. They were concerned that we would not find a place to eat on Christmas Eve so they invited us to join them. Roman cooked a yummy vegan meal for us - definitely above and beyond what we expected!||||Be aware that it is a fairly long, uphill walk from the train station fi you a re traveling by foot. ||||Stein am Rhein and Schaffhausen were gorgeously decorated for the holidays.

A lovely place to stay! Large, comfortable, attractive and quiet room, with tea-making facilities, and the hosts were very friendly and put us at ease right away. They speak very good English, too. ||||The breakfast was delicious, and Nelly generously encouraged us to pack up what we didn't need, to have as a picnic later on.

i have been many many places, this b and b far exceeds excellent. it is sooooooo comfortable, clean, quiet. the hosts, nelly and cesar are a wonderful couple and team.||i can not express enough how very comfortable and welcomed they made us feel. what a beautiful view from our bed, looking out at the castle. walk to the medeivel village, park outside the b and b..wait till you see the gourmet breakfast, so many wonderful treats. do not waste time looking for a better location or a better price!!!!!!! so very very comfortable and quiet.

Roman and Nelly are perfect hosts at this family run B&B. Their house is wonderful and the rooms are charming and the food superb. Their generosity makes this an outstanding place to stay. You will be so happy here and make sure you get to see the bicycles!

Do you want to witness an European village that is untouched by time? This is a photo oppoutunity of a life time. It is so clean, so fresh, so beautiful and it is the experience you will have strolling through Stein am Rhein. Enjoy the shops and restaurants, but don't forget your camera. It is open year around. You could easily enjoy a full day. It is off the beaten path but easily found and close by another wonderful attraction. Not far away is the only waterfall on the Rhine. The village is in Switzerland but German border is on two sides. Lake Constance, the origin of the Rhine, flows along the south and is a lovely walk. Located about one hour from Zurich, this area is a great day trip and worth your time.

This Bed&Breakfast is really nice!!! Rooms are big and well furnished and bathroom clean. Delicious breakfast and nice family! The place is amazing, just 10 min from city center walking distance. I guess the best option in Stein am Rhein!!
