Bed and Breakfast Trestelle

Very comfortable with very helpful host. Close to Piazza Cavour where you can get the bus to the airport. The host recommended several restaurants - I tried two of them and they were both excellent. Trattoria Clarice and Lageleria. The B&B is one flight up with no elevator. I will definitely stay here again. Lots of options for the breakfast. And a large fridge if you have food to keep cold.

The room was clean and the air condition was good! It was a little difficult to find the B&B since there was no large sign along the street, only a small piece of paper by the downstairs doorbell. The breakfast was basic - muesli and yoghurt and a Nespresso style coffee machine. There was no lift. The location is good: there is an underground garage nearby and the Trestelle gave us a coupon for a 25% rebate. It was easy to drive from there to the ferry check in point.

Have to say a big thank you to Angela for letting us stay in her Excellent b&b. What a great little place i have stayed in 5* hotels not as good as this. The room we had was big and clean with a huge bathroom and aircon that actually worked. Breakfast set-up was so simple but great. If we're back this way will definitely use again.

We had a wonderful time in Ancona. The trestelles bed and breakfast was GREAT. Clean, comfortable and a really central location. We enjoyed the breakfast,clean room and delicious espresso machine. Nice hot shower. And a refrigerator large enough to put your leftovers in. We would definitely recommend this b and b to others and would come back again. Thanks so much Grazi Ciao

Our room was very clean and large, although there was a smell of perfume that required us to open the windows. The bed was very comfortable and the B&B is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk to Piazza Roma and many restaurants. ||||There is no outside signage so it was difficult to find and the street is busy with limited parking; this made it challenging to pull over and unload our luggage. We spent over three weeks in Italy so we are familiar with the traditional breakfast of coffee and pastry. However, the breakfast here is particularly poor, consisting of a push-button coffee machine and pastry wrapped in plastic! Out of the 7 places we stayed in Italy, this clearly had the worst breakfast. These two issues (unloading difficult and poor breakfast) result is a 4 star rating.

Pros:||- Angela, the proprietor, is extremely kind and friendly, always available by phone; ||- The building where this B&B is located was constructed rather recently, with everything in excellent condition;||- Everything is immaculately clean and well-maintained;||- Our room (queen bed and private bath) was quite spacious;||- This is a modest size B&B (actually a 3 bedroom apartment) with only three rooms available, so there is not a huge crowd of people;||- Location is excellent, just a short stroll to Piazza Roma in the center of Ancona;||- There is a six screen multiplex just across the street showing first-run films;||- Free wifi (at a slower speed but normal for most of Italy);||- Rates seem fair, given the central location;||- Pets are permitted with no extra charge.||||Cons:||- The mattress and pillows are made from a rather hard foam (rubber?) which took awhile to get used to;||- While we had our own bath, the other two bedrooms shared a bath down the hall. Since the floors are all hard surfaces, there was quite a lot of noise during the night when other guests were coming and going or when using the bathroom;||- The B&B is located on Via San Martino at a point where traffic is speedily exiting a long tunnel and one of the main entry points for the center of Ancona. Traffic noise can be quite intense at times;||- There is no elevator for reaching the B&B, located one floor up from the street level.||||All-in-all we had a pleasant three night stay here. This is a rather basic B&B, but it is immaculately maintained and Angela is a joy. However, if noise is an issue for you, it might be wise to bring ear plugs (just in case).

Very nice place for transit. The owner was very kind and serviceminded. Nice bedroom and clean. and bathroom was clean and fresh. Breakfest good and nice kitchen. We could leave our bags and go out after check out.

Arrived late in the evening (apx. 15 minutes walk from the harbour), but that wasn't a problem at all, got a great welcoming from the friendly owners. The B&B is nice and clean and if we ever comes back to Ancona, we would absolutely book this B&B again!
