Bed and Breakfast Verona - La Caminella Valpolicella - Relais de Charme

Stunning B&B in a beautiful Italian village. Rafaella was an excellent hostess. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed. A lovely breakfast with homemade treats was included each morning. The house has its own swimming pool and a vineyard close by. A car is definitely needed to make the most of sightseeing around stunning Lake Garda. Bardolino is only a 20 min drive from La Caminella - very accessible. I would highly recommend staying here for a truly authentic Italian experience.

A&B - Above & Beyond. In addition to great accommodation in a great location and beautiful outdoor facilities, we were spoiled by Raffaella, her family and her team. ||We started each day with a superb breakfast. But more importantly, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel part of the family in this gorgeous setting. ||And make sure you try the wine. Carilius wines are very impressive. ||In summary, one of the best experiences we’ve ever had - in Italy and beyond.

We had an amazing time at La Caminella. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are well kept and spacious. Our host, Raffaella, is one of the kindest and warmest people you will meet. No request was too difficult to accommodate and she has all the best recommendations in town. We were unlucky enough to get a flat tyre just after check-out and Raffaella personally drove to meet us, helped us find assistance and stayed with us until everything was sorted. Thank you so much Raffaella!

Really enjoyed the stay - nice, clean and quiet, super breakfast and very friendly hosts. You can see the love to detail and you quickly become part of the family. Do not miss the wine and La Botega!

We had the beautiful family suite under the roof which was perfectly decorated, had a wonderful view and was very spacious. |Thanks to the airconditioning, the rooms where cool even though it was very hot outside. |The pool area was great and allowed us to relax after visits to the wine region and Verona. |However, what really makes the difference is Raffaella who is just the nicest host you can imagine. We felt like guests in a private home. Thanks again for everything also from our two sons!

We had the most wonderful couple of days staying here with our teenage daughter. The hosts and staff are a complete delight and can’t do enough for you. It’s like staying in the home of friends with beautiful taste. They make you feel so welcome. The house is so beautifully decorated! I was constantly enjoying looking at all of the beautiful furniture, decoration, outdoor seating area’s with lovely personal touches such as candles & lanterns. ||||Things I really liked;||||* Really large room with air conditioning & your own fridge!||* Lovely clean room & bathroom||* They will recommend and book restaurants for you (our Italian is terrible, so this helped take the pressure off)||* The room had brilliant air conditioning! ||* The pool toys! We had such fun with them!||* Breakfast is waiting for you in the most lovely dining room.||* A fridge in the kitchen which had chilled beers/wine/coke in if you wanted to have a drink outside by the pool or in one of the beautiful seating areas.||* The lovely sunbeds by the pool||* Hearing about their wine making they also do. They can do a tasting for you if you wish.||||We went during a heat wave & we were worried that being a B&B we would be shown the door after breakfast, but this is not the case. We were make welcome to use the pool during the day.||||We stayed at many hotels during our 2 week tour of Switzerland, France, Austria & Germany, but this was by far the highlight of our trip. 4 Star chain hotels are no comparison compared with this gem. ||||In summary, if you are thinking it may be a bit more expensive than you would like to pay for a room, I would advise cutting back on other accommodation and treat yourself to a stay here. ||||We also ate at a restaurant that Andrea & Raffella were going to on the same night for Andreas’s parents wedding anniversary celebration. It was fabulous! Ask Andreas, he’ll know the name (our bank statement hasn’t arrived yet, so will review there in due course). This was the best meal we have had for ages in a delightful garden setting.

Such a beautiful place to stay, the decor is stunning and so much effort is put into making your stay enjoyable, from their help in booking fantastic local restaurants to the family gifting the children Easter eggs on Sunday. All staff there truly went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. We felt totally at home and cared for. I think it would be impossible for anyone to give less than a five star review.||||The warmth of the family and staff radiates from the property, it’s a very happy and tranquil place to be. A truly fantastic experience and the wine which they make is amazing too (we were huge fans of their Amarone)!||||The property is in a great location to explore the local wine regions and the towns on lake Garda and the city of Verona are all within a 30 minute drive. We visited Venice for the day from the property which was very easy to do, we simply drove our hire car to the station at Verona and took the fast train. 5 stars! ||||We’ll definitely be returning.

This is the 2nd time we have had the pleasure of staying at La Caminella in San Pietro in Cariano, in the Veneto Region of Italy. Proprietors Raffaella and Andrea and their children are fantastic hosts and care for your every need. The B&B is gracious, scrupulously well decorated and clean and quite with beautiful views of the surrounding area and vineyards. Since our previous visit Raffaella has begun producing her own private label wines of Valpolicella. We enjoyed a private tasting and they were delightful.
